Spoilers for Sparkle and Black Swan's companion mission in 2.0!!

Sorry, Black Swan and Sparkle fans, im only here to talk about Sampo here.

More specifically, the end of the quest, where he and Sparkle are having a conversation.

The whole mask thing aside, they talk about Jarilo-VI, too. And it just makes me think..

Sampo actually really does care about that planet, it seems. He does something that, according to Sparkle, is out of character for him. He asks for his mask back and says that he will take the front stage, more or less, all of this for a seemingly ordinary planet.

And i feel like this isn't pre-Jarilo-VI quest because, why would they be in Penacony? I think we will have more main Belobog story... maybe.

Anyways. Masked Fools don't really care for things. So him being so involved in the matters of a frozen planet is kinda sweet?

He doesn't want Sparkle to help him either, because he knows how she is.

I feel like: he either got attached to Belobog, or he wants that world to be his sole stage with no one to ruin it. I have a feeling it's the former.

Also something that dawned on me while writing this:

If there is a catastrophe in Belobog like how Sparkle insinuates. And Sampo wants to get involved (assuming to not make it go byebye), wouldn't this make him want to preserve the planet? Haha see like preservation- and the Belobog citizens following the preser- i'm gonna leave now.

I saw the barbie movie btw. I have... opinions...

#idk man. its fine.#i expected better tbh #costume and visuals 10/10 tho #plot got lost along the way a bit and the ending was disapointing in multiple factors #the way rhe problems got solved just felt very. idk? lazy?#didnt like a whole lot of the dialogue either but that is mostly just a personal thing i think #it was giving twitter feminism and a little bit of 'i hate men'#alan was fine tho he did well i wanted to see more of his little dance moves #enjoyed all of the horse content. im just ken slaps. i want kens mink coat tbh #idk i just feel like the plot and message got a little very lost and i didnt really like the most clear message that was only clear bc the-#-other message got lost or vague and was dropped for a moment

for a romhack thats supposedly about darkrai, eots is reallyyyyyyyy obsessed with chatot. it also reallyyyyyyyy hates chatot.

#we gave the game an unreliable protagonist and narrator who is meant to be kinda terrible bc this is an ‘’off’’ take on the game #meant to feel uncanny and its supposed to be uncomfortable and creepy when the guild members reject you for your behavior #but god chatot is apparently sooooooo nasty and evil and lazy and corrupt we gotta introduce a whole new guy #just to back up the hero that yep!!! hes evil incarnate and nasty!!#the hero is unreliable except for when we wanna vent abt the characters we dont like #its not even that i like chatot and want to defend him it just feels so exhausting and weird #like i thought this was about darkrai why are you spending all these scenes talking about how chatot is horrible and mean #im sorry im not over brelooms backstory. its supposed to be unfair and gross and ik he didnt exactly deserve to get evicted or anything #but seriously???? it comes across like a teen throwing a fit that his mom asked him to do the dishes for one night #and then got upset when the dishes werent done the next morning and asked their mom why she didnt just suck it up and do them #i feel like a factor here is that people forget that the apprentices arent kids. even hero and partner while implied to be young can be seen #as young adults but everyone else comes across like an adult to me. so its not like theyre exploiting babies #echoed voice #it sucks bc other than this i like this romhack quite a bit! i think the stuff with hero is really interesting #i like the second timeline i like the uncomfortable changes i like how you actually make partner worse as an inversion to the vanilla game #but when the chatot stuff happens it takes me out of it. free my man he did some bullshit but not all that

i know im deffo not the first one to complain about it but i really don’t like how the netflix bee and puppycat condensed down the first season and the pilot partially as well. the original season one gave you time to get to know the characters personalities i feel? moreso than the characters importances plotwise, like season one had a charm to it and while it could be a little hard to follow at times i suppose, it gave you time to piece things together. and cutting down the pilot and season one down into three episodes really feels like such a disservice to bee and puppycat to me. like i still enjoy the new episodes but i’m really missing getting to see bee and puppycat’s relationship towards each other grow as it does in the first season. especially with the absence of bee’s line, “if you want, i can help you figure out a nice ending” in reference to puppycat’s story... the smushed together, more of a recap version of the season one episodes really made things feel a bit too rushed, at least to me

#i'm also just really missing the jellyfish song and cardamon screentime #speaking of cardamon #i also majorly didn't like cardamon's voice in the first few episodes #at least the fact that they didn't stick with that and kept his younger-sounding voice in the lazy in space episodes #it was jarring honestly #but anyways yeah i'm just so sad that we got a cutdown version of season one instead of just season one reanimated?#like i feel i wouldve been happier w having s1 just be reanimated to fit lazy's artstyle #however on a nicer note. i did kinda like how much more obvious they play it that puppycat is the space outlaw #like the little 'i'm not a child anymore im a big ass man' bit was very nice and i liked it a lot #i just miss the iconic little window scene that the og pilot leaves off on #and the kinda like air of mystery around puppycat/the outlaw in the og #it gave you space to wonder and draw your own conclusions instead of spelling it out and putting the plot right in your face immediately #like how they do with bee's dad. im VERY slash pos that we get grownup bee's dad appearance and voicelines and stuff but #i wish it hadnt happened. in the pilot. i wish the audience was given more time #i wouldve liked it more of the bee's dad/baby bee bit was more towards the end of ''s1'' or at least after the episode w glitch gorge #or even in lazy in space #just not the pilot #one of the charms of og bapc was that you pieced things together slowly i think. at least to me. plot wasn't immediately shoved at you #the way it is here? yk?#i hope i make sense #i will say though #when i opened up netflix and saw the first episode title was 'again for the first time' i nearly cried #bapc my beloved #bee and puppycat #bapc #bee and puppycat spoilers #bapc spoilers
