dark academia style makeup

There are many ways you can execute an academia style makeup look, this guide focuses on natural, vintage, and artfully messy style.

key features:

red lip!

natural base

light but smudgy eye makeup

products:

any red lip oil or red lipstick (you could even use a tinted balm)

bb cream or liquid foundation

concealer

grey or black pencil eyeliner

mascara

These products aren't all necessary e.g you can use a liquid liner, add a liner wing, use a powder foundation or just tweak it to your own style & what you own.

skincare + primer

bb cream or chosen base + concealer! no base is cool too, we love natural skin. i personally love a bb cream applied with a sponge + blended w my fingers lol.

lips! any shade of red lipstick works. If using lipstick i definitely recommend applying it with your finger and smudging for a more muted look. Lip oils are awesome too, my favourite is a dark red. Dark pink and red tinted balms also work if you want this more casual.

eyes! line under your eyes with grey or black pencil and smudge slightly. And add mascara. You can also add a neutral or grey eyeshadow. Or an eyeliner wing.

Finally use a setting powder/spray over the base to seal it all for all day wear. (totally optional)

And done!
