ripped trash bags on the front stoop of the scary Beholding-aligned movie theatre in MAGP 5
when MAG 5 was about the trash collectors finding stuff related to a bunch of different fears
this sounds utterly deranged but considering TMAGP is marked as "Season 7" of TMA on the rusty quill website i feel like it has to be somewhat intentional

So full disclosure, I actually listened to episode 7 on Saturday, but this episode had so damn much to it and I got a bit side tracked by a theory that I'm still working on but I really want to get this out before episode 8 comes out.
As usual, if you want to see the continuously updated and reblogged version of my red string board, you can find it here.
Today is Tuesday, 2/27/24. Episode 7 came out 5 days ago on 2/22/24.
“Talkers”
Norris (Voice: Martin?/ Alex)
Episode 1: “Reanimation (Partial) -/- Regret [Email]”. The Stranger? The End? The Dark? The Lonely? The Flesh? Arthur (Nolan?).
Episode 3: "Infection (full body" -/- Arboreal [Journal entry]". The Spiral? (Paranoia? Auditory, visual and olfactory hallucinations) The Lonely? The Corruption. The Flesh? (Callbacks to the Flesh Garden from S5)
Common Themes: Hearing the voice of a dead/ missing loved one?
Chester (Voice: John?/ Jonny)
Episode 1: “Transformation (eyes) -/- Tresspass [chat log]”. Magnus Institute, The Eye. (Involves a forum; the Web?).
Episode 5: "Disappearance (undetermined) -/- Invitation [Internet blog]". The Eye (Movies. Movie name: "Voyeur" "Must be seen to be believed"...). The Web? (Another website?). (Very reminiscent of Mag 110: Creature Feature.) The "poor old guy" at the theater is totally an Eye avatar, right? Kinda gives me "Simon Fairchild when he was first introduced" vibes.
Episode 7: "Agglomeration (miscellany) -/- congregation [email]". The Stranger. The Burried. The Desolation. Possibly all of them if my theory about the items the Volunteers brought in is correct...
Unsure if this is Eye related like the other statements were. This is also the first "Chester" statement where the source material wasn't from a website or blog, which don't have the same expectation of privacy that the sources of the other statements do. Email, though, so still internet related, and this seems to be an open letter rather than personal correspondence, so it still might align with the theme.
Agustus: (rare?)
Episode 4: “Collection (blood) -/- musical [letter]” The End. The Lonely? The Slaughter.
Letter writer thinks passing on his violin might allow a part of himself to live on in his nephew. Very Jonah Magnus of him.
Music teacher hears “faraway music”, then goes crazy and throws himself out of the carriage and dies. Reminiscent of Mag7 and the Piper? The merchant’s wares include dice (Mag 29?). Got the violin from him (took his blood?). Effect of the violin reminiscent to Grifter’s Bone (Mag 42).
(Oliver Bardwell lol very funny guys)
Non-Talkers (?)
Episode 2: "Transformation (full) -/- dysmorphic [video call]". The Spiral? The Flesh. The Stranger. Ink 5oul (avatar/ entity?)
Episode 6: "Injury (needles) -/- intimidation [999 call] "Corruption? The Spiral? The Flesh? The End?
"Needles" reminds me of Michael!Distortion.
Notes and Thoughts:
"It's not like we're dealing with Tape Recorders..." I'm side eying you real hard, Celia. And what's with all of the questions? The "looking for patterns" question is 100% fair but those examples are AWEFULLY SPECIFIC. I wasn't entirely sure I bought the idea that Celia was the same Celia from TMA, but no this is totally her for sure. "DO YOU KNOW WHO JOHN" IS EXCUSE ME? WHAT REAL STUFF?
HILLTOP CENTER BRANCH?!!! 0 managerial or other support from HR; very reminiscent of the weird circumstances surrounding the house on Hilltop Road. Bear skin rug very reminiscent of the Gorilla Skin in TMA S3. The Volunteers remind me of the medical students from Mag34. The email is about events from 2015. This was the same year Gertrude died and John became the Head Archivist in TMA. Why am I not seeing anyone else talk about this?
I have a theory that I was originally going to put in this post but detangling that giant ball of red string entirely is taking too long so I'm just going to put the TL'DR here and maybe make a proper list later if I can ever finish pulling the string on that particular red sweater. Between the items the Volunteers bring in, and the events of the incident itself, what if every single Entity is represented? The gunshots that were heard were the Slaughter. The fire was the Desolation. The person who wrote the email being crushed by all of the items was the Buried. There are a number of artifacts that get listed off that could represent at least one if not multiple Entities (which might be their purpose; considering how many times the fact that the categorization was imperfect got brought up in TMA, it's probably more helpful to view them as a spectrum more than anything else), including some that are very reminiscent of things from specific TMA statements (The bear skin rug -> The Gorilla skin, Old medical equipment -> the syringe in mag 45? The telescope -> Maxwell Rayner was originally Edmond Halley, the Astronomer, etc. etc). So...okay, hear me out: what if this was all part of a ritual, and that's what the "good cause" was? A ritual that involved all of the fears being represented? Sound familiar? Except instead of it being a ritual to start an apocalypse or reshape the world in the image of one or more of the fears, what if it was a ritual to summon something that was associated with all of the fears? Or, rather, what if it was a ritual to summon someone who had been touched by all of the fears? And that's also why so many of the items seem to be analogous to things from statements and events from TMA? Like....maybe I'm wrong entirely. Or maybe I'm right about this being about summoning someone, or something, (maybe someone from TMA? Maybe Celia?), but wrong about it being John who was being summoned. But, again, this incident took place in 2015, which was the same year Gertrude died and John became head Archivist, and I feel like this means something.

