I just saw your post about how you regret starting the censored version first and honestly, same

When this happened to me I focused A LOT on the Erolabs version to a point where I left the other version unattended, and in like a month or two I was able to catch up with the progress that I had on my other account.

At first I thought that catching up was too much, but it isn’t, it’s waaaay easier.

For cards I relied a lot on the pancakes, they are lifesavers for gaining both keys and Solomon tears, and another thing that helps a lot is the affinity rewards and the mission pass.

For the pancakes you just have to constantly save them and at the beginning prioritize buying lesser keys and using them, and by that you’re going to get to a point where you’re going to recover the inversion.

Saving up gems also helps for replenishing energy so you can skip a lot of battles, and if necessary, to buy lesser keys.

It’s a bit tedious at the beginning, but believe me, leveling up in the game it’s faster that it seems, for example, in my App Store account I was at lv 28, and when I began to focus on my Erolabs account I was at lv 7 and it’s been 2 months and I’m at lv 36 in that same account.

When I finally catched up with my old progress I uninstalled the censored version, and if you want to do the same make sure you link your account or save your progress so you won’t permanently lose Bath Levi and Gabriel !

Hope this helped ! I know it’s frustrating but if you need motivation to start doing this, remember that’s there’s THAT Lucifer card coming sometime this year and we’re only getting it in Erolabs.

Ahhh hi pinkgy ^^ thank you for the tips, I will try my best to make this transition to Erolabs a lot easier on myself because man oh man is it taking a lot on me to manage both of them at one time. I wonder if I just should clear out my entire materials and resources on the appstore version once Luci releases because I have so many damn red keys and I know they won't have any uncensored stuff for the selfie cards (unless they do for Lucifer only) also, have a beautiful evening and week <3

She seems to be the one who resolves any conflict among her friends, using her words to make sure things don’t come to blows, but she’s not afraid to use her aforementioned intimidating presence to solve problems as well! Seducing them to make them docile also doesn’t seem to be off the table…

A hero using her own body as a shield for the innocent! …Of course, Humans don’t have horns and tails, and Paladins don’t smell of sulfur, yet she wants me to believe that’s what she is? I’m not that naïve. I would not recommend bringing it up to her, though. She crushed a mug with her bare hand when I did, and she likes me!

Now this is a tricky one to keep track of! She’s a cat as often as she is an Elf, and a bear twice as often as that! When I asked her about her name, she said that she changed her name when she changed her real body’s look, and I guess if you can change your body as easily as you can change your name, why wouldn’t you? I would give myself extra arms to clean better… She’s a good guest, very mellow and good spirited, and would be a pleasure to be around if it weren’t for her… well, smell. It’s funny, of all the animals I’ve seen her turn into, a skunk is not one of them, but I always smell one when she’s around…

So, I think she used to be called ‘Punch Drunk Murphy’, being that fighting drunk was her whole thing, but the ‘a’ got added when she developed a, well, paunch from all her drinking. Not much has changed there, though now she relies on throwing her weight around rather than using any strength, and nobody can hit her because she wobbles around so much. She’s… boisterous, let’s say. And very fond of her drink, obviously. I’d prefer it if she were less rowdy, but she’s not technically breaking any rules, so I can’t really do anything about it… Hard to believe she’s technically the oldest of her party. And a mother!

It makes no difference to her. That kind of raw, self serving ambition never leads anywhere good. And everywhere she goes, an aura of death hangs over her… I swear I smell rot on her as well…

That has to be it; I can’t think of a rational explanation for half the thing she does. One minute she’s cleaning her clothes, the next she’s setting them on fire. One minute she’s beating someone within an inch of their life, the next she’s kissing them (although that seems to be the common theme for this bunch). One minute, there’s light and life in her eyes, the next… someone else is in there…

And I’m especially impressed she hasn’t been claimed by the Forest. I just wish she wouldn’t ‘forage’ in my garden. At least she shares the meat from her hunting, but I bet it’s only because she thinks I’m a better cook than her…

𝐈 𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃! 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐨, “҉T҉r҉a҉n҉s҉c҉e҉n҉d҉“҉

I first made this set as a test run for the Listening Party events I wanted to do at UIC’s School of Design. With the intention to play it right after students got out of class, I chose to begin with “in god’s childlike hands” by Lauren Auder. Which I first heard play in Virgil Abloh’s last show for LV. This song builds up perfectly, the instruments slowly building up, mimicking an almost alien like forest coming into view, (reminds me of Bjork’s Utopia), I found it fitting that the ‘siren’ that starts around the 2:30 mark almost resembles a police siren, seeing how UIC is in the city.

The next three songs, are a part of what I like to call a ‘run’, where I let the songs play without introduction. “Hyperballad” by Bjork, “Cicada,” by Sega Bodega, and “How Does It Feel,” by Pharrel Williams. These three songs have very similar beats, where it almost sounds as if its reverbing in on itself. (In my head I picture it as the sound bounces off the walls of a narrow hallway.) They transition into each other pretty well despite the difference in genre and overall sounds.

