Je me rappelle encore de chacun de tes anniversaires passés en famille… Il faisait toujours un temps magnifique… Et heureusement comme ça nous pouvions immortaliser de beaux instants… Et dieu sait que c'était important…

Oui, très important mais quand on est jeunes on a tendance à être insouciants et à ne pas trop s’apercevoir du temps qui passe irrémédiablement trop vite…

Aujourd’hui, je sais plus que jamais que le temps est précieux et qu’il faut savoir le savourer tant qu’on peux…

Et encore plus depuis que tu n'es plus là… Mais comme tu vois je ne t’oublie pas et je pense toujours à toi…

Tu me manques Papa…

Et en même temps c'est comme si tu étais toujours là près de moi…

Je me souviens encore de ton regard vert irisé tourné vers la mer méditerranée… Celle que tu admirais longuement et qui devait très certainement te rappeler ton passé à Madagascar…

Tu ne disais rien dans ces moments-là mais moi je pouvais ressentir ta nostalgie, ta gratitude aussi d’avoir pu connaître cette grande île de l’océan Indien durant de si nombreuses années…

Aujourd'hui avec du recul je comprends mieux… Oui, je comprends tout…

Tu avais un âge où on a forcément peur de disparaitre comme ça du jour au lendemain…

Un âge où on apprend à savourer pleinement le temps sans pour autant courir après lui…

Un âge où on aurait envie de retourner soudainement dans le passé pour retrouver cette Jeunesse perdue...

Mais toi tu savais mieux que personne que l'âge n'est qu'un chiffre...

Car oui tu avais cette éternelle jeunesse qui rayonnait en toi tel un soleil dans ce joli bleu du ciel...

Saches que dans cette vie, tu auras laissé ton empreinte mon Papa … Cette jolie empreinte éternelle que je porte désormais en moi car tu resteras pour toujours dans mon Cœur…

I still like bringing up the fact that the Malagasy words for “bee” and “honey” are one and the same. You can try to tell which one it is through context, but it is absolutely NOT made easy by the fact that the language doesn’t really have a concept of plurals.

Descendants of the First Seafarers

Some of the ancestors of the native peoples of Madagascar, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Pacific Islands (Micronesia, Melanesia, Polynesia) came from an ancient seaborne migration out of Taiwan and the Philippines (2200 BCE - 1250 CE). Cultural traditions still shared among these far-flung peoples today include tātau (tattoos), jade carving, stilt houses, and the cultivation of taro, pork, rice, coconuts, and yams.

Coucou ma chère Plume,

Avant toute chose, je tenais à te remercier car tu as su insuffler en moi cette envie de vouloir réaliser un défi…

« L’envie d’avoir envie » comme le disait si bien Johnny dans sa jolie chanson…

Et si tu me lis, à cet instant bien précis, tu sauras toi de quoi je te parle mais entre nous soit dit et je pense que tu seras d’accord avec moi, faudrait-il aussi que je mette au parfum mes chers amis(es) lecteurs afin qu’il puisse comprendre de quoi il s’agit exactement…

J’ai toujours aimé les défis, que ce soit dans le domaine du sport (surtout la course à pied), où encore d’essayer de rester le plus longtemps possible sous l’eau (dans ma baignoire, piscine où l’océan), où de chanter a capella une chanson de Maître Gims (ça me détend) où même de savoir citer comme ça les capitales du monde entier (mon petit plaisir personnel, va savoir pourquoi ?) en veillant à ne pas me tromper.

Mais là, il s’agit d’un défi qui dépasserait largement tout ce que je viens d’énumérer…

Un défi beaucoup plus passionnant…

Un défi que j’affectionne particulièrement et que pourtant je n’avais plus souhaité réaliser depuis le décès de mon cher et tendre Papounet…

Un défi que tous les amoureux de l’écriture apprécient en règle générale…

Il s’agit bien-sûr du défi d’écriture ! Et là, bien-sûr de ton défi à toi, ma très chère Plume…

À présent, si tu le veux bien ma chère Plume, je t’embarque avec moi car je pense que tu dois être autant impatiente que je le suis…

Impatiente de savoir dans quel lieu je souhaiterais t’emmener…

Tu es fin prête ? Alors, c’est parti ! Nous allons maintenant droit en direction de mon pays natal ! Et me connaissant quelque peu depuis que nous nous suivons mutuellement sur WordPress en Novembre 2018, tu l’auras sans doute compris, nous partons toi et moi à Madagascar.

Eh oui ! Cette grande île qui est si chère à mon cœur !
