RIGHT WHERE I WANT TO BE : ̗̀➛ SIRIUS BLACK
summary: it's only when lily accidentally spills amortentia on you and all you can smell is cigarettes and dog fur that you realize you're in love with sirius — probably the only person in the world you shouldn't be in love with.
"Oh, crap!" Lily seems on the verge of panic as she stares at the fresh stain on your clothes. "I'm so sorry!"
Somewhat shocked, you reach your hand to the front of your uniform and try to rub it away. It's no use. "It's okay," you assure her gently, relieved that the liquid didn't spill on the clean set of clothes you were folding instead, "it was an accident."
You put the clothes safely away in the trunk near your bed. They still have the fresh and clean scent of lavender. Your uniform, however…
Lily points her wand at your chest, and the stain quickly disappears. She had rushed through the entrance of the dormitory fast as lightning, crashing right into you and spilling…
Well, what exactly?
"Lily," you bring a hand to your own face, sniffing, then sniffing again. "What is this? It smells like a wet dog and-"
Your eyes meet and you immediately dislike the look on her face. Too much restrained excitement slowly bubbling up...
"-cigarettes…" you trail off, some sort of realization dawning on you way too late.
It can't be.
Lily bites her lower lip as if trying to hold back a smile. "Is that what it smells like to you?"
You also catch the scent of quill ink and freshly brewed coffee, so it can only be…
You put your hand away from your nose as if it's on fire.
"Tell me this is not what I think this is."
"If you're not thinking of Amortentia, then yes."
"Why would you brew Amortentia?!"
"For Professor Slughorn," she sees the confusion etched on your face and looks positively horrified. "Not for Professor Slughorn to drink! Ew! I said I'd like to try brewing one because it's, you know, a bit complicated and I've never tried before. He said he'd give Gryffindor some points if I succeeded. I didn't know you would… you know, smell Sirius."
"I never said I smelled him!"
"Okay! Okay," Lily raises both hands in surrender. Then, quieter, she adds, "You can pretend all you want."
You sigh. "Did you only have this vial?"
"Well, there should be some potion left in the cauldron, I think."
Great. An opportunity to escape this beyond strange situation. "I'll go get it for you."
"But I-"
You're out the Gryffindor common room before Lily has a chance to question your offer. The need to get away from that impending conversation is stronger than anything else right now.
Your heart is racing as you walk through the corridors of the castle, heading towards the dungeons, where Potions class usually take place. Each step is an effort to calm your turbulent mind and find some peace.
Upon reaching the Potions classroom, you welcome the silent space as you enter. The characteristic smell of magical ingredients and herbs fills your nostrils, bringing a familiar and almost comforting sensation… until you catch that smell. Amortentia.
You look around, searching for Lily's cauldron, which she mentioned leaving behind.
It's not hard to find; the smell is quite distinct, enchanting, all the things you love most in the world somehow united in a single aroma.
The cauldron is sitting on one of the workbenches. You approach cautiously, making sure not to knock anything over. Then you rummage through the shelves for an empty vial and pour some of the potion into it, feeling like you're doing something wrong even though Lily had Slughorn's permission.
The door opens, and you almost drop a row of glass bottles as you turn to look.
"What are you doing here?" he asks.
It's Sirius. Of course, it's him.
He closes the door behind him, and your heart skips a beat as it usually does whenever he's around. He's wearing the Gryffindor uniform, the first two buttons undone, revealing a patch of delicate skin just below his neck.
You don't need to wonder how he got there or why. Chances are, he extracted every piece of information he needed from Lily with little to no effort.
"What are you doing?" he asks calmly. You, on the other hand, don't feel calm at all.
"Nothing, just..."
"Just?" He takes a step closer, and you instinctively move away from the workbench, trying not to show the nervousness you truly feel.
"I just came to get something," you say.
Sirius gives a suspicious glance at the cauldron. "Is it a love potion?" He's a skilled wizard. Skilled enough to know the answer to that question, yet he waits for you to respond.
"Lily made it," you say defensively, holding up the vial containing the potion to illustrate your point unnecessarily.
"And what scent do you smell?" he questions, with a genuine curiosity in his tone that catches you off guard. "What does the potion smell like to you?"
"Lily told you," it's far from a question.
But Sirius has a knack for playing games.
"She told me what?"
"You know what."
This time, you step back as he advances, unable to help yourself, swallowing hard and Sirius notices. He takes another step forward, and you take another step back.
"Sirius," you warn.
In return, Sirius says your name, his tone lighter, more playful, soft as a feather. Then, another step.
You nearly bump your hip against one of the workbenches as you take another desperate step back. Sirius, being Sirius, raises an eyebrow, making no effort to hide his amusement.
It's unfair. It's simply unfair that he's so good-looking, starting at you without feeling the need to averting his gaze. "You don't have to do this," you find yourself saying.
Sirius seems genuinely puzzled.
"Do what?"
You steal a glance in your peripheral vision. The room won't go on forever; you need to say something to get out of this situation before he gets too close. You don't trust yourself near Sirius.
"Turn me down. Be all nice-" you stutter. He keeps advancing toward you. Back almost against the wall, you dodge another workbench and turn to the left, trying to prevent him from cornering you.
Sirius chuckles. "Is that what you think?"
"I'm a big girl. I can take rejection."
He glances in the direction of the cauldron. "Do you want to know what scent I smell?"
"No."
"Leather-"
"Sirius-"
"Gasoline," he raises his chin, nose in the air as if enjoying one scent after another. "Apple pie."
For a moment, you close your eyes. "Stop it."
"And lavender."
Your heart is pounding in your chest. He's not being serious, a little voice in your mind insists. It can't be serious. He's just teasing you... or maybe just being a good friend. Too good a friend.
It would be easier if he wasn't. If he were less kind to you, less handsome, less charming.
It's not easy.
You're breathless, trying to keep your distance from Sirius as he sets a slow advance, a constant tease. It's an internal battle between the desire to give in to the attraction you feel for him and the need to protect yourself — but the latter wins, for now.
"Sirius," you plead, your voice quiet, "stop"
He pauses for a moment, his gray eyes fixed on yours. "You think I'm joking, don't you? You think I'm just being nice?"
"I... I don't know, Sirius. It's so...confusing."
He takes yet another step towards you, his lips curling into a challenging smile. Always challenging. "Confusing or scary?"
The tension between you two is palpable, and you wonder if he can hear the rapid beating of your heart, threatening to break out of your rib cage any given moment. You know you're fighting your own feelings, afraid of surrendering to something that may - and probably will - end in heartbreak.
"It's not fair," you whisper, trying to keep your voice steady. "It's not fair that you're so... so-"
"So what?" he teases, closer. "So handsome? So charming? So... irresistible?"
You can tell he's somehow having fun. You don't understand how he can maintain a playful tone in a moment like this.
You catch a whiff of his cologne, feel the warmth of his body, and your heart races once again. If there's a way to prevent Sirius from getting what he wants, you don't know what it is. "So confusing," you finish, almost in a whisper. "You confuse the hell out of me."
Sirius pauses for a moment, his eyes locked with yours, and you momentarily catch a flicker of something deeper in this playful gaze. He slowly raises a hand and gently, gentler than ever, caresses your face, his fingers tracing a delicate path along your skin.
"I don't see how I could be confusing you," he murmurs, his voice soft and husky. "I thought I was being pretty clear..." It's teasing, of course it is; when it comes to Sirius, few things aren't.
