Hi guys,

I love this time of year because brands bring out their Christmas collections and let's be honest they bring out some gorgeous products and some rather random winter themed products. Today we are trying the MAC Frosted Blur Face Primer, 30ml £35.00.

Now I'll be honest I don't buy a lot of MAC products, not for any particular reason but I just don't visit the counter often. But when I found out MAC were bringing out a cooling primer in their winter collection I knew I had to try it out. This primer is described as a oil-control primer that gives you a blurred velvet-matte finish.

The primer itself is a blue gel that when you apply to the skin it turns into a clear colour. Now what makes this primer different to the usual MAC primers is that it is a water-releasing powders in the formula bursts upon contact, waking up your skin and senses with a refreshing splash of coolness.

When I first tried this primer out I wasn't sure what to expect because it said it was a cooling primer but the minute it was applied to my skin it really did feel cooler on my collection. As for the oil control I would say it gives my skin a demi-matte finish and my makeup did last really well but I wouldn't say it controlled my oil anymore than my normal primers (and I have oily combo skin).

Personally I like the primer and think it feels really nice on my skin however it's not something I would repurchase again because the primer and packaging is a lot smaller than I expected given the price. If you are a fan of MAC primers and collect their winter products then I say go for it, if you aren't then I would say maybe try a more affordable option.
