Very happy about the fact that what you read as fanfiction in no way depicts the way you feel in the real world. I would be a fucking psychopath otherwise LOL. Fell back into the problematic YashiSato part of 僕だけがいない街 (ERASED) because there is something inherently beautiful yet twisted about how they mirror each other, needing each other, knowing each other intimatly to their *soul* that attracts me to these two. There's just something about obsession between mirroring characters that depict moral good and moral bad as deeply fascinating to me. Maybe it's the aromantic in me that doesn't understand romantic love and sees this obsession, knowing it's obviously *bad* in real life, but finding it fascinating anyway in a fictional setting.

Okay— but in the rooftop scene, before Gaku lets go of the wheelchair, he’s crying, and his eyes are wide. He doesn’t look sad, he looks relieved. As he lets go of the wheelchair, his eyes go brown again and he stands up, about to end it up. If you ever read the manga, you’d know that Gaku has the thread himself, and he kills people with the thread. So, Gaku is relieved, finally feeling free to go because he’s realized he can’t live without Spice. Now, I shouldn’t sympathize for a murderer, but he had a shit child hood, and felt the obligation to play the role of Buddha and Kandata, finding those to give the thread, but knocking them down and cutting the thread. Letting Satoru go, was his way of letting the thread go and accepting that he’ll never be good. That he’ll always be a sinner. And this realization is heart breaking.

Honestly. Don’t just over look this, because I’m serious. Gaku was fucked up from the start, yes, I get it, but he didn’t get there on his own. His brother would beat him, out of jealousy, because Gaku earned the attention of their RICH, POPULAR parents! Gaku never asked to be smarter. Hence, he acts like the abuse didn’t affect him, but it obviously did.

There wasn’t much detail, but I’m willing to bet that their parents didn’t treat either of them good, especially Gaku’s brother. They both probably didn’t get any positive attention unless they got good grades or achieved something. So, the only attention either of them got was the violence, so therefore violence is all they know!

And even more, Gaku’s brother forced him to help RAPE little girls, made Gaku BRIBE them. Just so Gaku wouldn’t have to get beat up anymore. This went on until Gaku’s brother murdered a little girl, made Gaku hide said body, and hid it from anybody. Imagine being a little kid having to keep that to yourself? Hell to the fuck no no no.

Furious, Gaku is so so so fucking furious and outraged by his brother that he KILLS him, imagine being 10 and feeling to need to kill your own sibling because they murdered somebody. And it was all perfect, made it look like it was out of guilt. Christ. Gaku feels the need to kill people with the thread because they’re bad, hell! He knows he’s bad, because he sees the thread on himself after he murders his wife.

I can see how Gaku is remorseful, yes, he’s so apathetic and sadistic, but that’s because he doesn’t know how to FEEL. All he knows how to feel is that adrenaline! That’s all he knows how to feel. Being provoked violently spikes adrenaline. From a young age, all Gaku knew was the heart racing and fight or flight. Fucker chose fight.

I can’t help but feel bad. He sees the threads, which are connected to sinners. Gaku himself knows he’s a sinner. It must feel like having the weight on your shoulders to know who’s a bad person, to feel the obligation to murder them and clean the world. Then having to know that you’re evil, too. That must be soul crushing.

Then again, Gaku had attachment issues, all the way. Has attachment issues to Satoru. Literally! He realized he cannot LIVE WITHOUT HIM!! People, please! This man is fuck from the inside out. Upside down, sideways, vertically, horizontally, every which way! Mentally! He doesn’t know how to interact with anything but violence.

On the rooftop, he’s crying because he can’t decide whether to kill Satoru to get rid of his killing instinct, or to kill them both. He decided to do them both. That realization in his eyes when he realizes it shouldn’t be his job to kill is so… so… sad. You can see it. He goes from rage to relief in a moment, getting so relieved and happy to let go on that thread, to stop the dull throb from the burn of his weight tugging on the thin silk.

Just imagine being in his place. Nobody should want or have to be in that place, nobody. :C

Machi's #15 DPxDC Idea

Bruce couldn't understand what was happening, or why, or how, or why, or when, or well, anything at all. One day he found two civilians, two teens goofing around the cave like two newlyweds. When Batman, with capital B; tried to interrogate them he only got mockery.

