When, thanks to the interactions on Mad's presentation post on Tumblr, we spotted someone else that had an halfa Maddie AU going on too we already knew we wanted to make a little interaction between them (hope that's alright, her storyline is so intriguing)! These two would make a fearsome Evil Science team... RIP little ectopus.

Mad Plasmius (right) belongs to us, while Madam Plasmius was created by @lucifer-is-a-bag-of-dicks and we drew her with an heavy inspiration from @redrobin-detective's design for her!

So I’ve been thinking about @lucifer-is-a-bag-of-dicks​ Halfa Maddie aka Madam Plasmius all day and it made me reach for my notebook. I put my own thoughts on a costume and just generally had some fun with my art pens. Madam’s goopy hair is a delight to draw!

I love the Gray Ghost AU but was sad because it meant no clones, then my brain when NOPE and came up with the clones being Maddie's failed experiments to see if she could change her family into halfas without a portal.

oh absolutely there could still be clones

like Danielle's entire character could even still exist with this line of thinking, she'd be the most successful version of Maddie's attempt to turn a Danny clone into a halfa, but she's still unstable, a failure, so she's worth nothing to Maddie

god this would be so fucked up for Valerie because she's the only one who knows that Maddie did this and Danny lives with this monster

also, oh fuck, I was playing with the idea that Vlad knows what's going on and helps Valerie out, but what if Valerie brings Danielle to him and he becomes her dad and looks after her and keeps her stable BRUH

“ on the funnier side of things, I’m just imagining Maddie has Val trapped and is monologuing and just stops like ‘oh you’ve got some dirt on your cheek here’ and does that mum thing where she licks her thumb and rubs it off, then goes straight back to monologuing like nothing happened” Absolute winner character dynamic and personality.

I'm so into this dynamic you have no idea, on the one hand Maddie is this terrifying menacing creature who keeps kicking Val's ass and has tried to kill her dad multiple times in order to get to the Axiom portal

but on the other hand she is literally the only maternal figure Val has, which is so confusing and awful because this terrible woman is calling her sweetie and wiping dirt off her cheek and asking if she's eaten lunch today and Valerie shouldn't be swayed by that but something in her heart likes this kind of attention

and then she hates herself for it because this woman isn't her mother she's an awful person who hurts people and there's these awful conflicting emotions

especially because Maddie would give that love and care to her all the time if she just joined her

but she has to stick to what she thinks is right and she thinks changing people's entire lives to make them something completely other without their consent is wrong and she can't stand by and watch Danny's life be irreparably changed by someone he's supposed to trust

that and she could never live with someone who's done the things that Maddie has done, no amount of kind mothering could make Val forget that

oh god i'm just imagining danny figuring out everything and the sheer horror he'd feel at what his mother had been planning the whole time... the betrayal on the fenton family's side of things is just going to hit different won't it. also i love EVERYTHING about this roleswap it's so good aslghasldkjasldj

it would be so painful

like there are a lot of layers of betrayal here

for one, Danny is the Red Huntress of this AU (I have yet to decide whether to give him the red colour scheme or something else, maybe a different name I dunno still working on it) so he not only HATES the Gray Ghost, he hates ALL ghosts, all they ever do is cause problems, they're all his parents ever care about, their very existence has robbed him of a normal life

so finding out his mother is a ghost would be a fucking nightmare scenario, she's been a ghost all this time, she lied to them all, what else has she been hiding? can he trust her with anything anymore?

and also, the ghost he's spent all this time hunting and hating is the one who has been keeping his mother in check, she's the one who has been protecting everyone, and that will hurt even worse if he finds out that she's Valerie, the girl he liked, the girl he dated

and not only was his mother a ghost, she was trying to turn him into one too, without asking him, without telling him, she was just going to do it without any care for what he wants

and then there's Jack who just would not be able to believe his wife is capable of doing these awful things, she has to have been taken over by and evil ghost that has just been using her

there's just. so much.

