Yet more GO art from me!
Tumblr media
I’ve been wanting to paint this moment since I saw it way back in season one. This is absolute Peak Crowley Hair, and while I had a lot more fun painting his face, I’m beyond pleased with how it turned out. As ever, it was painted in Clip Studio Paint and like all my recent works, prints etc are available on my InPrnt shop. (@Lynkhart)
I’m still not sure where this sudden influx of inspiration is going to take me but I’m enjoying the ride!

yet more good omens art!
Tumblr media
Apparently I cannot be stopped and the drive to paint has completely taken over me! 🙈
I know I keep saying it but I’m genuinely blown away by how motivated I’ve been with all this recently and the positive feedback I’ve had from everyone is honestly really overwhelming so thank you all so much. ❤️ I’m really pleased with this one - Michael Sheen is so much fun to paint as his expressions are incredible.
As ever this was painted digitally in Clip Studio Paint. I’ve got a timelapse/speedpaint video on my Instagram @Lynkhart and prints are available on my InPrnt shop (also @Lynkhart) :3

As promised, the Gay Pirate Brainrot has set in thanks to multiple watches of OFMD and therefore I must paint all of the things. 😌 As soon as I saw this shot at the end of episode 3 I was ✨obsessed✨. Taika Waititi does this thing with his whole face that is just so ridiculously emotive and soft and so it swiftly became my number one moment to paint. (I couldn’t have picked a nice simple scene that wasn’t heavily shaded and not underwater, could I?!) The hair was a nightmare and I had to simplify it a bit but I’m really chuffed with how it turned out.
As ever this was painted in Clip Studio Paint over the course of this afternoon/evening and mostly on one layer because apparently I’m a glutton for punishment. 😂 I’ve added it to my print shop on INPRNT too if anyone wants a copy :3

‘The Thing With The Halo’
Tumblr media
Compared with all the other paintings I’ve done recently, this one really fought me. I don’t know if it was the dramatic lighting or the fact that everything was all virtually the same colour value but I really struggled with it. The facial details I’m still not 100% happy with but I know if I fuss with it any more I’ll get carried away and ruin it. 😂 I ended up throwing some textures on because I thought the lighting gave it a really cool vibe that reminded me of some of the Dutch old masters. (the vibe at least, I’m definitely not putting myself anywhere near that level of artistry lol 😂) Out of all of it my favourite part is weirdly the shadowed arm on the left, I really like how the shading turned out. As with all the others, this was painted in Clip Studio Paint. :3
Also! After quite a few people asked, I now have a place to sell art prints from!

Yep, I’m back at it again with my OFMD art!
(In before anyone says it in the comments, yes, this IS a painting and not a screenshot, for some reason my style has ended up like this and I’m just as astonished as you lot! 🤣
There’s so much that I love about OFMD, the unapologetically queer premise, the humour, the characters - it’s all spectacular, but one thing that this new season has surprised me with is the arc of one of its more controversial characters. Izzy Hands could so easily have been relegated to the classic stock villain archetype, the one you love to hate and cheer for their downfall, but instead they’ve given him the same chance to grow and develop as the rest of the crew, and it’s fascinating to watch. @oneill.con does a phenomenal job and every scene he’s in is electric. I’m so excited to see where things go with Izzy for the rest of the season and beyond, and I’m pretty sure this won’t be the last time I paint our new unicorn. 🥹
I painted this in Clip Studio Paint in about 6/7ish hours today whilst catching up with Critical Role. I’m not entirely sure how I’m able to do them so fast but I’m not complaining! 😂🙈
Prints of this and my other work are available on my INPRNT store here: https://www.inprnt.com/gallery/lynkhart/

So uh, Good Omens. 🥺 I really enjoyed the first series but didn’t expect to be as utterly annihilated by season 2 in the way that I have. There’s just so much LOVE in it, like sinking into a hot bath at the end of a long day, and that it’s so unapologetically queer as well is just the icing on top. Episode 6 just about ended me though and if we don’t get a season 3 I may implode. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet but if anyone wants to talk meta/rant/gush/cry together about it just DM me because I am Going Through It. 🥺😩🙈 After my second watchthrough I knew I just had to draw Crowley during that conversation and as soon as I saw the tears in his eye I knew I’d found the moment. I haven’t drawn anything digitally in forever so I’m actually over the moon with how it turned out, and I honestly can’t believe it’s taken me so long to draw David Tennant properly because he has SUCH a good face. 😂 I’ll probably attempt an Aziraphale as well because there are so many moments I want to try to capture. (I’m leaning towards the ‘smitten’ bit at the moment 🥹)
If you haven’t watched Good Omens at all I am begging you, you must, it’s so good. The first season has a bit of a different vibe to S2 but it’s just 😩👌
Anyway, I did this in Clip Studio Paint if anyone’s wondering. I rarely do realism because I’m always really nitpicky about my own work but I’m just so so pleased with this one, I can’t believe I managed it! 🥹

This last week I’ve had a burst of creativity unlike anything in years. I don’t know if it’s my now four(!) rewatches of season 2 of Good Omens or David Tennant and Michael Sheen’s faces specifically, but I’ve gone from being really unsure of myself in portraiture to somehow producing three of the best things I’ve drawn in rapid succession and I’m still kind of shell shocked by that. This one in particular was astonishing in that it’s all on one layer. (except for the background) I usually play it safe when I paint and have multiple layers In Case Things Go Wrong, but last night I threw caution to the wind and just got stuck in, and I cannot tell you how freeing it was to just let go and paint. I’m finally finding a style I love - something I’ve been seriously lacking for years - and I’m just so so pleased with how this has turned out. I don’t know how long this inspiration will last (and knowing me and my adhd it could vanish tomorrow 🙈) but I’m absolutely going to keep going with it as long as possible! A timelapse of it from start to finish will be going up next so check that out too if you like.