But there's something else behind it, too.
The air grows heavier.
"You're not clear about anything, Sirius," you reply, your voice faltering slightly. "I never know what you're thinking. I never know what you really mean."
"Maybe you're just not paying attention."
You furrow your brow, confused by Sirius' response. He's playing with you, as he always does, but this time it feels more intense, more meaningful. You struggle against the temptation to give in completely, to say something you might not be able to take back.
"I do pay attention, Sirius," you respond, your voice showing determination you're not entirely sure you feel. "It's you who likes to make everything more difficult than it needs to be."
He moves closer once again, so close now that you can feel his breath against your skin, the tip of his nose an inch away from touching yours.
"Do you want me to be clearer?" he whispers, voice laced with a hint of his usual mischief. "Make it easier?"
You swallow, feeling your heart race. You know you can't admit your feelings for him, you can't let your defenses down. Not when he makes a point to hide comfortably behind a facade, away from anything that makes him feel vulnerable.
You need honesty.
"Yes," you whisper, your voice almost faltering. "Yes, I do."
Sirius pauses for a moment, eyes searching yours, and you can feel your breath catch in your throat. Then, slowly, he moves closer and closer still, until his lips almost touch yours.
There is a feeling that you can't quite put into words.
"I want you," he murmurs, an admission that hangs in the air like a charged electric current. "I want to be with you. I want you to be happy– I'll even accept your awful taste in music," he adds with a playful smirk, teasingly referencing your occasional guilty pleasure for a particular genre of music that he often mocks.
A laugh escapes your lips, a combination of relief and affection. His sincerity is pretty close to melting away any remaining doubts that linger in your heart. "I have great taste in music," you state playfully.
Sirius brushes the side of his nose against yours affectionately. "Sometimes," he gives in, voice filled with genuine warmth.
You lean into his touch, savoring the tenderness and intimacy of the moment. It's as if the world around you has faded away, leaving only the two of you in this bubble of shared emotions.
"Sometimes?" you raise an eyebrow, pretending to be offended.
He chuckles, a low and melodic sound that resonates deep within your chest, a sound you don't get to hear as often as you'd like. "You're lucky you're pretty," he teases, his voice filled with affectionate playfulness.
"Oh?"
"I have a soft spot for pretty girls."
You roll your eyes but can't help the smile that forms on your lips. "Flattery will get you nowhere, Black."
Sirius leans in and presses a soft kiss to your cheek, pulling away with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Who said I was trying to get anywhere?" he whispers, fingers trailing along the curve of your waist, drawing you closer. "I'm already where I want to be."
Your heart swells with warmth, and you can feel a blush creeping up your cheeks.
"Smooth talker."
It doesn't sound like an accusation when you're about to kiss him.

"There you are, angel!" James gushes as you walk in the door. "We've been waiting, where've you been?"
You stop short, caught offguard by the onslaught of attention as three pairs of eyes pin you in front of the door. Your boyfriends are all sitting at the table, untouched bowls of pasta in front of them and one by your empty chair.
"Sorry," you say slowly, easing your bag off your shoulder and taking off your shoes. "I didn't realize you were waiting. Liam wanted to show me some new music he's found, so I stayed late." You hustle to your chair, and James begins shoveling pasta into his mouth eagerly.
"Oh, Liam asked you to stay," Sirius says drily, stabbing at his bowl with a fork. "Awesome."
You frown. Liam started at your work a couple of months ago, and the two of you had hit it off immediately. He was funny, you liked a lot of the same things, and everyone who you'd introduced him to adored him. Everyone, except your boyfriends. "He didn't ask me to stay, I offered because I wanted to hear it. And I didn't ask you to wait up for me, either."
James swallows. "We tried to call you, and texted you a bunch," he says, and the quiet of his voice is so unlike him that your anxiety instantly heightens.
You whip out your phone, seeing missed calls and texts from each of the boys taking up the entire screen. You'd forgotten to turn the sound back on after your shift.
"I'm sorry," you say, putting it away, and you mean it, but none of the boys really seems to want to look at you.
And as quickly as your shame rose to the surface, indignation comes in to replace it. This is so unlike them. Sirius will occaisionally make a teasing comment about you leaving them for one of your celebrity crushes, but none of your boyfriends are truly the jealous type. You're in a polyamorous relationship, for Merlin's sake. This sort of possessiveness has never been part of the deal.
"What's your problem with him?" You stare them down in turn, and only Sirius is bold enough to meet your heated gaze.
"You're with him when you should be with us!" He snaps. "Just look at tonight—James made dinner, and where were you? With him! So why are you even here now? Let's just cut the bullshit, and you can go hang out with Liam."
James had...James never cooks. That always falls to you or Remus, but tonight...you look at the pasta, which you've yet to take a bite of, and you're hit with a guilt that feels like nausea. It's your favorite. James cooked it for you.
"You have been seeing a lot of him lately," Remus says quietly, and his tone is more controlled than Sirius', but you see the protective hand he sets on James' knee under the table. "And you talk about him all the time. Do you really not see why our minds would go there?"
"I didn't...you guys are serious about this?" Your voice wavers, and that gets them all to look at you. You see the truth of it in their faces, sullen and embarrassed and tense, as if apprehensive of what you'll do next. "I'm so sorry. I never meant to make you feel that way, I—fuck, Jamie, can I give you a hug?"
"Course," he says softly, and rush to him, pressing your face into his dark curls.
"Thank you for dinner, love," you say, feeling like your heart is breaking. "I didn't mean to be late, and I should have remembered to turn my phone back on, I'm so sorry. This is so lovely of you." You turn so you can see the other boys, still cradling James' head in one hand. "Liam and I are just friends, I promise. I didn't know...I thought it was just teasing, the way you talked about him. I didn't mean to let you worry. And I'm sorry if I've been blowing you off lately."
"It hasn't been that often, dove." Remus is the first to warm, looking at you kindly. "Just, could you let us know if you're going to be very late?"
You feel like your chest has hollowed out at the realization of how this has been weighing on them. "Yeah, of course." You release James to return to your seat, leaning over to press a kiss to Sirius' head as you pass him, and he rolls his eyes with a reluctance you suspect is mostly feigned by now. "You really think I could find someone better than you three? You're out of your minds," you quip, taking some pasta onto your fork and inhaling the aroma of the sauce appreciatively. You think you see James sit up a bit straighter with pride. "As if there's anyone who could give me more than what I already have. Honestly, I'm at full capacity, love-wise."
Sirius snorts, finally eating some of his own pasta. "I know. This apartment is hardly large enough for the four of us, where would Liam sleep?"

effie used to let james ‘help’ her to cook while he was growing up, but he always made much more of a mess than actually helping. when regulus moved in, he offered to help effie as a way to give something back, and she taught him everything she knew, recipes and all!
when she died, regulus started cooking for james. it took one dish of effie’s special pasta to send james into a breakdown, because his mum might be gone, but her legacy lives on.

There's always an air of confidence amongst the three of them, the way they lounge on one of the larger couches in the Gryffindor common room, legs overlapping and shoulders pushed up against one another. They're completely at ease, your brain supplies as you step up to them, and you remember vaguely that people have said the same about you more times than you can count.
There's none of that from you now, though, as you perch on the armrest and look down at James's beaming smile.
"Hey lovely, what brings you here?" The way he lets an arm grip your waist is natural, pulling you closer so that your hip is against his shoulder.