I didn't remember doing all that this year !
Thanks a lot to everyone who's been following me through this journey. 2023 was one of the worst year of my life but also one of the best weirdly so let's hope 2024 will be better for everyone ♥
below the cut I'll put the link and explanations for each edit
1/ The Moonlight/Moonwood Tales concept : Based on the lore that came with the werewolves pack, I imagined a story that would explain everything between the werewolves, vampires and spellcasters. I actually prepared a plan for season 1 ... Maybe I'll post it next year ?
2/ The stories I planned for this year but so far, only Melodia is still going. DH3 will start next year sadly and Another Side has been cancelled because of lack of time and a bad computer.
3/ Aïssa in the city : a special photoshoot/lookbook with some items I love and also a small interview including infos about DH2 and 3. It's also a way for me to show more about Aïssa's modeling life. The title is also a reference to the upcoming spin-off about her ...
4/ The DH3 women and the DH3 gang because I want you to love them when the story will start !
5/ The EDGEWAVE fest organised by @aniraklova ♥ It surely was my favourite event this year ! What an awesome idea it was and a lot of people did amazing stuff during 2 weeks ! You saved our summer for sure ! I used Candy Bher as a reference to Another Side and MOON who's a character in DH3 ...
6/ Toxic Don ! A potential new Another Side story I've been thinking about years now ... It would be fun !
7/ The Ghostface DH3 edits : It's a reference to DH3 and Scream of course; the plot will be a tribute to Wes Craven actually !
8/ The Melodia musical video part : it actually was awesome and fun to create but it took me an entire month just for this little video. I decided to stick to a more boring regular way to post this story. I also don't have a lot of readers so far so I guess they will forgive me. I still see it as one of my biggest achievement here though so check it if you can ^^ I love how the episode turns into a musical movie
9/ @windbrook's Slashed Challenge : it was one of my favourite CAS challenge of all time ^^ I'm a huge slasher fan ! It was perfect for simblreen and people created awesome characters and stories !
10/ A makeover of the Three Sages that comes with Realm of Magic : Ana Mae is actually an original OCs, they all should appear in DH4 and 5 ... Morgyn should be very important in DH4 actually ...
11/ URBZ Mag DH3 edition ! Get the girls part here and the boys part there ♥ I love doing fake interviews and mag covers ! Sorry not sorry
12/ Valentines day ♥ My favourite is the one with the Destiny, Leïla and Aïssa because it's funny and feminist, what this trio is together ! They surely had a great night that day, it's also supposed to happen after Melodia so ...
13 / Franck and Madame Sophie : the first drag sims I create ! I wanted one for the Aïssa spin-off so I guess it will be them :)
14/ Recent edits I like : Maria Perron for @birdietrait's coven (I love her and I'd love to make a little story about her) / An other Another Side new idea focused on Venessa Jeong / Destiny's last portrait for the ocs associations
15/ My favourite gif coming from Another Side Episode 1 : I think it's the best ending for this episode as it shows all the plots and times together. Everytime I see it I want to get back to the story ...
Tagging @trippisimmies @badwoohoo @bobnewbie @uwutrait @frzr-bunny @windbrook @eslanes @budgie2budgie @nefarrilou @kashisun @birdietrait @castawavy @agena87 @fangs-trait @peonypyxels @barbieaiden @void-imp @ladybugsimblr @xldkx @nilonne @bakersimmer @whyhellosims @mangosimoothie @djservo @sea-cross @surely-sims @hufflepuff-sim @aniraklova @therichantsim @wolfavens @cinamun @alelelesimz @moontaart @pralinesims @cyberth0t @squea @helloavocadooo @cross-design @rebouks @crazy-lazy-elder-sims and anyone else who'd like to join ♥ feel free to tag me or ignore this as well ^^ (Also, check out these blogs, they're all great !)

💙 nsfw ahead !! pretty filthy, just a warning !! 💙
all the different eras/variations of peter maximoff are so...
.。*゚🗲.*.。 ゚*..🗲。*゚.。*゚🗲.*.。 ゚*..🗲。*゚.。*゚🗲.*.。 ゚*..🗲。*゚
💙 dofp era - he's so all talk until you take your shirt off. jerks it to 70's lewd mags he keeps stashed in a stolen set of speakers. fooled around with girls a handful of times. horny like a rabbit. went all the way once. it was so awkward he didn't finish. invited you over to legitimately hang out. thinks you talk too slow. plays an alice cooper record. infodumps about it. keeps zipping in and out of the basement for whatever reason. mostly to impress you with his speed. you're both horny. you both think the other is cute. you keep droppin' hints that you wanna fuck. he pretends he doesn't notice. either because he wants to play it cool, or because he's nervous. or both. he's distracted playing space invaders until you call his name. turns around, you're lifting your shirt over your head. it's like your titties bounce in slow motion. he's on you in a flash. his kisses are hasty and uncoordinated. wears a condom. humps like a bunny. fast, shallow thrusts. whimpers when he cums. wants to do it again five minutes later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
💙 apocalypse era - he's so date at the boardwalk on the other side of the country. rides the ferris wheel with you. offers to hold you close if you're too scared of heights. his dick gets really hard when your hand touches his leg. wins you the biggest prize playing carnival games. doesn't have to cheat, he's mastered all of them. pulls all the stops to win your heart. loves the thrill of the chase. takes you to an arcade. presses himself against you to "teach you how to play." but you're only playing galaga. sets up a romantic, moonlight picnic at the end of the night. would make out with you for hours. keeps asking if you're okay. would get you anything you wanted. eats you out on the picnic blanket. vibrating tongue makes you cum again and again. insists he doesn't need to get off. you fuck him under moonlight anyway. it's filthy and passionate. some of the best sex you'll ever have. so good you think you're in love with him. he'll definitely take you out again. would totally bail if you wanted a serious relationship, though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
💙 dark phoenix era - he's so regrets never settling down with a partner. past his prime. you used to be best friends. fucked around once or twice. nothing came of it. he hasn't seen you in years. melts into a puddle when he sees you again. you're mature and more confident in yourself. he thinks it's sexy as fuck. awkwardly offers to take you out to dinner. the dinner's too fancy. he doesn't feel comfortable at all. and neither do you. he's a lot more patient. lets you do all the talking. you keep asking him about himself, but he gives you half-truths. "oh, me? i'm great. lots of fans. pretty famous. all the kids think i'm their hero. gets hard bein' the best x-man, y'know? lotsa pressure." he hopes this makes you laugh. it does. fuck it. he might fall in love with you. sneaks you into his room at the mansion like you're teenagers again. kisses you like he hasn't kissed anyone in years. because he hasn't. eats your pussy like he's weaving careful threads with his tongue. really takes the time to taste you. fucks you so slow and so deep. realizes how much he missed you. thinks about knocking you up since he never had a kid. nah. he'd probably make a shitty dad anyway. insists he's in love with you. can't break his old habits, though. ghosts you again. but thinks about you 24/7.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
💙 wandavision - he's so earthbound incense to cover up the smell of weed. invited you over just to "hang out 'n talk." plays a red hot chili peppers song and assumes you don't know it. says "just throw that shit wherever" when there's too much junk on the couch for you to sit. ogles your ass every time you get up. makes some half-hearted attempt at getting to know you. asks about your favorite show or movie. puts it on. barely watches it. keeps trying to sneak his arm over your shoulder. asks you shit like "does it smell alright in here?" somehow you end up in his lap anyway. Pulls his shorts halfway down his thighs. lets you do all the work, riding his dick. comes up with some poor excuse for not using a condom. he's bigger than you expect, but not huge. a touch above average. the fucking is pretty steamy. but he's a big talker. this either charms you, or makes you roll your eyes. he smacks your ass a lot. insists he won't cum inside. he does. orders you doordash after. forgets you asked for no ice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
💙 bonus: this fucker, also apocalypse era- he's so constant sarcastic remarks. blatantly stares at your tits all the time. cracks jokes and gets lowkey disappointed if you don't laugh. super into you because one: he thinks you're cute. two: you're the only person who doesn't make fun of his hair. #daddyissues. temper problem. kind of an asshole. nicer to you than most, though. takes you out to the movies. doesn't bother asking what kinda movie you wanna see. talks up a storm the whole time. you never get a word in. doesn't superspeed you anywhere. he drives, and he's a shitty driver. dinner with him is probably cheap takeout. eats it with you in the car. knows almost every artist on the radio. turns it up to full volume and sings along off key. somehow you end up sucking his dick in the back seat. it's girthy and tangy on your tongue. tries to fuck you in his car, but you're both packed like sardines. he's so rough and filthy. loves playing with your tits. drops you off at home and says he'll call you tomorrow. he doesn't.

