i don't want to pit two kings against each other!

But seriously, i think both drake and lp have different strengths when it comes to parenting - drake is the worrier, and lp is the more relaxed, grounded one. they balance each other out really well!

but god help anyone who tries to hurt their kid, cuz i can imagine both of them willing to unleash hell

I know they probably just meant the Uncle Launchpad thing in LGD as a joke but I like looking at it seriously instead. It’s like, you can tell Scrooge and Donald are role models that he really looks up to. He’s seen them with the kids on dangerous missions, helping them learn and grow, and he’s seen them support the triplets when they’re dealing with the loss of their mom. He sees how Scrooge always tries to help people and how Donald always tries to protect them, and Launchpad decides hey, I want to be that person. He ends up with Drake and Gosalyn and tries his best at every turn to comfort them, encourage them, and support them. He’s Drake’s biggest fan and the one comforting Gosalyn when she’s upset and the one always trying to help with the stress of what they’re going through. He wants to be like Scrooge and Donald because he wants to support his new family in the same ways that they do theirs.
