Mitski

Mitski is a Dome-born octarian who moved to inkopolis Square in search of a better life, away from the famine and fake skies, for her and her daughter Momo. Now she works at Greensea Corp as a customer rep, answering calls all day. Though she doesn't mind the slog all that much since atleast it keeps her and Momo alive. That and one of her coworkers, one Canner Fisher, is quite... handsome. (Though she'd never dare say it aloud)

MAKO

Mako is Nishida’s favorite older sister on account of the fact that she practically raised him. Since having 247 kids leaves a lot of room for neglect, a lot of the older kids ended up having to grow up really fast and raise their younger siblings to make up for their parents not being there.

She is the biggest HTE fan but ONLY bc she loves and supports her little brother. She actually hates their music.

Okay, so, I’ve been in a writing coma (I swear chapter 2 of Snowed Inn will be up very soon, it just turned out longer than I expected), but I come bearing some excellent headcanons and fic ideas for everyone! Please, join me!

Pacific Rim AU 

Kyodai = drift compatible, I mean, think about it!

Kiryu and Majima both lost their Jaeger partners and thought they would never pilot again... UNTIL! 

Majima absolutely comes in his pants the first time he and Kiryu test for drift compatibility and Daigo has to make the call on whether or not that’s a stable partnership. (He does, if only because if he failed them Majima would insist they test again and ain’t nobody need that twice.) 

Haruka as Mako! Kiryu already has an adorable, badass daughter who will save the world, it fits so perfectly! 

Nishida and Minami making up the science team, trying their hardest to keep Majima from dying, as always 

Akiyama is just here as the obligatory monster fucker 

Ryuji out here being that one fuck who INSISTS he can pilot alone and gets himself killed 

Mine holds the all time record low for drift compatibility. He’s an unparalleled fighter and a skilled pilot, but no one can bear to be in his head for more than five seconds. So he’s seething on the bench until Daigo gets that insane twinkle in his eye and thinks “Maybe...” 

Kiryu weirdly has pretty decent compatibility across the board, not enough to put him back in the pilot’s seat, but better than your average acquaintances. His compatibility with Majima is almost horrifying in its strength. Not a thing anyone thought they would see again after Saejima. 

Living partially in Kiryu’s mind has NOT calmed Majima down. At all. There’s an even higher risk for public sex now. There ain’t shit can stop that man from telling the world how much he goddamn loves Kiryu.

My point is, this is a great AU and everyone should enjoy.

The stage begins in the old European-style building. In a mansion, there is a lonely little fish called Only Silver Fish in the big fish tank, there is a folk tale saying that If one can know the true name of the fish, one will be able to look back over the past. A mysterious invitation letter, arriving at a party venue which should begin peacefully at such a European-style building. 『The moment after starting a signature of happiness, people will disappear one by one. Like the story that Agatha wrote ・・・』coincidentally, but all 11 people gathered inevitably. And it appears, a mysterious person. One person・・・dying again with one another・・・The story involves the reality.

Daisuke Nishida esta regresando para dirigir la obra y escribir los guiones. Katou esta de nuevo asistiendo con los guiones.

Ok it's 2am I can say what I want i don't care anymore.... Here r my angsty ass backstories for hightide era