We went from “still just getting to know each other” to full on fanfic courtesy people mag in exactly 14 days. Do you think this could mean it will be short lived? Seems to be moving fast.
I don’t know what is going to happen because I don’t know what her goal is beyond simple publicity for the movie and 1989 tv (and just in general being seen dating a man which is important for her image and for selling music) and we’ll have to wait to see how it goes. I still stand by it likely to be short lived but whether that means November or March, your guess is good as mine. I think I’m currently leaning more in the March direction as being most likely, but it could be tomorrow or it could be forever or whatever she said in Blank Space.
In case anyone’s keeping count, I also have pretty much settled on all of this being well planned out in advance, including his appearance at the July KC tour in the first place. I wouldn’t be surprised if it had been planned for a very long time, just like Matty was.
1) have them linked publicly (for Travis it was the concert and friendship bracelet digits story). Sit back and watch the reaction, and give it a bit of a push in the right direction. With joe this was all done retroactively, after their relationship was “accidentally” leaked we found out they hung out in Oct. With Matty this was done over the course of late 2022-early 2023.
2) soft launch it by announcing an appearance ahead of time to get all eyes on it, while planting stories that they’ve hung out a few times, to establish a timeline back into the summer (august 1ish). Have her publicly meet his mom and get her approval. Again, with joe this was done retroactively, where we found out she had pined over him all summer and their anniversary was sept 28, and we’ve even now got a hook up on Aril 29. For Matty, she met his mom in stage 1), then this stage was her announcing the break up on Matty’s bday, and then planting stories that they were dating, that he’d go to Nash and there’d be PDA, and then stories that she thought maybe he was the one who got away, and had quietly been in love with him for almost a decade.
3) launch, but keep it casual. There’s still time to back out if things go poorly. People have time to get used to it and talk about “are they or aren’t they” serious, and you can control the narrative via media outlets and inside sources to set people up the way you want them to lean, all without even having them seen together more than once or twice. Set up a casual photo of them that seems to taken without their knowledge in a private moment. (Balcony with joe, private club with Matty, after party in KC with Travis.) This is far as she got with Matty then she cut her losses. Or I guess you could argue they had spilled into step 4). It’s a spectrum. With joe, again this was done retroactively but also the summer of 2017, no one knew how serious they were until secret sessions/rep came out.
4) hard launch during movie opening weekend. WE ARE HERE. For Matty this was probably supposed to happen during speak now release. But who knows. For joe it was reputation’s release.
5) Optional: push things hard until enough people seem to be generally getting tired of it. I assume this is next with Travlor. No idea how long this will last. Days or weeks I think. With joe this wasn’t a big deal because of the privacy narrative. No one could get tired of something they never saw (though they could get bored of it which was ok at that stage but boredom is the opposite of what she wants now.) With Travis I think this stage will be more of an important thing. If you go back to Calvin, this stage was most of their relationship.
6) cool things down so then people talk about “are they or aren’t they still together?” This was a constant with joe. I think this was just at the end for Calvin and the answer was they weren’t still together.
7) relaunch so everyone is excited to see them again. Steps 6-7 happened a lot with Joe naturally because of the privacy narrative. Will travlor get to this stage? I think so but it will be much accelerated. Like nothing for a week and people will wonder. Then, bang, she’s there again. Something like that.
8) ongoing: periodically lightly escalate the seriousness of the relationship. We’re already in this stage and it will continue. There is current chatter about her house shopping in KC. The usual (she actually BOUGHT a house one time for a man. And remember her Scottish castle, and how she and joe were constantly buying a London house for 6 years including furniture shopping right before they broke up?) And there will be constant talk of settling down and getting engaged.
9) and on and on until it ends. We could zoom through these stage over the next 2 weeks, or in seemingly endless loop of stages 6-9 for two years. No way to know until it ends or they get married, have 10 kids and teach them how to dream.
10) optional: black swan event. All bets are off.
I think it’s likely she’ll go to a couple of more games, and be seen spending as much time with him as reasonably possible before her next tour date. They need to “get to know each other” and “enjoy this fun honeymoon stage while they’re both smitten” while she can. Keep in mind her SA tour section is only 3 weeks long, and he could even potentially go to Argentina on his off week, so that’s not really enough time for the “their busy schedules were too much” excuse. Possible but you know not as likely. Then she’s off for for a couple of months again. Imagine the fun they can have over Christmas. We’ll skip the island vacation around new years or star-studded New Year’s party this time because he’ll still be playing football, so imagine her at playoff games. She’s getting literal millions of dollars in almost free publicity from this, and no matter how many people want to say she’s getting negative attention or being over-exposed or whatever, I don’t see it that way at all. It’s going very very well. All for the price of a few hours of her time and some jet fuel. So, like I didn’t see any reason for her to end it with joe because he was serving his purpose, I see no reason for this to end. Until she has reached her unknown-to-us goal.
There is a lot I can’t see or know, so these are just my best guesses based on what we’ve seen so far and what I see on their schedule for the next few months, and of course, my belief that this relationship not real.