"Finally needed to come up for air? Snake pit getting to be a bit much, hm?" Sirius's tone holds no real malice and neither does the glare you shoot him or Remus's chiding look.
"Came up here for some peace and quiet. Guess I'm not getting that, though," you shoot back good-naturedly, a hand running through James's hair as he begins to let his thumb rub circles on your hip where his arm is anchored around you.
"You, uh, came up to the Gryffindor common room for peace and quiet, love?" says Remus, amusement tinting his voice. You let your bottom lip jut out slightly in response.
"Desperate times. They're getting ready to throw another rager tonight and I'm just too tired for that," you say, a long sigh leaving your lips as you speak. James pauses his soothing hands to pull away from you enough to look up at your face, his brows furrowed and eyes big in that worried way of his. Remus and Sirius have perked up as well, and you find yourself sitting straighter at the attention.
"...You feeling alright, sweet thing?" Sirius asks. Your mouth falls open in shock.
"I'm not - I'm not that much of an alcoholic. I don't need to go to every party - you three aren't there, either." You look back and forth between the three focused gazes.
"Yea, but… what's a Slytherin party without you there? That's like - there wouldn't be a Gryffindor party without us." James points out. You arch a brow at him.
"Maybe you three just think too highly of yourselves," you respond dryly. Sirius barks out a laugh from where he's lying across Remus' lap and James makes a big show of pretending to be offended.
"Wasn't it you who called us Gryffindor's golden boys last week, dove?" Remus points out, a smile stretching across his face. You glare back.
"Alright, you can all shut up now. I didn't come up here to be accosted." You say haughtily, but Remus's smile doesn't falter and Sirius coos at you the way you assume he'd coo at something rather small and fluffy. You sniff indignantly and plant yourself more firmly on the armrest while James makes some gentle attempts to pull you down onto the couch next to him.
"Come on, lovely," James tries to coax you. You look down at him indignantly. "You can relax. It's just us," he prompts, smoothing a hand over your back. You shoot him another withering glare and, when met by nothing but his beaming smile, let your stubbornness slacken just enough that he can haul you up off the armrest, manhandling him so that you're suddenly squished on the couch between him and Remus, Sirius still lounging on his lap.
Remus puts an arm around you, the weight familiar as it falls over your shoulders and you begin to slump into it despite your stubbornness.
"Aw, your ice melts so fast for us, baby," Sirius teases, leaning to poke your cheek gently with his forefinger.
"I'll break that finger, Black," you shoot back, but there's no fight left in your voice. Sirius just laughs, leaning even more to press a kiss to your cheek, instead. You deflate a bit more, relaxing into the cushions and the heat of James pressed against you. He visibly sweetens at that, leaning towards you to press his own kisses up and down the side of your neck as Remus's fingers tangle with the hair at the nape of your neck, massaging slightly.
"Alright, alright," you murmur, voice breathy as you squirm under the attention. Remus eases up, his arm wrapping around your shoulders once more to let you relax against him, James pulling back to look at you fondly.
"Sorry, lovely," he flashes another smile. "Don't mean to overwhelm you."
"I'm fine," you say stubbornly. Sirius giggles in a way that you're sure means he doesn't believe you, and the faces of the other two reflect that sentiment. They let the silence hang, though, letting you gather your bearings.
"It's not fair," is all you finally say, in a voice too small to be your own. "I always know exactly what I'm doing and what I'm saying and what I'm feeling - until you three show up. Then I don't - I don't know." No one responds immediately and you wince internally, as you're sure it's so that they can all choose their words carefully. Like you're some kind of timebomb, your mind prompts you. Like they're waiting for you to just explode.
"I do," Sirius supplies, his voice carrying a sombre air that it doesn't typically. "I know what you mean, love."
"No you don't," you murmur petulantly, but he takes it good-naturedly, his face softening with nothing but love. The other two stay quiet - it's like they've suddenly stepped into a private conversation, even though they've been there the whole time.
"Sometimes," Sirius begins carefully. Tick, tick, tick, your mind reminds you. You bite your lip at your own perceived volatility. "When we're not loved the way we should be, it just takes a while to get used to suddenly having it. I… I do know how that feels, love." Your shoulders tighten at his words, something that feels almost like guilt burning in the back of your throat.
"I'm sorry, Sirius - I didn't mean -"
"Don't apologize. There's nothing to forgive. You haven't done anything wrong here. You aren't doing anything wrong with us." You bite your lips harder at Siriuis' words, his gentleness, tasting a hint of copper in your mouth when you bite too hard. Remus steps in at this, clicking his tongue in that gentle, reprimanding way that you recognize as he uses his thumb to smooth over your lip.
"We love you," James reminds softly, his hand finding a home on your thigh, fingers pressing into your skin ever so slightly as he holds onto you firmly. "Never-ending bad mood and all." You open your mouth to snipe back but close it again quickly when you see the humour in James' eyes. "Sirius is the biggest drama queen alive and we still love him," James continues. Sirius makes an indignant, wounded sort of noise that goes ignored.
"Well… that's alright, I suppose," you huff, your arms crossed as you sit sullenly. James coos at you in a way that you should hate as Remus slides one hand against your cheek, guiding you to look at him so that he can pass a long kiss to your lips. You make an embarrassingly needy sound somewhere in the back of your throat and grip onto the front of his shirt, but the only evidence that Remus has noticed is the way he smiles against you. That and Sirius's jealous huff as he watches, unsure of which place he'd rather be in.
The three of you settle in as you and Remus part, him smiling lazily and thumbing over your lips. You press a quick, delicate kiss to the pad of his thumb before letting yourself relax fully into the couch, the silence that blankets the three of you forming a soft, comforting sort of thing.
"So…" Sirius begins. "You're really not going to go down to the party? At all?" You sigh and tilt your head back to stare at the ceiling.
"Yea, alright, we should go. Come on."
"Knew you couldn't stay away."

high sex with remus... you're both blissed out, the weed casting a hazy cloud around you both as you sit in his lap. his already loose jeans are pulled just below his waist as he lazily fucks up into you, one hand in your hair as the other lazily traces circles on your clit. though his eyes are lidded and his hair is falling into his eyes, his gaze is still trained on you, watching your every gasp and whimper. he's talking you through it, unsure of what he's even saying at this point, his mind a fog as he grunts out a 'so fucking good f'me'. despite how relaxed you both are, remus' hips snap against yours with urgency as he chases his high. it's when his fingers tug uncharecteristically harshly at your hair that you know he's finished, and you follow soon after. of course, you sit with him still inside you as you both catch your breath (and maybe even fall asleep before he's able to clean you up)

౨ৎ never grow up. (sirius black x reader)
summary: you and sirius’ daughter is slowly growing up, and your love only grows stronger for your baby.
pairing(s): potter!reader, sirius black x reader, james potter x reader (platonic), harry potter x daughter (platonic), dad!siriusblack x children, mum!reader x children
i hope you enjoy this whilst I answer requests! if there are any more scenarios/imagine ideas, submit them here!
When your first daughter was born, you and Sirius always had the pestering fear of never being the best parents to your baby but the second you both laid eyes on your beautiful hazel eyed daughter, Emmie, you knew that was it for the two of you. She now had your hearts.
The rest of the world fell still and into black and white, your daughter taking all the colour and attention. She was your pride and joy, and you would go to crazy lengths to protect her. You hoped time would give you benefit of keeping her young and safe in your arms forever.
