Alguien estaría mirando a través de la ventana, escribiendo en una carta: 'no hemos de juzgar a Dios por este asunto. Es solo un boceto que no resultó'. Esta inversión platónica, la sugerencia de que lo nuestro quizás no sea la sombra sino la cosa -el Pleroma, y no un índice imperfecto- me atrajo oscuramente. Afuera un perro negro describía círculos en la arena, bajo la lluvia, lanzando dentelladas a las gaviotas que revoloteaban como mariposas tres metros más arriba".

A short story by a writer I knew nothing about until a recommendation a couple of days ago by a friend. I loved this story. Strange, disjointed, shifting realities, yet still rooted in the everyday. Now I need to read more!
