literally are you kidding quote-back commenters and essay-length commenters and vivid-description-of-the-various-locations-this-fic-made-me-cry-in commenters are like CRACK to authors. the first time someone commented on something in my work that i didn't even realise i'd done i vibrated clean off the mortal plane of existence
