So I think it’s cool and all that Moff Gideon wanted force wielding clones but did we really have to sit through that Dr Pershing & Elia Kane episode to understand that? And for them to be killed instantly anyway?? Like I’m just??? So confused???

So, the season three finale has me thinking of my fic Riduurok. Its very, very much about recognizing and respecting culture. If in his birth culture, Din is the family name, do I need to go in and change his given name to Djarin? Its important to the story to respect all of the cultural backgrounds, but its hard to tell what the background is here.

Probably one of the biggest shockers to me from the season finale is that “din” is the Mandalorian’s surname

Mando season 3 finale thoughts
Oh hey, Axe isn't being a dick - nice!
Ohhhh myyyy goooddd it's a jetpack battle!!!!! It's a jetpack battle this is the coolest EVER!!!!
Lol Gideon you absolute vader fanboy mwahahahaaa. Amazing to me that someone can be a legitimately intimidating villain and also an absolute poser. Also, those points on your helmet look like kitty ears.
Ahahahaaaaa look at this red guard idiot who is trying to continuously nunchuck his electrowhip at Grogu - like dude you are the most ineffective of all time, just stomp on him, stop wasting time trying to be cool.
Gideon starts monologuing again - classic. I love this idiot. He's about to die, isn't he. Look at my girl's face as she watchs Din come up behind him. Yep! Ahahahhaaaaa!
Sooo proud of Grogu for becoming a protective defensive fighter instead of a little rage goblin! A true Jedi trait.
Yoooooo! Onscreen Mandalorian adoption!!!!
I think the Armorer is very proud of Din and has been angling for this the whole time. I'm assuming that the surname first means that's from Din's birth culture, since the native Mandos haven't ever introduced themselves that way?
Ahhhh lighting the forge!!!!!
IG!!!!! Finally!!!!
Omg that was the dumbcutest ending ever. I snort laughed. Just a dad, kickin back on the porch next to his shiny classic muscle car while his kid plays in the yard. Truly, he has achieved The Dream. So happy for him.
*Somewhere, a comm rings and Ahsoka answers.*
"Hello? Oh. Hey Bo-Katan. Congratulations on taking back Mandalore."
"Yeah, thanks, so.... You know how to fix a broken lightsaber, right?"
".... Why!?"
Jokes and the Darksaber being cool af aside though, I do think it's really wonderful symbolism that Mandalorians are ready to move forward instead of continuously looking back.

You're probably not gonna be surprised since I spent all of Bad Batch screaming about Cody, but...

I’m so scared right now. Am I not the only one fucking SCARED?!? How is everyone staying so calm!!
My body literally cannot handle the stress
I can’t risk starting my year long depression right before having to go to work, and I most definitely won’t be able to wait a whole day to know.
Somebody just tell me when if it’s safe to watch. You can find me crying in the corner
