The Mission, Death only to come, or is that so?

Tw:death, blood, injury, shooting, stabbing, fighting, swearing, opened wounds and anything else the do in a mission.

Pulling on your boots, you knew what was to come. Tying your laces as tight as possible, you felt a wave of mixed emotions but you knew this mission was made for you, why would they ask you otherwise?

Pulling the bullet proof vest over your head and placing it comfortably on your shoulders; you grabbed your helmet and left the room.

Walking down the corridor you kept your head down, not wanting to make eye contact with any other Sargent as you walked by. Most looked at you, knowing what was about to come as well as it was spread across base like a fire in a forest.

Walking out, you took one big breath and looked up. Seeing the helicopter you were going in for the last time. You walked on over and spotted Price waiting for you. You walked over and greeted “Captain” Price replied “you ready? Solider?” You nodded and spoke “why’s shouldn’t I? Eh?” You flashed a smile trying to settle the unwanted nerves. He placed a hand on your shoulder and spoke “you know this was made for you, your our top shoulder this mission will be like any other mission for you, come on then let’s get you ready.”

Sitting in the helicopter as it flew over many places, you sat there tapping your fingers to your favourite song on the seat belt as you gripped your hands tightly to it. You breathed deeply, you knew if something went wrong it was over.

You heard Price over the intercoms “right Y/c/n, time to get ready. You got two minutes!” You nodded and answered “copy that, Cap” you got ready. Standing over by the entry you got ready for the worst.

Seeing the big helicopter door open, you took one last deep breath and heard Price shout “anytime now!” You nodded and watched as he did a count down on his hand. Seeing Price nod you went, jumping out of the plain you were prepared.

You pulled the cord last minute and felt your body be tugged as the wind caught onto your parachute.

Landing almost perfectly, you started heading towards the hot spots of the organised crime gangs that were known for their brutality and kill counts on the military.

Holding onto your gun as you quietly make your way into the abandoned town. You watched your every move. Hiding behind a large dumpster you quietly breathed through your nose as you listen the some of the gang members speak. One spoke “listen, Mr.Owen said he’s staying at the hotel on east, he said be there for the meeting at five, top floor, got it?” You heard some reply.

Quietly walking behind buildings as you made your way towards the hotel, you were about to cross a small alley. But you watched as a gang member walked out of the alley; he didn’t notice you luckily. Creeping over to him you placed your hand on his mouth and stabbed him in the neck. You felt his body go limp, so you pulled him aside and hid him behind some dumpster.

Moving forward, you sat the flickering lights of the hotel. Hiding behind a building you peaked your head forward and watched as a few people left the building.

Quickly running towards the side of the hotel, you looked around to see if anything could be used to get into the building.

Seeing a thick and sturdy looking pipe, you grabbed the sides where it has be bolted to the wall and started to climb. You noticed there was about five floors, you muttered “fuck sake” you continued to climb.

As you got there you decided to head to the roof as it’s a better approach. You saw the vent shafts scattered everywhere. Luckily you had Price to help you get blue prints of the buildings in the area.

So you pulled it out of your pocket and quickly scanned the blue print. Seeing the quickest routes. You started to unscrew the screws off of the vent shaft, you thought about it for a moment then thought ‘fuck it’. You grabbed a tear gas grenade. Pulling on your mask, you pulled the small cord and threw it down the shaft.

Making your way through, you dropped down to a corridor. Putting a silencer on your gun you suit few of the people quickly as they tried to charge at you.

Hiding in a doorway, you used your snake camera and shoved it in the small gap at the bottom of the door. It showed that, that was the very room that the gang lord was hiding in.

You had put away the snake camera and decided to get two AO-63. Thankfully there was a helicopter up in the air helping you out. You bursted into the room as you booted the door handle off its hinges and open fired. You noticed there were less people than expected, thankfully. You dropped the one gun as it ran out of ammunition, you held onto the other and shot the rest. You were only left with the gang lord now.

He quickly grabbed a gun and shot a few bullets, hearing six gunshots you felt two land one in your leg and one in your shoulder. You shouted “put the gun down now!” He shouted “when would I listen to a pig like you?!” You said “put it down or you don’t make it out alive!” He started to run over to you. You were told to try and keep him alive, so you shot him in the shoulder. He still ran at you, shoving you against the wall you demanded “I’ll shoot you if you don’t let go, now!” He said “and who’s letting you?”; you smirked giving the man chills as you got closer to his face and threatened “who’s stopping me?” With that, you quickly grabbed your pocket knife and stabbed him in the side and twisted it. You felt his grip loses on your shoulder so you grabbed his shirt and said “now fucking cooperate or I’ll show you that no one is fucking stopping me!”

Cuffing him, you tied him to a chair after patting him down. You quickly grabbed things that could look like evidence and some of the things he owned like drugs and what not.

Placing them in a big evidence bag, you untied the man and grabbed your handgun; placing it to his throat you both walked down the stairs and towards outside.

Seeing the helicopter, you thought you were done. All of a sudden, someone came out and started to open fire at you. You felt the man shove you out of his way. Luckily back up was coming, you watched as a few recruits you helped when they first joined started to run after the man. You felt multiple burning sensations running down your leg. You watched as Price started to run towards you seeing him kneel down besides you as you fell to the ground; he spoke “can you hear me?!” You nodded and he said “right, hold onto me I’ll help you get to the heli!”. As you got closer you heard Price mention “thought you were dead!” You said “no, the reaper got me covered! But not covered enough clearly.” He spoke “right, Sargent put all your weight on me I’ll help you get onto the heli” two other soldiers walked out of the helicopter and rushed over to you two. You watched as the one went on one knee and spoke “this is gunna hurt, ok?” You nodded and said “just get it over with!” You felt him tighten string around your leg to cut off the blood flow as you started to bleed out badly.

After some time, you had finally landed. Getting off of the helicopter, you felt grateful. Grateful that you made it to see another day. Yes, you are in a lot of agony like extreme agony but that’s didn’t matter as you were still able to breath and to still be alive. You sighed, a sigh of relief as you saw Ghost waiting for you.

You were rushed over on a small stretcher and he spoke “thought you wouldn’t of made it” he spoke as he walked by the side of you. You scrunched your face with pain. You spoke “towards the end of the mission, neither did I” He nodded and as he continued to walk along side of you.

After a while, you sat on the bed in fresh clothing and had a few stitches and grateful you didn’t have your leg amputated. Hearing a knock, you spoke “come in!” Seeing four people walk in you watched as your team entered the room.

Soap spoke “you made it!” He was the first to hug you. Gaz said “here, you deserve it.” He placed some chocolates on your bed side table along with some of your favourite drink. Price asked “so how you feeling now?” You answered “feeling like shot but grateful I’m still alive.” Ghost spoke “we all are grateful for that as well.”

The team you were put into wasn’t just a team, it was a family. Task Force 141 wasn’t like your ordinary team, it was something else. You were glad this team was brought together the team shows that you can do anything and everything also you all believe in each other. You all trusted each other another key thing to have. At the end of the day you were more than a team, you were family.
