Vice Dorm Leaders (+ Ruggie and Ortho) meeting Lucille’s Pokemons

Trey Clover - Alcremie

“Thank you for helping me prepare for the Unbirthday Party, Alcremie”

Moves: Sweet Scent, Decorate, Magical Leaf, Dazzling Gleam

Trey and Alcremie first met when the Adeuce combo, Grim and Lucille had to help him made the tarts for the Unbirthday Party during Chapter 1.

Perhaps Alcremie can tell that Trey is a baker of sorts as she took immediate liking to him.

Trey was quite shocked and somewhat uncomfortable to use Alcremie’s cream until Lucille shoved a spoonful of it in his mouth.

Whenever Alcremie isn’t with Lucille, you can find her helping Trey in the Heartslabyul kitchen.

Lucille did let Trey bring Alcremie home to his family’s bakery during the Winter Break in Chapter 4 with detailed instructions on how to care for her. It was typed and printed because other than her father and sisters, no one can read Lucille’s handwriting.

Trey’s family loves her. She greatly helped them out and the pastries that came out sells like… well, hot cakes.

Trey have to stop his siblings from dipping their fingers into her body to eat the cream.

Alcremie even have a little apron and chef hat with the logo of the Clover’s bakery.

Overall, Trey greatly appreciates Alcremie.

(Bonus) Trey had to hold Alcremie and Lucille back from throwing hands at Riddle when he threw away the tarts they made back in Chapter 1

Ruggie Bucchi - Nickit

“Wanna help me steal some food from the cafeteria ?”

Moves: Thief, Sucker Punch, Quick Attack, Foul Play

Ruggie and Nickit’s friendship started off rather rocky.

Ruggie finally got himself some bread from the cafeteria only to Nickit to snatch it just as he was about to bite into it.

The hyena boy was rather furious and chased the Fox Pokemon all the way to Ramshackle where they are faced with a disappointed but not surprised Lucille.

She apologized to Ruggie and told him that she caught Nickit back in Galar when he stole food right out of her hands, and the Fox Pokemon still does it to the other Pokemons till this day.

She did offered to cook him something else for compensation however.

Lucille made a lot of malasadas for the Pokemons so she offered him some.

The moment he bite into his malasada, his mind became blank before he came back to his senses a few minutes later, stomachs a lot fuller than when he came to Ramshackle. Lucille’s cooking was just that good.

After Lucille taught the hyena boy her recipe, Ruggie and Nickit immediately hit it off amd became partners in crime, stealing trinkets every now and then.

In fact, Nickit helped Ruggie stole Azul’s keys during Chapter 3 by using Thief.

When they aren’t doing crimes together, the two would find some fruits and ask (demand) Lucille to cook for them. (Ruggie helped cleaning up)

When he sent home some malasadas in a care package for his grandma, the letter she sent him only contain the words “Marry her”.

Jade Leech - Frilish

“Oya ? You are quite the interesting jellyfish”

Moves: Shadow Ball, Poison Sting, Water Pulse, Destiny Bond

Jade first met Frilish after the events of Chapter 3. Lucille went over to Octavinelle and make a deal with Azul to let her aquatic Pokemons swim there and have a change of scenery every now and then in exchange for her service at the Mostro Lounge.

While Anjawlica looks very intimidating and Lumineon looks very beautiful, Jade is more focused on this pink jellyfish with an off-putting aura.

He didn’t think much about it… until Floyd decide and go swim with Lucille’s aquatic Pokemons. He thought that Frillish looked squishy and wanted to squeeze her despite Lucille’s warnings… only for Frillish to stung him with her stingers.

Jade had to go and drag his brother out there.

After that little incident, he became intrigued in the Frillish. Specifically, her stingers and what it could do.

When learning about the Frillish line, most people would be afraid of these ghost jellyfishes dragging people to the bottom of the ocean, but not Jade. He just have this smile on his face the entire time.