But the little finger holds, and nonsense babbling turned into loud giggles and the noise of tiny feet running around the house.
In the blink of an eye, she was your little princess who insisted on playing tea party with her Uncle Jamie and Uncle Remmy. With handmade diy crowns she had made with Sirius, giggling as the two put as much glitter and feathers on them as they could. And the pout on her face as you held the cookie jar in your hand, looking at your little girl’s adorable pleading wide eyes.
Oh, and her new fondness that she had developed for the baby in your tummy, mindlessly talking to her baby sibling about joining in on family nights and pressing sweet kisses onto your belly.
Then she grew up again so suddenly, now whining as the two of you and the baby in the pram fussed over getting a photo of her first day of big girl school. With her two plaits that Sirius had done for her, the thrilly yellow dress that you had picked out for her, and the small butterfly backpack that she had carefully picked out.
“Mummy! Daddy! Please can i go in now?” She pouted, looking up at the two of you with her wide eyes. Sirius looked back at the photos on the family digital camera with your son, Theodore on his hip, both grinning widely at the same little girl on the screen.
“Yes, you can Sweetheart.” You chuckle, crouching on the floor to bring her into a comforting hug. Not that she needed the comfort, she just wanted to go and play with some new friends, but you just couldn’t bear to let her go. Whilst she sneakily rubbed your tummy, in goodbyes to her sibling.
When a warm hand touched your shoulder only then did you loosen your grip and surface back to your normal height, taking your son from Sirius so he could also hug your little girl.
After the goodbyes, Emmie happily ran to the door where the teacher was stood ushering the kids in with a beautiful smile.
Then suddenly she was older, the ripe age of fourteen, starting high school as she reluctantly accepted any affection from you and Sirius in-front of the school gates.
Theodore was standing by your side, eyes wandering as he watched all the bigger kids walk into the school with his big eyes. Charmingly smiling at the teenage girls that giggled and waved kindly at the little boy. Always a charmer, supposing he got that from his dad.
“Seriously, Mum you’re kind of embarrassing me,” she huffed as you stroked admiringly at her luscious black hair, “I told you, you should have just dropped me around the corner.” She frowned, looking around at the bigger kids who she claimed were staring.
“I love you too, Sweetheart.” You rolled your eyes humourlessly, adjusting your grasp on your son’s hand as he attempted to swing his lunch box.
“Have a good day princess, I love you.” Sirius added, a chuckle here and there at the last interaction. Emmie’s hazel doe eyes looked up at her dad, a daring smile on her lips, the same cheeky smile her dad had wore when he was her age.
“Bye Theo.” She said, ruffling her brother’s hair as he groaned and protested, “Bye, Char Char.” She grinned widely, pressing a kiss to the baby resting on your hip. Then she was walking off with confidence in her step towards the school doors.
“She used to be our little baby, and i’m worried now that she thinks we hate her for little small things.” You let a few tears slip as Sirius look’s through the camera at all the time that you both took for granted. Naturally, as a fifteen year old, your daughter took a liking to acting like the both of you had troubled her endlessly when in reality you only informed her of dinner.
“Oh darling, please don’t cry,” Sirius hushed you, bringing your head into his neck crevice whilst you clambered into his lap. “She knows we love her, and she loves us, shes just going through a teenager phase.” He comforted you, free hand caressing the bare of your back under your loose shirt.
Mindlessly not realising that your precious daughter was stilled and paused outside your bedroom door, on her way to grab a drink from the kitchen. Very aware of the tears that were slipping from her mums eyes.
“Mum, i’m sorry.” Emmie frowned as she walked into your bedroom later that night, coming to your side as you relaxed at her presence. You swore your eyes glassed over right then and there.
“It’s okay Sweetheart, You’re allowed to feel angry sometimes, we just need to deal with it differently.” You softly told her, moving over on the bed so she could hopefully join you. Which she did. Tucking into your side just like she used when she was younger, you immediately bought her in closer as you both observed the movie on the tv.
“I do love you, you know that right?” She frowned, looking up at you with the same brown eyes that she had been blessed with when she was born.
“Of course, and i love you too.” You replied, pressing a soft kiss to the crown of her head, pulling the duvet over your tired bodies.
Then she was moving out. Boxes littered all over her bedroom in the midst of moving them to the car. Now she really was being taken away from yours and Sirius’ hands, she really had grown up. Nineteen, moving into her first apartment in London, all by herself.
Well, not really by herself, your brothers son, Harry, her cousin, they decided to move in together. Secretly not wanting to be alone.
It was sweet. They both had gone through being toddlers playing together and causing mischief in high school together to now, newly adults waiting to start a new chapter in life.
Five of you; Sirius, James, Harry, Emmie and yourself all trying to bring the boxes into their three bedroom flat. Whilst Charlotte and Lily accompanied each-other in the car, the latter wanting to hear all about her nieces teenage love life. Invested in all the gossip that she wouldn’t get from young Harry again now that he was a drive away and not in the same house as her.
Wasn’t long until they were all unpacked and you were still desperately trying to find things to do and occupy yourself with so you didn’t have to leave.
“Mum, i think you’ve done possibly everything there is to do.” Theodore complained, probably tired from all the heavy carrying. Emmie smiled and laughed, wiping her hard worked hands onto the back of her jeans.
“He’s right mum, thank you though.” She widely grinned, eyes twinkling with hope and excitement for a new chapter in life. Sirius was holding you by the waist pressing tired kisses into your neck, assumably trying to comfort your stressed form. Which worked, as you immediately relaxed.
“I just want to make sure that both you and Harry are safe here.” You defended, turning your head to kiss your husband on the cheek in thanks.
“What she means is she just doesn’t want to leave you.” James raised an eyebrow as you scolded him and hit him on the shoulder. Either James was really good at hiding reactions (he wasn’t) or the reality of his first son leaving home hadn’t hit him. Most probably the latter one, he was your brother after all, you two were alike.
“Thank you for everything mum and dad, i love you both.” Emmie smiled, bringing the two of you into a quiet but warm embrace.
“Don’t forget we’re only twenty minutes away!” You rushed to add, earning an eye roll and a smirk from your daughter. “Same for you too, Harry, seriously you two. One. Call. Away.” You meaningfully told them, empathising the last words.
“Trust me, you wouldn’t let us forget.” Harry smirked at his joke, earning low chuckles from everyone in the room but you. “I’m joking, Aunt y/n, we appreciate it, really.” He genuinely smiled as the two ushered everyone to the door.
You let out a defeated hmph, saying all your final goodbyes as you and Sirius headed back to the car, hands enclasped in love.
“Our first baby’s all grown up.” You sigh, turning to your husband with a sad smile. Whilst he had a matching one, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
“And you two are too, now come on you babies!” James exclaimed from in front, jogging ahead to assumably get back to his newborn who is definitely hungry.
“Aren’t you a little bit sad, Jamie?” You scoffed lightly, a smile playing at your lips knowingly. His eyes met yours and emotion danced all around in them, glassed over with held back tears.
“We’ll see them soon.” He settled for, reassuring look on his face probably to comfort himself. “If not, i’ll have to fake fancy holidays just to have a gathering.” He smirked.

