Sora~

His outfit is inspired by one of the Super Groupies looks.

He's basically done! I just need to put his pendant on an actual chain (it's on string lol that's all i had on hand). And now my whole spiel about this:

Tldr; i changed my 15 year old bory OC doll to Sora because i didn't do much with him but didn't want to sell.

I had been contemplating what to do with my Bory, who was my first doll. I had two characters in mind: Sora and Seiji Date. On insta i made a poll just for opinions and Seiji won. Since i was still on the fence i tried wigs. As it turned out.. all shades of blonde looked awful on him! So Seiji was out. I realized it was because he was rather yellow and i hadn't noticed it. It makes sense tho. He is 15 years old and while he wasn't a banana by any stretch, it was more than i thought. So i took the plunge and dyed him to match closer to Sora's skin tone and here we are. I love how he turned out, and i think he'll get some more attention now. I tried to style his hair a bit like the kh4 promo. Not sure if i succeeded but 🤷‍♀️ boy has messy, spiky hair. It's a weird do, and honestly it looks fine no matter what i do. Also, i'm so happy i found a use for these eyes. They're super pretty but didn't fit in the intended head, so i've had them lying around a while.

Elena is a Luts Muse Bory in real skin brown, and she has a company faceup. August is an Aimerai Akagi (the first one ever made - he was literally the display doll!) and he’s in white skin with a company faceup as well.

okay, back in town and I finally have some comparison pics of the luts bronco resin. I will say that it looks darker in person, but I couldn't make it look accurate in the photos.

first we have bronco vs old normal from 2013, then bronco vs rosy brown. third pic is all three together, plus you can see the centaur brown. that third one gives the best idea of where the bronco falls in the shade scale, but even the rosy brown looks lighter in it, so take it with a small grain of salt.

I got another cheapo doll-skeleton at Goodwill. Because her face felt unusual, kinda reminded me of other dolls, and I liked her tiny pointy chin.

Wiped the spooky paint off. It was weird and made loud crackly sounds, I thought I was crackling the head pushing too hard or something. But it was the paint, which came off in big crunchy pieces.

Then I shaved down the casting lines on her cheeks a little bit just as a pastime while I was waiting for drugs to kick in so I could sleep. So not a real attempt at making this sloppy surface bjd-level or anything.

More like just entertaining myself seeing what I could poke my nose into.

Anyway doesn't she look unusual for a Halloween prop? Reminds me of Miss No Name, Luts Kid Delf Bory, and Toffee dolls all at once.

Yes i did! I have wanted to get into BJD's since... What? 2011?? It was one of the main things i posted on this blog in the early days.. goodness knows i spent Hours on DA looking through photo galleries..... (9T^T)9

My absolute Dream doll is a Luts Delf Bori (I think that's what it was called? I know it was Luts and i know it was the Bori, but i feel like the Delf's were the bigger sizes..) he's the sweetest saddest boy.. i haven't checked in y e a r s so idk if they even make em anymore..

One day I hope to have the money to start collecting, get a good camera, do photoshoots... Write fun stories about them...

Hello!

Today I would like to share some photos of Tetsu's make-up removal process (in the end I sinned and named him... You know what that means). He's my practice head and he's a Luts Kid Delf Bory Sleeping Head purchased on DoA's marketplace. I got him as I las looking for a MSD body for V (his head is still at mum's).

For a long time I have wanted to go back to doing BJD faceups, but with a micro business and with a little keeping be busy all day it has been completely impossible for me. Hopefully I can shake off my rustiness this summer.

a quick comparison between my two luts centaurs: kdf centaur bory from 2013, and kdf45 centaur yul from 2023. yul is so much taller! and his hooves are bigger, too. if Arion is like, a regular horse, then yul is a draft breed.

Henri! I'm debating changing his wig to one that's more of a sandy brown, but I'm not sure which would stand out more among the other Innocents dolls. Still, he's the cutest thing ever, and I can't believe how accurate of a style his wig is.