Yet another painting from me this week!
One of my favourite moments from Good Omens S2 is early on in episode 1 where Crowley reacts to the revelation that Aziraphale apparently has a ‘naked man friend’ in his bookshop. 😂 Even behind the glasses he’s doing a perfect 🤨 and I couldn’t resist choosing it as my next painting. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to capture his eyes behind the glasses but it ended up working out surprisingly well! It’s funny, each of my portraits has been very different and I seem to be picking up new techniques and ideas with each one - where was this motivation a few years ago?! I feel like I’ve leapt forward years in personal artistic development in a fortnight, it’s incredible. 😂
Painted as ever in Clip Studio Paint - mostly using a gouache and pencil brush from a screenshot reference. I’ve got timelapses of all my work on my instagram (Lynkhart)

Yet another Crowley! I painted this one whilst on a nearly five hour train ride last week and finished it off last night.
I’ll add it to my InPrnt shop tomorrow if I can remember 😂

Yes, yes you are Aziraphale. Very much so. 🥹
So apparently the inspiration to paint isn’t going anywhere which is, frankly, unheard of for me as normally I’ll get a couple of paintings done in a day or two and then my muse wanders off almost immediately but I’m just on fire this week it seems! 🤯

This is hopefully going to be the first in a series of historical portraits of these two through time. I’ve been wanting to do something like this for aaaaages and I’ll be starting a matching Crowley momentarily! Prints are available on my InPrnt store!

‘Show me a Great Plan’ 🥺
This particular moment from S1 of Good Omens has always been one of my favourites, with David Tennant absolutely destroying me with his usual and unparalleled expressiveness, and after the first episode of S2, it made me want to combine the two, showing, perhaps, what Crowley thinks of first when Great Plans are concerned. 🥹 Also it was a conscious decision not to just repaint a screenshot so I could hopefully avoid the million comments of ‘OMG THIS IS A PAINTING/NOT A SCREENSHOT?!’ which, don’t get me wrong, are EXTREMELY flattering, but I wanted to branch out a bit and not just be known for paintings that look like screenshots. 🙈😅
This might be my last GO piece for a while too as I’m shifting into Gay Pirates mode with the much anticipated return of OFMD! (I’ve already watched eps 1-5 twice each and I’ll be going absolutely feral until the rest come out!)
Prints are available from my INPRNT shop!

‘Just like the old times’
Tumblr media
Have one hopelessly optimistic angel right before things take a turn. 🥺
I don’t know what miracle season 2 of Good Omens has cast upon me, but I’m not complaining because it’s given me the ability to paint in a way I never thought I could manage. I’ve always really struggled with finding a style I liked that was realistic but stylised and somehow this just came together perfectly over the last two days. I remember my high school art teacher always telling me I needed to ‘loosen up’ with my art and until very recently I’ve never been able to do that so I hope she’s happy at last. 😂
Anyway, the Good Omens brainrot is very very real and I don’t think this will be the last such portrait! I took an inordinate amount of screenshots during my 3 (!) rewatches so I’ve got plenty of inspiration! (Big thanks to @neil-gaiman for gifting us such a fantastic series…but also how dare you. 😩)
I’ve got a timelapse on my Instagram showing the process from start to finish which can be found here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cv0-3-DoUNV/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Presenting, the Ineffable Horsebands!
A few weeks ago I decided that I’d be customising some model horses into everyone’s favourite ineffable duo as part of an annual painting challenge called NaMoPaiMo. It isn’t a competition, it’s just a fun community event, and I’ve been taking part for years. Anyway, the important thing is that I had way too much fun turning Aziraphale and Crowley into horses. (and yes, a crack fic explaining precisely why they’re horses is already in progress 🙈😂) Also, because apparently I’m a glutton for punishment, I spent far too long faffing about with fine wire, pliers and resin to make Crowley a pair of sunglasses. Obviously the legs of the frames wouldn’t actually work in reality but he’s a demon horse, so physics is optional. I didn’t have any patterned ribbon small enough for a teeny tiny bow tie for Aziraphale so I improvised and painted tartan stripes on some scrap fabric. It’s a little bigger than I’d have liked but it’s stupidly cute so it works. 😂 There’s also a couple of nods to their celestial/diabolical forms too if you look closely. 👀
If you check out #ineffablehorsebands on my Instagram you can see all my WIP photos and stuff if you want to see how they were customised, and while we’re on the subject, #lynkhartart for my GO paintings as well 👀)
So, may I present Aziraphale, aka Azirafoal, the Principalomino or Principalipony. Known for being so heartmeltingly sweet that you feel obliged to give him all of the treats and carrots and biscuits he desires. (That said, he would 100% yeet a child if they annoyed him. 😇🐴🪽 …and Crowley, aka Crowleypony, known for Cantering Vaguely Downwards, biting anyone who looks at him wrong and destroying rugs and expensive tack just because he can and it annoys people. 😈🐴🔥 I already have some ideas for other characters too, halp. 🙈 Is this how I’m going to stay sane until S3 comes out?!

Veska is my main D&D character and one I absolutely adore. She’s a joy to play and the shenanigans she’s got up to/trouble she’s caused in game never fail to make me laugh. I’ve been meaning to do her a proper character sheet for a while now so I’ve been working on it off and on for the last few weeks in Clip Studio Paint.
It should go without saying but don’t steal her or my art please. She’s the only thief allowed on this post!