"What's with the long face?" They said before disappearing through one of the smaller caves. For a moment Bruce thought he had hallucinated the Asian boy and the Hispanic girl. Only to find the same Hispanic girl with a blond boy making out on Red Robin's bike. Plus another couple with them! And all of them were holding hands!

Then, a few days later, while he was investigating the lower levels of the batcave he found a black boy with a red beanie flirting with Jason, and Jason was flirting back? Batman had to pull everybody out of the caves and call for an emergency meeting. Only to find a boy with black hair passed out at the meeting table, using Batman's reports as cushions. Sitting next to him was a girl with also dark hair drinking with a straw from a coconut.

"Poor Danny," she said. "After all these years he still can't deal with alcohol." And then she promptly started to offer coconut milk to everyone.

He snapped at her but she only raised an eyebrow and left carrying the boy, Danny, on her back. And then the music started. Day and Night it would start playing at the most random moments. Samba, Rumba, Fados, Boleros, K-pop, anything went in, they even accepted petitions if the kids yelled loud enough. Steph had gotten in the habit of asking for Kill Bill's OST and Dick constantly asked for Taylor Swift. They even answered when Damian complained about their choices and asked for Chopin's nocturne. And then the batcave started to grow flowers! And trees? And the fruit was edible? What the heck?

"Sounds to me like you have a nymph infestation," said Wonder Woman after hearing his rant report. Batman stared at her like she had grown another head.

"I mean, flower powers, free love, did they have pointed ears?" Batman nood. "Yup, definitely a nymph infestation." Batman kept staring at her. Don't look at me like that, they are very common where I come from. The only solution is to wait until they get bored and move on. If you try to get rid of them violently not only you will fail. But also will risk the wrath of the gods." Batman kept staring. Wonder woman sighed. "I will call Pan to see if he is missing any nymphs and wants them back".

Im about to get controversial.

Out of chrollo, illumi and hisoka, hisoka is canonically the least likely to flirt to get anything he wants, if at all.

A lot of people think he's a natural flirt but I fear I couldn't have disagreed more. He only "flirted" a single time and that was solely to piss off machi, knowing she'd never agree. Hot take? He would've never asked if he knew she'd agree.

Also, bro's the biggest humanphobe in the anime. He keeps his distance from everyone. The only human physical contact he ever made was through fighting people. (If you're a person thats interested in seeing more evidence, I have an entire long thread about it on twitter that I do plan on posting here soon)

so u cannot give me 1 reason for hisoka to flirt with someone at a random bar but chrollo and illumi? i can think of a few.

chrollo, he already canonically flirts to get what he wants. straight up goes on dates gets a suit and shit. he has no reputation among the general public that hes concerned of that isnt the spider. Illumi? He's a manipulator. I HIGHLY doubt he never flirted to get something in his life from people who are too easy to win over. He's someone that wouldn't care what people think of him. He's also anonymous. People have no idea who tf he is anyways. If it affected the zoldyck reputation? Thats a different story.

Hisoka? he would fucking NEVER. Him specifically? HE HAS A REPUTATION. And whats that reputation? That hes an absolute disgusting freak that no one should dare to approach. He kills people. He fights live and makes sure the audience is always disgusted and weirded out by his actions and performances. You look at him and you should immediately look away and pray he hasn't seen you.

So riddle me this. If his entire shtick is making sure everyones afraid of him and avoids him, then why the hell would he get himself a reputation that makes him approachable????

Why would he get himself a reputation that makes you, as a person who only ever heard of him picking people up, want to approach him.

On top of that, I just.. don't see him picking random people up..??? random weaklings that dont even know nen????? he literally treats them like trash that inconveniences his time. You're saying he'd EVER give them the privilege of sleeping with him???

And then you'd say, oh so he'd sleep with strong people! HERES THE THING. Why would he sleep with them..... when he can fight them. Him getting off from fighting comes NOWHERE to actual sex. What people don't understand is that he gets off to killing people and seeing them crumble in front of him when they realize theyre going to die. Torturing people to death. Hunter x Hunter ships I personally don’t like

These are ships that are NOT supported on my page.