Now Lucille is scared…

Frillish will not go near Jade whatsoever, probably because Floyd tried to squeeze her and Jade looked like him.

She is quite intrigued when he showed her his terrarium collection however, and would gaze at it for quite a long time.

Just don’t let the eel feed her his mushrooms.

Jamil Viper - Centiskorch

“AAAAHHHH GET AWAY FROM ME”

Moves: Bug Bite, Fire Lash, Smokescreen, Flame Wheel

It’s widely known that Jamil is terrified of bugs, and a giant fire centipede is the bane of him.

During Chapter 4 when Jamil was hypnotizing Lucille to go to Scarabia with him, Centiskorch bursted out of his Poke Ball and hissed at Jamil threateningly.

Turns out that Lucille brought him with her to keep her warm (along with Onion the Houndoom and Jawsephine the Garchomp)

Jamil almost pisses his pants seeing this giant centipede with fire on it’s face.

He doesn’t know whether to be happy or scared since Lucille agreed to go to Scarabia with him.

During the duration of Chapter 4, being suspicious of the Vice Dorm Leader of Scarabia, Centiskorch (and Onion) stick close to Lucille and not letting him make any moves on her.

Fast forward till Jamil Overblotting, when flung to the end of the desert, Centiskorch coiled around Lucille and Kalim to keep them warm, which the two greatly appreciate

When battling his Overblot, Jamil tried to smash Centiskorch multiple times, only to fail.

Guess what Jamil, Twisted Wonderland has a surprisingly large amount of spots that allows you to Dynamax your Pokemon, and Scarabia happens to be one of them.

Cue Jamil screaming in horror at G-max Centiskorch.

After the fiasco, Jamil will not go near Centiskorch without Kalim as his shield. It didn’t help that Centiskorch held grudges and will try to attack him whenever the Radiator Pokemon can.

Rook Hunt - Decidueye

“Such an incroyable hunter ! Beaute ! 100 points !”

Moves: Leaf Blade, Spirit Shackle, Brave Bird, False Swipe

Usually, Rook would be the one to spot the Pokemons first, but this time, it’s the other way around.

Rook was watching (stalking) Lucille’s Pokemon (as usual). The hunter has heard all about the powerful monsters that obey the Magicless Prefect of Ramshackle.

He let his guard down for one (1) second and now he can’t move away from his position. When he turned around he saw this arrow pinning his shadow in place.

When he tried to have a closer inspection of the arrow, Deciduye swooped down on him, pinning the hunter in place with an arrow pointed at his face. (Hey that rhymes)

Lucille came back from grocery shopping at that exact moment and quickly got Decidueye to get off the hunter as well as apologizing to him.

The hunter wasn’t mad at all, quite the opposite actually. Rook will not stop singing praises about Decidueye, causing him to tug the vines on his head.

One time, Rook somehow managed to bribe Decidueye into helping him hunt some Savanaclaw students. Every single one of them is on high alert that day.

Ortho Shroud - Klinklang

“Amazing ! I have never seen anything like you before !”

Moves: Flash Cannon, Gear Grind, Metal Sound, Charge Beam.

While Ortho is curious about Lucille’s Pokemons in general, he is most curious about her Klinklang.

Something about it draws him in and make Ortho want to learn more about Klinklang.

Maybe it’s the fact both are mechanical beings that are somehow alive.

The way Klinklang moves intrigues Ortho too. To him, it’s mesmerising

Klinklang is quite curious about Ortho too, the boy looks like a human, but he isn’t one.

Sometimes Ortho will bring some oil from Idia’s place for Klinklang so its gears can run smoothly.

The two came up with a series of codes so that they can communicate with each other and talk about their day.

Since Klinklang tend to wander around the campus, it overhears a lot of gossips from everyone.

So during their weekly meeting, Klinklang shares everything with Ortho, who will then share the informations with Idia.

They are the best of friends and Idia approves of this friendship.

