I'm doing a series of "Best Character Named X" polls where all the characters have the same first name but are from completely different media, feel free to send in name/charcacter suggestions, I'm posting one poll a day. New polls scheduled for 1:30PM BST everyday. Run by @femmehysteria

Summary: All Jude wants after losing a final is to be with his girlfriend, this leads to his teammates teasing him..

Requested: Yes, by anonymous: Hey! Can I request something for the legacy series, maybe Jude lost a a final and all he wants is Luna? Also by anonymous: Luna is there when Jude losses a final and she comes down on the pitch and comforts him? All the cameras are focused on them and Jude teammates tease them, thank you!! <3

“Look who’s here” Trent said as he nudged Jude. Jude looked over to the family stand and saw that his girlfriend had just arrived.

“Didn’t she literally just have a race?” Mason asked. “Yeah, in Vegas weren’t it?” Declan added. “Well she doesn’t drink so” Jude told them.

“Go over to her, we have awhile before he need to got back into the dressing room” Trent added as Jude made his way over to his family as that’s where Luna was.

Jude wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead. “Hey, I didn’t expect you to be here” Jude said. “Well, there’s not point in me being in Las Vegas so” Luna giggled.

“How’d the race go? I’m sorry I couldn’t watch it” Jude asked. “Me and Max are on level points, it’s all down the Abu Dhabi now. Don’t worry about it, you have an important game” Luna told him.

“Get me tickets?” Jude asked. “Of course I will, ask some of the boys if they wanna come as well” Luna added. “Will do” Jude replied.

“Can I come?” Jobe asked. “No, you can’t” Jude said as Luna slapped his arm slightly. “Jobe, don’t listen to him. You can come if you want to, you two as well if you want” Luna said looking as Jude’s parents.

“We will get back to you, if we are free or not” Denise told him. “This is why I like Lu, more than you!” Jobe told his brother. “Whatever” Jude mumbled.

“Does he have to come?” Jude whispered. “Oh stop being so mean to your brother” Luna told her as she and Jobe did a fist bump.

“Love you Lu” Jobe added. “Love you too bro” Luna said as the pair laughed at Jude’s face. “Oh, don’t be all pouty now” Luna added as she squeezed Jude’s cheeks.

“I’m going back to warm up now” Jude said as he kissed Luna and started to walk back on the pitch. “I love you!” Luna called. “Love you too!” Jude shouted.

The finally whistle went and the England fans went quiet, Luna looked over at Jude who was laying on the ground covering his face.

Luna sighed as she looked over at her boyfriend, he knew that he would be blaming himself even though he got a goal and did all he could.

Some of the England team had already walked over to the stand to greet their families. Jude was still on the ground not wanting to get up.

“Lu, go over to him you’re the only one that will be able to get him off the pitch” Trent told her as they hugged before Luna made her way over to her boyfriend.

Luna kneeled down next to him and Jude instantly wrapped his arms around her and buried his head in her neck. “You did all you could, love” Luna mumbled as kissed his cheek.

“There are a lot of things I could of done better, I missed a lot of good chances that would of made us win this” Jude said looking to the ground.

Luna put her two hands on his cheeks making him look at her. “J, you did all you could of done. You played amazing, you got the team back into the game with that goal you scored. Don’t let this final let you down, you’ll be in plenty more in the future” Luna told him.

“When did you learn to give advice like that?” Jude said with a smile. “My dad is Lewis Hamilton, I think that’s all you need to know” Luna giggled with Jude rolling his eyes.

“C’mon, go and get that medal and then we can get out of here” Luna added as she stood up and helping Jude up as well. Jude hugged her and they were about to kiss before being interrupted by some of his teammates.

“Aww, all little Jude needs was his girlfriend” Trent joked. “Young love at its finest” Mason laughed. “You feeling better now, Jude?” Jadon teased.

“Leave me alone, man” Jude mumbled and buried his head in Luna’s neck. “C’mon boys, let’s leave the love birds” Trent said as they left the couple.

“They are so annoying” Jude added. “But they are your teammates” Luna replied as they kissed but they heard in a distance of Jude’s teammates teasing them once again.

