Am 25. November fand die Abschlussveranstaltung der Nordcup-Radmarathon Serie in Schleswig-Holstein statt. Ich war auch dort und habe mir mein Finisher-Trikot abgeholt (und netterweise noch zwei BOC Gutscheine gewonnen ;-) ).

Die Veranstaltung war erwartungsgemäß eher langweilig, das Buffet sah zwar nett aus, als Veganer gab es für mich leider mal wieder nahezu nichts. Lustig war, das ich fast keinen der Menschen wieder erkannt habe, so ein hautenges Lycra entstellt die Menschen ja doch sehr. ;-)

Außerdem ist die Radmarathon Scene offensichtlich wenig divers, viele mittelalte Männer, sehr wenige Frauen. Ach ja, immerhin wurde mehrfach betont, dass es das Finisher Trikot im nächsten Jahr auch in einer Damen Variante geben soll, die Veranstaltungsreihe gibt es ja auch erst seit 25 Jahren ...

Die eigentlichen Touren waren aber sehr nett und ich werde auch im nächsten Jahr wieder an einige teilnehmen.

Longest ride in bloody ages. Was fun, but hard work in places. Traffic in sandbanks nuts as usual. In road bike & after so long riding mountain bike the position (which as always been uncomfortable) really isn’t great. I think raising the handlebars will do the trick. Just need to get around to doing it. I got in & the littlest wanted to go for a run. So a mini brick session, we’ll sort of. With the heat, she didn’t want to run far! Legs like jelly for the first 100 yards, but then got used to it. I think I could have pushed 5km if I needed too. Nice to be out & about.
