The Scythe

A cessation, an abrupt turn, a reaping.

The Scythe falls sharply and suddenly in the path ahead, blade sharp and liable to cut anyone who doesn't heed its warning. Something has come to an end, perhaps unexpectedly or even accidentally. The path ahead is either inaccessible or dangerous. Take caution when considering the next step.

Every of the card is painted by hand. I wanted to have a very nature oriented representation for this deck and tried as much as I could to dodge drawing objects. The meaning of the Scythe pretty much spoke to me as being owl’s talons, right before they close on their prey!

A lot of you asked : Is it a good deck for beginners? And I want to say : Yes, totally! This is a Lenormand deck, so it’s 36cards without suits like Raider-Waite-Smith. It is focused on very conversational reading instead of dense symbolism.  It’s much more approachable than some of the alternatives, I learned this deck way more quickly than the RWS, even if I like to read both depending of the context. But I felt a stronger connection with the Lenormand, and I know there’s not that much decks available yet so we decided to make our own! (´∇ ` ) ◆12 Days until the end of the Kickstarter◆ You are already more than 1000 to have backed the project, thank you so much!