Music blares through the speakers as you pour your signature cocktails into the glasses lined up on the kitchen counter. With the start of the weekend, Ruhn’s house was once again filled with nearly half the population of Lunathion, sweaty bodies crammed into the small living room while an amalgamation of fae, angels, and shifters drank and danced.

Beyond the kitchen archway, you spot your boyfriend playing a game of beer pong. The opposing team was composed of Bryce and Hunt and from what you could glean, they were absolutely wiping the floor with Ruhn and Ithan. The latter didn’t seem to mind, laughing as Bryce sank a ball into one of his cups.

The wolf merely shrugs and tilts the red cup into his mouth, downing the liquor in one swift move. The action causes the liquid to trickle down his chin, soaking the front of his CCU sweatshirt. The hem of his shirt rides up as he dabs at his mouth and you can’t help but ogle the expanse of tanned, defined abs rippling underneath. His early departure from sunball certainly took nothing away from your boyfriend's lean and athletic frame. As if sensing your gaze, his soft brown eyes land on you and he grins in that handsome, boyish way that you loved so much as he raises the cup in your direction.

Color blooms high upon your cheeks as you bite back a smile. It was nice to see Ithan enjoying himself for once. After Connor’s death, you hadn’t seen your boyfriend let loose for nearly two years and understandably so. While you knew he’d never stop grieving the loss of his older brother, you were glad to see that he was beginning to take small steps towards healing. It was what Connor would have wanted.

With a soft smile, you maneuver through the crowded space and hand Dec a glass. He’s sitting on the couch typing away on his laptop, hacking into Luna knew what as Tharion cheers him on. The redheaded mer shoots you a wink of gratitude as you supply him with another drink. He nods behind you before you feel an arm around your shoulder, nearly knocking the tray of drinks out of your hands.

“Oops,” Flynn says, eyes glazed and words slurring as he attempts to steady himself.

You sigh exasperatedly, yanking his arm to keep him upright before swatting him on the back of the head. “You nearly knocked me over. How much have you had to drink, Flynn?”

“Not a lot,” the High Fae lord says with a sheepish smile. “Four or five. Or was it eight? I can’t remember.”

“Cthona spare me,” you mutter under your breath. “Will you two keep an eye on him before he does something extremely idiotic?” Declan and Tharion nod in agreement, clearly amused at your tendency to mother the rowdy residents of this home.

“And you,” you say, directing your gaze back to the rowdiest male of them all. Flynn tries to grab a cocktail from the tray, but you bat his hand away, earning you a childish pout. “No more drinks until you can stand straight again.”

Flynn groans. “Yes, mom.”

You roll your eyes fondly before squeezing past the idle crowd. The beer pong table was within view until a High Fae male steps into your direct path.

From across the room, Ithan peels his attention away from the game at hand to survey the crowd. One minute you were standing by the couch with his friends and the next he couldn’t quite spot you amidst the throng of fae milling about.

The wolf surveys the living room, his heart beating a little faster and his senses going into overdrive as he drags his gaze through the dimly lit space. Though he knew you were perfectly capable of handling yourself, Ithan always made sure to keep you within his line of sight. As his mate, your presence awakened his instinct to protect and he was always on high alert when it came to your safety. He took a deep breath, inhaling the familiar fragrance of rain and jasmine. Ithan follows the trail of your signature scent and spots you by the television, balancing a tray of cocktails in your hand and slightly frowning at the Fae male standing before you.

Ithan couldn’t help it. He was already striding through the room before he could comprehend what he was doing. The wolf ignores Ruhn, Bryce, and Hunt’s protests as he marches straight for you. As soon as you spot your boyfriend, relief floods your expression. The Vanir male in front of you has held you up longer than you wished, but he was harmless. A little overexcited, sure. But he wasn’t anything you couldn’t handle. If he was stupid enough to try anything, you would've sank his claws into him faster than the blink of an eye.

Still, you didn’t mind the possessive arm that snakes around your waist as your boyfriend sidles up beside you.

“There you are,” Ithan states softly, pressing a kiss to your cheek. There was no missing the cold, calculated glare he fixes upon the Vanir male standing before you.

“You’re Ithan Holstrom, right?” the male greets in recognition. “You played sunball for CCU.”

Your boyfriend nods and you note the tic in his jaw despite his otherwise neutral expression. Sunball was a sensitive topic for Ithan, but he remains composed as he smoothly responds. “The one and only.”