Book of Revelations (And A Side of Coffee)
Tumblr media
Summary: You love Sam. He loves you. But both of you are too chicken to do anything about your feelings, until matchmaker Dean Winchester (aka Cupid) steps in.
Characters: Sam Winchester x F!Reader, Dean Winchester.
Words: 1.3K.
Warnings: pure unfiltered fluff, some mentions of sex.
A/N: Formerly a Patreon exclusive. Beta: @princessmisery666 but all the genera bullshit is entirely mine. While likes are gold, feedback is golden. Please support our content creators by sharing our work.
Tumblr media
You drop a handful of chopped onions into the pot on the stove, giving the bubbling liquid a quick stir, when you hear Dean’s voice sound behind you.
“Hey,” he starts, “what would you say is your perfect date?”
You rotate on your heel, narrowing your eyes at the older Winchester standing in the doorway. “Are we talking about some Miss Congeniality deal or like... a genuine date? With a person?”
“What Miss Congeniality deal?”
“Y’know, the bit with Cheryl,  April 25th,” you explain with a little laugh, but the quizzical and confused look still on your friend’s face is not lost on you. You let out a little huff. “C’mon De, I thought you’d seen it.”
“I might’ve stumbled across it once or twice,” he defends, “but I don’t commit every second of a film to memory.”
“Oh please. What about the All Saints’ Day series? You can quote all of them off by heart.”
“That’s because they’re classics.”
“Are you saying Miss Congeniality isn’t a classic?”
“It has its perks-”
“Like Sandra Bullock?”
“She’s in that movie?” Dean laughs, giving himself away.
“Jackass,” you shake your head as you allow a small smile to break across your  lips. “Anyway, why do you ask?”
“Just curious,” Dean shrugs.
“Have you been reading my Cosmo mag on the can again?”
“Well, excuse me for wanting to find out how to achieve the perfect orgasm,” he reacts with fake offense.
You scoff mockingly. “Did you come across a map on how to find the G-spot?”
Dean’s face drops. “I’m serious, just answer the damn question.”
“Ooh, I hit a nerve,” you laugh, but Dean doesn’t share your sentiment. “Well, um, I guess, it’d be nice to go to one of those vintage book shops, y’know, the ones with the little cafes inside.”
Dean nods, and you reluctantly continue.
“Spend a couple of hours talking about our favourite novels over a coffee or two.”
“What about after that?”
“Like, sex you mean?”
“Yeah.”
You screw up your nose. “I wouldn’t put out on the first date.”
“Not even on your perfect date?” he asks as you shake your head. “What if it was with Sam?” Dean cajoles, flashing you a wink.
“Dean!”
It’s no secret that you’ve been harbouring feelings for the younger Winchester for a while now— except maybe to Sam, and Dean takes whatever opportunity he can get to tease you for not making a move. You’re far too shy for that.
“C’mon, you wouldn’t want to come back here and y’know?” Dean wiggles his eyebrows.
“Why’d you always have to be so crass?” you tut with a small roll of your eyes.
“Jeez, you two really are made for each other,” Dean mutters under his breath, but you don’t hear him, your attention already back on the sweet smelling bolognese cooking away in the saucepan.
-
“Meet me at Bradbury Books, 8pm.”
That’s all the instruction you get from Dean a week later. You reply asking if it’s related to a case you’ve not been made privy to yet, but he fails to respond, leaving you in a curious state for the rest of the day. What could Dean possibly want with you at a bookstore, of all places?
You trundle inside the quaint little shop at 7:56, eyes darting back and forth through the aisles, trying to see if he’s hidden away between them, to no avail. Eventually you give up, walking down to the cluster of tables tucked neatly away at the back of the store. A few delicate red and pink decorations adorn the wall furthest from you, but you think nothing of it. But your attention is finally drawn to the handful of balloons with the words, “Happy Valentines Day,” emblazoned across them in swirly white writing that softly sway to the steady hum of the A/C.
Of course. Today is February 14th.
Great. Always a joy being single at this time of year.
The cafe section is practically empty except for the cashier leant over the counter— head buried in an extremely well-read paperback version of The Shining. Then there’s a couple by the window staring lovingly at each other over two steaming mugs of coffee and… Sam.
Wait, Sam?
There’s a closed copy of The Marvelous Land of Oz on the table next to him, while his hands are curled around a cup of what you assume must be herbal tea from the green liquid, almost murky against the stark contrast of the white ceramic. You’re sidetracked momentarily, thoughts drifting to fantasies of those large hands on you, pawing at your ample flesh. They’re so big that they easily overlap where they meet around the sides of the dainty cup, the fingers from his left hand entwined within the fingers of his right.
He doesn’t notice you until you’re almost at the table, eyes widening when he finally looks up, confusion etched on his features.
Your name oozes from his lips as he questions softly, “What are you doing here?”
“Dean asked me to meet him,” you explain, sliding into the seat opposite. You suddenly feel incredibly underdressed— your ripped jeans and oversized t-shirt are perfect to meet up with Dean to discuss case details, but if you’d known Sam would be here too, you would’ve made more of an effort.
“That’s weird, Dean asked me to meet him too.” Sam leans back in his chair, thumbing inside his pocket for something before pulling his cell free. “Lemme give him a call.”
“Maybe he’s just late?” you offer as Sam puts the device to his ear, waiting for his brother to pick up.
“Oh, hey, where are you?” Sam asks Dean, placing the phone onto the table as he presses the speaker icon, giving you a chance to listen in on the conversation too.
“Just at a bar over in Burr Oak,” Dean tells them. “It’s 2-4-1 cocktails night and there’s a bachelorette party that’s just walked in. One of the bridesmaids is in clear need of my assistance,” he adds with a knowing laugh.
“But you asked us to meet you here at 8,” Sam replies tersely.
The line is silent for a moment before you hear Dean chuckle. “Oh yeah, about that,” he elaborates. “Figured you two should spend Valentine’s together considering you’re both head over heels in love with each other.”
You almost choke on your own tongue at Dean’s words, feeling Sam’s eyes trained on you as your entire body flushes hot at the admission.
Dean has to be joking, right? Sam? In love with you?
“Dude, what are you-” Sam starts at the same time as you try to interject. “No Dean, don’t be silly-”
“Hey!” Dean shouts down the line. “Cut it out, both of you. I’ve seen the longing looks you give each other, and all that awkward small talk. God, it’s exhausting. Just admit your feelings and fuck all that sexual tension out like adults, okay?”
“Dean,” Sam protests through gritted teeth, quickly flashing an apologetic smile toward the couple by the window who catch Dean’s crude and less than subtle attempts to bring you together.
“Look, enjoy a cup of coffee and talk about old books, or whatever it is you two do, and then the Bunker is all yours,” Dean continues. “Even though you both said no sex on the first date, I really think ya would make an exception for the other. Just don’t do it in the kitchen, y’hear? That’s just unsanitary.”
The line suddenly goes dead. Both of you sit embarrassed in silence momentarily, not wanting to look at each other until he clears his throat and you glance up through thick eyelashes.
Sam smiles, dimples in full effect. “So, I guess he asked about your perfect date too then, huh?”

#SOYCOMOQUIEROSER: DIEGO LUNA
7. ¿A qué huele tu coche? Depende, jajaja.
A no estar presente. Yo no tenía ese miedo hasta que nacieron.
16. ¿Qué le deseas a México? Empatía, paz y conciliación entre los ciudadanos.

English translation:
#I AM AS I WANNA BE: DIEGO LUNA
Check all the confessions that the actor made to us
Moi Mag - 2018
1. What film and what book do you recommend? Well, I've been watching only children's movies for a while, hahahah, but I would recommend Captain Fantastic and the book Tomb Song, by Julián Herbert.
2. What are you good fot, that is different to what you do? Well, I love cooking and it's something I dedicate a lot of time to, but I have a lot to learn.
3. What has been the most difficult thing for you to learn in life? Saying no. Many times I find myself in situations where I say, “how easy it would have been to say no from the beginning,” and I always end up being a pushover. My friends say that my “no” is fractured.
4. The perfect taco is… Phew! The one with a handmade tortilla, because what's inside, well, I'm not going to choose, cause the wonder is that we have so much diversity; but if the tortilla is made by hand, it is always better.
5. How many times have you had your heart broken? Wow, several. Very well (broken) once, because later you learn. But that one time, in little pieces, like those very thin glasses. It is a rich exercise to go for it, to dare, not to get into it with fear.
6. Did you learn something? That in relationships there is a wonderful and magical thing, that's when things happen it seems like it's a work of magic; but if you try, fight and hold on, the end is always catastrophic. I held on for a long time and paid the consequences.
7. What does your car smell like? It depensa hahahah. The week that my children are with me, to something called slime, which drives them crazy and it smells horrible, like detergent and glue. So, that's what it smells like every other week.
8. What defect would you remove yourself? Many, many. Especially in my work, I am very controlling, very apprehensive, I would like to know how to let go. But I have many other defects.
9. Favorite superhero: Deadpool
10. Which rules do your children always disobey? Errrhmm, not waking me up in the morning when I have to work at night.
11. Favorite swearing: I use almost all of them, hahahah, I don't have a preference. But the one I use the most would be… "pinche" (it's an adjective and it was translated as "damn" or "fucking"...).
12. Your worst habit: Smoking. It's something I want to quit soon, although I haven't dared to do it yet, and I eat a lot, I'm a glutton.
13. What are you epically bad at? Karaoke. I can't do it. It's not the singing thing, I even sang in a movie... it just gives me incredible stage fright. It is a matter of exposure, of vulnerability. Almost nothing makes me feel ashamed, but I can't sing karaoke even when I'm very drunk.
14. What question bothers you when they ask you? Whether I'm dating someone or not. Moreover because they are getting more and more clever in the way they ask. It seems like it has to do with something else and, suddenly, you say, oh, bastard! If I answer that I will tell if I have a girlfriend or not. I mean, it's not that serious either.
15. Your biggest fear: Not being able to be there accompanying my children in that process of understanding this place where they live and grow. To not being present. I didn't have that fear until they were born.
16. What do you wish for México? Empathy, peace and agreement among its citizens.