Lilia Vanrouge - Pichu

“Aww you’re so adorable ! How about you come home with me :) ?”

Moves: Thunder Shock, Tail Whip, Thunder Punch, Sweet Kiss

Pichu is a Pokemon that hatched from the previous Egg before the current one.

Lucille asked Lilia to babysit him for her because she had to work at the Mostro Lounge.

The old bat gladly accepts of course. He loves children, Pichu is a child, of course Lilia will not pass an opportunity to babysit.

Pichu is rather hyperactive, but did that stop Lilia from babying the little one? Absolutely not.

The man absolutely adores the little one, his parenting skill is superb as well.

Pichu can’t sleep? Don’t worry, Lilia is singing him a lullaby.

Sebek scared Pichu with his loud voice, causing Pichu to shock him? He is right there comforting the Tiny Mouse Pokemon and scolding his pupil.

Pichu is hungry? Lilia is already in the kitchen cooking something and tackled down to the floor by Silver.

Man became attached to Pichu and tried to adopt (kidnap) him.

Lucille has to chase him around NRC to retrieve her child back…

Item: A limited edition spring flavor of Malasada. The spring break vacationers usually crowd the stands for this coveted flavor, but you managed to grab one before they all ran out.

VICTORY

Ree isn’t the biggest fan of Malasada, but the spring flavors are some of the best, at least in their opinion. It usually takes a lot of pushing and shoving and intimidating tourists to get to the store before they all sell out, but with their recent rising fame in Alola, one of the stores actually sent one of them to shady house! With a delivery man and everything! Nobody ever delivers stuff to Po Town!

It’s one of the new limited edition spring flavors. Ree’s mouth is nearly watering. These aren’t even in stock yet — it’s a preview for when the flavors are debuted in February.

and it’s just for them.

Ree bites into the pastry, and immediately the flavor hits. It’s delicious. The sweetness would probably be overwhelming for anyone else, but, well — ree has a particular craving for it. They lick at the cream at the corners of their mouth before tearing another chunk off.

You know, maybe they should start doing interviews, if it gets them stuff like this …

It kind of sucks that Team Rocket's conclusion might just be breaking up the team. Why can't they just go back to Alola and sell more Malasadas? I mean, living in a forest with a Bewear that gives them all the food they can eat, not having to worry about the essentials that they fought so often for previously, making money that they can use exclusively for leisure. I feel like that would be the best outcome for them.

I searched my name on Klinkd-In, right? And ALL of the testimonials had puns at my expense! Faba came in to fire me after I transformed, and he took my papers and he folded them and said "Hey Johnny, you wanna see how a wormhole works? HAHAHA!!" then he tore a pencil through it! I've started getting around tripping hazards and thinking "Glad I spotted that!" I look at where my thing used to be, and I think about Ultra Space, and I go "Man, doesn't that leave a hole in my plans!" GAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Introduction

Mimikyu is a Ghost/Fairy type Pokémon that has become very popular in recent years due to its desire to make friends with people. It is one of the smallest Ghost-types, making it conveniently sized for Trainers who live in apartments, and is very well-behaved. Unlike many Pokémon, it can also thrive on any type of food, making it very easy to care for. Its unique Ability, known as Disguise, prevents it from taking damage on the first hit it receives in battle.

No one knows exactly what Mimikyu looks like, as its costume is always kept on. It may serve as protection against sunlight, and rumors state that those who see Mimikyu’s true form will become cursed and die, so the costume likely protects others as well. To be safe, it is advised not to try looking underneath Mimikyu’s costume, and it will resist these attempts violently anyway. Mimikyu is also very particular about the condition of its costume, spending all night repairing it if the neck breaks or if there are any tears in the rag.

Because Mimikyu is listed as being a potential danger to humans (although not intentionally), it requires an additional Pokémon license to legally own.

