✧ Sparring ✧
Characters : Tartaglia , Lumine
Tumblr media
Lumine was the only person who could match you in a ring.
After your sparring match, you would both be covered in bruises, grinning from ear to ear.
After, she would hug you and take your hand, pulling you into the house.
Lumine would hold you, kissing your bruises and cuddling you.
Lumine adores you, and she can’t help but become flustered when seeing you bruised because of her.
She loves it.
“Say, darling? Why didn’t you fight me sooner?”
Tumblr media
Tartaglia would beat you, every time without fail.
They don’t call him the weapon master for nothing, huh?
He would smile as you lay in the grass, breathless.
Tartaglia would hold out his hand, and when you take it, he would lift you up and immediately pull you inti a gentle hug.
Every sparring match he had with you would end up with him even happier,
pressing butterfly kisses all over your face.
When you got home, Tartaglia would cuddle you on the couch, making sure he didn’t hurt you too bad.
After all, you were the love of his life.
“It doesn’t hurt too much, right? Tell me if it does.”

i call and you come through ☆
☆ feat. | lumine, zhongli, lyney, lynette, yelan and kunikuzushi ☆ summary | they help you when you're in trouble. ☆ a/n | a lumine for lumiconic. and a country skewer too. this is so not ok. i'm so sorry if lyney/lynette/anyone is ooc!
Tumblr media
lumine |
lumine hadn't expected to see anyone at all, much less you. you were somewhat of a subject of interest to her; she wasn't quite sure what you did, and yet she hated you, or at least she told herself she did. she had headed out with the intent of soaking up the cool air before the morning came and the sun sweltered down again, but instead she'd run into you.
she's so focused on your face, at first--the frozen expression of terror as you scrabble uselessly at the drainpipe attached to your house, the way your lips look as you whisper, "back! get back, oh my archons! get back!"--that she doesn't realize what, exactly, you're sending back, and then she looks down. she has to blink a couple of times; are you really scared of cats?
you glance up at her as she makes her way closer, flashing her a pained smile. "thank archons you're here, lumine, seriously. i really can't manage all of these things by myself." her name in your voice sends a spark through her veins, but she ignores it and rolls her eyes at you. "huh, yn, i thought you were so brave? scared off by a couple of cats, are we?" she bends over to grab one around its waist. it mews plaintively at her as she strokes its head, and your eyes flicker to her hands and make their way to her lips. "i guess you aren't so much the brave knight that you let everyone believe you are?" she glances up at you, at the scarlet blush across your cheeks, and wants to drop the cats and give you a kiss.
"i'm just- i can handle everything else, but not cats," you protest, nudging one away with your foot. she bites her tongue. it's so cute. everything about you is endearing, but she can't say it. oh, archons, what a struggle this is. "can you really handle everything else, though?" she prods at you, nudging a rather insistent gray cat away with her boot.
you look at her with furrowed brows, stepping forward as the cats in your path clear away. "lumine, do you hate me?" you ask her, so sincerely, so nonchalantly, almost as if you don't care what her answer will be either way.
she starts, then stops. she looks at your cheekbone, your right eyebrow, your lips. she glances down at your hands, at her feet, anywhere but your eyes. "yes," she says to the ground.
"huh," you respond, squinting at her. she finally drags her gaze upwards, and your eyes sparkle with amusement. "because it doesn't seem like you do. in fact, it sort of seems like the opposite." and you walk down the pathway towards the gates of mondstadt with a newly acquired pep in your step, leaving her absolutely blindsided and spluttering.
Tumblr media
kunikuzushi |
kuni goes explicitly out of his way to avoid bumping into you, so really, he doesn't know why he stops when he sees you almost in tears at a food stall. he hovers behind you for what seems like an eternity, debating tapping you on the shoulder and asking what's wrong. he studies the back of your head and your neck, the slump of your shoulders wonders if he's acting like a creep. the vendor behind the stall has his back to the both of you, busily prepping something that smells absolutely exquisite.
you step back a bit while he's lost in his thoughts and step on his foot--and jump about a foot in the air. "oh, archons!" you exclaim, turning around. "i'm so sorry, kuni. i didn't realize you were there."
his face feels absurdly hot under your direct gaze, and he stutters out something along the lines of oh, it's okay. archons, it's like he's stupid when you're standing in front of him. why did he stop? why didn't he just keep walking? now he's going to be late, and you're still smiling at him, looking insufferably beautiful despite crying your eyes out a moment earlier.
he realizes he'd looked down at your feet, almost instinctively, and slowly drags his gaze upwards to meet your eyes. your eyes, which are perfectly ordinary, perhaps, but they send something through his veins, and they're so arresting, maybe he could drown in them? could he? your eyes, which reflect the stars, but there aren't any, because it's the middle of the day? maybe he's hallucinating, he tells himself.
you smile at him, and he's prepared to do anything you ask him to--honestly, why is he still here? you seem fine, he could probably move on, he thinks, but before he can, the vendor places something down in front of you.
"160 mora," the man tells you, and your brows draw together anxiously as you rummage through your purse. you pull out a handful of coins that jingle against each other in the palm of your hand, and the whole while, kuni watches your face. he watches the way your shoulders tense and the cords on your neck stand out as you swallow, and the way you blink rapidly but a tear slips out anyway. your eyebrows stay scrunched, and he can't resist the urge to pull out his own coin purse and wordlessly set down 160 mora.
you whip your head around to look at him, protesting wildly, but he flashes you a pained smile and tries not to look at your eyes as he steps back. "consider it my treat," he tells you, forcing the words out from his throat, wondering why you have such an impossible hold on him.
as he walks away, he replays the entire exchange in his head and vows to never stop for you again.
Tumblr media
yelan |
yelan regrets telling you that you can call her for help whenever, because now your cat's stuck in a tree and she's standing at the base, looking up at it, feeling immensely foolish. you're looking at her, though, and whenever you do that, her heart pounds so hard she's worried it'll leap out of her chest. she's seized by the undeniable urge to leap into the tree and fish your wretched cat out, if only you'll keep looking at her like that.
"please, yelan," you beg her, your face the epitome of pleading. she stares at you for a few seconds longer; in her mind, she's tracing your eyebrows and cheekbones and also your lips, oh archons, your lips. she can feel the heat rising to her cheeks and neck, and she's positive she's red, so she clears her throat and steps towards the tree.
she doesn't do romance, she doesn't do daydreaming about you, and she certainly should not be helping you wrangle your beast of a cat out of this tree, but unfortunately, here she is. you cheer her on as she turns a deeper shade of beet red, climbing up the tree in a way that she never had imagined she would ever do; climbing as though her life depends on it.
she finally reaches a branch that she can comfortably sit on, and realizes, to her horror, that she's out of breath. she leans over and rests her forehead against her knees and wills her breath to slow down so that she doesn't seem so desperately out of shape that you regret having asked her for help. when she looks down at you, you're staring back at her with an intensity in your eyes that makes her blush. "are you okay?" you call, voice threaded with concern. "do you want me to come up there?"
does she want you to come up here indeed. archons, she would kill for you up here. unfortunately, who knows what would happen if you came up here. so she shakes her head and continues upwards, craning her neck to impossible angles to search for your fool of a feline.
Tumblr media
zhongli |
zhongli doesn't pine after strangers (albeit a stranger with whom he's gotten rather close over the past few months) and he certainly doesn't stop to help many others. but for some reason, he's spent the evening chasing your dog around your house because you had cornered him earlier when he had been on his ritual walk. your closeness, combined with your hand on his (why did you always feel the urge to touch people in some way or another when you were talking to them?) had dried up all of the words on his tongue, but you had looked at him expectantly and he had nodded. nodded. he doesn't even like dogs.
now, he sits on the ground and tries in vain to coax the dog over (mora, its name was; what a stupid name) but it's set on ignoring him. "come here," he tries. "here! come here!" and then he realizes he's switched to the baby voice you often use on mora and has to glance over his shoulder to make sure no one's watching.
he inhales and leans back against the couch he's sitting in front of, staring at the darkening sky outside and wondering what it is you're up to. perhaps a dinner? when you'd let him in earlier, you'd been all dressed up; hair pinned up and your face bright and glowy. you'd smelled like glazelilies, and he had sputtered out agreements while trying not to look you directly in the eyes. briefly, he wonders who you would go to dinner with--and then banishes the thought from his mind.
mora ambles over to him and settles in his lap, but for once, he finds he doesn't mind. he strokes the dog's head and sighs, finally feeling at ease. "oh, aren't you a little nugget of gold? oh, yes you are. yes you are. yes you are." he's so wrapped up in the dog that he doesn't hear the door open and you come in until you're standing directly in front of him, your shoes dangling from your hand. "enjoying ourselves, are we, zhongli?"
Tumblr media
lyney |
lyney has taken a liking to you, as much as he tries to pretend it's just platonic. he follows you around, brushing off your complaints of lyney, please! i need to work! instead choosing to focus on the fact that him being around distracts you from your work. so when he stumbles upon you in tears on the ground, of course he sits down beside you.
you scrub your face with your fists, burying your head in your knees as lyney pats your back awkwardly, unsure of what to do. "yn...?" he finally asks. "are you... are you okay?"
"yeah," you squeeze out. "yeah, i'm fine." you blink up at the sky, trying to stop the pressure of tears from making their way out. "i had been working on these documents for a week, and i tripped over the bridge." you gesture weakly in the general direction of the bridge. "and now they're all... gone. down there. in the water."
he digs around in his pocket, searching desperately for a handkerchief. he had one yesterday, when he was practicing his magic tricks... where is it? where is anything when he needs it? blowing out a frustrated breath that rustles the hair on his forehead, he hands you some fake flowers. "do you want me to go get them?"
you laugh, the sound shaky and tear-filled. "thanks, lyney." you set the flowers by your feet and lean against him. "no, no, please don't. seriously, i don't want you--"
he leaps up, his cape flying out behind him. crossing one foot behind the other, he bows, tearing off his hat. a stray dove soars free, flapping erratically. "anything for you, ma cherie," he says, flashing you a wink. he trots off towards the bridge, his heels clacking against the pavement, heart racing.
you stare after him, unable to stop the laugh from bubbling up in your chest. you wipe your eyes and make your way down after him, calling his name. "no, yn!" he shouts valiantly, looking over his shoulder. "you sit down! and rest! i'll get them for you! i'll get--" and he trips over the bridge, splashing into the water below.
you lunge for the railing, scanning the bubbles worriedly. "lyney!" you yell, debating leaping in after him. "lyney, can you hear me? lyney, if you can hear me, come back! lyney, come back!"
he pops up with a sputter, his hat sodden and filled with--are those your documents? his hair sticks to your forehead, giving him a look akin to a rat, but he flashes you a smile so brilliant it sends your heart galloping again. "for you, ma cherie! for you!"
Tumblr media
lynette |
lynette ignores all of your attempts to woo her, despite the fact that they get her heart fluttering. you bring her romaritime flowers every tuesday, garlic baguette on thursdays. she thanks you cordially for these gifts, and then spends an hour writing thank-you letters that she never sends.
lynette tries to avoid you, even adding five minutes to her journeys across the city when she sees you. not because she hates you, but because simply being around you sends her into hysterics. (in her head.) she's flustered, she's red, and you're standing in front of her right now, offering a handful of berries. why, oh why, oh why hadn't she just cut behind the houses? now she's cornered, trying hard not to lose her composure. she closes her eyes and opens them, and you're still there, smiling at her, holding those berries.
"thanks," she mutters, reaching for them. you yank them out of reach and tsk. "you can't have them until you help me with this one thing! just this one, i promise."
she crosses her arms firmly over her chest, because oh my archons, your smile has her fully disarmed. "what is it?"
you clap, beaming. "i knew you'd say yes! i knew it!"
she interrupts you. "no, no, i haven't said yes yet. just tell me what it is."
"okay, okay! okay, you need to help me put up these posters." from seemingly nowhere, you wrench out a stack of crisp thick sheets--all with "REWARD: 5000 MORA. LOST CAT!" printed on them in big, alarming letters. she takes one, her brow furrowing.
"is your cat... lost?" she asks, glancing up at you.
you nod, sighing. "he's been gone since this morning. he's not an outdoor cat, you see. he's just so clingy, and it's not like him to be like this...." you trail off, clearing your throat. "you don't have to help me look for him, but could you please help me put up these posters?"
lynette shifts from foot to foot. she's got loads of work to do with lyney, but also... you're looking at her so plaintively, concern written so clearly in your eyes, that, she feels, to say no would be similar to murdering an animal. a baby animal.
"fine," she huffs, and you grab her hand. "thank you, lynette! thank you, thank you. i'll make it worthwhile, i promise!"
you let go and spin around, heading down the path, but she's frozen, her hand ice-cold and red-hot all at once. "lynette," you call over your shoulder. "are you coming?"
she shakes her head, trying to clear her feelings like cobwebs, and dashes after you.
four hours later, the sun's setting and everything is bathed in a golden glow, almost as though you're a statue. you're spent; exhaustion pools in dark circles under your normally-alight eyes. her legs ache and her fingers hurt from plastering posters on walls. "oh, my poor baguette," you complain, sitting down against a tree.
she can't stifle a chuckle. "you named your cat baguette?"
you look at her indignantly. "she's very long and very brown. it seemed fitting!"
this strikes lynette as the funniest thing she's ever heard, and she laughs until tears run down her face. her ribs ache and her stomach aches, but it's worth it for the look of bemused adoration on your face.
something brushes against her leg and she jumps, shrieking. your grin stretches ear-to-ear, literally, and you dive for the barrel she's sitting on. "baguette!" you yelp, cradling the cat in your arms. "oh, my gosh, baguette!"
the sun vanishes behind the clouds, and they glow from the inside. almost like you, she thinks. it's a picture-perfect scene, an indignant baguette pinned between you and her, one of your arms wrapped around her shoulders as you kiss her cheek. she never wants to leave.