I am going to watch all of the hunger games
Before the first movie:
I kinda know the plot but not really, girl gets chosen to fight weird tradition thing by a pink drag queen, older sister is like “fuck no” and some other shit happens.
My expectations for the rating: 7/10, really good but only the first movie so not amazing.
During first movie:
Why is this weird posh British (I think) person in pink drag?? Beauty full drag tho
It's not drag??
I didn't know Josh Hutcherson was in it T-T
Why is the solution to war to send a bunch of teenagers to fight to the death?? Instead of just resolving the issue like adults and talking.
The apartment Katniss is staying in is ugly as fuck.
Haymitch is kinda hot.
KATNISS DONT MESS WITH THE FUCKING BEES
Josh Hutcherson is also a bad actor..
I love Rue so much I just want to adopt her
NO RUE WTF
Why would they add two victors?? That's just dumb as fuck, it ruins the whole point of the games.
After the first movie:
I hated this. (/pos)
I Loved it but hated it cuz of Rue.
8/10 Better then I expected for a first movie.
Before catching fire:
I have no idea at all what this one is about sooo
During catching fire:
ooooo Kathrine? Kathleen? KATNISS (I forgot her name) has PTSD
Who tf is named *snow*???
NO MAGS
MAGS IS GONNA DIE AINT SHE
SHE DIDDDDD
Johanna X Katniss 4 life
After catching fire:
AMAZING DKDNDKD
THE GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION AND THE UPRISING AND JUST ARGHHH (/pos)
9/10, 1 point off because I really liked Mags and also cliffhanger
before Mockingjay part 1:
I have no idea what will happen other then a continuation of the last movie
during mockingjay part 1:
JOSH IS DEAD HAHA
NO WRONG DUDEEE
ITS THE SONGGGG GUYSSSS
after mockingjay part 1:
Pretty good, I didn’t peticularly like it though. It was kinda bland.
7/10 still pretty good but nothing really happened
Before Mockingjay part 2:
I really hope this one is better then the last but yk
during mockingjay part 2:
KATNISS IS DEAD??
NEVERMINDSD
KATNISS IS DEAD??? (Again)
NEVERMINDSD (Again)
team Finnick for life, screw Peeta and Gale
FINNICK DIED
NOOO PRIMMM
WHAT THE FUCK PRIMROSEEEE
THEY CANT KEEP DOING THIS TOO MEEEE
After mockingjay part 2:
Amazing movie oml much better than part 1
PRIMMMM
8/10, it was hard to follow and keep focus on but it was a really good film, 1 point taken off for Prim dying, that was just unnessecary.
overall:
8/10, amazing franchise but mockingjay part one really dragged down its rating.
great movies, very hard to stay focused on. I had to be doing something else while watching or else I would lose interest.
before snakebirds and songs:
I think it’ll be good
I know it’s a prequel
During snakebirds and songs:
WHO is this Wish.com Draco malfoy??
Holy shit Lucy grey…
HOLY SHIT LUCY GREY!!
Holy shit Lucy grey’s voice..
HOLY SHIT LUCY GREY’S GUITAR
Turns out I have a thing for southern accents.
after the ballad of songbirds and snakes:
OH MY GOD
I just, it’s amazing.
the powerful message underlying in it, everything about it.
I started tearing up in the theatre and I am going to sob into my pillow once I am done writing this. (/pos)
The fact that, that is happening in real life right now. The villain of a fiction story is happening right now in front of us. Just hurts so much.
And that there will be people who watched that movie and walked out of it all happy, as if nothing like that is happening in our world.
this movie made me better, and the direction was amazing.
ranking:
10/10, I don’t think I’ve ever given a movie a solid 10/10 before but this movie deserves it.
will/would I read the books?
probably, I think the movies were great and if the movies were a good representation of the books then I believe the books will be really good