“We used to watch you in the Aux all the time. We always rooted for CCU and its star player.”

“Thank you,” Ithan responds. His brown eyes sharpen as he surveys the male. “How do you know my mate?”

Mate.

The word seems to sober the Vanir male and color drains from his face when he realizes who he’d unknowingly tried to flirt with. Ithan Holmstrom’s mate. The term had a different definition for the Fae, but it was just as binding for the wolves. In other words, approaching someone else’s mate was entirely off limits. A flash of panic flares through the male's sharp features as he stammers.

“I - I didn’t realize you were together.”

Ithan smirks and his canines protrude from his mouth, letting a little bit of the wolf show as the Vanir male swallows thickly. “Now you do.”

And gods spare you, the sight of a jealous, possessive Ithan going pure alphahole to use Bryce’s term, was undoubtedly the hottest thing you’ve ever witnessed. It was so out of character from the sweet and reserved mate you knew that you couldn’t help but wonder at the utter change in Ithan. Perhaps it was wrong, but you liked knowing that you brought out this side of him.

At Ithan’s clear dismissal, the Vanir male saunters off with a dejected expression. You chuckle as your mate turns to look at you.

“Was it really necessary to go all alphahole on the male?”

The corner of Ithan’s mouth curls upward at the term. “I have no idea what you’re talking about, babe.”

He takes the tray of drinks from your hands and intertwines your fingers, leading you back to the beer pong game he’d abandoned. “Honestly, you’re no better than Ruhn or Hunt.”

“Hey!” Ruhn says in protest, “How’d I get dragged into this?”

Bryce snorts, draping an arm over your shoulder and kissing your cheek in greeting. “She’s not wrong. Maybe Ithan caught the alphahole disease from living with you idiots.”

Hunt starts to laugh, but your friend cuts him off. “I wouldn’t be laughing, Athalar. If Ruhn’s president of the possessive asshole club, then you’re certainly his vice president.”

The Umbra Mortis rolls his eyes as Dec, Flynn, and Tharion crowds around you. The redhaired mer sidles up to your other side, linking his arm with Bryce’s as they sandwiched you in between them. “Can’t blame that male for trying though. If you weren’t our little wolf’s mate, I’d certainly shoot my shot.”

Ithan growls, falling right into Tharion’s bait. You roll your eyes as your mate sets the tray of drinks down and pulls you to his side.

“That’s not exactly a compliment, given that you flirt with anything with a pulse, T.”

Tharion dramatically places a hand over his heart. “You wound me, she wolf.” He grins mischievously. “Now if only I had someone to help lick my wounds.”

“Say that again and I’ll stick you in a septic tank myself,” you reply sweetly.

Ithan snorts before tugging at your hand. “Come on, babe. I’ve got something to show you upstairs.”

“News flash, it’s his dick,” Flynn deadpans.

Your mate rolls his eyes in response as you flip Flynn off behind your shoulder. The rest of the gang laughs, but you pay it no mind as you practically sprint up the stairs and into Ithan’s room. As soon as the door closes, Ithan presses you up against the wall and kisses the sensitive spot just below your ear.

A breathy laugh escapes from your mouth as you run your fingers through his silky brown hair. “I guess Flynn was right, after all.”

Ithan smirks in response. “Please, I could smell your arousal downstairs. Like it or not, my alphahole behavior turns you on.”

“Getting cocky, aren’t we?” you say with a teasing smile. “I think I might need more of a demonstration.”

Without warning, Ithan hoists you up in the air and effortlessly locks your legs around his waist. His lips find yours in the darkness and the kiss is dominating, possessive, like he was staking his claim on you with his mouth.

“I’ve got all night, baby.”

Find the Word tag game!

I'm taking an open tag from @theroseempress!

My words are: lock, rain, growl, and slight. I'm drawing from School of Souls.

I'm not tagging anyone because my brain doesn't work.

Lock

I pulled my cellphone off of its charger. No signal, of course. But I didn’t need a signal for what I’d downloaded before coming up here.

I popped earbuds in and turned on my music app. Soulful music poured into my ears. Indie stuff that was a bit folk, a bit pop. But it didn’t make me sleepy at all. I was exhausted and wide-awake.