Becca, my love, you said you wanted Marauders thoughts so: what about James running right up to his S/O after a big Quidditch win and just kissing them right there in front of the whole school? 🤭
BF JAMES <3
you hadn’t told anyone that you’re dating james potter yet, despite the boy’s incessant begging to show you off to every person he knew. but he had quite the reputation, so you had to be sure he was serious before you committed to going public. you had been quite sure of that fact for sometime, but you rather enjoyed keeping james all to yourself.
it didn’t raise any brows that you were at the game. you and your friends had gone to every quidditch game since you were first years. but now it was your boyfriend on the broom, at one of the biggest matches of the school year, and you couldn’t help but want to tell everyone.
when that final blusher distracted the slytherin keeper and gave james the chance to go straight for the snitch, the stalls erupt in cheers. your friend hugs you so tightly, you could burst. james hold his golden snitch high in the air, eyes searching the crowds for your eyes.
he finds them and his broom heads straight for you. rather diving into the ravenclaw stands, making you wince as he hurdles his way towards you.
“what the hell are you doing, potter?” you laugh wildly, hands held out to steady him. he looks glorious, all sweat and pride.
“want to celebrate with my girl. that okay?” he’s smiling that cheeky smile, but genuinely asking. behind it all, he respects your boundaries. he waits for you to nod, smile, give him any indication. and when you do, he’s doing it only as james potter would do.
hands wrapping around your middle, he dips you low for everyone to see. a movie—worthy kiss, breathtaking, forcing your giddy grin to break the passion he pours into you.
“you idiot,” you gasp out, letting him straighten you back up. your friends stare on in shock, the rest of the school still cheering — for the game or your relationship, you don’t know.
“you love me,” james quips, kissing you quickly again. and merlin, you really do.

in which you decide to make a list of all the nicknames sirius calls you
sirius x reader, jealous sirius if you squint
although you had been friends with the marauders for quite a decent amount of time— not so much as each other, but still considerable compared to the other few people they chose to hang around— it had never really crossed your mind just how many nicknames sirius used for you. the only natural solution to this was to take a tally.
at the beginning of the day, when you were sitting in the common room waiting for the boys to arrive, sirius was last down. this wasn’t uncommon; sirius spent the most time getting ready of the four (james a close second).
“morning, dove,” sirius greeted you, stretching his arms up above his head. you smile in reply, scribbling down the name in your notebook (a muggle invention that was far more practical than keeping scrolls of parchment. lily had given it to you as a gift). “whatcha writing?”
“yeah, what is that, huh?” james looked over your shoulder curiously.
“nothing.” you wave dismissively, standing up as you shut the notebook to properly greet the boys. “hurry up, we’ll be late.”
“yes, mum.” sirius groaned dramatically (as always).
your first class was history of magic— which was unfortunate, really, because the tiring class did nothing to help your already tired state. sirius and remus were on either side of you, and you were sitting with your head resting in your arms.
“tired, darling?” sirius whispered, snickering under his breath.
“who wouldn’t be?” you mumble, adjusting your arms on your desk. ah, that’s right. you made a mental note to add “darling” to the list.
“go ahead and sleep.” remus mumbled as he scribbled down notes. “you can copy my notes later.”
“this is why you’re my favorite, rem,” you bury your head deeper in your arms, letting your heavy eyelids finally close.
“excuse me, love,” sirius whispered indignantly, poking your bicep. “i’m hurt.”
“you, too, sirius, i guess.” you groan indifferently. you hear sirius exhale, satisfied with your answer, before feeling the weight of what must have been his robe across your shoulders. your shoulders relaxed as you felt his hand following, scratching gentle circles on your back.
“that’s what i like to hear, hm?”
sirius woke you up seconds before the end of class. you weren’t sure how he kept track so well— he probably only did it so he could count down the minutes til he was free (at least until his next class)— but you found it useful, as you were more so the type to cope until class ended as a pleasant surprise.
“wake up, love, class is nearly over.” sirius poked your head, maybe a little too hard, before brushing the hair out of your face carefully, probably to compensate. “oi.”
“m’up, black.” you lift your face slightly to eye professor binns finally wrapping up the lecture. “merlin, already?”
“yeah, already.” sirius hummed.
“where’s moony?” you tiredly look to sirius before looking the other way to see if remus was there.
“finishing your notes for you.” remus replied, eyes glued to the board as he scribbled down dates from it. remus set his pencil down with a satisfied tap and rolled up the parchment just as professor binns dismissed the class. you stood up and stretched before gratefully taking remus’ notes to copy down later.
“thanks, rem. this is why you’re my favorite.” you exhale.
“oi, i thought i was your favorite!” sirius protested. you cast him an amused glance.
“you didn’t copy notes down for me.”
“i would’ve given you mine if you asked.”
“your handwriting is horrid.”
“come on now, you don’t really mean that, don’t you, pretty?” sirius slung an arm over your shoulders as you roll your eyes.
“yes, i do. come on now, i’ve got to get to class.” you tell him, following as remus began to walk out.
“you should skip.”
“and do what?”
“hang out, obviously, sweetheart!” sirius groaned. “merlin, you’re dense sometimes.”
“i’ll keep that in mind.” you raise an eyebrow.
as soon as you sit down in your next class (sirius and remus had indeed skipped, much to remus’ annoyance, as he had charms, which he quite liked. you and sirius had potions, so you couldn’t blame him for skipping), you whipped out your notebook, scribbling down the names before you forgot.
darling, love, pretty, sweetheart.
you hummed contentedly. a considerable list. you decided not to add mum. you look up from your notebook as professor slughorn studied the room.
“(l/n), child, where is mr. black?” the pudgy professor frowned.
“erm,” you hesitate, startled by the sudden question. “in— in the library, sir.”
“do fetch him, won’t you?” slughorn tutted. “such a rebel. but i do enjoy him; his family are fine people.” you sigh. sirius was one of slughorn’s favorites, even though sirius wanted nothing to do with him, as a conversation with slughorn meant talking about his family.
“yes, sir,” you stand up, leaving the room as your classmates stared after you.
you found sirius in the library with the other marauders. you had been expecting this; you knew that remus’ condition for skipping classes would be that they go to the library. sirius was slumped dramatically over the table.
“moony, this is horrible! what’s the point of skipping class if we’re just going to go to the library?” sirius was whining as he caught sight of you. he brightened immediately, and, upon seeing sirius’ face light up, the other three boys looked up as well.
“finally decided to join us, eh?” james grinned.
“in your dreams.” you roll your eyes. “i’ve come for black. professor slughorn wants his star student back.”
“i’m failing potions on purpose, i’m not his star student!” sirius groaned.
“that’d be lily.” james nodded solemnly.
“pushover.” remus snorted quietly. james punched remus’ shoulder.
“his words, not mine.” you shrug. you watch as sirius packs up his things for a moment before turning to leave, assuming sirius would follow after.
“aw, come on, pads, stay!” james protested.
“yeah, you don’t really wanna go to potions, do you?” peter added insistently.
“nope. gotta go, the missus calls.” sirius said, popping the ‘p’ as he slung his bag over his shoulder. “so long, mates.” remus waved goodbye politely as the other two continued to protest, until madam pince gave them the same withering glare that they had found you also had sometimes— the one that shut them up.
“the missus?” you raise an eyebrow as sirius falls into step with you (somewhat, as his long strides were no match for your short, quick steps).
“yeah, the missus.” sirius hummed, looking ahead as he answered. he seemed to sense through your silence that you wanted clarification. “what about it?”
“that’s new.” you shrug. sirius only grins, slinging his arm over your shoulder.