Top 7 Leprechauns Onscreen
Tumblr media
St. Patrick’s Day is one of the odder holidays on the calendar. Ostensibly, it is a celebration of Ireland itself; a tribute to its culture, history, and folklore alike. However, at least outside of Ireland - such as in the United States, where the filthy American swine writing this happens to come from - it seems to be treated more as just a day of partying. It’s an excuse to booze up, eat merrily, and wear lots and lots of green. That’s not bad in and of itself, but it emblematic of how commercialized things can get, I suppose; I have no idea how the date is celebrated in other places around the world, including Ireland, mind you.
Again, filthy American swine, that’s me. 😛
Nothing speaks to all this better than the treatment of arguably Ireland’s most famous figure of folklore and legend: the leprechaun. Leprechauns have become mascots for Ireland and St. Patrick’s Day as a whole; a lot of people probably don’t even recognize or know the actual legends behind these little fairy shoemakers and their crocks of gold. However, they have become just as popular and recognizable as other holiday icons, such as Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. They are the fanciful embodiment of Ireland, in popular culture, and for better or worse, they are as popular as they are whimsical. Ever since I was a child, I was fascinated by stories about leprechauns; something about these little spritely creatures in their green coats, cobbling shoes and playing tricks, guarding heaps of treasure, just stuck in my imagination in a lot of ways. Part of this may be that I am actually a large part Irish myself, and I’ve looked into the legends and songs about these fair folk with great interest. Of course, with this fascination comes exposure to another medium: the screen. Leprechauns have appeared numerous times in films and on television, and it’s easy to say that these treatments have done just as much for their reputation and popularity as anything else. I thought it would be fun, this St. Patrick’s Day, to cover some of my favorite interpretations of these strange creatures from movies and TV. I’ve decided to make this a brief Top 7, partially because it’s hard to sort things out after that number…but also because, hey, if we’re celebrating and chatting about “the luck of the Irish,” might as well use the “lucky number seven” as our guideline, eh? So, without further ado…here are My Top 7 Screen Portrayals of Leprechauns!
Tumblr media
7. The Leprechauns’ Christmas Gold.
We’re starting off this countdown with a weird one, folks. If you haven’t heard of this somewhat obscure holiday feature, I wouldn’t blame you. This half-hour special was the creation of Rankin/Bass; a company most well-known for their various Christmas cartoons, such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and The Year Without a Santa Claus. “The Leprechauns’ Christmas Gold” was one of their final holiday creations, released in 1981…and you can tell they were REALLY struggling to come up with new ideas for such things. The special is a bizarre hybrid of Christmas cartoon and St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Starring Art Carney as Blarney Kilakilarney (yes, really), the story focuses on the troubles a family of leprechauns face when a wicked banshee, known as Old Mag the Hag, tries to steal all their gold. Mag, you see, needs to have gold in her hands by Christmas morning, or else she will be destroyed, transformed into nothing but a puddle of tears. Mag is imprisoned in a magic pine tree for her evil ways, but a hundred years later, a young cabin boy named Dinty Doyle (played by Broadway-bred actor Ken Jennings) digs up the tree. Mag escapes, summoning a storm and leaving Dinty shipwrecked on the island where all the leprechauns live, and now he and the Little People must try to cooperate to defeat Mag and return home. The special isn’t that great, to be honest; it’s got lots of problems, and it’s obviously quite peculiar. However, I have a soft spot for it: I watch it almost every year. Something about it is fun and comforting, even if it isn’t necessarily the best of Rankin/Bass’ work, and it’s always stuck with me. It’s just my kind of weird and silly; if you think it sounds interesting, consider looking it up and giving it a watch yourself.
Tumblr media
6. Finian’s Rainbow.
This colorful 1968 feature - based on the play of the same name - is an early success of legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. It’s weird to think that only a few years after this movie was released he would go on to debut “The Godfather,” really. The film stars Fred Astaire as con-artist Finian McLonergan: an Irish immigrant to America, who plans to try and make his way in the world via a crock of gold he stole from a leprechaun. The leprechaun, Og - played by Tommy Steele - is slowly turning human, for the longer a leprechaun goes without their gold, the less of a leprechaun they really are. Finian buries the treasure near Fort Knox, of all places, where a series of magical misadventures take place, involving a racist Senator, quarreling farmers, and several musical numbers. The movie is mostly fun, somewhat farcical, and highly satirical…but there is one stumbling block I have to point out: the aforementioned racist Senator gets punished for his wicked ways at one point by being turned into an African American himself. No, the Senator is not played by an African American actor, so…yeah…you can probably guess the awkwardness that arises as a result of that. It’s an unfortunate element in an otherwise great picture, and the main reason I don’t feel I can rank this in the top five. If you think you’d have difficulty watching this movie due to that issue, I wouldn’t blame you…but if there’s one thing this film teaches, it’s the importance of an open mind and an understanding of how times change. That, and that leprechauns are just as nimble on the dance floor when they’re human height as they are when tiny.
Tumblr media
5. Wearing of the Grin.
This classic Looney Tunes cartoon is another favorite of mine around St. Patrick’s Day, and - being only about seven-and-a-half minutes in length - it’s an easy viewing for anybody. This short stars Porky Pig, who ends up lost in the middle of Ireland during a thunderstorm. The porcine traveler decides to take shelter inside an old castle, ignoring warning signs to “Beware of the Leprechauns!” This decision quickly comes back to bite Porky in his curly tail, when he ends up being victimized by a pair of leprechauns - O’Pat and O’Mike - who, believing he’s after their pot of gold, force Porky to wear The Green Shoes. This doesn’t seem so bad at first, but it turns out the shoes are alive, and as long as Porky wears them, he’ll be forced to dance an Irish jig non-stop. Porky manages to escape the fiendish footwear, but the shoes themselves give chase, determined to continue the punishment. It’s a typically silly, slapstick bit of goofiness, but there’s also a sense of atmosphere and danger to it you wouldn’t expect, and the visuals get more and more absurd the longer the short goes on, making it quite a feast for the eyes. It’s a hilarious and creative piece of Chuck-Jones-born buffoonery; exactly what a Looney Tunes fan would want for St. Patty’s.
Tumblr media
4. Luck of the Irish (2001).
I actually am aware of two films with this title. The first was a 1948 feature, which - by all accounts - has nothing to do with the one we’re talking about here. I sadly have not seen that movie yet (although I would very much like to), so if you’re familiar with it, let me know what you think. For now, let’s focus on our actual topic: this 2001 TV film was made for the Disney Channel. As most people may tell you, Disney Channel movies tend to be hit or miss; some of them are actually quite a good time, considering the low budgets many of them have to work with, while others are…frankly rather painful to sit through. This one, I feel, is in the former category, and it’s actually developed a bit of a cult following for good reason. The story focuses on a young lad named Kyle Johnson, who seems to always have good fortune thanks to a lucky gold coin he wears around his neck. When the coin is stolen, however, not only does Kyle find bad luck following him wherever he goes, but he starts to undergo some strange physical transformations: he starts to grow shorter, his hair turns red, his ears become pointed, etc. It’s ultimately revealed that Kyle is actually half-leprechaun, and the one who stole the coin is a wicked fairy-man by the name of Seamus McTiernen (played by, of all people, Timothy Omundsen). Seamus is trying to steal all the leprechauns’ gold from around the world to become King of the Leprechauns; it’s now up to Kyle to stop him…via a basketball game. OF COURSE! A CLASSIC MANEUVER! PATTON HIMSELF NE’ER HAD BETTER STRATEGY! (pauses) Yeah, like I said, this film is wacky. But it’s a good kind of wacky; if it sounds up your alley, give it a look-see.
Tumblr media
3. The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns.
While not received well at the time of its release, this 1999 TV miniseries has since gained a cult following and much more acclaim. Personally, I love it. The story is essentially an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet,” but with an Irish flair. The tale begins when an American entrepreneur, Jack Woods, goes to Ireland for a vacation in the countryside. He soon finds out that his holiday home is frequently visited by the Little People. It turns out the leprechauns are engaged in a feud with the fairies (or the pixies, rather, since leprechauns typically are a sort of fairy). This becomes a problem when the fairy princess, Jessica, falls in love with a young leprechaun named Mickey. Chaos ensues as a result of the tryst between these star-crossed lovers, causing the feud to escalate into an all-out war. At the same time, Jack has to deal with some troublesome affairs of the heart all his own, as he becomes infatuated with a lady named Kathleen. Eventually, the two love stories collide, only heightening the stakes. The miniseries combines many elements of Irish folklore and myth together in its runtime, and treats these elements faithfully while at the same time making various changes to the concepts for its own purposes. It also features a great cast, including some rather surprising performers, such as Whoopi Goldberg. While not as well-known as some of the other items on this list, it’s well-worth checking out.

2. Lucky Charms.
Well, you can’t talk about leprechauns without bringing up this classic cereal and its mascot, can you? I remember loving Lucky Charms as a kid…which is funny because, the last time I tasted it as an adult, the flavor…ah…left much to be desired, to put it in the least offensive terms. Looking back, I think the primary reason I loved this cereal so much came from the TV commercials, starring Lucky the Leprechaun. The advertisements for this children’s breakfast staple have a long and interesting history behind them on their own terms, but the basic formula has always remained the same: Lucky is an eccentric little leprechaun, whose greatest treasure is not a crock of gold, but instead a bowl full of Lucky Charms. In the universe of the commercials, the marshmallows in the cereal actually give him different magical abilities he can use to his advantage, as he tricks and escapes his ever-persistent pursuers, who yearn to steal his delicious(?) frosted oats. Unlike many leprechauns in fables and folklore, Lucky - while occasionally and suitably mischievous - isn’t a malicious character in any way; if anything, he’s just trying to escape from those darn kids that never leave him alone! He’s friendly, playful, and sometimes can even be a hero…as far as the thirty-second-to-a-minute-long commercials he’s in will allow, anyway. It’s no surprise this cereal was and remains so popular; the idea of the great chase is an indelible concept, the magic and whimsy of the visuals and storytelling always allow for creative fun, and the charm of a leprechaun character was certainly a lucky break for advertisers. (pauses) Yeah, that was a bit forced, I’m sorry. Bottom line, it’s telling that, even to this day, if you say “leprechaun,” more people will say something about Lucky Charms than arguably anything else.

