the best part abt Maniac (2018) is that it is the opposite of a show that you wish you could watch again for the first time. the more you watch the better it gets
The miniseries Maniac on Netflix is one of my favorite shows of all time, and I think it's criminally underrated, so I made it into a vintage comic book.
“My reality is that I’ve been depressed. And I have been for a very long time” 🌈
Digital, me, 2023
Trying my hand at painted portraits and working on subtle but intense expressions using paint alone. No colour picking either. From my favourite show I rewatch instead of showering.
My eyes hurt and I need a blindfold for the next few weeks.
Maniac (Netflix) does not get enough love on this site and I'm surprised.
Practical effects, exploring trauma in dream sequences, a sentient supercomputer, a retrowave setting, Emma Stone and Jonah Hill nailing their roles flawlessly..where's the love?
are there any schizospecs and those with bpd (and any with similar experiences) who have seen Netflix’s Maniac? If so, how would you say it portrays them?
“I had a plan. We were gonna go somewhere together. We were in a car. We were driving really fast. Someone was chasing us, I don’t know who. It felt like an escape. I was just laughing. And I had this huge smile on my face. It hurt it was so big. We were just two people looking out for each other.”
AND EPISODE 10 !!! THAT HAPPENS !!! IT LITERALLY HAPPENS !!! THERE ARE TEARS IN MY EYES !!!!