Comfort After A Nightmare - Male!Reader x Lumine
CW: None.
Tumblr media
Her steps echo through the damp, dark hallways.
A maze. She always hated those. Dirty, rotting, forgotten with little to no treasure to be found. This time, her pursuit was not motivated by any prize however.
Her eyes follow the trace of white pages, trampled into the muddy floor by undiscernable footsteps. On them, the sketches you showed her countless times. Her face, drawn with the most meticulous of details covering them. Always smiling, always kind. A sparkle in her eyes, the only colored part of the image was mocking her, and the small heart on the corner of the page laughed at her efforts. At how stupid, worthless, idiotic she is.
She lost you. First it was Aether, then it was you. Two of the most important men in her life, gone. She can't help the tears. How pathetic. She can't hold even her dearest ones close.
The filth stains her stocking, the mud sucks her feet deeper in, making her lose her balance. She trips, her hands doing nothing to break the fall. Her face lands in the black, maggot filled grime.
Where she belongs.
"Stupid… S-stupid! Worthless! Dumb! D-dumb…!"
She raises to her feet, without her shoes. She doesn't have time to go back for them. The trail of ripped pages is dragging on, but the paper grows more… yellow by the second. Tattered, old. Sharp rocks cut her feet, blood mixing with the puddle water, but she powers through the pain and speeds up.
Lumine makes a turn, and comes face to face with a wall. She steps back in disbelief, but quickly turns back. Her eyes land on cold, unmoving stone. She snaps around in every direction, but all she can see is the same barrier. Surrounded by her shortcoming, walls she can't climb over.
"No, no, no…" Her cold prison has no compassion for her, only silent mocking.
Everything goes dark, making Lumine jump. She lifts her bruised and soaked hands to feel her surroundings. Much to her confusion, she doesn't feel the walls anymore - just lightless void. She makes a few hesitant steps forward, careful to maintain her balance. Out of the darkness, the pages emerge, forming a steady trail. Lumine follows it without hesitation, stepping over the more and more frequent yellowed pages.
Until she sees you.
You’re lying there, amidst a pile of your drawings, back turned towards her. She disregards her safety and rushes to kneel beside you. Your outfit, so ingrained in her mind, is stained with dark, red blood.
“Y/N? P-please…”
Lumine gently grabs your shoulder and tilts you sideways. Your eyes, once full of light, full of life, are now white, as is your skin. She chokes back a sob. The blood on your hands and cheeks is long dry.
If only she would have been faster.
“Y/N…” She grips your lifeless body tighter, cradling it in her arms. Hot tears stream down her cheeks, washing little bits of dry mud from her skin. “I’m s-sorry…”
Failure. Failure. Failure. That’s what she is, a failure. She barely even spent time with you. She wasn’t there to ease your worries, to hug and cuddle you when you were struggling. And yet you were always beside her, ready to help. And she?
She wasn’t even there to comfort you during your last moments.
Your body blackens, durning with a red flame - just like those of the many monsters she killed throughout her travels. This time too she is the murderer, the perpetrator. A failed partner, a disappointing lover.
Lumine sits among your ashes and weeps.
“Lumine.”
She jolts awake, instantly sitting up. Her heart is racing, her arms shooting out to assess her surroundings. Lumine is breathing rapidly, the remnants of the dark maze still clouding her mind. She quickly registers your hands on her shoulders, warm and firm. Safe, secure, real.
“Y-Y/N…”
She drops her head on your chest, sobbing quietly. You pull her body closer to yours.
“It’s okay. It’s okay. I’m here.” Gently, you rub circles into her back. “That was just a dream.”
She embraces you, nuzzling her head into your frame. “I’m sorry… I’m s-sorry… I… I s-should spend more time with you, I should b-be home m-more.. I should b-be…”
She tries her best to explain, to promise that she won’t fail you. That she won’t let you down, she won’t fail, she won’t be such a pathetic excuse of a girlfriend.
“Please, Lumine. Don’t say such things.” You keep your voice as gentle as you can, and lean back on the bed with her.
“B-but…”
You turn her tear-soaked head to look at yours. Her golden eyes are filled with sorrow. “No buts. I love you, Lumine. Nothing will change that.”
She sniffles. “I… I can’t lose you too, p-please… stay…”
You pull her closer into your embrace, caressing her blonde hair with your fingers.
“I’m not going anywhere, Lumine. I’ll be here. For as long as I can, I will support you, no matter where your journey will take us.”
“C-could you… promise me? P-please…”
You smile. “I promise.”

