Elide Bahijia. - Mr. Bahijia gave me a lesson on Union populaire pour la lib茅ration de la Guadeloupe (Popular Union for the Liberation of Guadeloupe) and the Martinique Independence movement. Those are their flags (the larger one being for Guadeloupe and the red, green, & black being that of Madinina/Martinique). Most members of local independence and cultural movement reject the French Flag 馃嚝馃嚪 and the Colonial flag 馃嚞馃嚨 - Guadalupe like Martinique is an island that served as a former French colony and is now an overseas department of the country.