On my phone, in the middle of the gallery, I found my last picture of Dad. He smiled from a hospital bed, his hair and beard a shade darker than my strawberry blonde locks. We had the same blue eyes and oval faces, but I had Mom’s nose. I zoomed in on his face; I didn’t want to see the tubes that came out of his chest and off his arms.

They’d taken the tubes out for the funeral. Dad had gone into the ground in his favorite clothes: a blue polo shirt and skinny jeans, with sneakers he’d never gotten a chance to wear to the gym. His casket had been hardwood, decorated with music notes, and all the students who’d taken vocal lessons with him attended to cry over his grave.

Tears seeped down my face. They tasted like the ocean.

“I’m turning off the lights now,” Declan said. “Put your phone away.”

I didn’t. I stared at my dad and felt my heart break the way it always did.

His footsteps padded towards me. “Hey! Go to sleep. We’re getting up early, and—” He halted. “What’s wrong? Juniper? Hey, Juniper.” His voice grew very gentle, but I didn’t look away from Dad’s face.

The bed shifted as he sat down by my feet. “What happened?” he said.

“My dad died,” I whispered, as if it wouldn’t be true if I just were quiet enough.

“Just now? How’d you get a signal?”

I shook my head and squeezed my eyes shut. “Eleven months ago.”

“Oh. And you’re not over it yet?”

I sniffled. How could I get over it? Dad and I had been tight. He’d practically raised me single-handedly, looking after me while Mom worked her big shot lawyer job. I’d crawled underfoot while he taught his music students in our living room. I’d sung along with his piano when I was a little older. He’d taught me to cook, wearing his Kiss the Cook apron, and when I went vegetarian, he spent a month looking up new recipes and never complained, even though he loved cooking steaks and roasts and chops. He was a good dad. The best dad.

I said it aloud, my voice watery, and Declan nodded. “My dad died, too, a long time ago. There was this big smallpox outbreak. He caught it from a neighbor, and they both died. I was the man of the family after that.”

I stared at him. “Smallpox is extinct. Eradicated.”

Declan faltered. “Right. Vaccines. But this was before that.”

“Smallpox hasn’t been around in the US since 1949. I know. I learned about it in middle school. We did a project on vaccination.”

“Oh, nevermind,” Declan said, waving that away. “The point is, I understand what you’re going through. What disease got your dad? Consumption?”

I stared at him. “You mean tuberculosis? This isn’t the eighteen hundreds. They just put people on antibiotics for that now.”

He huffed. “All right, smarty-pants. How’d your dad die, then?”

Rain

Sure enough, something had mangled the bear’s right front paw, and it curled it close to its chest as it watched us quietly.

I hate to see animals in pain. Before my dad died, the worst experience I ever had was watching my childhood dog, Pepper, decline and wither and die. I turned to Luna and asked, “You can heal him, can’t you? That’s what heal-transformers do.”

Luna smirked at me. “Of course I can. Watch this.” She spread her arms, gazing straight at the bear. “Je cause division cellulaire.”

The swollen red wound on the bear’s paw closed and turned pale. Then black fur erupted from the perfect, undamaged skin, and in moments the paw looked no different from the other. The bear examined it and carefully put its weight on the healed limb. It held.

“That’s so wonderful,” Valentina breathed.

It was. It was everything I’d dreamed of when Declan told me I could learn magic. I felt fantastic, like I’d just witnessed a new puppy be born. “How does it work?” I asked Luna, hungry for more information. Anything that would turn me into a miracle worker who could save people like Dad.

Luna preened and said, “I just triggered the right cells to undergo mitosis. But be careful. You have to know which cells you want it to work on, and know what the anatomy of the animal should be. Otherwise, you’ll just give it cancer.”

My plans to memorize the spell and use it myself screeched to a halt. “That happens if you mess up magic?”

“If you don’t know enough, yeah,” Luna said. “That’s why you have to study biology for a few years before trying spells.” She smiled at me, looking angelic enough that I expected a halo to spring up around her head. “Armando, do you have control of its mind?”

The boy said something in another language I didn’t recognize. “There. I activated sleep paralysis. Do your worst.”

“My best,” Luna purred. “Watch this.” And she waved towards the bear. “Tu te transformas en baudroie à bosse.”

