hi, can you explain what is going on with the goncharov meme? I was afraid to ask to not look stupid but I am neurodivergent and i often don't get memes...

(If you reblog this post please dont tag it as "unreality" bc it might be confusing for some neurodivergent people, this explanation is real, GONCHAROV is not.)

So in 2020 somebody bought themselves a pair of boots that had embroidery details written "GONCHAROV" and that it was a Martin Scorsese movie and "the best mafia movie ever made", even though this movie simply does not exist. It was later found out - and i kinda know a bit about this bc my mom makes embroidery stuff - that the "goncharov" detail in the boots were actually about ANOTHER (real) movie, called Gomorrah, but sometimes when you try to make an image into an embroidery file so a machine can work on it, letters get confused and misplaced. So this is WHY the Goncharov boots and stuff exists.

Now jumping to some days ago, somebody found the boots post again and made a fake poster with real actors from other movies, as a joke. It ended up making the whole tumblr catch on fire and everyone wanted to create lore about it. So there are gifs (from other movies) with superimposed fake lines from "Goncharov", there is art, there's my fake poster shirt (bc im a fan of internal jokes like these), there are fake premiere pictures (even Lynda Carter wanted to play with us).

The problem here is that in the middle of having fun, some of us forgot some people get triggered by UNREALITY, and some people forget to tag their posts and reblogs with that.

Outside of this, it's a harmless meme, but the movie does not exist.

I was thinking -- should John ever be summoned by his werewolf ~elders~ somehow, some way (and he’d just know).

they’d probably ask him general things but also when did he turned (2 years too early -- Jacob was earlier and thus, died from it), or how did he manage his wereness (by all accounts -- terribly) and he’d tell them straight up, “I had a bad time”. He gave them the deets and the elders were understandably upset up until the part he tells them that he had to defend himself. (They knew what that meant; and offered condolences to him.) They ask about his form, and he replies that he still appears human, outside of a few things, but cannot turn more than he can. It lasts for at least two weeks and for the most part, seems involuntary (though he can turn a day earlier).

John is asked where he lives, if he’s in any danger of his wereness being discovered. He tells them he lives in an area that’s pretty spread out near some woods and water with Brian, his fiance/bondmate. Naturally, he braces for the onslaught of the questions about that, but the elders were mostly concerned that if Brian knew about it  -- to which he says, yes and goes into how he’s helped him every step of the way and also just gush about him in general.

The elders asked if he’s bonded with Brian (mostly bc they have the thought of he’d be stupid not to).

“Well,” he starts, “Yeah, but it was on accident, actually--” (To which the elders, or at least some of them raised their eyebrows when he explained how and a few of them were like “BUT YOU SKIPPED THE COURTSHIP AND EVERYTHING” but they’re like, super old and John had no way of knowing but apparently The Werewolf did lol) “and we’re engaged” (He holds up his ring finger -- it’s tungsten) “and... we have a daughter. Technically.”

“Wait, what? A daughter? Where is she? Why isn’t she here with you?”

“Uhm, iha’s... well, she’s our cat daughter. I call her that because we’ve raised her since she was a kitten. She’s about 2? No, 3 years old. And she considers us her fathers. She’s very, very, very, cute; I can show you pictures, if you like? My mother is still alive and well, but she never remarried when my dad died; I don’t expect her to anyway. My aunt and uncle are married, no kids of their own, but they work with a lot of ‘em so, they have kids, just not theirs. That and they partially raised me too. As for Brian and I, we haven’t exactly talked about having our own; we’re taking our time. That’s it.”

The elders look at John, exasperated, but then it turns into relief. Their ‘youngest’ seemed well adjusted all things considered. They’re not interested in tasking him with all that “we must restore our kind back to where it was hundreds of years ago!!” or lump any of that mess on him, but more concerned about his safety and well being.

John is cool through out of the meeting. Cool as he could be anyway. There’s a lot of things to catch up on, but for now, he doesn’t feel like he’s totally alone in being a werewolf.

#i'm essentially making up ~lore~ based on TS4 doesn't have werewolves (yet?) so they are very rare and elusive #with good reason #idk #they do remark and impressed that john's really respectful of his elders #but this is probably what i imagine how it goes #btw he did show off pics of Spaghetti #any given chance that he can gush about brian he can and will take it #a text post #non sims #werewolf shenanigans #i put it under a cut bc its p long lol #oh! some elders were already in their wolf form some not some in between...