Important Considerations for Owning Mimikyu

Providing enough attention: Mimikyu craves companionship, so it will need lots of time with a Trainer or with other Pokémon.

Moveset: Mimikyu can only learn seven different attack moves on its own, so TM’s and TR’s may come in handy.

Care

Like many Ghost-types, Mimikyu has minimal nutritional requirements, so it can theoretically eat only Malasadas. However, a varied and healthy diet is essential for most Pokémon, including Mimikyu, to perform their best and to avoid boredom. An ideal diet for Mimikyu consists of Pokémon food, fruits, and vegetables. There is no specific amount of food that Mimikyu should eat daily.

In addition to good socialization, Mimikyu also thrives on behavioral enrichment. This includes items such as puzzle feeders, plush toys, cardboard boxes, and balls that are not easily popped. Recall training is also an excellent form of enrichment for any Pokémon. Use a whistle or call the Pokémon’s name, and have treats or a toy ready so that the Pokémon is motivated to come to you. When using this for play, do it while hiding out of view of your Pokémon so that it has to find you, like hide-and-seek. Mimikyu is naturally motivated to come towards people, so it does great at recall training.

I can't believe this project is already done! I've been tinkering away at this for a couple of months now and I'm very happy about the outcome overall!

Tiktok user @/phunkyspit made a wall of plushies for their house, and while I probably have enough stuffed animals to do that, I do not have the space, time or energy to dedicate myself to hang them up and getting supplies to hang them up; so I downsized it to just keychains!

Some of the key chains are obscure old deadstock or thrifted or blind boxes, some are made by independent artists that I will tag in a google doc in a reblog of this post!

Star Sending with the Virbank Baddies

The preparations

Calling the gang

Rimi explains about the Star Sending event and gives the list of characters’ wishes. They all need to focus on the Bisharp trio: Clarent, Gladius, and Sabre.

They all need to go to different places. Rimi needs to go to Shopping Mall Nine, Noelle to check the southwestern Unova, and Edin to check all of it.

Rimi’s side

Rimi arrives at Shopping Mall Nine. It is bigger and modern compared to what humans had. There’s more shops, and not only that: there’s a food court and some sort of entertainment like cinema and arcade.

Rimi arrives at the store that has some battle items. The things she needs for Sabre are: some experience candies, Eviolite, and Covert Cloak. Sure those are expensive, but she has enough money to buy them. She bought some EXP Candy L, an Eviolite, and a Covert Cloak.

The next store is called “TM Galore'' where it sells Technical Machines. It has a big variety of TMs and they are sorted by type. So, Rimi needs two TMs for those Bisharp. She needs to buy something for Clarent and Sabre. She bought TM058 Brick Break for the former and TM088 Swords Dance for the latter.

For Eviolite, she needs to make it like Sabre’s “foe” Vel. So, she put it on a green necklace that bought at the jewelry store and somehow coincidentally looks like this.

Noelle’s side

Noelle has no big tasks other than checking the southwestern Unova (from Aspertia to Virbank). The first thing she does is go to a nearby grocery store in Floccesy, her hometown. She bought 100% dark chocolate for Clarent. Noelle loved it when she was a little, though her parents hated it.

And then she goes to Virbank to visit a malasada shop where Rimi’s mother Leia works. Noelle greets her with a kind smile and asks if this shop has something sweet. And of course Leia gives her a sweetest malasada made with the sweetest. Rumor that it contains Watmel Berry but it has other sweet berries as well.

She visits her house for a sharpening stone. And she has an old whetstone that she doesn't need anymore and took it.

And it’s time to convince the people living in Aspertia. Noelle visited Diego’s house first to convince them to get a souvenir from Paldea. They both didn’t get along well, but in the end Diego gives something. It’s a small replica of Artazon’s windmill that has a painting of Sunflora. Soon after she visited Cheren High and said that someone wants to talk to him.

And what’s about the mother and son that want gifts for each other. Well, Noelle has a little Pawniard figurine that she doesn't need and of course the Dark Gem. She hopes they both like those.