Tw for: death, child abuse

Nishida: as we all know, Shida has 246 older siblings. I have taken it upon myself to think about his family and how it would fit into society very much. Too much. I'm not normal about him. Anyways, the reason why his family has so many fucking kids is because of traditional values instilled in herring that live on the countryside in the North. Fish themselves lay a lot of eggs anyway, and so that sort of carried on as they evolved. However it became traditional and is heavily enforced in rural countryside families that their family must lay the most offspring as they can to honor their family's name. Hence the 247 of them. But since Overpopulation is a big thing in the world especially in splatoon where there's not a lot of land because the ice caps melted and shit, the governments or whatever type of government officials there are in Splatoon issued a cap on how many offspring fish may have. That cap being 300. You know damn well that a lot of other herring families try their damndest to reach that many kids and most of them do not succeed due to their biology changing with evolution. Now that herring are more human-like than fish-like their bodies aren't equipt to have that many kids over the course of a few years, so Nishida's mom(and a lot of other herring mothers. This is a very common thing with herring) unfortunately fell ill when Nishida and his twin sister were born, dying when he was a child(around 5-6). This left the burden upon his father and all of his older siblings to raise themselves and their younger siblings. This is where a lot of my OC's come in but I'll talk about them another time. His family is split up into yearly categories where his mother laid 40 eggs every year over the span of 7 years. Nishida's siblings numbered 1-40 are 7 years older than him, and so on and so fourth. The kicker here is him and his twin sister(another oc of mine). His group of 40 unfortunately did not make it due to his mother being sick, hence the odd number of children. Of his group of 40 it turns out that only him and his sister survived, all of the others dying prematurely because of illness etc etc. This forms a very special bond between the twins due to them being the youngest of all 247 and also being the only 2 strong enough to survive after illnesses wiped out the rest of their unborn siblings and shit. Nishida was raised by his older siblings Touya and Mako (my OC's. 11th and 32nd children) after his mom died and his father was too busy working to financially support all of his children. Now as you can tell living in a house full of children who are also feeling the same trauma as you and being forced to work around the house and in the farm or wherever needed work to support the family was a stressful environment to grow up in. This leads to Nishida learning guitar and using it as an outlet to express himself and to wind down from being burdened with the ordeal of basically being the reason his mother died 💔

Taka: there's not a lot said about his family so all of this is entirely made up by me. Taka is a middle child of an average upper middle class fusiller family. He has 2 older brothers and 2 younger sisters. His older brothers are 5/2 years older than him, while his younger sisters are twins and only 1 year younger than him. In the splatoon world of fish species, I've made it a personal hc/drawing quirk of mine that fish either have tails or only have fins on their elbows and down their spine. The tails are more apparent in species of fish that are not evolved to be as human-like as herring nd fusillers are. Does not matter bcos most fish species still have tails, some are just born without them due to evolution. Taka, Nishida, and Kuze are fish born without tails. Now normally this would be fine because so what who cares who doesn't have a tail? Well not in Taka's family... Lmao..... Taka's family, being upper middle class, was very very invested on image issues. Mostly his mother. And those image issues also stem from essentially the eugenics of the fish world. Both of Taka's parents were born with tails. His older brothers had tails, his twin sisters had tails. But Taka was the middle child, and did not have a tail at all. His mother was very embarrassed by having a child that did not look "correct" enough. And so what she did was constantly abuse Taka and treat him as an outcast in his family simply because he was born without a tail and looked more human-like than the rest of his family. His father did nothing because he was also kind of embarrassed by Taka, and his siblings did nothing because they all lived in fear of being treated the way Taka was being treated if they stepped out of line. However, his oldest brother was the only one to even attempt to protect him. Nights when Taka would be forced to sleep outside, his oldest brother would sneak him blankets and jackets to keep warm. And even when his oldest brother was old enough to move out, he took Taka in to save him from their mother's abuse. Because he was consistently told that he was wrong and a disgrace, he took on music as an outlet and really deeply became involved with piano. This is why he is so adamant on not having a bassist, saying he is good enough to do all of that on his piano. So much so that he desires to be a star and not have another bassist in the band to step on his glory just to prove to his parents that even if he was born "wrong" that he can still make it in life.

Kuze: Beloved guy that I make things up about. He actually has the happiest backstory of the three tbh. Kuze is the oldest child of a middle class family. He has 2/3 younger siblings. One younger brother, two younger sisters. His sisters are 1 year and 4 years apart, his brother is 2 years apart. As kids the 4 of them would always hang out at the music store their aunt and uncle worked at, Kuze often taking interest in drums and percussion instruments like vibes etc etc. Unfortunately when he was around 6 or 7, his youngest sister passed away bc she got sick. This affected the family pretty hard not just emotionally but financially as well. After putting a lot of money into trying to get her sickness cured, their family sort of went into debt and had to move in with Kuze's aunt and uncle at the music store. Kuze worked there with them to help around at the house and such, but at the end of the day still felt very attached to drums and such as an outlet. The reason he likes "cheap" sounding drums is just because the drums he grew up learning and playing were all cheap display drums from his aunt and uncle's music store that were too old to be sold but looked decent enough to show off as a display. That defining sound really shaped most of his childhood/teenage years and so he goes on with hightide era making sure he shares that sound with others. As a way to never forget who he really is now that he's gotten popular with his band.