🎃Happy Simblreen! 🎃

This is technically my 4th but my first in actually participating (the others I was simblreen adjacent). I’ve done vampire and werewolf-themed poses seperately, but now... it’s time to bring them together. I don’t exactly know when it was a thing to be always pitted against each other, but I feel like it’s dumb considering the amount of commonality they have as occults.

Bit of lore stuff: this is a half-AU in that in this AU, Brian is a vampire (canonically, he is not) and John is a werewolf (actually canon, but kind of situational and, y’know not A Thing in TS4 yet). They’re also happily married! I wanted to do something chill this year, so I decided to make a themed couple pose set. I feel like these can be treated as engagement photo, some nice formal pics to put in the living room, maybe something a little sexy after party, etc.

It’s also my first time rendering anything in blender to make things look a little nicer, so, if you’ll excuse the basicnessl ^^;.

Note/Suggestions: I made these with male rigs and this time it’s closer to my sims’ shapes to avoid any floaty hand business. I suggest that the smaller sim is the Bat in this case to avoid clipping (but it’s up to you, really). If you’re gonna use this for m/f sims or f/f, there may be clipping with a certain standing pose (unless they have small boobs, then it’s okay). I’d also suggest something form fitting for the Bat too.

The furniture poses are specific to what I listed, so, if you use a low couch, it’s gonna look weird bc a few of them have the arm resting on the back. Chairs... well, they look okay with others but they sit a little high/low.

Because this is a special pack, the pics that are shown here are rendered, but I also made in-game pics too to show ya’ll how it looks like honestly.

Simblr Community Challenge

(I was tagged by @tiallussims... kinda? I read your post so I said why not? ^^;)

How long have you been playing The Sims?

Since TS1 came out! But with TS1, I think I had only the base game of it (I was not really aware of expansion packs). TS2, I kind of skipped because my laptop was not strong enough to run things. Then TS3 came about and, despite my laptop at the time running on potatoes (and come to find out it’s poorly optimized lol), I played a lot of it. I even had a few families I rotated out. I still have my disks too! (And I can redeem them on Origin). I didn’t have everything, but I discovered torrents around that time too... 👀. 

TS4 came out and I’ve been playing it since launch. My hours? You don’t want to know, but it checks out, lol. But it was so nice to finally visualise my OCs like I wanted them to in CAS.

How long have you been a Simblr, and why did you become one?

This past January, it’s been 6 years, but as far as being active in the community , it’s more 3. My simblr is accidental (hence my title, lol). At the time, I needed a sideblog to put my sims stuff since on main it went... ignored. And at the time I was writing a story that never really panned out. But, I just liked sharing pics. I didn’t know what a simblr was until I started using CC. And even then, I was just doing my own thing. (I still am, lol)

Then I got into pose making after being frustrated at the lack of poses that I wanted/needed and it didn’t help that things that I like or would like to see are pretty niche. And couple poses that were clearly m/f that never worked for the boys (the ones with height difference especially. It’s worse bc Brian’s taller than John); and at the time, like no male couple poses (or the ones that were out there, didn’t quite fit John and Brian’s dynamic). Or male poses that... how can I put this, were just made for modeling? No; I’d like them to do something. (or be ~soft~ but not uwu)

In a sense, I had to make my own food... but now I’m making my own food and sharing it. 

That and I wanted to tell stories! Stories that only I could tell? Not to toot my own horn (🎺) but it’s not something you’d see in a simblr? I try to put my spin on things and I think they’re interesting enough. I got ideas that I feel like I can pull off now and I think it’d be p cool to see. 😎

What type of Simblr are you?

I guess I’m a storyteller? I’m more of a short form kind of teller. And even then, I’ve told maybe 10, so, not that many stories to tell. I am doing an arc though, which... is testing... However, I do talk about my OCs a lot through texts (and tagged as such), so a lot of “lore”, but text. 

I can say I’m a pose maker, primarily for male sims and niche things, but I’ve done a few general stuff. I create content but... not exactly known for it?

I’ve done renders too, but they are absolutely basic as hell compared to some people around here, so I don’t do them too much...

Which generation of Sims do you primarily play?

I have TS2 (the one with everything on it), a good chunk of TS3, and TS4. TS4 is my most played. I got every pack except one (you can guess which it is, lol) because it’s also the first generation that I could afford to get everything, and having a set up that can actually run it with no hassle. The previous generations I had to rely on my parents and/or torrents.
