It’s been several (occasionally tense) months since Crab moved in with Lobster. While the space had seemed ideal at first, it became considerably less so as time went on. They often found their claws and shells knocking into each other. Especially during periods when Crab would regress and insist on carrying his knife everywhere.  Lobster loved Crab, and treasured his very existence. In fact he often found himself wondering how he had ever lived alone. However, Lobster did not care for being poked and prodded.

I may regret this, but if you have no idea what this means, please go here for something truly ridiculous and fun

#its the best spot bc all the crabs are guaranteed spawns. most of the good ones are just like. up to chance #u might get 5 u might get 15 from afking a couple minutes and waiting for the spawns. its cringe #the only other good guaranteed places are falcon coast and then doing full circle the amakumo peak shoreline. luhua pool also #but amakumo takes forever #some of the best non guaranteed spots are: #chenyu vale southernmost waypoint. ive gotten 40 in one go from just hanging #shore next to pyro cube #guyun stone forest around the ore spawn next to the domain w the cicin mage next to ruin guard island #the front of MH/GT domain can proc u a bunch if ur lucky #inazuma book domain island has like a 5-6 every time and its fast #koseki village shore has like . 12 or 2 no in between #im very sane yeah why do you ask KWDJKAWDJKWJKJKDJKWAD #crab meta my detested. i do this all for him but i hate it #btw you NEED yaoyao or sayu do NOT hate yourself by losing crabs by having to run after them its hell it WILL happen and you WILL morb #the nice thing is theyre both decent OW supports anyway so . yeah. yaoyao just run a random quicken team. sayu is anemo #asks

Something I love is my mom's romantic relationship. Like her partner and the ways they interact are both so wholesome and amazing. So you guys are gonna unlock some lore here.

Over two years ago my dad cheated on my mom and she said their relationship was over, because that was a rule she's always had for herself, once a cheater always a cheater. After that she started dating her current partner in a long distance relationship. They are an enby who lives in Norway and the two of them met on tiktok because they both cosplay the marauders era from Harry Potter.

In the two years they've been together my mother has gone and spent several months visiting them and meeting their family twice, once for summer and once for winter. Their family loves her and regularly invites her to things even though she can't attend. They video chat pretty much daily and text constantly. They've seen eachother at their highs and lows and been there through it all. An extremely funny fact is that my mom started learning Norwegian from a 6yr old with a very specific dialect and a speech impediment, because her partners son mostly speaks Norwegian with a bit of English.

Anyways the reason I was thinking about this is that yesterday I was in a voice chat with my bsd cosplay friends and my mom was across from me talking about the paperwork for getting citizenship through marriage with her partner. And I'd said she doesn't have to be engaged for a long time before getting married, which very much confused my friends and I had to explain. So it's been on my mind lol.

I love that they've talked about the steps needed for all of us the get citizenship, and how to get my sister and I onto disability there. And they even told my mom they might get a bigger house just so we can all still live together. They also send us Norwegian candy from time to time (sending things to the US is super expensive so it's not very often). They also send all her kids presents both randomly and for birthdays and Christmas. I have a crocheted pokemon plushie from them that I absolutely adore.

But yeah despite my mom being completely done with my dad he spent a year and a half trying to "win her back" but in like a really semi toxic roundabout way that all of us could see would never work except for him. And he only this year finally moved out of the house. Divorce papers FINALLY got filed and we all know he's going to drag it out and fight for full custody just to spite her. So because of that my mom and her partner are only dating, but mom has said the moment the divorce goes through she wants to take a small trip to Norway so we can all meet them in person and she wants to propose in person. Her partners son (again he's six) insists he's planning their wedding (they've never said anything about getting married to him), and he collects rocks and shells every time they go to the beach to use as center pieces for the tables.

Another thing is that with the safety of trans people quickly fading here they've also talked about how if things get bad enough that we are in danger here, we can all go to Norway. Like they told my mom if she suddenly said hey we're getting on a plane and will be there at x time, they will get their family together to get large enough transportation and housing for us (I have 4 siblings so there's 6 of us in all).

And and and!!! They are also disabled and have been since they were a kid. They don't have the same issues my sister and I do but they do have joint problems and chronic pain just like us so its been amazing to be getting first hand advice for a lot of things. They are so amazing i can't wait to meet them in person and give them a hug honestly.

Okay listen. I heard about the dazatsu week and honestly I can't help myself. They're so cute of course I have to participate. But im a slow writer and everything im working on for them rn is too long or complicated to use. So I have to write something new. So im really probably only going to be able to write a fic for one of the days. And there is still a chance it won't be finished it time! Im terrified. Im gonna be working so hard on this aha.

My goal is two fics, one of them being for two days. So I will at least get to play with multiple prompts. I will still be happy honestly if I only get one posted because hey at least I got to participate in some way ya know. Wish me luck :D

Today Gurkle is officially 7 years old! I didnt get to make a post like this for Scupa bc I thought he died when his bday rolled around but he too is 7!!! When I got them I didn't really know what the fuck I was doing but I did so much research into how to take care of these dudes and I'm still just amazed that they've made it this far 😭

Kermit only lived a week with me but he was living in VERY shitty conditions before me and I think the stress of everything just was too much

But I like to think that he had a good last week and that I was able to provide him a place where he felt comfortable enough to pass. Like a crab hospice sgdgdggdgd

Speedy passed on last year during a molt, but he was with me for 6 whole years! He was so little when he came to me and we got him so that Kermit would have a buddy since hermit crabs, despite the name, do not like solitary and need companions

We got Scupa a couple days after Kermit passed, so that Speedy wouldn't be alone. He was SO tiny when I got him and hes grown so much! I like to think that he and Speedy were friends bc they liked to be by each other a lot sgdgdg

Gurkle came to me by suprise! My aunt remembered I had lost Kermit and a whoooole month later was at the pet store and remembered that and picked me up one dggdgdg I was like "oh um... okay... thanks"

Gurkle did NOT like living here at first and he broke out of his tank twice within his first couple weeks. First time he got all the way to our front door! The second my mom found him in our bathroom closet, I think he was like "okay let's try THIS direction" and headed that way. I'm honestly just suprised he made it past the cats and three people sgdgdgdg I didnt even know he was out of the tank!

He since has calmed down and settled. He's been a pretty chill crab, still anxious and afraid of my hand/me coming close to the tank, but he does have moments I call bastard mode™️ where he just gets very energetic and active set on destroying the tank. Most days he just sits there head empty no thoughts (which I call Gurkling when I myself feel like that sgdgdgd)

He and Scupa get along better than they have but they do still have that sibling rivalry and will fight/argue over territory (usually the cup or the front of the tank)

It's been such a joy to watch them grow up and develop personalities, and I'm so lucky that they came into my life and that I've been able to help them get this far in their own lives! Heres to another 7 and many more after that!

and re my last post: that mindset applies to me as well btw. one time while i was swimming in the ocean i accidentally dug up a crab with my foot and it pinched the shit out of me (drew some blood), and after the initial pain reaction i just felt bad for scaring it enough to pinch me and hoped that it wasn't injured 😔