Tumblr media
Characters: Lumine, Wanderer and Albedo.
Warnings: Mentions of depression and overall apathy. GN Reader.
Notes: How they would comfort you when you're just feeling under the weather. Thank you for requesting, I'm very happy to be back and I hope you enjoy this!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’re in your room, the bed sheets are tangled all over your legs. The sun is way up in the sky and you should be up as well, doing things around the house and working, but you just can’t bring yourself to it.
You hear the sound of Lumine’s footsteps in the house. She must’ve arrived early today. You want to get up and greet her but you’re ashamed of the state you’re in, so you don’t move when you hear the door creaking.
Lumine enters the room and you turn to the side, your eyes finding hers, golden like the sun beyond your window. You don’t know what she saw in yours, but her expression softens when she looks at you.
“You look tired, my heart.” She approaches with careful steps, the bed sinking by your side when she sits next to you on the soft mattress. “What happened, if it isn't too much to ask?”
You take a moment to reply, closing your eyes, welcoming the darkness of your eyelids. “Nothing… Nothing really happened. I’m just…” You can’t find the words, the excuses piling up on your tongue. “I know I should get up and be productive but I just can't bring myself to it…”
Lumine shakes her head softly, locks of golden hair falling over her shoulders. Her golden eyes are gentle on yours.
“There is no need to push yourself to do anything. We all feel a bit tired sometimes and there is nothing wrong with that. If you feel like resting today, then rest.” Lumine reaches a hand to you, placing strands of hair behind your ear gently. You feel the softness tucked there. “Try not to be too hard on yourself, okay?”
You let her words fill the room for a moment, sinking in your bones. You let out a sigh, your ribcage shivering. “I’m sorry.”
“There’s nothing for you to be sorry about, my love. Take time to recover from whatever makes you feel like this and don't worry about accomplishing anything today, okay?” Lumine stretches her arms above her head, her back popping. “Ah, in fact, I could use a break as well. Do you mind if I lay in bed with you for a little while?”
You nod easily —Yes, of course, you say— as you make room for her on your side of the bed, your warmth still lingering. Lumine scoots close to you, smiling softly at the close contact.
“Let me take your mind off things, if just for a moment.” Her soft hands reach to cup your face, stroking your cheeks gently with her fingers, and your skin tingles. “You don't have to do anything but to lie here and snuggle up with me. Does that sound okay?”
“That sounds wonderful.” You close your eyes to her warmth, resting your cheek against her palm, breathing in deeply her sweet scent. “Thank you, Lumine.”
Lumine strokes your hair softly, her fingers caressing your scalp sending waves of calmness through your skin. You’ve never felt warmer than you do now. “You know… I’m a little happy. That you trust me enough to show your emotions around me. I want you to know that you can cry in my arms, you can laugh in my arms, and you can feel sad, too. I’m here to hold you, and all of what you feel is okay.”
You snuggle closer to her, almost involuntarily, your breath tickling the skin of her collarbone. “Thank you, but I… I don’t want to be a burden to you, Lumine.”
“Please, don’t say that.” She is quick to say, her fingers still playing softly with your silky hair. “Emotions need to be felt properly in order to heal, you have to let them out eventually. So feel your sadness, feel your worries, and express them as best as you can. I promise to hold you for as long as you want me to, okay?”
You feel a familiar warmth sitting behind your eyes. You lean to her, letting her easy affection melt away your sorrows. “Lumine, you’re too nice to me.”
“Not at all. It’s my pleasure.” Lunine smiles tenderly and nuzzles her head on your hair, wrapping her legs around yours with a familiarity that overwhelms you in the best of ways. She lets out a soft and cozy yawn as she continues to stroke your hair. “I’m happy to be with you. Always.”
“Are you tired?” Your voice comes out muffled by Lumine’s chest, rising slowly with her breaths, calming. “You can rest if you want, too. I will be alright now.”
Lumine chuckles lightly as she gently caresses your arms and shoulders, holding you tightly to her. You let her do, pressing closer to her still. The safest place in the world.
“Don’t worry about that, my love. I still have energy to spare.” She smiles fondly at you, her fingers caressing your cheeks and your jaw with an easy joy that you’ve learned to recognize, tucked in her touch. And then, she yawns again. She leans to you, gently pressing a kiss to your forehead. “Maybe just for a few minutes?”
You smile at Lumine’s tired grin, bright like the evening sun. You nod slowly, resting your head again against her chest again, letting her heartbeat fill your ears and calm your mind. “Just for a few minutes.”
Lumine smiles and closes her eyes too, her head resting on your pillow, her arms full of you. She closes her eyes, and you feel her warmth spreading to your bones, soaking you in warm affection. She whispers, I love you, and you finally let yourself relax in her familiar touch. Taking a break is okay, from time to time, if it’s in her welcoming arms.
.
Tumblr media
You’re in the living room, laying on the couch and scrolling through your phone. You’re not seeing anything interesting at all. Your eyes are itchy, but you can’t seem to do anything else at the moment. You told Wanderer you were going to do the dishes a million hours ago, but you haven’t found the energy to get up and get to it yet. And you don’t feel exactly good about that. You wish you could just lock your phone, get up and do the chores you’re supposed to, but your brain is fuzzy and your limbs are heavy and you simply can’t bring yourself to do anything today. And it’s draining to feel like this.
You hear the front door opening and your heart shatters. You hear Wanderer’s steps, heavy and familiar, walking up to the room you’re in. You don’t look up at him, but you know he’s stopped in front of you, seeing you’re in the same position he left you in. He frowns, his brow creasing at the sight of you.
“You’re wasting your time lazing around when there are chores to be done.” He says, almost harshly. “It’s about time you start pulling your weight around here.”
“I’m sorry.” Your voice sounds so tired. “I’ve just…”
He stops you, raising a hand. His ocean eyes raging like a tempest.
“There they are! Those are the excuses I've been waiting for. And there's the guilty look on your face… What's the matter? Are you going to complain that you don't feel appreciated?”
“No, no! It’s not that!” You let out a sigh, defeated. Your heart is pumping, clamoring against your ribcage. “I’ve just been struggling with depression lately and… Doing chores just takes a lot of my energy… I'm sorry.”
He throws his hands in the air, huffing.
“Depression, anxiety, apathy…  It's always some sort of mental health issue with you humans, isn't it? You know…” He looks at you, and something in your eyes makes the words on his tongue die. He just stares at you for a moment that feels too long, and rubs his face. Eventually, he lets out a long sigh. “…Alright. You know what? I’ll help you with the dishes. Just this once.”
His words are menacing, but his ocean eyes are softer on yours. You feel your lips drawing a small smile, the tempest on your chest dying down. “Really?”
“Yes. But don’t get used to this.” He crosses his arms over his chest, rolling his eyes. “They’ll be done faster if it’s two of us. Now come on, let’s get this done before I change my mind.”
He reaches a hand out to you, not looking at you directly when he helps you up. You go to the kitchen and he hasn’t let go of your hand yet. It’s warm on your skin, slightly bigger than yours, his warmth pressed to you like it was made to fit there, to soothe your raging heart and storming mind with its presence. You let the comfort slip in your veins at the contact.
“…Let's divide the tasks among ourselves. You take the cutlery, and I'll take the bowls, cups, and plates.” He instructs, pointing at the things on the sink. He turns to you. “That seems fair, right?”
“Absolutely.” You say, and you begin cleaning the spoons and forks eagerly. With him by your side, encouraging you silently, this task doesn’t feel as tasking anymore. You still feel slightly guilty for not doing it earlier, considering it’s not a hard task at all, but you’re a little happy that he decided to help you out. His soft spot for you makes you want to smile as you clean the spoons.
“Ah, and make sure that you wash the knives extra well, okay?” Wanderer draws a mischievous grin, his ocean eyes sparkling. “You never know when you might need self-defense against a home invader.”
“You’re insufferable!” You nudge him. The water splashes a little and he gets a little soap on him.
“Ohoho! How rude! Don't you know that the dishes are my sacred time for contemplating life's mysteries? You really can't let me enjoy one thing, can you?” He splashes a bit more water on you in retaliation.
“Oh yeah? And what mysteries are you contemplating?” You let yourself draw an easy smile at him.
Wanderer rolls his eyes, looking away from you for a moment.
“The mystery of whether I can spend the rest of my life with a person who deliberately splashes dirty dishwater on me…”
You smile softly up at him, your chest blooming with flowers at his words.  “And what is your verdict so far?”
“So far all evidence points to no.” He sticks his tongue out. And then, he turns his face to the side and you can see the glimpse of a smile. “But… Let’s give it another few years. Just to be sure, you know?”
You can’t help yourself. You lean in and kiss his cheek softly, your lips tenderly pressed to his soft skin. “Thank you for helping me out with the dishes today.”
He’s silent for a moment, his cheeks flushing.
“Don’t mention it. Just try not to ruin my contemplating mood too often, okay?” He kisses the top of your head. If you didn’t know him better, you’d even say he’s acting a little shy. “What do you say we grab a bite after this and watch a movie? I will even let you choose this time. How’s that for generosity?”
You gasp, taking in the opportunity. “Can we watch Barbie?”
There’s a silence. Wanderer looks at you with no expression on his face, his ocean eyes deep and empty. Then, he sighs.
“…Do you ever grow up?” He shakes his head, locks of deep blue hair falling over his eyes, but he draws a small smile. Just for you. “Okay, fine. We can watch Barbie.”
“I love you.” You lean in and kiss his cheek again, smiling. You suddenly feel much better than before. Your limbs don’t feel heavy anymore and your mind doesn’t feel as fuzzy. You feel comfortable in his presence.
“I… I love you too.” You feel Wanderer’s cheeks grow warmer. He turns away from you, focusing on the dishes again. “Now, let’s get these dishes done. That Barbie movie isn’t gonna watch itself.”

