attending the wedding of my friend last week made me realise that all my high school friend and I did not drift apart because they did not care anymore. we had so much fun and they were friendly and it was nice. we drifted apart the moment I closed Facebook which is around the time Instagram became the necessary social media to have. it is extremely sad because personally if someone doesn't write to me I think they're not interested being friends. when in reality it seems people are just used to receive constant passive notifications about other's life. they don't ask you what happen, they just know from your feed. you're not on there, you're suddenly...idk. not in their peripheral vision? and it feels extremely fucked up but nobody seems to acknowledge this