Edin’s side

For Edin, he travels all across Unova, but he doesn’t need to do much, so he arrives at Undella Town to see an ocean with his eyes. He sat until sunset. It was of course very gorgeous.

The gifts

Clarent

Rimi calls Clarent to Aspertia and gives the items she wants: a dark chocolate, TM058, a windmill, and a Pawniard figurine for Gladius.

“Here they are. I hope you enjoy it.” she says it with a very kind smile “Oh, I wanna show someone. Follow me!”

They both go to Cheren High to meet with someone.

An adult Eevee? That was unexpected because all the adult Eevees are mostly evolved, while one is still unevolved. That’s why Clarent might look surprised.

Sabre

Noelle arrives at Route 20 to wait for Sabre. Soon, a small looking Bisharp arrives. Noelle gives very good smile, while she has something on her back.

She wrapped everything in a Covert Cloak. Three EXP Candies L, an TM088, and a Eviolite (she says that she took it from Vel), although she has no idea who Vel was. But somehow, it was a miracle that it the exact replica of a necklace with real Eviolite on it.

Gladius

Edin calls Gladius to the beach at Undella Town.

“Oh, hi! I hope you’re doing well as I do. Here, I got ya.” he smiles and handles some malasadas, a whetstone, and a Dark Gem. The only thing missing is training lessons because everyone in the band doesn't know any tutor. But that’s not the main reason, the reason he calls the Bisharp is this:

They both see a beautiful sunset together, until the gang arrives.

The gathering

Rimi, Noelle, and two Bisharps arrive here in Undella Town to gather everyone here together.

The band stands together and smiles.

They both say with a delightful joy: “I hope you have a great holiday this year!”

This is longest post I made here. It probably beats the long interaction post with Fern, although it was text only.

It took me month to do and half of the text is the last minute preparation. I started drawing like week or two ago. I think I'm satisfied with the result so far.

I found a way for Hau get away from Hala and go to Kalos

I imagine that Hala has to go away to other towns for Kahuna business or whatever. And since the “incident” he always takes Hau with him so he doesn’t run away back to Kalos or any other region. So now the two of them are in Hau’oli City

Hau is walking beside his grandfather when he sees something yellow and brown go behind the Malasada Shop. A plan instantly flashes in his mind and he stops Hala, asking him if he could go to the Malasada shop to get something to eat. Hala is probably very happy that his grandson is starting to go back to his old self, even if it’s just getting a food he enjoys. It’s the start of progress he tells himself

Hala tells Hau that he cannot stop for him to get his food as he has to go to the meeting very soon. Telling Hau to go to the building and sit in the waiting room until he’s done, asking him if he can do that for him, for his grandfather. And Hau reluctantly says yes

Going behind the shop he can see a tall patch of grass that’s rustling near the front, getting an empty pokeball ready he slowly parts the grass to find the Abra he saw earlier. Throwing the pokeball, it connects and makes three slow shakes before one final shake signals to Hau that the Abra has been caught. Making quick introductions, Hau tells Abra that he needs her help with teleporting away, it doesn’t have to be far, just to a different city or town and the very farthest is to another island. But he knows she to weak right now. So they make a deal, Hau helps her train to evolve and Abra, soon to be Kadabra, will teleport them away to wherever he needs to be

Diantha was nice to give him and Iris some acting lessons and tips when they asked how she can change her emotions quickly. Hopefully those lessons paid off, he’ll need to trick Hala into thinking he’s fine so he can be left alone again. Abra needs some training and time out of her pokeball, and once she evolves he’ll be long gone by the time Hala gets back home

Real quick tho damn Hau really be catching Abra with just one PokeBall huh what an icon hahaha

Anyways

I can't help but think the "acting lessons" Diantha had taught them are actually manipulation tactics and I'm just hcmdjdj

Like for Hau and Iris maybe those are acting skills and lessons, acting requires lying for it to be believable, for it to sound real, but they should also be skilled enough to not slip lest they "break character" as Dia would tell them, and surprisingly enough, Hau's a very good actor

Putting on this mask of sadness to his grandfather, but replacing that w smth else na, a new face of healing, and after catching that Abra, after hatching that plan, well... How about showing those acting skills to his friends?