“well, i had to start getting creative since you’re writing them all down.” he says smugly.
“wh-“ you sputter, stepping out of his grip to look at him in shock. “you knew?”
“you’re not very discreet, lovely.” sirius snickered. you sighed. this was true.
“fine.” you groan, reluctantly allowing sirius’ arm to snake around your waist as you continued to walk.
“y’know what else i reckon you ought to add to that list?”
“what?” you ask halfheartedly, knowing full well it’d be a foolish answer.
“mine.”
“sirius.”
“i’m all yours.”
“quit it, black.”
“as you wish, darling.”

Loved the detective Reg!
Can you do sth similar but with a female reader, if possible? 👀
(Oh my god! choking, face-sitting? I don't know bruv! I guess, read around and find out, I don't remember the name of kinks..tw: mentions of rape, kidnapping, murder.)
Tumblr media
Detective! Regulus who works with you for the case of a murderer who kills men who are raping other women. Quite a surprising case, but no matter how he feels for these rapists, he can't do anything but actually find the killer even if he supports them...
Detective! Regulus who has you cockwarm him when he works through files, you just have to be a patient girl for him, pretty thing. He makes you stay there for hours on end as he does things or maybe suck him off under the bench..
Detective! Regulus who will finger you softly while interrogating a witness, the rapist's victim, etc. You better not make a noise, imagine how much of your dignity will you lose and how people will think of you as a whore?
Detective! Regulus who refuses to let you cum; he fucks you, cums, before leaving you high and dry saying you both have work, you just have to be good to actually get the chance to cum later after everyone is gone..
Detective! Regulus who gets the final lead and catches you in the act of shooting a man who tried to touch a little girl, who does not care what happens to the man, but still has to arrest you...
Detective! Regulus who handcuffs you to his bed, refusing to let you go or cum even..You did not have good behavior, killing people, are you idiotic?! and not only that, you get wet when he gets mad at you, you really are becoming a cheap whore for him...
Detective! Regulus who blackmails you. I mean, he has earned the right to fuck your ass or pussy whenever he wants, didn't he? I mean he's only blackmailing you, while you MURDERED people, how come you think he doesn't have the right to do this? you're being a brainless brat..
Detective! Regulus who has you give him blowjobs while he talks with people, after they leave, fucking your throat until tears go down your cheeks, his polished shoe nudging your wet cunt softly, "Tch.... your pussy is ruining my shoes..god your pussy just as wet as your face, good girl.."
Detective! Regulus who shoves a vibrator in you and turns it on whenever you talk with people or at random timings just to rile you up, but turns it down right as your reach your high, leaving you all the more desperate..
Detective! Regulus who sometimes feels bad at your crying, drooling face and takes pity enough to let you sit on his face as he eats you out, his tongue and fingers working magic with his nose brushing your clit...maybe if you're real nice, he might even let you cum on his face a few times..
Detective! Regulus who simply can't get enough of you, cause you're his perfect, personal, killing whore~

OKAY SO IMAGINE.
sirius has dragged regulus to a club, against his will. it's practically a hostage situation. and then, sirius ditches him to dance, yelling something indecipherable in his ear.
regulus is by the bar, sipping a fruity cocktail and rolling his eyes when people attempt to hit on him.
"baby black in a club? i really have seen everything now," james crows, sitting beside him and ordering a vodka coke.
"oh, piss off, potter."
james doesn't, and laughs. regulus seriously considers shoving the man off of his stool.
he drains his drink too quickly, without wincing, "come dance with me, baby black,"
"i dont dance,"
before he can protest further, james' fingers are intertwined with his own and hes being pulled into the thrum of grinding, drunk bodies.
james moves easily to the rhythm of the music, shaking his hips and flailing around. regulus finds himself smiling, purely because james is an idiot.
not because james' t-shirt is cropped just high enough to flaunt a glittering stud in his belly button. not because his smile is wide, and brighter than a million suns. not because the man has weirdly soft hands, and those hands are now resting on regulus' waist as if they were built to fit there.
IMAGINE!!!

fake dating with james? major angst end with fluff?
okay, to be completely candid with you guys, this is my first time writing like this. i’ve never really done fics or even small drabbles before, so i deeply apologize if this is the worst thing you’ve ever read. i promise i’m trying to get better. this has also been sitting in my drafts for so long, since i couldn’t decide how to end it.
summary: you fell in love with your fake boyfriend. he fell in love with you, too.
warning: not as much angst, sorry </3. fluff, horrible writing, a lot of rushing. james rants ab his love for you
Dating James was like a dream, truly. Even though it was fake, meant to just be a ruse to make Lily jealous, he made it seem like it was perfectly real. He walked you to every class, offered you his jumper the moment you shook in the slightest, gave you his breakfast if you were still hungry. He even made sure to throw in a grand gesture every once in a while — a large bouquet of flowers, buying you a nice outfit or that expensive perfume you wanted but couldn’t afford. Anything he could do.
The only problem was how much you liked dating him. It was hard to remind yourself that it was all fake — that it was all happening just to make another girl jealous, because that’s who he was in love with. Lily. Not you. And it broke your heart every time you were reminded of that. Every time he’d kiss your cheek and murmur something about Lily watching, whenever he’d come to you with so much excitement over the plan working, whenever he’d immediately pull away as soon as you two were alone. It all hurt.
And that was why you had to end it. Today, before you could chicken out and let yourself get lost in something that’s not real.
“James? Can we talk?” You questioned softly once you found him in his dorm room, Remus and Sirius studying something on one of the beds, and Peter trying to make light conversation. “Um — somewhere private.”
“Yeah, of course.” The bespectacled boy gave you a grin, quickly slapping Sirius lightly on top of the head to signal for him and Remus to leave, before nodding his head for Peter to do the same. After a few grumbles, the three eventually left the room, leaving both you and James alone. “Hey, did you see Lily at breakfast today? Marls said she was ‘bout ready to stab someone, must mean the plan’s working.”
“Right, yeah, that’s great, James.” You murmured distantly, almost as if you weren’t really listening, which was what caught James attention. A frown came over his face and he took a step closer to you, tilting his head slightly in confusion.
“Is something wrong? What did you want to talk about?”
“Us. I mean — this whole dating thing. Fake dating thing.” You clarified, mentally sighing at how nervous you already were. It was already proving to be more difficult than you could handle.
“I think we should end this.”
“This? The plan? No. Why would we do that?” James questioned frantically, his frown only growing. Truly, he didn’t know if he was upset because he didn’t want to backtrack with Lily, or if it was because he didn’t want to stop being with you.
“Because, it ran it’s course. It worked, it did what it was supposed to do. I think going on any longer would just be beating a dead horse, y’know? And you can’t exactly get with Lily if you have a girlfriend, even if it’s fake.”
“No — No, we have to keep going. We’re not done yet,” James was trying to come up with a reason. He didn’t know why, you did have a point. But the idea of ending things caused a feeling in his gut, and he didn’t like it. “There — there’s the Yule Ball. We can’t break up before the Yule Ball.”
“Ask Lily. I overheard her talking with Marlene and Mary about how she wished she could go with you.”
“Then I’d just seem like an asshole who left his girlfriend for another girl.”
“James,” you sighed. He was making it more difficult than you thought he would. You almost thought he’d be happy, that it had worked well enough he could be with Lily now. “It won’t seem that way. Ask Lily to the Yule Ball. This has to be over, okay? I just — it has to be, I’m sorry.”
