The Four Vital Macromolecules of Biology: Structure, Differences, and Functions
Biology is an intricate tapestry of interactions and functions, with the fundamental building blocks being macromolecules. These large molecules play significant roles in almost all biological functions and processes. They are crucial for the structure, function, and regulation of the body’s tissues and organs. Let’s delve into the four primary macromolecules, exploring their differences and…

Although the drawing may seem like an ordinary burger, this burger consists of macromolecules that we encounter every single day. The hamburger buns, tomatoes, lettuce, and ketchup represents forms of carbohydrates. The hamburger patty represents protein. The cheese represents a form of a lipid.
The major macromolecules include carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. We do not consume nucleic acids, but they describe two of the most important substances to life. DNA and RNA. Carbs are mostly known for providing energy to organisms. Lipids are known for being nonpolar and poorly mixing or interacting with water. However lipids make up important structures such as the phospholipid bilayer within the plasma membrane of a cell. Proteins are an essential component of muscles and enzymes within the body.

Wonders of Science
Hello boys and girls. My name is Robin and today we will be talking about the Wonders of Science. Let's talk about macromolecules, or the things we put inside our bodies. They are different foods and drinks that can help you survive. Having different molecules bring down giving water back in return to replenish what we lost. When we look at the Earth, it is mainly carrying carbon. Without it, we will not survive. The entire planet would die, just like Pluto, we would be considered no more. Another thing our Earth needs is water, providing food for some and energy for all. It is seventy-percent of our bodies, weighing over half on other parts of the body. Coming in three different forms (solid, gas, and liquid), provides every living thing on Earth a chance to survive. Having science is to question everything in your presence. Chemistry is a the reason for those things, expanding how big we view the world. Breaking down atoms to give back something more resourceful to the world. This brings you the Scientific Method. Scientific Method starts making observations. Doing research and finding out the answers one step at a time. When you can ask the hypothesis (question), you can solve the problem. Thank you all and I hope you enjoy the read.

There’s something about donning a white lab coat and using a microscope that makes you feel like a real scientist — but maybe I’m just romanticizing all this again.

Feeling that whole "emerges from Word document covered in blood" vibe rn, except it's for work and not fun things like porn, so my brain cells are each screaming in a different voice

Fun fact about us: we really, really like doing crossovers, whether between different Things or just between different AUs of the same Thing. We deeply enjoy throwing things into each other and seeing the relative "normal" interact, tinkering with different potential outcomes of the same general thing, fucking around with culture clash and alternate realities, and all of that fun stuff.
Unfortunately, we also get into flavors of media that isn't quite finished a lot, and we often really want to throw together AUs that we have to write ourself together with things, which means that we're nearly constantly running into the same handful of roadblocks: it's really hard to write about stuff when people have no idea what you're talking about, and it's also really hard to write about stuff when you don't know half of what's going on.
This means that a decent chunk of our writing that is finished tends to stay in drafts - fics based on information that needs to be revealed in stuff we haven't yet written, fics based on media where half of the things we need to know aren't yet revealed in canon, and similar situations easily make up our second most common category of "finished but unpublished" and "finished except for That One Thing" fic (our first most common category is "we need to come up with a decent opening and writing a good hook is hard")
This is, of course, a hell of our own creation. A problem of our own authorship, that we still consistently fail to escape because of our sense of pride and unwillingness to turn out anything that isn't at least half-decent. Similar to the way that we force ourself to reread any media that we write fic of for the sake of accuracy before we can publish it. It makes things take longer, but allows us to ensure quality - though it may hold us back from a certain degree of self-indulgence, mischaracterization is the thing that bothers us most, and if we release a misreading or mischaracterization, that'll haunt us more than any level of soul-baring ever count.
Anyways, all of this is to say that peak self-indulgence for us looks like an isekai Dungeon Meshi/Runaway to the Stars crossover where we stick a handful of characters into the dungeon and let them just kind of cope with that for the forseeable future and the only thing stopping us from doing this is a sense of pride and the fact that Runaway to the Stars doesn't actually have finished & published books right now.

the dual delight and frustration you feel about realizing you know enough about a thing now to be able to know what characters are talking about during the technobabble and also to realizing that they don’t know what the fuck they’re talking about

Strong disagree about the digestive system
From heartburn to storing unregulated fat to hemorrhoids, whole tract is bad news
oh, no you're being unfair!! these are maladies! things that can go wrong! if you thought of the lungs as only a possible place for the invasion of inhaled pathogens, you'd think the same thing of the respiratory system! you can't write the body off as a place where things can go wrong, because everything can sour and function poorly!!
on its own, when it's working optimally, it's lovely. i don't think there's anything in the world more beautiful and convoluted than the small intestine. the specialization of the brush border, from the circular folds to the villi to the microvilli individual projections on the surface of the simple columnar cells... i've never loved anything more. there can be something so personal about the majority of nutrient uptake happening there... it's absolutely and wholeheartedly romantic.
the babylonians believed the liver was so magnificent and marvelous that it must have housed the soul... they were onto something! i mean it!!