For a moment, nothing happened. Then the bear’s face flattened, and its fur fell out, replaced by slimy brown skin. Its mouth gaped huge and wide, growing needle-like teeth, and its nose turned to two little holes in its face. A little protrusion grew out of its forehead. It screamed and tried to thrash, but Armondo had frozen it in place. It moved less than an inch from side to side.

I felt like throwing up. “Stop it! Leave it alone! Turn it back!”

“Turn it back?” Luna asked. “Do you know how much knowledge I had to gain to do this? I had to learn all about bears and fish, and there isn’t even that much information about Melanocetus johnsonii.”

“Just stop!” I screamed at her. Tears beaded up in my eyes. The bear was growing smaller, its legs deforming. And it was roaring in pain.

“That’s probably a good place to stop, Luna,” Declan said. “If you change it too much, it’ll suffocate. And then it won’t be any good for practice.”

Luna sighed. “Fine. Arrête!”

The bear’s transformation stopped, but there wasn’t much of a bear left. It still had legs and a stocky, powerful body, but it was an awful fish-creature, and its tiny beady eyes regarded us with hate.

Luna smiled and said, “Send it away, Armondo. And then we’d better head back in time for class.”

It began to rain, and my tears mixed with water from the sky.

Growl

Half an hour later, I put down my Spanish dictionary and said, “I've got it. I think.”

“Show me,” she demanded. The zolpidem had worked its powers on me, and souls curled around the edges of her body, visible as a flicker here and there. Like shadows cast from far away.

The problem with zolpidem—one of many—is that it lessens my inhibitions, sometimes when I need them most. I wadded up my paper and tossed it at her. It smacked her in the chest, and she growled, “Girl,” at me like it was a warning. But she flattened the paper and examined my work.

Slight

I monitored my body as we waited. When the zolpidem took effect, I relaxed slightly, and the world took on a drowsy edge. But it was so much less than taking a whole pill. Or four of them. I worried it wouldn’t be enough to make the ghosts visible right until the first one drifted through the closed door and straight into the room.

I rose from my seat and turned to face the new arrivals. My ghost, the girl with the skinny neck and flapper dress, floated straight up to me and examined me with ice-blue eyes.

I looked her straight in the face and asked her, “Who are you? Why are you here, following me?”

The ghost’s eyes widened. She pointed at her chest, a disbelieving expression on her transparent face.

“Yes, you. I can see you. And feel you when you sit in my chair.”

The ghost looked amazed. She flitted about me, examining me from every angle.

“Who are you?” I repeated. “Tell me.”

She faltered in the air. And then she said, in a breathy voice that seemed to come from light-years away, “I’m Opal. Opal Patton.”

Summary: Luna gets in a bad crash, Jude isn’t there and starts to fear for the worst..

Requested: Yes, by anonymous: Luna get into the a bad crash while Jude is watching with the England squad and he gets worried as he isn’t there in the paddock. Also, by anonymous: Hey! Can you do one where Luna gets into a pretty bad crash and Jude gets all worried as he’s watching as he isn’t at the track, Lewis eventually calls him to tell him that you will be alright x

“You going to watch the Grand Prix today, bro?” Trent asked as they were walking back inside after training. “Is that even a question?” Jude replied. “I’ll be there too!” Reece said.

“What you guys going to watch?” Marcus asked. “The Italian Grand Prix” Trent told him. “Awh, Jude is supporting his girlfriend” Jadon teased. “Shut up man” Jude mumbled.

“Where is she starting?” Declan asked as most of the boys were in the chill out room now. “P2, Lewis in front and Max behind” Jude added as they all their eyes to the TV.

“Luna, P2 start today. Hoping to keep that position or maybe even go for the win?”

“I’m hoping too, need to beat my dad but hopefully. But you know, starting front row is always amazing so just want to keep that position or maybe go for the win”

“Thank you Lu, good luck today!”

“Thank you!”

“Have you met Lewis?” Trent asked. “Yeah, multiple times” Jude replied. “Bro, imagining have Lewis Hamilton as a father in law” Mason added.

“Jude doesn’t have to imagine it” Marcus said. “That’s crazy, don’t break her heart or you will be dead within seconds” Jesse added.

“All the drivers to be after you” Bukayo said. “I already know, they all gave me a talk when I went to a race not long ago” Jude told them as the race had started.

