equites alati — the knights of the winged horse
Though Lord Nicholas Lannister commands thousands of The Westerlands’ Royal Cavalry as Captain of the Cavalry, the Heir of Lannisport is also leader of an elite group of knights known as the Equites Alati. A battalion of forty-nine — seven units of seven each — rigorously trained horsemen, these prestigious positions go only to the noblest and fiercest of soldiers from His Majesty, King Tyland’s, army.
These soldiers are trained in a wide variety of fighting styles, but focus primarily on horse related combat. The battalion is known across The Westerlands for their extreme proficiency in lance, sword, spear, archery, and so forth on horseback. The Equites Alati are said to be some of the fastest riders in Westeros, and are expected to uphold daily rigorous training sessions, and adhere to a strict code of obedience and loyalty to The Crown.
Cavalry sculpted to be as refined and deadly as possible, the battalion ride atop white horses, and sport golden armor with winged helmets. The order of the Equites Alati is signified by a white winged horse on a gold background. They are used for covert military operations, travel guards to The Royal Family, and sometimes serve as the Royal Cavalry's Vanguard — they serve His Majesty in all things, and strive to uphold his law and order, as well as The King’s Peace.

14:03 — you need to weigh your options, all you do is talk about the dream or whatchucallit? is it everything you wanted? is it big enough for the two of us? what's a couple more, maybe two of us? | WESTSIDE by keshi
"it's always like this!" you threw your hands in the air, scoffing in enough annoyance you felt it rip at your throat.
chan shrugged, just as annoyed as you, "what? what's always like this?" he motioned his hands around, his gruff australian accent echoing in the empty dorm, "what possibly could be just as bad as this?"
you waved your hand at him, "you! you're always like this!" you shouted, "you're always too busy for the tiniest things!"
he rolled his eyes, sitting back on the couch, sipping from the glass coca-cola bottle, "like, what?"
you rubbed your temples, "look at the date."
"what?"
"just look! i'm asking you to look at the fucking date." you yelled.
chan picks up his phone and read the numbers across the screen, his eyes widening with shock, "oh, fuck."
you curled your lips, "yeah. now you see why i'm overreacting." you walked off, grabbing your coat.
chan stood up, "y/n," he cursed to himself, "shit, i'm so sorry. i've been really busy—"
"no," you shook your head, "no, because that's your excuse every single fucking time." you wanted to push him, and you wanted to smash a plate over his head, but you restrained yourself, "you were busy? with what this time? production? choreography? i ask for one day! one day out of every single day you work and you can't even do that." you fixed your jacket over your shoulders, "did you ever think that, i don't know, maybe, just maybe, i want to spend a little time with my boyfriend!"
"y/n, it wasn't like that, i promise you." he mumbled, "everything has been moving fast paced and i just wanted to finish everything all at once and i knew i couldn't— it just all slipped my mind."
you pressed your tongue against your cheek, smiling to yourself, "and you end up crashing? you try to catch the time and plan your day? i don't blame you for chasing after your dreams, i don't. i never have. why do you think i dated you? you have big dreams, huge dreams, in fact. and i have been there for you every. single. damn. time." you emphasized, feeling tears rolling down your cheeks as your voice cracked, "i needed you there. and you left me." your lip shook.
chan stammered, "i... i know... i know. and i deserve that." he whispered, "i know."
"no, you don't know." you got closer to him, looking him in the face, "you don't know what i had to go through just to get to this point. i sat at that table for three hours before i realized you weren't coming. three! i looked like an idiot."
"i'm sorry."
your hands shook, "you're not sorry. because if you were, you wouldn't have done it in the first place." you felt like ripping your hair out, felt like screaming, but you pushed that away, focusing all on the anger and sadness and anxiety slipping past your lips, "you have always put me on the back burner and expected me to boil over before you do anything for me."
chan looked at his feet, feeling his own tears running down his face, keeping quiet.
you pulled open the door, "you need to start thinking about it. before you do anything." you looked at him, "choose wisely. you need to see if anything is big enough for the both of us." you stepped outside, letting chan stand there before you slammed the door.
walking to the end of the stairs, you caught the others climb up the steps, just as you began to pull the dorm key around the keyring.
"hey, y/n, what's up?" hyunjin smiled just as you passed.
turning to him, you dropped the key in his hands, your eyes glistening under the light, "do whatever you need to with my clothes. throw them out the window for all i care, i'll bring a box."
jisung stopped you as you continued around the stairs, "hey, where are you going?"
"no where." you shrugged, "i'll see you all later." you shrugged.
the other's all turned to one another, shrugging just as they continued up the stairs, opening the door with the key you just dropped into hyunjin's hand.
chan looked up, hopeful, only to break down in tears once again.
"woah, what happened here?" seungmin whispered, "are you okay?"
chan turned away, leaning against the wall of the hallway, and kicked it, "she left."
"what?" they all gasped.
"she left me." he whispered, the sadness dripping off his tongue.
felix approached his member, and rubbed his shoulder, "did she say why?"
chan's face contorted, "i got caught up with work again... and i missed the lunch she's been planning for months." he covered his face, crying into his hands.
"over a lunch date?" minho whispered softly.
chan shook his head, "no, her parents were there." he mumbled, "it wasn't just any lunch. it was the lunch i was going to first meet her parents."
"holy shit." jisung bit the inside of his cheek, "dude, you really fucked up."
chan nodded, feeling his heart beating out of his chest and the more tears rolled down his face, "i did. really badly."
