No Excuses November!
My "No Excuse November" Goals:
Workout at least 3x per week.
Maintain current weight level
Limit soda/alcohol to once a week max.
Take steps (reading, meditation, practice) to create a more positive mental outlook on life.

It's a four day weekend so everybody had today off. I still had to hit the grocery store today though, so I did that this afternoon. Got gas on the way home too, got almost 3/4 tank under $20 thanks to fuel points ($1.67 a gallon, thanks Kroger!).
It's supposed to rain all weekend so I got in my usual evening dog walk before making dinner instead.

Dinner was big ass salads with döner meatballs. The meatballs are really fast to make and even the kids like them.
Then I pulled up the bank website to do a quick spending check and update the spending spreadsheet... And found a couple of fraudulent charges. Only one had gone through, so after the kids went to bed we got to take care of that. The replacement card will be here next week. Yay. 🙃 This is why I go through my bank statement pretty regularly. And kinda grateful that they tried to use our card for something at Spectrum, because we don't use them and it was very obvious. If they had stuck to smaller Amazon purchases (the only thing that successfully purchased that we caught on the statement) we might not have noticed for a very long time.

"No Excuse November" Goals List
Hello!
So I've joined "No Excuse November" (duuh) challenge by @m0tiv8me
Time to make goals list, so in November I want to:
Focus on strenghtening my core more so I can make my forearms/head-stand.
Eat better - I wanna stick to the 80/20 rule, let's try that.
Work out at least 2 times/week in gym.
Make at least 2 yoga sessions/week.
Hope I will make it lol. If you're in challenge too I wish you good luck :d

So, I'm kind of just hanging on my the skin of my teeth. Not losing weight, though feeling a little less lethargic lately. I have been working out and trying to add more walking, but my toe issue continues to be a problem with this.
Anyway, I thought I'd try adding more strength training to my life after reading the book "Outlive" which talks a lot about strength allowing us to maintain our health and independence as we age.
I have joined a gym nearby and they have weight machines. I haven't been in there to really explore them in depth yet, but I assume the normal range of upper and lower body machines are available.
TL;DR:
Here is my question for anyone who does strength training: What is the best way to keep track of your progress? How do you track your reps and the weight lifted? What app do you use? Or do you just write it down? Don't tell me you keep it in your brain, cos my brain would never remember from day to day.
Any suggestions on how to keep track of your weight lifting routines and track progress is appreciated.

Couple pics and a video from Rezz; I took a bathroom selfie since I was loving my new hoodie thing. I saw in a tumblr post haha. Kinda thin but works great when I don't need something too thick. And it's looks so cool! 🖤 And there's a nice shot of the venue before the sun set; if that tower looks familiar to you, this was Frost Amphitheater which is on Stanford's campus. I love the tiered grass GA, so lovely. 🥹 It may be the favorite venue of both my bf and me...

I slept so hard I almost forgot we have another concert tonight! Calabrese (psychobilly) up in SF. This is at a venue that I think is basically a bar? So a much smaller place this time haha.

November 2023 #noexcusenovember Challenge
So I signed up for @m0tiv8me 's #noexcusenovember challenge. I've been thinking about this for a week and I'm going to break mine into primary and secondary challenges.
Primary: -Workout/lift 5 days a week (Mon-Fri) starting no later than 10:30am -Run 200km this month.
Secondary: -Run 6 days a week - this ties into the 200km challenge, because that breaks down to 6.6km if I were to run for 30 days straight, so I have to stay on top of this or I won't complete it.
-increase my Pushups/Pullups. My warmup for each workout is a pushup/pullup challenge. My goal is 100 pushups/50 pullups, for time, plus how many I can do in the first set.
Currently I'm at roughly 60 pushups/30 pullups, and I can do 35 pushups on the first set, and 10 pullups, overall it takes me about 10 minutes. Previously I tried the 100 pushup challenge in 2021, on Day 1 I could do 30 pushups and overall it took me 10 minutes. By Day 39 I got to 48 pushups on the first set, and I could complete 100 in 5 minutes 53 seconds. So hopefully I can get close to that, or beat it.

No Excuses November
Y'all I'm here!! I'm clocked in even if I'm a little late.
Here are my goals for the month:
Hike 3x/ week, totaling at least 6 miles per hike
2, 25 minute lifting + ab sessions/week.
No looking at my phone in bed in the mornings for any extended amount of time, 4x/week!!
Try one new thing each week. Anything. But it has to be a new experience
Meditate every day.

Last night, I got my hike 1 done. But, I did not meditate; and I def. used my phone in the bed in the AM. Today is looking much better in terms of my goals: I'll update later tonight with my progress.