“—Oh oh, that’s an awful crash there, Luna Hamilton is still in that car that is upside down..”

“It’s obvious a red flag but my gosh, that was awful to watch. She couldn’t go anywhere, she was pushed and her car flipped over a few times and still flipped over now..”

“We will tell you information when we get it, let’s just all pray that Luna is okay”

LH44: “Please, tell me that she is alright..”

GR63: “Is she okay?!”

CL16: “That’s a big one guys, is she okay?”

MV1: “That was Lu, right? Is she alright?!”

LN4: “Please tell me she’s okay..”

SV5: “Is Lu okay?!”

“All the drivers are desperate to know if Luna is alright as all the radio messages come in, I wouldn't be able to describe to you how Lewis is feeling after seeing his daughter crash like that.."

Cameras panned onto Lewis who has his face his hands, a lot of the Mercedes team was trying to comfort him.

Lewis pushed passed the cameras and made his way to the Mclaren garage. The team gave him a faint smiles and patted his shoulders. “Any information?” Lewis asked.

“Her radio was damage, can’t get anything out of her” His daughter’s race engineer said as Lewis kept looking at the screens.

Soon enough everyone was back in the pit lane and hoping that they would get information on Luna soon. All the boys thought her as a younger sister, they couldn’t lose her like this…

Lewis couldn’t lose his daughter like this either..

The cheers from the crowd made all the boys look up to the screens, Luna was out of the car and hopping on one leg over to the ambulance.

Luna gave the camera a thumbs up before the ambulance doors were closed behind her. Lewis let out a sigh of relief as quite of a lot of the drivers came over and hugged him.

“Luna giving a camera a thumbs up there, I think all of us can breathe now knowing that she is okay. A lot of the drivers there, coming over to hug Lewis…how he has stayed this calm watching his daughter crash I won’t know”

“We give you the best of recovery Luna, we will hopefully see you back in the car soon. For now, we are all just so glad you are okay!”

All the boys were shocked when they seen the crash, Jude was just staring at the TV hoping that he was see his girlfriend out of the car, but he hasn’t seen anything yet.

“She will be alright” Trent said. “How do you know that, man?!” Jude exclaimed as he walked out of the room. “I’ll go and check on him” Reece added as he left to follow Jude.

“I can’t imagine how Lewis must be feeling” Marcus said. “He’s has to get back in the car after his daughter crashed like that..” Mason added.

“How anyone of them can get back in the car after crashes like these happen I won’t know” Declan said. “They may cancel the race” Bukayo added.

After some time Jude and Reece came back into the room. Just in time, as on the screen Luna was out of the car and hopping her way to the ambulance.

She gave the camera a thumbs up before the doors or the ambulance closed. “Thank God..” Jude mumbled with a faint smile on his face.

“You can breathe now, she’s okay” Trent added as he gave the younger boy a squeeze on his shoulder. “Lewis is getting back in the car, after that?” Jadon asked.

“Lu would kill him, knowing she was the reason he didn’t continue the race. Lewis will win this for her, I’m telling you know” Jude said. “I’m sure he will, then he will most likely phone you when he gets any more information on Lu” Marcus added.

lewishamilton: Today just shows all the dangers that come within the sport, knowing you have to you get back into the car after a crash like that happened. For me to get back in that car, knowing that it was daughter that crashed hit me was an unforgettable feeling. I didn’t want to go back out and race, but I knew that Lu would of killed me if I didn’t. That win was for her today. As a parent, you always want to know that your children are okay and safe. I didn’t know that today and it was a feeling I can’t explain..

An update on Lu, she is doing great and thanks everyone for all the kind and supporting messages she has received. She needs to stay in the hospital over night but should be out tomorrow. The only damage is that she has broken her leg, meaning she will be out for a few races but she will be back better than ever. We are going to take so time off social media, but thank you again for all the messages. See you all soon❤️🙏🏾

“I know, but still you scared me so much. I felt helpless as I couldn’t do anything” Jude added. “Oh, J. I don’t need to feel like that, I’m here ain’t I?” Luna replied.

“I know, go to sleep now and relax” Jude added. “I will, dad will text you in the morning. I love you, J” Luna said. “Okay, love you too Lu” Jude added.