You left before he could come up with another reply, leaving both yourself and James completely devastated and wishing for something that never really existed.
Two weeks and some moping later, it was finally time for the Yule Ball. Something that you should be excited for — all of your friends were.
But, it was hard to be excited when you knew the person you were in love with would be going with another girl. Sirius had offered to go with you, as friends, of course. You had updated him on why you ended things with James and you figured he wanted to distract you from it all. However, you declined — you knew he wanted to go with Remus and you didn’t want to stand in the way of their night.
Amos Diggory had asked you as well — you thought about saying yes at first, not wanting to be the only person without a date, but it would be cruel to lead him on, so you simply said you wanted to go alone.
It hurt, hearing Lily gush over James as she got ready. You were so used to hearing her complain about his antics and gestures, and now she was swooning and you didn’t think you could bear it. Mary kept sending you sympathetic glances — clearly your moping hadn’t been as subtle as you thought.
It even hurt when you were there, surrounded by friends. James avoided eye contact, always either making an excuse of getting drinks for him and Lily or simply staying silent — something very rare for him.
A slow song eventually came on, all of your friends rushing off with their dates to get the first dance of the night, all of them blushing and giggling. And you were happy for them, you were. You just wished you could join in the feeling, rather than sitting alone to the sidelines.
The even was going by dreadfully slow, and you were beginning to contemplate just leaving early — making an excuse that your head hurt, or you were sick — whenever Amos came up to you.
“Hey — I know you didn’t want to come with anyone. Or with me, at least. But you seem lonely,” he started, before plopping down on the seat next to you. “Do you want to dance? No strings attached.”
“I — that would be lovely, actually.”
He grabbed your hand, pulling you up and over to the “dance floor,” which was really just the middle of the Great Hall. You immediately felt less awkward than you had before — even if it wasn’t James, at least you weren’t sitting by yourself.
“Did you say no to me because of James?”
“What?”
“Did you not want to come with me because you’re still hung up on James? You two seemed really… happy, together. I guess I should’ve figured you weren’t over him.”
“Oh, we were never actually —” You were cut off, both yours and Amos’ heads looking up to the figure who interrupted you. James.
“Sorry, mate, do you mind if I steal her for a moment? Thanks.” James didn’t wait for either of you to respond, instead pulling you to the complete opposite side of the room.
He avoided making eye contact with you, leaving you more confused than you were two seconds ago. What was the point of pulling you over here if he didn’t have anything to say?
“It looked like you and Lily were having fun,” you decided to speak, hoping to ease whatever tension was building between the two of you.
“What? Oh yeah, sure. I guess,” he said, practically waving you off. It was as if he wasn’t even listening, his mind in a totally different world. “I need to say something. And I need you to not interrupt me. Okay?”
You nodded, part of you terrified for what was about to come. You couldn’t think of anything you had done to him recently. You hadn’t even spoken to him, how could you have possibly upset him? What could he possibly need to talk about?
“I’ve always been in love with Lily. Since as long as I can remember, it’s been her. I didn’t even give anyone else a chance, because she had to be the one.”
“Gee. Thanks for the reminder, James.”
“Wait. I’m not done. I never gave anyone a chance. Not a serious one, at least. And — and then you showed up. And I know it was supposed to be fake, and it was supposed to just make Lily jealous. But, somewhere I think… I think I realized that maybe she’s not the one. Because whenever you ended things, it felt like — I don’t know, it sort of felt like my heart was missing.”
He kept rambling, and you opened your mouth to interrupt. To ask if he was saying what you thought he was. But, he quickly shushed you, holding a finger up to signal he was still talking.
“And, I thought maybe I just liked the attention. Liked being in a relationship. But, I’m here with Lily and it’s not the same. It doesn’t feel the same. I don’t feel the same. I just, I guess what I’m trying to say is, you’re the only person who made me feel so seen, so… so me. Does that make sense? I just, I think I might be in love with you.” He finally finished up, letting his eyes fall to your face, his eyes wide as if he had just confessed to murder.
You could tell he was nervous, but you stayed silent, blinking slowly as you processed his words. “You can — you can say something now. Please say something.”
“I think I may be in love with you, too, Potter.” You finally spoke, watching the grin that slowly took over his face once he realized what you said.
“Really?” He tried not to show how giddy he was, tried not to seem too much like a child who was just told they could get ice cream. But how was he supposed to contain himself when you just told him you loved him, too? How was he supposed to pretend like he wasn’t on cloud fucking nine?
“Yes. Now, are you gonna kiss me, or do I have to do it myself?”

Doting
summary: you feel needy for wanting support after a hard day. Your boyfriends set you straight
poly!marauders x reader ♡ 1.4k words
You sit on the couch, surrounded by all the love you could ever want, and do your best not to sulk.
In the kitchen, Remus hums as he makes dinner, and Sirius and James are playing cards on the coffee table in front of you while you pretend to read.
“I’m out,” James declares proudly, laying the last of his cards on the table as Sirius throws his down with a huff.
“I’m done playing with a cheater,” Sirius says with faux malice, turning around to look at you sweetly from where he sits at your feet. “Y/N, gorgeous, want to join me for a game?”
You paste a smile on your face. “Thanks Siri, but I’m busy.” You hold up your book as evidence, and he pouts but turns back around, reshuffling the cards.
You notice James studying your features, and you do your best to look content, normal. After years of being around the other two boys and their silent misery, James has gotten very skilled at detecting a dismal mood, and you don’t want to ruin everyone’s night. In truth, you’d had an awful day. A customer had yelled at you at work, and then you’d been stupid enough to cry while driving, almost getting in an accident due to your distraction. You’d arrived home shaken and upset, and had barely had time to pull yourself together before Sirius had come in the door  a few minutes later, Remus and James following not long after. You don’t enjoy being so delicate that having any amount of anger directed at you reduces you to a sniveling mess, and you’d resisted the urge to lock yourself away in your room in the hopes that acting like everything was normal would eventually make you feel normal.
So far, it isn’t working as well as you’d hoped.
If anything, it feels odd to be the dark cloud of such a joyous space; with Sirius and James laughing and bickering in front of you, Remus humming just around the corner, and the delicious smell of whatever he’s making beginning to waft toward you from the kitchen, you feel unappreciative and embarrassed for being unhappy. Beyond that, you know you have the sweetest boyfriends in the world, and they’d drop everything if they knew you were upset. Frankly, you don’t deserve their kindness when you're wallowing in self-pity over something so silly. You’d only be dragging them into your sorrow with you, and there’s no sense in all of you being down there together. You can handle it on your own.
But James’ too-perceptive gaze seems to find some fault in your placid facade, and though you will him desperately not to, he asks, “You alright, angel?”
You give him a different smile this time; it’s smaller, a bit more honest, but a smile nonetheless. “Yeah,” you say, in your most placating tone. “I’m good, thanks Jamie.”
“You sure?”
“Mhm.”
James’ eyes are slightly troubled, but he nods, directing his attention back to the cards. It’s too late, though, because now Sirius is turning back towards you, something in James’ tone or yours tipping him off. He sets down the deck, pulling himself up onto the couch to sit beside you, his eyes level with yours.
“What’s going on?” he asks in that rare no-nonsense way that lets you know he’s serious.
You hate when they tag-team you like this. James may be good at picking up on your moods, but he also knows when you want to be left alone. Sirius, on the other hand, prefers to root out any bad feelings and beat them into submission.