Elio and Gladion were happy that Hau was starting to be his normal self again, and he asked them if they could help him train this Abra he just found, ofc the two did question him why an Abra? And he smiled oh so sadly as he looked at the mom, "it's a psychic type, right? And.. well.. miss Diantha has her own psychic type as her strongest pokemon, I guess it's just a reminder of her." The other two decided not to argue w it, despite their different opinions of the Kalos Champion, they also know how much she means to Hau, and how he actually means to Diantha, so they ended up helping him

They trained almost a week, his Abra became strong, Hau got TMs for her too, teaching her Shadow Ball and even Dazzling Gleam, and by the end of their all out training, Abra finally evolved into a Kadabra, his own Psychic being strong enough to catch even Elio's Pokemon off guard. And he thanked his friends of course, he's one step closer to his plan thanks to them, and after that rigorous training, he and Kadabra left, w Hau saying that he also needs to be prepared for "psychic surges" too, as Diantha would say, since the Abra line is one of the strongest psychic pokemon out there, and Hau first hand knows how Dia suffered from those surges bc of her own Gardevoir and bc she didn't had anyone close to her that has peychic aces to help her back when she was young

And, not to say that was a lie, but it wasn't exactly the whole truth. Hau did meditate w his Kadabra, try to anyways, tried to calm his mind, and tried to calm Kadabra's mind too, so the two of em won't suffer if Kadabra had a sudden spike in her psychic powers. But Hau also trained it to Teleport him anywhere. At first, y'know, he asked her to teleport them back to his home at Iki Town, then to Kukui's school, then the League, until she can teleport him to another island.

It's all going well, he thinks, but he knows for Kadabra to be able to actually teleport him to a different region, she should really be capable enough, so he asked one of his friends for another favour, to help him evolve Kadabra to Alakazam

I wanna say that the Link Cable does exist,,, but y'know, to highlight Hau's acting skills hahaha and hey, Gladion was happy to help him out, but they had to battle for it first, and after beating Gladion, well, yeah, they intimated the trade. It was quick, just a random Rattata that Gladion had found to trade it w Hau, and to trade his now Alakazam back to him. It's going really well, and Hau has never been so happy. He thanked his friends of course, even buying them malasadas too, and soon when Hala returns from one of their meetings again, well... I'm sure he'll read the letter Hau left at home

So, how did Soni and Happiny celebrated Deuce's birthday?

this evolved into a what if scenario aaaaaa- but it's pretty close to what I think Soni would do.

Well, it all starts in Heartslabyul, mostly with Happiny waking up before Deuce to wish him a good morning and a "Happy Birthday!" when he finally wakes up. By the time he does, Happiny is taken by Ace to breakfast where Deuce is treated to an Egg-based breakfast.

Omelet Rice made by Trey as well as Happiny doing her best to serve a glass of Oran Berry juice. Happiny tries her best to write an encouraging saying, but decides to do a whole bunch of hearts! 💕💕💕

Those hearts are a little messy, but Deuce loves them anyway. That's when Deuce is handed his letterman jacket or his Birthday Boy White Suit.

Happiny would want to wear it and Deuce lets her, thinking that she looks adorable in the outfit. He takes so many pictures and Cater does so as well.

Ace first pranks him with a gag gift (a pair of socks because track club yo) before handing off something that Deuce has been wanting for a while.

When the whole dorm celebrations are over, that's when Soni goes over and greets him Happy Birthday after dealing with the whole birthday preparations.