Please note a couple things before reading.

1, I do not hate any ships for being WLW, MLM or NL (hetero) unless it’s the result of representation erasure (An example of this is in the Owl House Community. People ship Lunter and say that it’s ok because Luz is a canon Bisexual but it’s still WLW relationship erasure!!! I do not support Lunter btw…)

2, I’m gonna mention stuff like proshipping and toxic relationships so please be warned if you’re triggered by those types of things do not read under the cut

3, I’m also gonna talk about ships I lovehate due to having extremely mixed opinions.

Killunary (Killua x Canary)

There are a couple reasons why I don’t like this ship but it’s mostly because of the power imbalance. Certain employee x employer ships just don’t work due to extreme power imbalance. The main example of this is the Zoldyck family and their abusive nature towards all the butlers, including how Kikyo treats Canary when she got close to Killua.

The other reason is because I see Killua as a heavily MLM coded character. And I’m sorry if you don’t agree but based on both his canon and non-canon interactions with the various women of the story, I don’t think he’s straight. I personally think he might be gay/vincian but it’s up to interpretation!! I cannot see Killua dating a girl. (This includes ships like KilluRetz and Killumane)

Hisomachi (Hisoka x Machi)

Again, Hisoka is a heavily MLM coded character with Machi being the only woman in the series he’s shown possibly romantic interest in. Hisoka himself is an extremely harmful stereotype of a gay man being overly flamboyant but also predatory towards kids and women. That is a stereotype that is shown and pushed VERY often with Hisoka. (If you do view Machi as WLW, which I do, she’s also a harmful stereotype of the mean, man hating, lesbian./lh)

Also the fact that Machi straight up rejected his dinner offer in the Heaven’s Arena Arc should be enough to push the fact that she doesn’t like him…

Kuroneon (Chrollo/Kuroro x Neon)

Ok I only have like one reason but I feel like it’s validated tbh!!! He literally attacked her and stole her ability. And I don’t wanna go on a whole rant about Neon and her complexities rn but her nen ability, lovely ghostwriter, was essentially the only reason for her father to love her and care the way he did…

Also their age difference urks me ALOT cuz Neon is about the same age as Kurapika (17-19) and Chrollo is pushin 30… T-T

Kurokura (Chrollo/Kuroro x Kurapika)

A lot of people ship them because “lol omg enemies to lovers!!” But like. This isn’t that kind of enemies to lovers hun… :// Chrollo and the troupe literally massacred the Kurta Clan with zero mercy and left Kurapika alone and almost defenseless in an unfamiliar world. He destroyed everything Kurapika had. That’s not something Kurapika would or will forgive easily. Kurapika is literally destroying himself inside out because of what the troupe did to the Kurta Clan. This ship is just ugh it’s so toxic I hate >:(

Also again, even if Chrollo didn’t destroy the Kurta Clan, age difference. Kurapika’s the same age as Neon (17-19) and Chrollo is PUSHING 30!!!!! Icky!!!

Tbh this goes for any of the Troupe x Kurapika… gross age difference and disgusting enemies to lovers dynamic.

Pitokai (Neferpitou x Kite/Kaito)

One of my biggest icks ever is Victim x Killer because like how would YOU feel if you were violently murdered for seemingly no reason and then find out that there are people out there who think you and your killer would be cute if you dated O.O

Yeah it’s like… really toxic. I don’t have the energy to go into all the details of it but Killer x Victim has no reason to be as popular as it is…

Wisky (Wing x Bisky)

(I couldn’t find any GIFs of them from the movie so you get this still image)

Teacher x Student dynamics really ick me as well… in most but not all cases the teacher is somewhat of a parental figure and the student is very young, in most cases a minor!!! We don’t exactly know if Wing was a kid when Bisky taught him nen since she refers to most people younger then as kids but the idea that she was extremely influential in his earlier years and has that older adult figure role in his life makes the idea of shipping them just.. it makes my skin crawl tbh ^^|||

Also there’s a HUGE age difference with Bisky being 57 and Wing being in his early 20s.