1. Darby O’Gill and the Little People.
I have a theory that every person, particularly Disney fans, has that one live-action Disney movie that they love which most other people seem to forget about. For me, that movie is “Darby O’Gill and the Little People.” The film focuses on the many misadventures of an old Irish storyteller, the titular Darby O’Gill. The grand old timer is a sort of “frienemy” to the King of the Leprechauns himself, Brian Connors. When Darby is in danger of losing his job, King Brian decides to help…by kidnapping Darby and forcing him to stay forever in his underground palace. (It’s the thought that counts, I guess.) Darby soon turns the tables on the King, though, and instead ends up kidnapping HIM, and refuses to let him go back to his kingdom until Brian grants him three wishes. (Keep your Aladdin jokes to yourself, please.) Top it off with Darby’s daughter falling in love with a young farmhand (played by Sean Connery, of all people), hijinks with the town bully, and the creepy appearances of a mysterious Banshee, and it’s wily shenanigans all around. The film is totally over-the-top, and absolutely plays up to Irish stereotypes more than anything else, but that’s honestly part of the fun: it’s got a campy sense of humor about itself, but it also has a lot of real magic, heart, and even a sense of prevailing danger. It feels like an old Irish fairy legend brought to life, which is fitting since the Disney team actually took inspiration from a bunch of old Irish fairy legends in crafting the script. There’s even an episode of the old Disneyland TV show, which acts as a sort of “mockumentary,” showing Walt meeting Darby and the Little People and learning all the folklore about Brian and his fellow imps. (That’s pretty cool, too, by the way; check it out if you can find it.) The film is probably most well-known for its special effects, most of which are still REALLY impressive, even to this day; heck, even if you know how they were done, you still find it hard to see through them or believe they could work the way they do in the final product. If you haven’t seen this film, I do highly recommend it…BUT, a word of caution: do NOT watch the version on Disney+. For some baffling reason, the Disney+ version redubs some of the actors and has a few minor edits, which really don’t do the movie any favors. If you want to watch this film, buy the DVD, or see if you can find a better copy elsewhere online. You won’t regret it; I certainly never have. I watch this film (and the Disneyland episode accompanying it) every St. Patrick’s Day, and that’s a tradition I never plan to cease. When I think of leprechauns, Irish myths, and all the trappings that come with those things, this film is the first thing that comes to mind. For these reasons above all else, King Brian and his friends in this movie take top marks on this list.
HONORABLE MENTIONS INCLUDE…
The Wee Men/Leprechaun’s Gold. (Two cartoons by Noveltoon that are based on classic leprechaun myths.)
Rupert and the Leprechauns. (An episode of the UK animated series “Rupert;” quite cute.)
Jack the Giant Killer. (This movie features a leprechaun called “Imp” as a major character. You can thank Rifftrax for my knowledge of this one. XD )
Leprechaun (1993). (I actually am not a big fan of this movie, or the series it spawned, but it felt physically wrong not to acknowledge Warwick Davis here.)

Top 9 Books
tagged by @jesuisici33
Okay, let's do a retrospective here - childhood through current.
1 - Anne of Green Gables, LM Montgomery Anne my beloved.
2 - Alanna series, Tamora Pierce Team George all the way - also possibly my introduction to the genre of girl dresses up like a boy to do fun things and save the world. Also, not for nothing but Alanna has relationships with three different men in the series and does not get slut shamed for it, which for a bunch of books I read in like middle school is pretty cool.
3 - Dark is Rising, Susan Cooper Will/Bran might have been my first ship before I even knew what I was doing. Also they are fantastic fantasy - and for the love of God do not ever watch the travesty of a movie.
4- Lord Peter Wimsey, Dorothy L Sayers I'm not picking just one - but I guess if I had to pick I'd pick the four with Harriet Vane. I met Peter Wimsey in high school, and basically he's been my benchmark for men ever since.
5 - Little Thieves, Margaret Owen Retelling of the Goose Girl from the perspective of the Goose Girl. Trauma and recovery and nuance. Also, a heist.
6 - Red White & Royal Blue, Casey McQuiston I read this when it came out and literally stopped in the middle of my commute to text my roommate 'they're fighting in a closet!'. Also, first book I managed to reread all the way through about four months into the pandemic. Still a comfort read.
7 - Raven Cycle, Maggie Stiefvater I have read and listened to these book so many times, I can't even tell you. (cheating but also Scorpio Races)
8 - Barbed Wire Heart, Tess Sharpe I love everything she writes (and she narrates her own audiobooks and it's cool to hear her voice do them) - If you ever watched Justified, this is kind of like an exploration of someone like Mags Bennett - morally grey but on the side of right.
9 - Goblin Emperor, Katherine Addison Intimate fantasy about learning how to be emperor, and learning how to be the kind of emperor you want to be when you weren't ever supposed to be emperor. And yes, there are lots of stories like this - but this one doesn't come with an epic quest, or a big battle, it's just the slow battles of politics and council meetings (and they build a really cool bridge).
okay, tagging @wtfuckevenknows, and @redshirt2, and @irispurpurea in return.

Someone give me a cookie, I managed to listen to the new episode within like 48 hours of the new episode coming out! As usual, this is the standalone version of the weekly post that I also made as a reblog to my main Red String Board, which can be found here. Today is 3/9/24. TMAGP episode 9 released on 3/7/2024.
“Talkers”
Norris (Voice: Martin?/ Alex)
Episode 1: “Reanimation (Partial) -/- Regret [Email]”. The Stranger? The End? The Dark? The Lonely? The Flesh? Arthur (Nolan?).
Episode 3: "Infection (full body" -/- Arboreal [Journal entry]". The Spiral? (Paranoia? Auditory, visual and olfactory hallucinations) The Lonely? The Corruption. The Flesh? (Callbacks to the Flesh Garden from S5)
Episode 8: "Architecture (liminal) -/- hunger [coursework]". The Spiral. The Lonely. (Statement giver has an ex-wife. Witnesses strange mist. Fog?) The Stranger? The Vast. The Flesh. The description of the space reminds me a bit of Mag 150: Cul-De-Sac. The description of the diners and the way they were speaking reminds me of Mag 48: Lost in the Crowd.
Common Themes: Hearing the voice of a dead/ missing loved one? Loneliness
Episode 9: "Dice (bone) -/- fate [Magnus Statement]" Flesh (blood)? The Dark (blown lightbulbs)? Web. (The dice aren't random. Nobody ever says no to rolling them. The way the statement giver describes his experience almost sounds like addiction, which is also Web affiliated).
Are these the same dice that were in the bag of The Merchant from TMAGP 4? Common theme continues to be Eyes/ The Magnus Institute and The Web (either internet-related or an artifact of The Eye like in TMAGP 7)
Notes and Thoughts:
...Sam's filling out the paperwork because he feels compelled to do it? Does the paperwork also have spiderwebs on it?
This might be nothing but the statement giver for Mag144: Decrypted was also named Garry.
There was something incredibly cozy about hearing Jonny's voice reading a good old fashioned Magnus Institute statement. So I posted a while ago about my theory that in TMA, the Magnus Institute was not only affiliated with The Eye but also The Web, and that John (and Gertrude before him) was an avatar of both The Eye and The Web (hence their ability to compel statements and stuff). (If you haven't read it, you can find the whole thing here.) Everything "Norris" just reaffirms that theory. All of his statements have had two things in common: they have been related to the Magnus Institute or the Eye, and they have had something web related about them. TMAGP 1 and 5 were a forum and a blog, which are both websites, which is something that has previously been associated with The Web (eg: In MAG 123: Web Development). They are also the only statements that didn't have the expectation of privacy/ limited audience that the other statements have. And if the dice from this episode aren't Web aligned, idk what is. The only exception to this seems to be TMAGP 7. It was an email, which is still internet related--also now that I'm thinking about it, it was set on Hilltop Road which we all KNOW is web aligned--but there doesn't seem to be an obvious Magnus Institute or Eye theme to that one though. Was it the fact that it was set on Hilltop Road? Was it the security firm? Am I on to something my theory that the "good cause" was a summoning ritual that required artifacts or actions related to all of the Entities, in order to maybe summon a certain someone we all know and love who was touched by all of the Entities into the TMAGP world (a certain someone who was made Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute, London in 2015 in TMA, which is the same year that statement took place)?
I recall also saying in my post with my "The Institute was part of The Web" post that I'll believe Teddy fully left the OIAR for good when I believe it. How convenient that he ended up being laid off from the job he left the OIAR basically immediately; I'm starting the countdown until he ends up getting his old job back (or turns up dead) now.
-
Idk what's funnier about the dedication at the beginning: the fact that it was probably written before the person who wrote it knew the details of Protocol and the whole "voices in the computer" thing, or the way Jonny read it.

