Top Five SG-1 episodes!
Ahhh this was so hard (but also a very fun challenge)
5. Descent: Jonas brought a banana. Jacob and Major Davis are there. Anything that can go wrong... Jack would prefer to sink in warmer water. Sam is pretty when wet (and always). Sam puts Thor on a big flashy drive. Jonas saves the day. *Death glider corkscrews*
4. Foothold: Sam Carter does a fuckton of amazing things but there's something that always stands out to me about this episode where she is so on her own, not only against an alien threat but also within her own world. And she handles it and almost single-handedly saves the world, and gets to wear a leather jacket and yell at Maybourne while doing it. And I like the way this episode is put together; how we're led to share in Sam's confusion and we never really learn who the aliens are. Also my Sam and Teal'c feeeeeeeels.
3. There But For the Grace of God: I just love how immersive the world in this episode is, how palpable the threat and how emotionally moving this alternative reality becomes.
2. Solitudes: This episode still give me possibly the biggest Sam/Jack feels of anything in Stargate, and I am always a sucker for people stuck somewhere and an episode around the own struggle to get out (see below for further). Plus I love Daniel working on the mystery, and still laugh at the "what happens if you dial your own phone number" joke every time. I just. Don't even get me started I could write a fucking essay about every scene in this episode.
1. Grace: As a reminder, I am a woman who loves Sam Carter, loves a man vs himself conflict, and has a lot of feelings about her own career and intellect and stuff. Seriously this episode is so beautiful -- I love how it uses the people in Sam's life to represent the threads in her mind, Amanda's acting is so moving, and seeing Sam struggle against/Iwith her own self in so many ways -- even down to the Prometheus being an extension of herself because she was so involved in its construction. Really I don't know how to come up with the words to do it justice.

Top 5 scary movies!
I hope you don’t mind if I take that to mean horror films, instead of films that literally scared me.... because those are different questions and I realize that.
Army of Darkness - 1992 (always and forever a Bruce Campbell fangirl and I love me some horror/comedy)
Event Horizon - 1997 (this movie gave me such nightmares as a kid, now as an adult I love it, great scifi/horror)
Interview with the Vampire - 1994 (favorite vampire film, also loved the books)
The Shining - 1980 (I need at least one horror classic on this list so here it is and it’s just so good)
Oldboy - 2004 (this list also needed at least one balls to the wall horror film and at least one ‘asian’ horror film so this totally no holds bar film has got to be that film - very much not a film for those faint of heart or of weak stomach).