Originally White Willow Bark” by MF DOOM was meant to be an interlude to allow me to explain the set’s overall theme, I did in fact forget when it came to the actual show. However, this interlude does serve to help cut into a different sound. While choosing the music for the set, I kept in mind, what “transcend” meant to me in terms of music. It could mean synths, psychadelia, techno, jazz, hypnotic or grandiose. Listening to “Windowlicker”, specifically A.G Cook’s cover I was immediately impressed at the level of complexity its made with. (Hypnotic techno, smells like sangria). I knew I had to incorporate it somehow. From 4:50, the song is so chaotic its amazing how it doesn’t get muddy, A.G Cook is. a. genius.

The next run in this set is quiet long, “home with you,” by FKA Twigs, “Love’s the Only Way,” by Cage The Elephant, and “Journey into Satchidanada,” by Alice Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders. The perfect example of the beauty that is the Spotify Crossfade. There is no way I would have ever come across this if it hadn’t been for my friend’s suggestion of Cage The Elephant, it was almost by mere coincidence that the two were together in the early draft of the set. “home with you” has these beautiful flutes playing at the end that call back to “in god’s child like hands”. The way it ends, and transitions to “Love’s the Only Way” almost makes it sound as if it were the same song for a moment. If it hadn’t been for the collaboration between Online Ceramics and Alice Coltrane I would have never been introduced to the world of psychedelic jazz that she had created. Her music is incredibly immersive and has a world-building quality to it.

The final run, is made up of “Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds,” by The Beatles, “For Sale?,” by Kendrick Lamar, and “Frosti,” by Bjork (again, yes). Transitioning from Alice Coltrane into The Beatles seemed incredibly fitting, both songs are gorgeous examples of immersive psychadelia, (and both have long titles, jeez). I remember sitting in my 7th grade health class and hearing “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” for the first time, reading the lyrics, and having a discussion on LSD right after and its effects. I don’t remember much of the discussion, I do however remember going home and listening to the song over and over again. “For Sale,” being placed right after “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” the groovy synths and the reverb in the song, along with the references of Lucy over and over, it sounds as if Kendrick is talking about the same Lucy The Beatles sing about. The chime that plays at the end perfectly transitions into the music box that plays in “Frosti,” which comes from Bjork’s album “Vespertine,” which serves as an interlude. Two interludes placed right after the other, who would have thought they would work so well.

The final two songs, I feel, serve as a conclusion, restating the sonic themes from the set. “Bliss,” by Yung Lean and FKA Twigs, (yep, again) and “Falaise,” by Floating Points. With the repeating guitar, the chime, layered with Twigs’s ethereal vocals, along with the lyrics “and I’m seeing sounds.” “Bliss” was the perfect song to close the show. However, there was still time left for me to play one more song. I discovered “Falaise,” on a random spotify playlist one day. It became one of my favorite songs. (It wasn’t until later I would learn the Virgil also used this song in his FW 22 show in Bangkok.) With its hypnotic rhythms, filled with flutes resembling Auder’s “in god’s childlike hands,” the song ends the set with a grandiose transcendental finale.

I think CL James and his flaws are a credit to your characterization. I think we're seeing a fair depiction of what canon James could be if he didn't have Lily around as a foil to inspire some self-reflection and growth and a looming war that would force him to mature. Likewise, he didn't have a kid at 19 and his doting parents are alive and well. I think all of these things shaped canon James into the man that puts himself between his family and Voldemort despite not having a wand. But without those things in CL, he's still arrogant and kind of full of himself. He maintains his selflessness towards the people he cares about, but he's otherwise fairly self-absorbed (and aren't we all?). I'd love to hear thoughts on how you developed him if you'd be interested in sharing.

(But, like also, if I dislike James for using Lucy to get over Lily...then do I also dislike Lily for using Doc to get over James? 😟)

(Also, I still love Daphne. How can I not? She is the only one that is being direct with James about his feelings towards Lily and the only one that he feels comfortable speaking to honestly about it.)

I think you've really nailed it here. I've tried to keep the basics of James' character intact, but I did go through that exercise where I said: okay, what would a world look like that could lead to player James? I concluded fairly quickly that this could come from this type scenario: no LV, no pending war, no Lily in his formative years, skilled enough to be a professional athlete, and with his stable parents still around.

He wouldn't have the same types of responsibilities and he could still remain loyal while being self-absorbed and focused on his career. Ultimately though I think (and try to show) that the Canon James is under there. That this James would still stand up and do those things if the world demanded it of him now.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Lily or James went into relationships to "use" Doc or Lucy. Rather Lily did so in good faith because a handsome guy was interested in her. James is a little more gray I'll grant but he's also in general not managing his feelings well (avoiding and ignoring). At the end of the day I think (even perceived) unrequited feelings can make people do things that might not be as well thought out as we'd like.

I love this line about Daphne because in a way, James going to her is another act born from being self-absorbed. Could he absolutely talk to Remus and Sirius? Yes. But he's already got an idea in his mind about what they'll say and he doesn't want to hear it. As much as he never planned to act on Daphne's advice, he felt better hearing that, having someone argue against his feeling of inadequacy than hear (what he expects to be) confirmation of it. It's been very fun to write!