MAG 87 let's goooo
I've heard of the uncanny valley before I think from a Tumblr post actually isn't it like non-humans that look like humans but slightly off that creep us out??
Sounds cool tho
GEORGIE!!!! JON!!!!
God I love her she actually tries to knock some sense into Jon
Jon's hesitation at accepting help is frustrating when he's just claimed that he's ready to accept that he needs allies but I guess it's understandable when he doesn't want to bring someone who doesn't have a place in this all into the situation
But also I guess he can't really help bringing her in, cause he's staying at her house, she's probably already in to a certain degree
This is already so long so I'm putting a read more
She knows that she's a last resort, she seems like a genuinely kind person, she's completely understood that the man is desperate but she's also willing to draw a line wow shes so cool
"you're a good person" augh god that must've been difficult for him to hear
"whatever this is, it's messing you up"
Georgie's right about everything all the time that's the conclusion I'm coming to from this
I like how she says you can choose to leave it alone, i think it might've been the first time it had crossed Jon's mind since it all started that maybe he had a choice in this, but the tragedy is that it's been said too late, if he did ever have choice, then it's definitely gone by now. And Jon is very much aware of that.
GERTRUDE????
Sebastian skinner THE NAME
Getrude seems very like practical about the way she does things, case number first, name, where it occurred and dates, like she doesn't do any of Jon's "head archivist of the Magnus Institute, London" stuff I guess cause he was doing it to sound important and she doesn't need that, she knows exactly what she's doing and what the situation is so she can just get straight to the point with it
I love analysing everyone's different little intro bit I think it's so cool how their personalities and beliefs form part of it
This statement actually like shook me, I don't know why but lately the statements have been sort of getting to me. I don't think they've gotten scarier though, I think my frame of mind has just changed recently
Just weirdo little valley with weirdo little people doing fucking blood rituals
It was very classic horror movie
I googled flensing on incognito mode cause I wasn't sure what would come up lol
Yeah that ending was horrifying I hate the idea of the only thing being left is the mannequin
That's so funny Gertrude was like fuck this guy's name in particular
So orsinov is like the avatar of the stranger
And they're skinning people for some sort of ritual called the Unknowing
Of course Gertrude is the kind of woman to use the word ilk in every day language
Wait fuck this was in 2015 and the current statements are set in what? 2016/7? The Unknowing has to be close then oh god
Oh god she got attacked??? By what???
Who the fuck is Jude perry
Do I know her???
Oh god poor Mr skinner
FUCK FUCK FUCK ITS CALLIOPE MUSIC FUCK OH MY GOD OH MY GOD
Oh god Georgie is really in it now if she can hear it
He sounds so scared jesus christ
I appreciate Georgie trying to get the stuff out of her house but girl I don't think that's gonna stop it from being there
Oh god he's trying so hard to keep it from Georgie but now he's realised that he actually can't
He has put her in danger and that's the fact of it
"I'm not sure I can."
AUGH
HE HAS NO CHOICE IN IT. HE KNOWS. HIS PATH HAS BEEN SOLIDIFIED. DNBSHSJSKWKSMSMKSSJJDJ

The ballad of songbirds and snakes
Tumblr media
Plot. 64 years before the 74th Hunger Games, 10 years after the Rebellion, the once wealthy and powerful Snow family is now struggling, with 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow, his 21-year-old cousin Tigris Snow, and their grandmother being the last living members.
personal thoughts:
This is one of the best prequels i have ever seen, it touches perfectly on the other victors stories from mags to katniss. It also brings an entirely new view onto the games as we can now see it from the view of someone outside of the games, which i think made the games to an extent more human as now looking back at coral or mizzen them going on to form alliances and end up being some of the first careers dont make them these threats looming over our heads but rather kids just wanting to go home. The small details make snows story even more realistic like with the prominent family names such as heavensbee, crane and flickerman. It was interesting to see tigris snow's story as we briefly meet her at mockingjay where we find out that she was a stylist in the games until snow kicked her out. This all added up to a worthy and good sequel to the original trilogy.
Personal thoughts spoilers:
Throughout this movie a lot of snows personal traits were shown through other characters which i think just added more to the title. How he cheated by giving lucy gray the rat poison to kill the other tributes similarly to how he goes to poison casca highbottom and how he ends up becoming the president through this. This is a more sensitive topic but it makes this story line much more true and honest as they have recently come out of a war that almost lead to the extinction of panem, but tigris and lucy gray are heavily hinted at having to sell their bodies to make sure food was on the table. Snow who has been sheltered by all of these burdens by tigris is immature about it even when both tigris and lucy gray tell him that, this is what they had to do to, quoting tigris “Then be kind, Coryo, and try not to look down on people who had to choose between death and disgrace” yet he does constantly even going as far as selling the "attractive" tributes some as young as 16. If they reject this? their family and loved ones are killed.
Tumblr media
The intense amount of care that is shown for these characters are most prominent in the book and film. I mean by the names as each of their names mean something much deeper then some of the original names and meaning in the original trilogy. I do have some complaints tho, as the pacing of the third and final part was not up to par as it was rushed in the book and subsequently in the movie. I think it would have made more sense if snow had at least stayed with Lucy gray in the cabin for a day before going into his psychotic episode rather than less then 12 hours in.
World building: 9/10
Content:9.5/10
Plot:9/10
Pacing:7/10
Overall:8.5/10
@aurvmz thank u for helping with this review a bit.