Deuce saw Soni running around making her rounds in the school as usual, but she also helped out with the desserts that there was a full spread of Pokepuffs, Malasada, and Poffins for people to try out. Even though Trey helped her, Deuce was grateful for the gift. Although because of that, she was pretty much busy up until that point.

Soni holds her arms out for Happiny, much to the little one's delight: "Happy Birthday, Deuce."

Deuce: "Ah, thanks Prefect! I haven't been able to talk to you much today."

Soni: "Nah, that's fine. It's your birthday."

Soni goes silent after that, cuddling with Happiny in her arms. The three of them just stand in comfortable silence before Happiny chirps, "Happiny!" Mama, don't be shy!

Deuce, having no idea of what Happiny just said: "Huh?"

Soni sighs and gestures outside where they can both be in peace. Once they're there, Soni looks around to see if there were any eavesdroppers and sees none. Letting Happiny down, she turns to the Birthday Boy who was only growing more confused. They were in the dark, so Deuce couldn't see Soni's face.

"I didn't know what to give you for your birthday. I'm not... used to these sorts of situations." A self-depreciative smile came on her face as she shrugged. "I don't get invited a lot. When I do, it's pretty boring. Frustrating really when it's a whole posturing thing and whatnot."

"Oh." Deuce didn't really know what to make of that.

"So yeah, picking a gift was tough." She fidgeted, looking uncomfortable at the admission. "And then Happiny gave me the idea of what to give, so this isn't just my gift. It's both mine and Happiny's, so make sure to thank her for this idea."

"Of course." The response was immediate.

"So," Soni took out a small box from her pocket, "Happy Birthday, Deuce."

As Deuce unwrapped it, he felt weirdly nervous. Because Soni was usually pretty calm about these things and seeing her being awkward about it made him feel awkward about it, which made it even more awkward. That all stopped once he looked at the gift itself.

It was a simple Pokeball, full-sized from its miniature form.

Deuce's breath hitched, "Prefect-"

"Happiny's been considered a Wild Pokemon for all these months. That could lead to some complicated things with ownership should some asshole try and capture her," Soni cut him off, not looking directly at him. "So it felt right to do this, especially when you're travelling with Happiny back home in a few days- Oof!"

Deuce caught Soni in a tight hug, a laugh escaping him at the joy of this level of trust. "Thank you so much, Soni!"

Winter Break was rough, especially when he'd been part of the reason why Soni had been upset. Happiny had been looking forward to going on a trip with the two of them when Final Exams broke out. When she'd been dragged into another Overblot right after dealing with one, Deuce was unsure if she was alright to even talk about the whole mess of the contracts. When they all talked to one another and why they did what they did, it didn't immediately fade away. It took time, but they eventually got back to how they were before.

Soni was protective over her stash of Pokeballs due to what they meant in her world. Power, companionship, control, all sorts of things that Deuce pieced together over time. For her to give him a Pokeball meant so much more than words could ever hope to describe.

"Alright, alright." Deuce could hear the telltale sigh of her fond exasperation. "You don't need to do this much."

"Happiny Happiny!"

"You don't need to point that out, Happiny." That made Deuce curious. Soni shifted in his arms at that, her face still cloaked in darkness. "Honestly, I don't know where you got that attitude from. ...Come over here."

Happiny jumped towards them both, a cheerful giggle escaping her. "Happiny Hap Hap!"

"Ah, Prefect, should I...?"

"It's a simple tap to the head. It's real easy."

Deuce kneeled down to Happiny, "Here we go, Happiny."

Happiny took that chance to boop herself against the Pokeball, disappearing in a flash of red. The device wiggled. Wiggled twice. And chimed.

"You know what to do at this point?"

"I've watched you do this so many times. It'd be embarrassing not too." Deuce grinned widely as he threw the Pokeball into the air. "C'mon out, Happiny!"

As Happiny emerged from the light and threw her little arms around him, Deuce couldn't have hoped for a better birthday.