You’re at your desk. Again. After what feels like the nth hour. You were supposed to focus on working today but your brain is doing everything in its power to prevent you. You feel exhausted, mentally and even physically now. It shouldn’t be so hard to focus, but today you can’t seem to win against your sabotaging brain, and you sigh loudly. Albedo hears you from the other room.
You see his face peek at you from behind the door frame, his emerald eyes glowing in the dim light. “You sound tired. Have you had any breaks today?”
“A break is the last thing I need.” You groan, burying your face in your hands, defeated. You’re losing the battle against yourself today and you don’t feel like trying anymore.
“You seem… Exhausted.” He steps into your room wearing his work-robe, and places a heavy hand over your shoulder. “Do not push yourself too hard. I have noticed the past few weeks that you’re sighing considerably more, and I cannot understand why, especially when some days you loom clearly fatigued when you work. I hope I am not being too overbearing…” He strokes your shoulder with his thumb, comforting. “I cannot help but notice your declining energy, and I worry for you.”
“Thank you, Albedo.” You let out a sigh, placing a hand over his on your shoulder, stroking his smooth skin. “I don't know why, but lately I can't find it in myself to get to work like I've always done. It's like everything's just… Overwhelming.”
“I can certainly understand the feeling.” He takes a chair and sits by your side, a bit closer than usual. He looks at you with attentive eyes. “Hmm, you must have a lot of worries for your work, and yet in turn, this causes more pressure for you to perform. I know my words are not much of a comfort, but I am here for you, not just as your friend, but also as…  Your lover. If you require some time off, I shall make sure your rest is undisturbed. Do not be hesitant to ask me.”
“Thank you, Albedo.” You smile up to him, sincerely, the insides of your chest warming at his words, like your own personal sunlight in the gloom of yourself. “You’re very kind.”
Albedo draws a small smile, the kind that you adore. “Oh. This is my time-tested experiment. I have discovered it has a 100% success rate to make someone smile. Please, look at this.”
He pulls out a piece of paper which contains a drawing of… A cow. You stare at him for a few seconds before starting to laugh.
“How is this supposed to make me feel better?” You chuckle.
“It is a cow. I cannot see how this does not result in happiness.” He stares at the drawing and then at you with a satisfied smile. “It works by taking advantage of the human brain's pleasure mechanism to release endorphins. Studies have shown that this picture generates a sense of joy in 90% of test participants, even for those who usually remain apathetic to such things.”
“I don't know about the cow, but you being a nerd always cheers me up.” You shake your head, still feeling the laughter tickle your throat like bubbles. You turn to him, pressing a sweet kiss to his cheek. It lasts only a moment. “Thank you, Albedo.”
“I have achieved my mission, then.” You smile as Albedo’s cheeks turn slightly pink at your praise. He caresses your cheek slowly, his warmth melting to your skin. “Would you permit me to try another experiment?”
You tilt your head, curious. “What is it?”
Albedo draws a small smile, his bright eyes gentle on yours. “I wish to comfort you with my lips. A simple kiss, a symbol of affection. I can tell you are upset. It is best to express our feelings together.” A pause. “I also want to observe your facial expression while I stroke your hair.”
You chuckle at his strange words. “Are you saying you want to give me kisses and cuddles to cheer me up?”
His cheeks grow pink but he nods still, taking your cheek in his warm palm. “Yes, the experiment calls for a series of kisses and cuddles from an affectionate male partner to be administered to the subject. The longer the series, the more effective the results. Is this experiment to your liking?”
“It is.” You nod softly, taking in his warmth, his kindness and his love for you, evident in the curve of his smile. “But not here. On the couch, maybe?”
Albedo strokes your cheek for a moment. Then, he lets go and reaches for your hand, smaller and familiar on his. “Yes, we can certainly conduct the experiment on the couch. Come, this way.” He says, and lets you be guided by warm hands, your worries forgotten even if for just this moment in time with him.

Hi! Can i ask for Dry Humping Headcanons for Lumine and Aether for female reader? Thanks
Both Travelers have had their fair share of loves, but they'd never last enough time to develop anything overly emotional. Honestly, all they've truly had is each other since birth. So when they see broken families on their separate adventures, it cuts them to the core. Sometimes each will roll over in their respective campsites to expect the other to have their back. Only to find it empty.
Until you.
Lumine never wanted to fall again. Familial, love, she had to stay strong against deep connections. She couldn't lose anymore, couldn't lose you. So when you rolled over in your sleep and wrapped your leg around her, she froze, eyes blown and heart caught in her ribs. Sure, you'd shared lingering glances and touches, hints of elemental energy that buzzed between. But to think you were this deep...she shuddered.
She let you do your thing until you came. She thought that would be the end of it, but little did she know, that night inspired her own dreams; she did the same thing to you. Until it became a nightly ritual and the two of you remained a tangle of limbs.
Aether was similar to his sister in the ways of love, except his emotions tended to give himself away. You both knew you liked each other, but he'd never outright say it in plain words. He'd do things for you or tell you that your friendship meant the very world to him.
So one night beneath the stars when you rolled over and rested your arm over his chest, his skin burned as if you'd placed hot coal on him. Only then did he realize his raging sleep boner.
The boners didn't stop that night, either. Wet dreams haunted him. He wanted to kick himself over his stupid biological response to something so small. The cuddling turned more significant as time went on. Until he often found himself grinding into your leg groggily each morning. Once the two of you passed the point of no return, the touching and humping and rolling became routine each private chance the two of you could get. (and not so private sometimes.) It wasn't even that he was just sexually repressed, he kept telling himself. He just missed being touched so much that he would take hold of it and solidify it into his body one way or the other.