Gingkite (Ging x Kite/Kaito)

Again w the teacher x student guys… the same reasons as with Wisky expect we know for a fact that Ging met and started training Kite when he was a teenager! Makes this extra icky.

Again with the age difference! Ging is in his 30s I think maybe 40s? And Kite is in his early 20s. Pretty big age gap!!!

Any incestous Zoldyck ships

The fact that I even have to state this… dude… c’mon…. Incest is NOT cool chat!!

Any ships between the siblings? DISGUSTING!!

Between the kids and the parents? GRODY!!

Between Zeno and his grandkids? OUTRAGEOUS!!

This isn’t even just limited to the Zoldyck family dude… Mito x Ging is a thing apparently…

Merupouf (Meruem x Shaiapouf)

Gonna be so fr w you guys… I used to ship this… i thought they were funny :’) I’VE RECOVERED DW!!! (/lh)

Uh yeah so the power dynamic is really erm!!! /neg I genuinely cannot go into detail about how toxic they are but I’ll try to summarize… Pouf has like a perfected version of Meruem in his head as the king but when Meruem starts to change for the better he rejects it and thinks he knows what’s best for the king and shit!!! Also Meruem treats his Royal guards like shit (at the beginning) their relationship gets only slightly better towards the end but it’s still abusive!!!

Also my friend Eren pointed out that the Royal guards exist solely for Meruem. Like they are Meruem and Meruem only. Everything is for him and that adds like a super fucked up dynamic to this ship…

A series where the titualar host: bin (where trash is and cones out of), rants and goes off about manga and anime or any other peice of media that has been forgotten, not talked about enough, or generally caught their fancy and strong emotions that they don't want people on insta to know. Hope you enjoy your stay

Today's media:

Soremachi [And yet the town moves/soredemo machi wa mawatteiru]

On an outside view it's very simplistic and doesn't look like it has much to it. Its just a 16 volume manga series that ran from 2005-16 and was generally forgotten for its mediocrity. wWhat really sells the series is the characters and the town itself.

The manga follows hotori our main character around the town she lives in and she's grown up in. It's the feeling of a close knit town where everyone knows everyone. The friends that laugh and knock you on your head. The childhood friend who gets annoyed but still secretly loves you. The older sister figure you look upto who gets you into new books and hobbies. The uncles who greet you and ask about your well-being and studies that you can joke around with. It all reeks of this nostalgic feeling of home. Maybe not one you've lived through but you wish you do.

The homely atmosphere of this comes from how much the characters are seen to care about each other. This is best shown in chapter 13-14 where hotori dies and goes to the modern afterlife and she herself can see how this affects the town. How her parents are in greif and praying to the gods for a miracle to save her. How the shopkeeping uncles are enraged and are close to beating up the truck driver. How her siblings are trying to hold back tears. The disbelief of her friends and asking what she did to deserve this. How even the maths teacher who hated her was crying over her last test. Sanada's regrets over never telling her how he felt. How the grans who employed her prayed for her husband to take care of her in the afterlife.

It shows how much she has touched all of their lives and it doesn't feel out of left field because we spent the time with her interacting with the town residents. But god her reaction? If your heart was wrenched by her dad screaming she was only 16 then her reaction will rip your heart out because she's realising how much everyone cares about her when it's all too late and how much she cares for them all.

The series has its supernatural elements and its silly comedy elements. Its a very light-hearted comfy show that honestly ill go back and read again.

The anime is 12 episodes and done by shaft and hence weird cam angles ensue. But it does have a very short run as it only adapts 24 chapters. But a good watch regardless and sets atmosphere well. The opening is a banger tho.

The manga series ends by not completing every characters arc but hotori and shizuka's arc of hotori accepting that shizuka was her favourite mystery author the entire time. It doesn't end everyone's arc as life keeps moving and each arc would take its own time to end and yet the town moves.

Welcome to my weekly rant about a certain thing. I'm not sure what else will follow in the future although I have a small list of things I wanna go through. I try to put out one rant a week (for a not very sociable person like I am that's a lot).

A short anime with 12 episodes and in my opinion almost a must watch for lovers of the romance genre.

