Woohoo, here’s my piece for this @seasons-in-the-archives event!!! The theme for this event was rebirth, renewal, healing and growth, and this AU is admittedly a little bit of a stretch, but I still really enjoyed working on it and am happy to share it! :D

To summarize the AU: Jon is our Prince Charming who has no interest in getting married off to the next pretty girl, he’d rather be the pretty girl at the ball, and so goes a bit undercover at his own dance to get to talk to people at their level and try and make friends. Martin is our Cinderella (he’s trans btw), stuck working for shitty rich people who refuse to pay him enough to save anything, who gets to have his one magical night at the palace. The two meet and connect (both feeling like outsiders, undercover in someone else’s world, both queer and trans longing for something more, both just bitchy enough to make conversation interesting...), and at midnight, when Martin has to run, Jon gifts his own glass slipper so that he’ll be able to find Martin again the next day, when they’re both forced to play their social and gendered roles again.