Yandere! Villainous new kid! Lumine
Admirer Profile
🌑 Once you left them she decided that soon she would also leave the nest and embark on her own journey to the outside world and become independent to make her dreams turn into the reality she craves.
🌑 Through meticulous planning and preparation she launched her own self made “business”which was a hit with the market that made having reliable “workers” and trusted “confidants” much more accessible for her convenience.
🌑She made her pen name known, feared, and admired by all but a few who wants to resist her growing influence.
🌑 Eventhough she’s consistently swamped with the responsibility of overseeing everything from above her station she couldn’t help but have lingering thoughts of her childhood sweetheart. The urge to come and sweep you off your feet just like you did to her long ago was somewhat too much to resist.
🌑Compared to back when she wasn’t capable of spoiling you she’s rich enough to buy ownership of well known brands with just a wave of her hand. She’ll create her own funds dedicated for her precious moonshine and spoil you rotten with anything you’d wish for.
🌑Should you mention that anyone was bothering you, she’ll send her trusted confidants to go and guard you so that you’ll be safe from whoever means to harm you.
🌑She’ll make sure to always take the time out of the day to shower you in praises and take care of you in only the best and lavish way possible for her adorable moonshine.
🌑However the price for her devotion would be for you to surrender your heart, body, and soul completely for her alone. She must be entirely sure that you’re prepared to serve her until the day her secret ambitions comes true.
🌑When the day she comes to have you pledge your allegiance you must have a steeled resolve or else you’ll get more than what you bargained for.
🌑Lumine’s also particular with secrets being hidden from her despite it being one of her habits. She always writes secrets in her dairy which is hidden away from sight in the darkest depths of no return. Due to her natural perception she’s a lie detector so if you’ve ever lied you’ll be punished accordingly.
🌑She’s not one to hold back on disciplining her darling she can be as lenient as she is strict if you ever took her good will for granted.
🌑Truly she’s a sadistic possessive individual who isn’t afraid to exact petty revenge should she ever find out that you’ve been going around and having too much “fun” with others from her trusted sources of intel.
🌑She’d rather have you focus on her alone, especially if the others are not on the same level as herself. She despises the thought of ever sharing you with useless fools who have nothing to their name.
🌑If you’ve truly made her angry I hope you’re prepared as she’s the dangerous type to actually kill you without hesitation if you’ve ever mistook her love for weakness.

to think that we could stay the same - lumine x gn!reader
summary: “Whatever it will fix? Will it fix the world around us?” You made a wide gesture around yourself, at the world you learned to love and enjoy that now was ruins, and then you pointed at yourself, “Will it fix us?” of foolish love and apologies, of ruined world and warmth that will never come back.
tags: MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH, hurt/no comfort, reader dies but the scene isn't detailed, this is... kind of abyss!lumine but to be perfectly fair, this fic is also very canon divergence.
notes: jfc shoutout to @kopidense who is the one and only reason this fic exists!! okayy sooo this! is for secret santa event for @mafuyuslover!! it was absolutely a pleasure to write and once again massive thanks to kopi!! i kinda went in different direction than yours but... the end is the same. silly. this fic just took my soul i fear. anyways. happy holidays i come with angst.
Tumblr media
"...why are you crying?"
Gaze into the abyss for too long, and it will gaze back. That’s what you learned, after spending centuries hunting her. Searching every nook and cranny, letting your mind be corrupted with desperation and despair, grabbing the dark, clawed hand reaching you from the abyss.
Hunting.
When did your adoration for her turn into the need to bring her down? To bring her to her knees, to yell out all your sadness and longing for something, that will never come back. For the days full of light and warmth, with Lumine holding your hand, fingers intertwined, Aether looking at you two with a smile, still alive–
You looked at her. Once, you would whisper poetry into her lips, of your never-ending love for her, your hopes of always staying together because, oh, so much you defeated together, surely there was nothing that could ever separate you.
Nothing could. You foolishly believed in it, and yet were proven wrong.
"There you are..." You gritted your teeth, looking at the woman you once loved. Maybe you still did. A part of you did, drowned by the grief of losing her. "I've been looking for you for so long..."
Lumine raised her chin, her steel gaze meeting yours. A little broken, tears threatening to spill out, lips twisting into something akin to a frown.
"You didn't answer my question."
And yet nothing seemed to match her gaze. Not the gentleness of her voice, causing goosebumps on your skin. How you missed her voice, how you missed hearing it, the softness directed at you and only you.
In Lumine’s hand, a sword materialized. The same she used to put down every enemy daring to attack you, to raise its own weapons at you. None of them had the time to react before meeting the sharp blade of a lover.
And yet this time, her fingers barely gripped her sword.
You materialized your own, gripping it tight.
“[Name],” she repeated, her voice losing its softness and gaining cold in its place.
You really didn’t want to cry. Not in front of her.
"I am not." Yet your voice broke and you felt first tears drop from your eyes into your cheeks.
Her eyes softened.
She approached you slowly and you couldn’t help but just let her, despite everything screaming at you to move away, no, don’t let her get any closer–
She reached out her free hand to cup your cheek, but she froze mid-air. Her eyes looked all over your face, looking for anything– something telling her what to do, and you only continued looking at her.
Her thumb swiped at your cheek, meeting a lone tear falling from your eyelashes.
“I didn’t mean for it to end… like this,” Lumine said softly, her palm gently cradling your cheek, her eyelids dropping slightly, tiredness evident in her features, now that the stern mask she wore on her face broke down even further. “I’m sorry.”
Something also broke down in you.
“Sorry?” you breathed out, eyes widening in sudden anger, “You’re sorry? After leaving me completely alone, for centuries and centuries, and the most you say is… sorry? You can only apologize as if it would change anything?”
(Something else screamed in you, wanting to throw yourself into her arms, cry into her shoulder, and act as if everything was fine again. To ignore the blade in her hand, sharp as always.)
She stifled a gasp and moved her hand away as if burned, eyes wide at your words. She took a step back and let her hand fall to her side. She opened her mouth to speak, but you were faster.
“What will an apology do, Lumine?” you asked her, forcing your voice to sound stern, blinking the tears away, not wanting to show any more weakness.
She didn’t answer.
“Whatever it will fix? Will it fix the world around us?” You made a wide gesture around yourself, at the world you learned to love and enjoy that now was ruins, and then you pointed at yourself, “Will it fix us?”
Her eyes were now wide, brows furrowed and lips twisted, the mask broken completely.
Was she finally feeling the centuries-old sadness that you lived with for the past years?
(Could she? Though Lumine lived for millennials, you were sure, could she feel even the tiniest drop of your sadness? Could she?)
“Answer me.”
That seemed to throw her out of whatever state of shock she was in and she took a deep breath, looking down.
She stepped back.
“...I had my reasons.”
“Reasons?!” You burst out, in complete disbelief that something like having reasons could be an acceptable excuse for all the pain that her absence caused, “Fuck your reasons, Lumine! Whatever could be possibly–”
“I had hoped that the next time we met, it would be in a better place, with no need to bring out our weapons,” she said quietly and you wanted to laugh, “Where I would tell you of my journey and why I made all these choices. And none of them was easy.”
When she looked back at you, there was– something in her eyes– newfound intensity and hurt underneath it. It hurt to look at her, sudden fear climbing its way to your mind.
She gripped her sword tighter and now it was your turn to step back, raise your weapon higher.
“I never wanted to end it like this,” her tone was sincere, you could easily tell, yet you found it hard to believe.
“If you never wanted it to end like this, then… gods!” you yelled in frustration, “Why couldn’t you just do something else?! Was leaving me and this world to ruin the only possible choice?”
“I never told you, because I knew you wouldn’t understand my choices, not until you would see the truth of this world for yourself,” Lumine said, her voice loud and harsh to your ears.
“What truth? Of what world” you interrupted her, ”The one that your very hand led to ruin?”
And that seemed to take her aback for a moment, lips parting and closing before she spoke again.
“...I’m sorry, [name].” She raised her sword, as if ready to lunge at you.
You blinked.
“You’re going to what, kill me?” you barked out, a smile of disbelief tugging at your lips. But silence was the only reply you got, and a terrible realization started to settle in.
“...you’re going to kill me.”
There was only silence.
With her first move, your fate was sealed and her blade meet your own.
(It was only when your cold body was lying in the pool of your blood, completely lifeless, Lumine allowed herself to cry for you, not for the first time in the past centuries and certainly not the last.)

