LAKSHMI || I've been working with the beautiful energy of Lakshmi (thanks to the inspiration of the beautiful @lararoseduong 💕) and just over the past few days the power of what's been revealed to me has surprised and delighted me! :: She is the goddess of abundance and helps with allowing beauty and richness (of all types!) into your life. I'm seeing all the ways in which I was not feeling good enough to receive this in my life and blocking it. I am now saying yes to more beauty in everyway in my life by focusing on opening to receiving beauty and loving attention and prosperity. No longer deflecting it off of me and onto other people. :: I’m feeling a deep sense of satisfaction because I now see a major reason why some of the things I've wanted have not been created and how I can actually be honest with myself and create that now... Less focus (adoration) on what other people are doing in there lives and more attention and loving focus on what's in my heart wanting to be birthed. Getting real with what I really want, even if it feels scary. :: So grateful for this. Now to face all of the uncomfortable feelings that are part of creating what you truly want. Yoga has saved my life in so many ways. I hope to write about this in detail someday. Many people think that you have to go through the poses in order to ultimately attain a certain level of physical perfection; they become exquisite technicians of the asanas and adept at artful and subtle control and manipulation of the somatic realm. This is admirable because it requires great discipline, yet it can be very intimidating to some. For me, though, the practice of Yoga is about showing up-no matter what state your physical body is in-no matter how stiff, out of shape, sad, disappointed, emotional or tired you may be, and just being there for yourself to accept and honor where you are at this point in time, with awareness and reverence to your authentic and personal journey. All of this will change, shift, grow, progress, expand, contract, expand again, and when we can allow ourselves to be on the journey without judging our progress-and allow ourselves to just show up without preconceived notions of what we need to "achieve" in our practice for results-we embrace yoga in its truest essence. The union - the yoga - becomes the medicine we can use to integrate into the present moment to honor, respect and learn more about our essential nature. By doing that, we learn to love ourselves wherever we are at in our progress. By showing up and having the courage to do so regardless of whatever state of mind, soul or body we may be in, we not only learn to love and heal ourselves, but we grow the capacity to learn to truly love others. The more I live this life, the more I try to forget what I know, because I find that I learn so much more when I am empty of expectation, and things that I think that I know. When I become completely open, not trying to figure anything out, and not even expecting that things are going to work out. I stop trying to think positive thoughts, and just let the situation presents itself to me, staying fully present with all of my feelings, and saying absolutely and completely curious. And then somehow, in someway, that I don’t even try to understand later, situations resolve themselves, I find answers, and inspiration, direction, and motivation arrive once more into my being.