gfdsaigdsh that is the fenton anti creep stick thanks for noticing, cause i figured that if she's still making weapons then she would proably use them, and i gave her green eyes as a callback to danny, tried to make her a little more mad science-y with her coat, took me like 5 tries to finally submit but the acknowledgment from u made it wort it gcgxfhg :)

the coat looks amazing and I love the jazzed up creep stick so much, tbh I'd actually love to add that to Valerie's arsenal

I think it was @floq and @ceciliaspen who were posting a while back about beating supernatural shit with a baseball bat being a Peak Vibe and now I want that to be a Valerie Vibe, like maybe she was really good at baseball in middle school but Casper High doesn't have a baseball team or something so she couldn't keep it up

but she's still REALLY good at hitting stuff

In the gray ghost au idk abt Danny Phantom episodes but I think the episode where Vlad tries to kill Jack would go a lot differently :) Maddie Fenton, Mayor of Amity Park has a nice ring to it I think.

I don't actually think there would be an equivalent to Bitter Reunions, since Maddie's situation is so different that she has no reason to want to kill anyone, Jack and Vlad would have both been supportive in her recovery

Vlad might still be salty about Maddie choosing Jack over him, but he wouldn't have the insane obsession with murdering him, especially because Vlad would probably already be part of the family, like there's no reason he wouldn't have the Uncle Vlad role (also he wouldn't be a billionaire which would make him so different omg)

ooooooh you know what would be really cool, if at some point Vlad finds out what happened to Maddie and who she is and who Valerie is and he actually like, helps Valerie because he's devastated that this woman he loves has become such a monster, and he feels guilty that he never saw this happening to her

also Mayor Maddie oh my god she would kick ass as a Mayor, it would hardcore up her villain status, Madam Plasmius was a threat before but Mayor Maddie Fenton is a whole different threat now

Ok ok so my ideas for Halfa Maddie and Val’s designs:

Maddie w/ the blue acid hair, red and/or yellow eyes, purple skin and it is EXTREMELY important she has a lab coat because she radiates Evil Scientist vibes

Valerie with sepia or blueish complexion because gray ghost w/ red eyes and like. red ecto blasts because Red Huntress parallel

Also I think Danny should be the Green Hunter because again Phantom & Red Huntress/Gray Ghost & Green Hunter parallel

Ohohoho Maddie should have red hazmat and goggles in ghost form because that makes her color scheme black + white + red + blue because she’s Madam Plasmius but also a scientist AND it matches Valerie’s

oh like @redrobin-detective's Madam Plasmius design! they included the lab coat and goggles, it's VERY good and well thought out and I love it more than my own design (if anyone else wants to draw Madam Plasmius I strongly recommend checking it out as a reference, with permission from Redrobin of course!)

Valerie's skin will absolutely be grey, it's where the name initially came from, I colour swapped her image from the show and my exact thought process was 'oh shit grey skin, her name is Gray, IT ALLITERATES WITH GHOST'

her eyes were a pinkish red in the colour swap too, which is what I've decided the colour of her attacks will be, (like original flavoured Plasmius) and after considering some questions and input I've received on her design, I'm gonna go with her having a fire core! it makes a neat parallel between her and Maddie, they both have powers that burn

and Danny! yes! I've been thinking about his hunter design! the only issue is that neither The Green Hunter nor The Blue Hunter really sound that catchy, that has been bothering me a lot, I just can't make myself roll with it, I'm thinking of using a different name entirely, I'm also still tossing up whether to go with green or blue as his colour scheme

green is narratively appealing as a parallel to Val (she was the RED Huntress and now her ghost powers are RED, Danny's ghost powers were GREEN so his hunter suit should be GREEN)

but I also feel like blue would be more aesthetically appealing, and would make sense for his character to want to step away from his parents' green motif

I dunno, still working on that, as always I'm open to suggestions!

Hey so since Madam Plasmius is fixated on her “Perfect Halfa family” rather than Canon Vlad’s fixation Danny as his Perfect Halfa son… Do you think that we could see some Halfa clones of Jazz?

I was rolling with the Danny clones because they're already pre-existing characters, and I figured Maddie would probably want to perfect the process for Danny before she moves on to trying with Jazz

but that being said, there's no reason that she couldn't try cloning Jazz alongside Danny, if anyone wants to have fun with that concept be my guest!