(Genshin Impact) Lumine's S/O comforting her after a nightmare
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lumine jolts straight up in bed, panting heavily.
Her eyes take a moment to adjust to the darkness as she slowly realizes where she is. It was just her bedroom, and in her bed.
Lumine sighs as her hand massages her temple.
(Lumine) "..."
(S/O) "Lumi?"
Lumine looked to her left as she feels a hand grab her arm.
She relaxed a little bit when she feels S/O's warmth envelop around her with a soft hug.
(S/O) "Bad dream?"
(Lumine) "...Yeah."
S/O didn't need to ask what it was about.
The memory of losing Aether always replayed in her head. Not to mention their "Reunion".
She had so many questions, and not enough answers. It gnawed her heart to no end.
Some days, the things she's seen in Tevyat is enough to break her, yet she has to carry on.
Thankfully, she didn't need to do it alone.
Lumine felt S/O begin to prop themselves on the bed before she put a hand on their shoulder, gently pushing them back down.
(Lumine) "I'll be fine."
(S/O) "You don't need to hide it from me, you know."
(Lumine) "I know. I just wanna rest, S/O."
S/O said nothing else as they nodded, bringing Lumine into a tight hug.
She also remained silent as her arms slowly wrapped around their waist.
Lumine didn't have to say how much they meant to her. S/O could feel it in her hug.
Her head rested against their chest as she drift off back to sleep. Though she didn't dream anything else that night, she rested in the comfort of a loved one's arms.

What if Isekai'd Reader is there to fuck shit up and not ponder on the consequences of their actions?
Like
Isekai'd Reader who uhhh, shows up in day one of the game starting, tags along Traveler because they do know some of the lore (right up until, you know, they got Isekai'd) and overall behave like a better tutorial, companion and friend. But also, they might just want to introduce bizarre human games (like twister, cards against humanity, uno, etc.) as a way to earn some quick money, no, mora. Whether they have a vision or no it's sth they are both looking forward to and also dreading it because they like being a bystander, maybe someone who knows how to rescue and evacuate people or have basic first aid knowledge. But being in the front lines? And now being unable to bring them back from the death? Nu-uh, hard pass. One thing is seeing all this shit go down through the screen and another is being here watching history being made.
On a lighter note, Isekai'd Reader maybe trying to make some of their ships real? Acting like a decent human being and not a disgusting gross pervert (which they might or might not be, they died once and they don't feel like dying again this time due to their online horny persona). Also Isekai'd Reader who is oblivious if any character or NPC hits on them because, well, everyone here is so blinding and all they can offer at best is this cool human game in which you write down a name, location, fruit, vegetable, animal, color and something else based on the alphabet letter that one was thinking about before announcing it for everyone else to start agressively writting down.
Extra points: If Traveler is the one smitten by Isekai'd Reader and goes absolutely feral if anyone tries to harm them. Lumine who smiles sweetly while holding Isekai'd Reader's hand but her eyes are devoid of any color snd light like Childe's if anyone tries to flirt with them, she is generous as she is to let anyone look at them so people should be grateful with that alone. Aether who makes sure to hug Isekai'd Reader from behind and rest his forehead on their shoulder, he acts like a puppy with them but when he lifts his gaze to meet the poor unfortunate soul who was getting too close to Isekai'd Reader in an attempt to make a move, it's a wonder how this person didn't die on the spot.

In her arms pt. 3
Characters: Ganyu, Hu Tao, Kokomi, Yoimiya, Keqing, Lumine, Ningguang ×gn! reader
Genre: Fluff
Walking through a busy street filled with noise, you can't help but notice a blue-haired girl barely keeping her eyes open from constant fatigue. As you get closer, you'll recognize her as Ganyu, who is once again trying to take on as many responsibilities as possible that are too difficult to perform in one day. Using all your charisma and charm, you convince her to take a short break from work. Having found a quiet meadow near the city, you decide to lie down right on the grass, enjoying the smell of flowers growing nearby. Snuggling closer to you, she puts her head on your shoulder while you gently take her hand in yours, interlacing your fingers in a strong lock. So you enjoy time alone with each other, away from all the problems and responsibilities.
This never-discouraged girl always finds a new way to play a trick on you, and you never stop falling for her innocent pranks. So this time you couldn't hold back a startled cry when Hu Tao sneaked up to you to put her hand on your shoulder and whisper an innocent "Boo" in your ear. You were about to throw off her hand to show your displeasure with such jokes, when she suddenly clung to you with her whole body, wrapping her arms around your waist, after which she apologized in a low voice for scaring you so much. After standing there for a couple of minutes, she pulls away, leaving a barely noticeable kiss on your earlobe.
Despite her attempts to listen carefully to your story about what happened during the day, Kokomi simply cannot resist the tiredness that had been growing for all day. With difficulty keeping her eyelids open, she tries to get into the essence of the sentence you just said. This girl has to spend a lot of time away from you, so at least the remaining time before going to bed she tries to devote to you. But after just a minute you look at her and notice how sweetly she is snoring on your shoulder, throwing her arm over you. You smile when you see how beautiful her sleeping expression is: so innocent that you want to take all the work on yourself, just to give her some time to rest. Throwing a blanket over the two of you, you soon fall asleep too.
Every time you meet, Yoimiya is as happy, as if you haven't seen each other for ages. And as soon as she sees you in the crowd of passers-by, she waves her hand at you and runs towards to quickly get in your cozy and warm embrace. With your arms wide open, you catch her on the run and spin with her, forgetting about all the people around. Holding tightly on to your neck, she gives in to emotions and does not hold back laughter from happiness to be with you. Only when you see a wide smile on her face, you involuntarily start laughing in response. Having lowered her to the ground, she immediately takes you by the hand, taking you to the city center, along the way telling how many interesting things happened while she was away.
This hardworking girl just can't tear herself away from work for a second, which is why you don't see each other as often as you would like. Because of it almost every day you drag Keqing out from her desk under the pretext of having lunch together. On the way out of town, she asks where you are actually taking her, because you have already passed by all the available restaurants in Li Yue. To which you just smile mysteriously. After walking a little more, you come out to an incredibly beautiful place that you found in advance for a picnic. Having spread the blanket, you take out her favorite hand-cooked shrimp balls. After lunch, you will have a long warm hug before she has to leave again.
Every day you spend together, traveling around Teyvat in search of her brother. After all, you once promised Lumine to help find him at all costs. And although there are a lot of fun adventures on your way, truly interesting and unusual people becoming your friends, you see that she does not forget for a moment about the purpose of her journey. Therefore, when the stars begin to appear on the sky and both of you are left alone, you can't help but notice what a sad expression her face takes on when she peers into the night sky. Coming closer, you throw your jacket over her fragile shoulders so that she does not freeze, and offer your hugs. After thinking for a second, she moves closer, hiding her face on your chest. You slowly sort through the strands of her hair, giving her the opportunity to cry out, so after that she can continue her search again with confidence in her own abilities.
For quite a long time of your communication, you could not dare to hug her, because in your eyes Ningguang looked like such a luxurious, but inaccessible woman. However, that's exactly what attracted you to her: refined manners, elegance and at the same time cunning in negotiating, her imperious voice that sent goosebumps all over your body. And then one evening, when two of you were having dinner at the Glaze Pavilion once again, you heard beautiful music coming from the street. Deciding that this was the right moment, you invited her to a slow dance. To your surprise, the woman agreed. She put her hands on your shoulders, and you gently took her by the waist, starting to move smoothly. After a while, she puts her head on your shoulder, thanking you for your determination and sincerity, because she has been missing spontaneous moments in her life for so long.

Foolish Love
a/n: b4 u read this, this has no plot, I won't continue it, and lumine may or may not be canon. I have no idea. ok bye.
Princess Abbys Lumine x Reader
____
"My biggest mistake. It was loving you." You choked out, as Lumine, no no, Princess Lumine held you by your throat.
"Foolish girl, were you that dumb to think I would ever love you? You were but an asset to me." Lumine smiled, and oh gosh, she looked like an angel. Keyword: looked. Only an asset. You were only an asset to her.
Tears slipped down your cheeks, endlessly as Lumine kept on caressing your neck. You betrayed everyone, everyone, for her. All to get this in return. You betrayed the Knights of Favonius, your family, your friends, Aether. Just for this. For the love of your life to admit you were an asset. You could feel your heart breaking, piece by piece. The more Lumine talked about her 'grand plan', the sicker you felt. Why? Why must this happen to you? What have you done? What did you do to deserve this?
"I-I.." You hiccuped, "loved you. I loved you." You said, your words becoming wobbly. "I...loved you, y'know?" You smiled sadly, as tears kept on falling to the ground. Lumine laughed softly, "That was your mistake. I only want to find my brother, and thank you for making me come closer to my goal." She threw you to the ground and walked away.
She looked back and said, "I never loved you." Maybe it was just you, but you could see some tears in her eyes.

