Have you heard of a misconception that sweating burns fat/calories? While we wish burning calories was as simple as sweating in a sweater, it's not! Sweating itself doesn't burn calories or fat. Why? Though sweating out enough liquid will cause you to lose some temporary water weight but it will be restored immediately once you rehydrate. You spend a lot of energy working hard during exercise, this process generates heat inside your body so your body's natural cooling process kicks in- sweating. Sweat is natural sign that your body is trying to cool down, which can be due to inside heat (energy spend) or exernal factors (heavy clothes, sun etc). Sweating is not directly connected to weight loss. So if you're working out your muscles hard enough that you start to sweat, you're burning calories in the process of working hard, not just because you are sweating. Heavy clothing causes you to *overheat, speeding up fatigue*, so your workout will probably be shorter and less efficient. Most importantly, you're risking dehydration, which could possibly lead to fainting, heat stroke and hospitalization. Besides, who wants to workout with 2-3 kgs of clothes weighing you down? Another interesting thing doing rounds on internet these day is the Chinese 𝙁𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙘𝙡𝙚 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮𝙨𝙪𝙞𝙩 These silicone bodysuits let the actors go through dramatic physical transformations that they couldn't easily do otherwise i.e. gaining 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀. Secondly, having HULK-Like figure is neither achievable (safely) nor sustainable.