The story starts with our main character Ichirou Kuga and his two younger siblings Machi and Fumio who have just lost their father to an illness. Now Ichirou is trying to make a living from being a landlord and his passion: a manga artist. He wants to save up enough money to eventually send his siblings off to college if they choose to do so.

However, he is barely making deadlines and now has to care for his siblings on top of his other duties, so he eventually finds an assistant in Shiori Goshiki, a young woman who seems quite artistically talented despite having never drawn manga.

Soon he will find out things about her he could have never imagined.

Without spoiling anything I will say that there is a slight supernatural twist in the story that is the driving force behind the plot.

What makes this show so great? Good question!

It is an adorable story about family and love that blooms in all these characters. Ichirous siblings are the cutest little siblings I have ever seen in an anime. Shiori is a girl from a distant island so she has never had much contact with the outside world. She is also no primitive being but gets excited about the most simple things, making her adorable.

Ichirou is a normal guy who is always willing to help despite the workload on his table but ultimately kinda sucks at socializing making him very relatable.

BUT the biggest plus point is: this anime actually almost exclusively focuses on romance so it's consistently cute and enjoyable for romance lovers. The characters are amazingly written and realistic and not a single one of them is annoying but they're still unique in their own sense.

What was important for me is that these characters are not like shy little teenagers or act on impulse and do something stupid over and over again. The main couple is a shy mess sometimes but that's only because neither of them have any idea how a relationship is supposed to work which makes it even cuter.

In short: A must-watch for romance enjoyers and finally an anime that actually focuses on romance and presents it well.

— Hey… aren't you cold, here ?

Feitan looks up to Shalnark over his shoulder. This one meets him on the roof of their hiding place. Bundled up in cover, the blonde doesn't wait for an answer and goes on to sit behind him and to bring him between his legs. A moment, the young man tenses before accepting to lean against his torso. Growing bolder, Shalnark closes the cover on them.

Feitan wavers some seconds before to permit the embrace. They're alone on the roof and… if he must be honest with himself, he's not against sharing warmth. The days in Meteor are burning hot but the nights are really cold. The fight against the ant-queen has left him with a ferrous taste in the throat. He has concentrated his nen around his internal injuries to support bleeding organs. It must do the job in waiting for Machi. Shalnark hums a melody in a distracted tone. Feitan let his head to rest on his friend's shoulder. The blonde looks down on him and smiles. They don't need to talk.

— You'll have to go and tell Nobugana that you're the New boss, he says though.

— Don't call me that, mumbles Feitan.

Just this idea induces a headache under his forehead. The samouraï is going to bawl, to protest, to rant and rave. And he'll can not even kill him to shut him down.

— You are public relations from now, he decides on a whim.

— Who has said that ?

— I boss. I decide you say him.

In his back, he feels Shalnark's laughter thrilling through his torso. A tiny smile stretches his lips.

— Hey ! What's so funny up there ?

Phinks hops easily on the roof and joins them hands in his pockets.

— Kalluto is sleeping, he tells before to sit by their side. Are you going to share what's going on ?

— I've got a promotion, Shalnark says giggling. I'm the new RH.

The big blonde glaces toward them with surprise.

— Ah… yeah ?

He's talking slowly, waits the next step of the joke. Feitan is feeling generous so :

— He says Nobunaga.

Phinks understands and grimaces.

— Seriously ?

The reason is really obvious, no ?

— Yes. Nobu listens Shal. Give up easier. No need kill him and no need explain Chrollo why one more down. Very good plan !

Silence.

Shalnark's muscular arms shivers and tightens around him.

— Yeah… A good plan, he mutters.

They don't talk very much after that, just happy to be alive and together. Feitan looks up at the stars in the nights sky. Are Uvogin and Pakunoda looking for them from where they are now ? They must be laughing that it would be him from all the members who is in charge.

At this thought, a smile comes playing again on his lips. He likes this idea. The three of them end up falling asleep on the roof. Phinks grumbles they're going to catch a cold and lures them in a puppies pile on him. His big body transmits an almost burning heat. Body is going to freeze to death on this roof. Now, they are fine and it's all that matters.