Mona
To say that you falling asleep in the middle of her astrology lessons was something that annoyed her would be a bit of an understatement. Sure, she knew not to hold it against you since you fell asleep constantly and always seemed to actually be really excited about them while you were awake but having to constantly fear that the person you had been talking to for the past few minutes had been passed out the entire time, wasn’t something Mona did feel all too thrilled about.
Mona and you had been laying on the hill outside of Mondstadt for quite a while now, with her pointing at different stars and telling you everything astrology related that came to her mind, but when her finger pointed at the star shining brightest, a stupid one-liner shot through her head, causing her to finally get silent. Normally you were the one saying stupid, flattering things all the time. Now that she thought about it, your urge to flatter her was almost as big as your urge to fall asleep at every somewhat appropriate moment, so your prolonged silence was evidence enough that you had probably fallen asleep once again, giving her the courage to say her stupid thought out loud without having to worry about your teasing.
“And this star shines as bright as my love for you”, the words hadn’t even left her mouth fully and she already found herself cringing at them, regretting ever having said them in the first place, making her sit up and try to think of something else to distract her from it. “Eugh, I can’t believe I just said that”, she said to herself, only to startle when she heard your voice.
“Why? I think it was kind of cute”, you said before also sitting up, causing the astrologer to stare at you with pure shock on her face.
“SHUT UP! Weren’t you asleep?”, she shouted, her face now completely red, making her try to hide behind her hat, only for you to laugh for a brief second, shutting up when she glared at you.
“What? Does me being silent automatically mean I fell asleep?”, you asked, your goofy smile not leaving your face for a moment, infuriating her even more.
“Usually”, she responded before hiding behind her hat again, only to hear you yawn and stand up.
“Hmm, you’re probably right, but your astrology lesson was too interesting to fall asleep”, you blatantly lied, things being interesting never stopped you from just falling asleep, nothing did. “But how about we head home? I might actually fall asleep here if we don’t”, you asked, the fact that you were still smiling being obvious by your tone alone.
“This never happened”, she stated while still pouting, only to quickly get up and walk home in front of you, earning no response besides a sarcastically agreeing hum from you.

Rosaria
With that sister from the church of Favonius running after her whenever she refused to participate at a voluntary church activity, Rosaria had enough problems with people disturbing her job. But luckily for her, your constant tiredness was as useful for her as it was worrying. You of course were curious as to what she was doing when she sneaked off somewhere and would question her about it. Most of the time she would either change subject or give you an answer that left more questions than it solved, but sometimes, when she was feeling nice and had a good day, you would actually get more telling responses.
Even though her reluctance to give you any satisfying answers to your questions made it clear enough that Rosaria wasn’t all too excited about the idea of you actually knowing what she was doing when she sneaked off in the middle of the night, curiosity still got the better of you and caused you to silently follow her each time, only for you to get so tired that simply leaning against a wall for a couple of seconds was enough for you to fall asleep.
You were following her again, the sound of an extra pair of feet was enough to make that obvious for Rosaria. No matter how sneaky you thought you were, she would notice your presence almost immediately. It wasn’t really your fault, but she wouldn’t have survived as long as she did if merely trying to walk silently was enough to go unnoticed for her.
For a brief second, she could feel herself getting annoyed by your insistence on finding out where she was heading, only for her to start her usual routine again. Walking in circles around your home until you inevitably fell asleep, then dragging your sleeping form back home always made her job much more time consuming, but if it meant that you wouldn’t fall unconscious in the middle of nowhere, then it was something she was willing to spend a bit of time on.
When the footsteps finally stopped, Rosaria continued her act for a few more seconds, only to then turn around and scoop your sleeping body up, quickly walking you back home, while letting out one sigh after another, trying her best to feel annoyed at you, something that proved much harder when your started snuggling against her. But once she finally reached home, she quickly tucks in into bed before vanishing once again, already catching herself thinking about what she was going to say about the “weird dream” you had, that you were inevitably going to tell her about tomorrow.

Lumine
Lumine’s travel group seemed to get weirder and weirder with every person joining it. First there was her, a traveller from a different world, a flying fairy that seemed to have a bottomless pit as a stomach and you, whose excitement about following her on her travels was only topped by your desire to take a nap whenever you got the chance to.
It didn’t matter when or where, once you decided to make camp for the day there were only 2 things that were guaranteed: Paimon impatiently helping to prepare something to eat and you falling asleep on whatever spot seemed most comfortable. It got to a point where both Lumine and her flying companion decided to bring a pillow with them whenever they went, only for you to rarely use it, instead resting your head on her shoulder.
It had been quite a while since Lumine had sent you to gather wood for the fire now, and while she had already finished building the tents, you were noticeably still absent. So, when she and Paimon decided to look for you, having a bit of a suspicion as to why you failed to come back, but being slightly worried nonetheless, they quickly spotted you sitting against a tree, with your arms still holding on to a lot of sticks and small pieces of wood. Paimon had already made her way up to you and was about to wake you up, when Lumine held her back, causing the fairy like companion to look at her with a look of confusion.
“We should wake them up, Paimon wants to eat, and we need to start the fire in order to make the food”, she stated in her high-pitched voice, causing your sleeping form to shift around a little, making the Traveller place her hand over Paimon’s mouth before starting to look around in her bag, pulling out the camera she got in Inazuma. Without wasting anymore time, Lumine quickly shot a picture of you before inspecting it with a small smile and putting it and the camera back into her bag.
“You are right, let’s wake them up now.”

✨ Coming home to Lumine ✨
CW: Male!Reader, Modern AU.
Tumblr media
You press down on the doorknob, and push the door open. You're a little surprised at that fact, since it's well past midnight. You see the light in the living room is still on. You close the door behind you. Suddenly the patter of bare feet on the wooden flooring. A familiar figure stands at the end of the hallway, dressed up in one of your t-shirts, far too big for her, and underwear - her usual pajamas.
"Hi Y/N!" Lumine smiles brightly and waves her hand. "How are you doing?"
You take off your shoes and hang your overcoat on the coat rack before making your way to her. You place a quick kiss on her lips.
"I'm tired. Long day, that's all." You give her a smile in return. Her golden eyes look at you softly. "Shouldn't you be asleep by now?"
She waves her hand dismissively, before pointing at the table. "Somebody has to take care of this handsome guy over here, right?"
You sit down. Your hand goes to your eyes to rub them, efficiently covering your small blush. You hear the sounds of plates moving and the microwave's ping. Before long, Lumine sits next to you, placing a bowl of Radish and Veggie soup in front of you.
"Hope you don't mind the microwave."
You grab the spoon and get to work. "How could I be anything but grateful?"
She rests her chin on her arm, propped up on the table. "Hey, I don't mind. Not at all."
You quickly eat the dish. Before you can get up and carry the bowl to the sink, Lumine snatches it. "How about you take a shower? I'll be waiting in bed."
"Thanks Lumi." You take a quick glance at her before you go, just in time to see her yawn.
"Uh oh, you're gonna eat me up!" You tease, and she chuckles.
"With how sweet you are? I wouldn't mind that at all…"
After a fifteen minute shower and a good teeth brushing, you dress up in your own sleep outfit. You get out of the bathroom and head to sleep. She's lying there, half asleep, but the lights are still on. Her eyes are closed, but she cracks one open to greet you.
"The door?" You put your folded day clothes in your drawer.
"Locked." She mumbles sleepily. "I wanna be small spoon. You're in?"
You click off the light and crawl under the covers. "Always."
She makes space for you, and you snake your arms around her. She settles in, her hand finding its way into yours. She curls her body slightly.
"G'night Y/N."
"Good night, Lumine."
By the time you kiss her hair, she's already asleep. You soon follow.

Tumblr media
Characters: Ayaka, Hu Tao, Shinobu, Eula, Lumine, Ganyu, Beidou, Shenhe, Thoma and Yae Miko.

Notes: Inspired on the song "A Glimpse Of Us" by Joji.
Tumblr media
Ayaka sees you in their eyes sometimes, often, always. She says she’s moved on from you, she tells herself she has, and if anyone were to ask her about you, her smile wouldn’t quiver like it used to. I’m alright, she’d say, and she really is. She’s found someone new, and they’re kind to her. She lets them brush their hands over her skin, press kisses to her lips and hold her colder hands close to them. And in every action of them, she sees you. It’s short-lived, barely a fleeting emotion, but it echoes loud inside her chest, shattering her perfectly-crafted illusion of herself. She sees you in their eyes when they smile, the corners wrinkling, almost like a memory, and she’s reminded of your warmth. She tries to feel it, she tries to find the butterflies when they caress her cheek, eyes soaked with affection, but she only finds the cold emptiness where your touch used to be. And she’s terrified she’ll miss you forever.
.
Hu Tao dreams about you, almost every night. Dreams of the way you would hold her face so close to hers, your long eyelashes tickling her skin. When she wakes up, someone that isn’t you beside her, she feels the throbbing emptiness inside. She’s a good liar, a great one even. I love you, she tells them, eyes sparkling. I love you too, they say, a bright smile drawn on their features, and a memory flashes through her eyes. You, the breeze in your hair, the summer sun drawing shapes on your skin. Hu Tao!, your voice calling her name, and her eyes glisten with tears. How silly of her to still be so full of you, even after you’re gone.
.
Shinobu has long since forgotten you. She has, really. Her day to day hasn’t changed that much after you left. She’s found someone new, and she’s learned to recognize the warmth of their skin, the edges of their body, the ring in their voice. Let’s go for a walk, they’d say, and Shinobu is frozen in place. Sometimes, she sees you in their eyes. The all too familiar comfort of your smile, the way you reached your hands out for her to hold, it all comes back to her like a torrent. It washes over her, the anger and the betrayal she feels at your memories. But most of all, how pathetic she is for remembering you like that. Free, glowing, warm. She hates you for leaving her, but she hates it even more knowing she’d hold you close to her if you ever came back, and this time she wouldn’t let you go.
.
Eula has someone perfect in her life. She never thought she’d get to say that, but they really are. Perfect. They’ve learned to read between her lines, their hands are soft and comforting on her colder ones, always quick to brush her hair behind her ear, to rub her back on the darker days, to spin her around in joy on the bright ones. Even so, she can’t bring herself to love them. Not when she still sees you in their eyes, gentle on hers. She sees you in the curve of their smile, in the way they call her name, in the way their body feels holding Eula from behind. She lets herself give in to quiet desire, lets herself close her eyes and imagine it’s you holding her, and her heart shatters just a bit more, knowing she will never have you this close again.
.
Lumine feels lonely, even when there’s someone else holding her, someone new. They’re a nice person, they make her laugh, eyes crinkling at the corners, and it’s genuine. She likes them. She likes the way they fumble over the words. How they struggle to hold chopsticks together. How they play with Lumine’s fingers when they’re in bed. Is everything okay, Lumine? Sometimes, Lumine stares at them longer than intended. She won’t say it out loud, won’t ever tell them, but she sees you in their eyes. She sees the way you struggled to find the words when you confessed to her. How you were so nervous when she invited you over dinner. How you wrapped your arms around her waist every night, your face tucked in the crook of her neck, her blonde hair tickling your nose. I love you so much, your voice was sleepy, your fingers playing with hers under the sheets, and Lumine knows she’ll never feel as complete as she felt that day. Not anymore. Not after you.
.
Ganyu feels herself slipping slowly. It’s been years, but she still finds you everywhere. She won’t voice this, of course. Especially not now that she’s found someone new, someone that accepts her as she is, and she quietly gives herself in to the feeling of being cherished like she hasn’t in a long time. If you saw her, walking with them hand in hand down the Harbor, the beautiful smile drawn on her lips, you wouldn’t know. If you asked her, her lilac eyes big and honest on yours, you wouldn’t know. I’m fine, she would say. I’ve moved on. And she tried. She really tried to fall for their touch, gentle on the curve of her lips, the back of her hand and all her edges. To fall for their voice, the gentleness when they call her name, soaked with affection, and Ganyu would beg, and beg, and beg her heart to fall for them. But in their eyes, she still finds you. And she can’t help to think of the way it was when you were still with her. Your gentle arms circling her waist, your sweet voice calling her name, pressing kisses to her hair with an affection far too deep for her to understand at the time. And her chest feels tight at the memory, at the thought of you. At the selfish part of her that says, Maybe one day you’ll feel lonely. That says, Maybe one day you’ll miss her too. That says, And maybe, one day, you’ll come back to love her like you used to.
.
Beidou drinks until everyone around her tastes like you. It’s not the same person every night. She lets them hold her, wrap their arms around her chest like you used to. Lose their fingers in her hair and whisper sweet nothings in her ear. It’s all the same to her, too familiar and foreign at the same time. Too shallow. But she lets them anyway, lets their empty praises fill the empty space in her chest that you left. Their temporary promises of love build sand castles in her raging ocean, and Beidou lets herself quietly drown with them. She thinks of you, she’s not too prideful to allow herself to wallow in your memory. And she thinks, Have you met someone new? She thinks, Was I just another part of your story? She thinks, A story that I’ll never be a part of again? How hollow of her, to say that she’s moved on from you, when all she ever does is pass the time in other people’s arms, lilac eyes closed, pretending that it’s your gentle hands on her, your smell tingling her nose, your lips pressed to her temple. Hoping to find a glimpse of you in these strangers.
.
Shenhe doesn’t feel anything when they hold her hand. She doesn’t feel a thing when they press their lips to her skin, gentle hands full of affection, the curve of their smile brightening the room, their eyes meant for Shenhe only. But when she looks at them, she feels numb inside. Empty, like a carcass without a purpose. She doesn’t remember a time where she didn’t feel like this. But she remembers you. You, and your silly dance after you got out of the shower. You, and the way you refused to wear socks to bed. You, and how it felt having your fingers in her silky hair, eyes fluttering closed to your touch. In their eyes, she sees you, and she can almost remember how she felt. Like being under the sun. Bright and warm, your hands brushing all her edges and her empty spaces, your kind voice thawing her frozen heart. She’s content with them, but with you? She was on top of the world.
.
Thoma holds their hands with ease, grabs them by the waist when they’re alone, kisses the spot right under their ear. Like it’s that easy. Like it always has been. He tells everyone they’re perfect together. He lets them draw shapes on his warm skin, turn his rain into rainbows. And everything is fine. But when he closes his eyes? He sees you. It’s pathetic, really. How easy it is for him to give in to you, even now. To pretend it’s you, his hands around their waist. You, his lips on their neck. You, you, you. In the curve of their smile, in the spark behind their eyes, in the endless words of love they whisper under the covers, each and all meant for him only. But when he opens his eyes, the spell is broken. Staring at the ceiling wide awake, night after night, he realizes how terrible of a person he really is. Pretending to love someone when all his heart craves is you.
.
Yae Miko moves on from you fast. Everybody is quick to praise her. You look so good, they say. You look so much happier, they say. You probably don’t think about them anymore. And they’re right. Miko lets their words wash away any thought of you, and she successfully manages to drown out the memories. She busies herself with work in the morning, and with strangers at night. Calling them strangers wouldn’t be fair, but then again, Miko doesn’t care enough. She basks in their affection, doesn’t bother remembering their names. Their hands all over her, fingers around her waist, her mouth covered in a taste that isn’t you. And she tries to memorize this feeling. This emptiness, dragging her heart down to her feet, every time she thinks of you. She wants to remember how you were when you left, her jagged heart bleeding, lilac eyes blurry and how you didn’t turn your back.
But sometimes, her brain plays a trick on her. And sometimes, when the sun is rising from the east and she’s too exhausted to fight it, she gives in to quiet desire, lets herself remind you as you were, not when you left but when you loved her. Your fingers brushing the shape of her temple, her cheekbone, the shape of her nose. She closes her eyes to the memory, and she sees you. Arms wrapped around her middle, giggling in bed like a kid with their first crush. Your lazy kisses pressed to the edge of her lips every morning. Miko, I bought this for you! You’d say. Miko, you look beautiful, you’d tell her. Miko, I love you, you’d confess. And Miko’s heart shatters like the very first day. It would be easier if you were out of sight for good. But she can’t escape you. Not when you live in her bones, in her shadows, in the shape of her smile and all her favorite places.

my headcanons for the travelers
aether
lumine used to do aether's hair. the last time lumine did his hair, she styled it in a braid. that's why he always keeps it in a braid.
aether loves to put his hands in your waist at any opportunity; while hugging you, while walking together with him and vice versa.
aether has very long eyelashes, you and lumine are very jealous of them.
lumine
lumine used to have long hair, she wanted to cut it to avoid it getting in her eyes but accidentally cut too much, she likes it better this way though.
lumine sometimes snorts like a pig when she laughs too hard.
lumine is the type of girl to swing your arms like a kid when you're holding hands.