“Nothing,” you say, no longer under any impression that either boy believes you. Still, you take Sirius’ hand, squeezing reassuringly. “It’s okay.”
Sirius is undeterred, searching your face like it’ll come clean when you won’t. You can’t take the intensity of his stare and drop your gaze, but he only stoops to follow it. You’re trapped.
“Hey,” he says softly, his thumb stroking your hand cajolingly. “What’s your deal, huh? Talk to us, baby.”
It's the pet name that gets you, and the first tear leaks from your eye just as Remus comes in with dinner.
He stops short at the new, sullen atmosphere of the living room, but rushes over once he sees your face.
“What’s going on?” He sets the plates aside, seating himself on your other side.
“We don’t know,” James says, moving to sit on the coffee table, his knees brushing your legs where they’re curled up under you. “She hasn’t said.”
“She’s right here,” you joke, but no one smiles.
Remus takes the hand not currently claimed by Sirius. “What’s wrong, love?”
You press your lips together to keep them from wobbling, blinking rapidly in a futile attempt to reverse the course the evening is taking.
“Honey.” His tone is admonishing, but still unbearably sweet, and you crumple, more tears falling as a gasping sob escapes you. Remus pulls you into him as though he can make you a shelter out of his own body, and you go willingly. “Was it a bad day? Is that it?”
You can only nod, not trusting yourself to speak. After a beat, Sirius asks, “Are we going to have to beat someone up?”
You laugh, and it’s awful and pitchy, but it loosens some of the pressure in your chest. James’ hand finds your shoulder, squeezing encouragingly before starting to rub slow, soothing circles into your upper back.
“I’m sorry,” you choke out.
“What the hell for?” Sirius asks, and you open your eyes in time to see Remus give him a harsh look. Sirius ignores him, reaching for you. His thumb is gentle as he wipes under your lashes. “You know you can tell us these things, don’t you?”
“I just—” You take a shuddering breath. “It was so embarrassing, and I didn’t want to ruin everyone’s night.”
“Sweetheart,” James coos. “We don’t care. We’d so much rather know you’re upset and be able to help than have you suffer in silence all night. Besides, don’t you think you deserve the same treatment you give us?”
Shame washes over you, and you tuck yourself further into Remus’ side. “You guys never ask as much of me as I do of you.”
James’ eyebrows jump nearly to his hairline and Sirius makes an incredulous sound, but it’s Remus who speaks. “Dove, are you serious? What about when I had a migraine last month, and you stayed home with me all day?” He maneuvers you in his arms until you’re facing him, looking you in the eye. “Or the last time James had a bad day, and you went on a run with him so he’d have company, even though you hate running? Or just last weekend, when Sirius got too wasted—” You can feel the glare Sirius is shooting him from behind you, but Remus continues—”and you stayed up with him all night holding his hair, and then in the morning you brought him gatorade and cleaned his sick out of the carpet?”
“Don’t act like you’re so needy,” Sirius says, and you turn towards his voice to find his stare just as piercing as you left it, “and we’re all perfectly self-sufficient. You’re not the only one who needs help sometimes, so if you have a bad day, we wanna hear about it.” He’s looking at you like your silliness astounds him, and James grasps your shoulder with a small smile, giving you a little shake as if to reprimand you.
You look helplessly towards the plates Remus had brought in only a few minutes before, discarded on the edge of the coffee table.
“Dinner’s gonna get cold,” you say mournfully.
Remus shrugs. “I’ll microwave it. And if you wanna talk, we will, and if you don’t, you can pick us a movie to watch, yeah?”
You look at the three of them, gratitude and love both so huge and warm in your chest you can’t tell which is which. “Okay.”
“Good.” Sirius tugs you out of Remus’ arms and into his own, planting a kiss on the side of your head. “Merlin, you’re tough to get things out of. Think you could go a bit easier on yourself in the future?”
“Yeah,” James pipes up. “Be nicer to our girl, she’s had a rough day.”
You hide your face in Sirius’ chest, flushing, but at least this time, your smile is real.

my wolfstar headcanons <3
remus learned to braid just so that he could do sirius’ hair when he’s having a bad hair day.
sirius carries an extra chocolate in his pocket in case remus needs some. he also has mint humbugs because remus likes them and so does he
remus is often subjected to “makeovers” by sirius and enjoys it every time, even if sirius nearly pokes his eye out with eyeliner.
sirius pre makes remus’ toast and tea on the mornings before and after the full moon.
on the nights where sirius can’t sleep, remus reads to him until he drifts off (often while playing with his hair).
when sirius learnt how to play guitar, he learnt remus’ favourite songs first because he wanted to impress him.
remus naturally runs very warm and sirius runs cold, so in winter when sirius is complaining about how cold he is, remus lets him sleep snuggled up next to him.
once remus has finished reading a book, sirius asks him questions about it and lets him just ramble about it for however long he wants and sirius loves it.
remus took astronomy classes more seriously when he started dating sirius because he wanted to know where to find him in the sky.
sirius has to go on his tip toes to kiss remus and it’s the sweetest.

summary: you have a headache. the marauders help. pairings: marauders x reader (platonic) w.c: 428
A/N: just a soft marauders drabble.
✧༺༻∞
“your potion is ready,” remus says softly, moving some of your strands that had fallen on your eyelashes away. “at the bedside table, whenever you want it.”
“is your head any better?” sirius chimes in from the opposite side you were laying down, his eyes met your recently socked feet and he pinched a toe. you squirmed, causing james to stir up from his slumber since you were bundled up in his arms.
“yes,” you reply, burying your face on james's chest. he smelled like a mix of soap and perfume because he'd just gotten out of the shower. “a little,”
something soft was pressed at the back of your neck.
“sit up,” peter requested, the bed creaking as he sat in the small space left at your side of the bed. you were about to complain when james lifted the both of you at the same time, his arms helping you sit down so you could take the potion peter was holding. “hey. 's just a sip, then you can go back to sleep,” he promised, smiling at your scrunched up face.
“one sip and the headache is gone,” sirius nudged your leg. “please?”
you sigh, outrastching a hand to take it. remus hums of appreciation could be heard as you finish the liquid. you made a sound of disgust as peter took the vial from your fingers to put it away.
“this is—”
“dreadful,”
“foul,”
“awful.”
“hey,” remus protests, frowning, “don't act like all of you don't get immediately better after taking it.”
sirius spares him a lazy grin, “does it have to taste that terrible, though, moony? you could do better than this.”
“next time you'll be left to rot without my potion to bear.”
the giggle that filled up the room made the bantering halt. james, remus, sirius and peter looking down at you with fond expressions. your eyes were fluttered shut and the crease in your forehead had diminished slightly revealing your head had given you a moment of peace.
“go to sleep, sweetheart,” james whispered against your temple, finger tracing your forearm.
“we'll be here when you wake up,” remus leaves a kiss at your forehead and steps away to his bed to finish up some assignments as you slept in. peter followed to his space, closing the curtains to also take a nap. as for sirius and james, they felt pretty comfortable were they were, sharing the tiny space left at your bed for them.

congratulations on the 1k yay!! 💐💐 can i request a blurb with remus lupin + " a first kiss: one just goes for it so fast that the other doesn't realize what's happening at first. then they're like "oh shit", with reader initiating?
ahh thank you so much sweetheart !!! i absolutely adored this prompt for remus ,, thank you so much for sending it in n i hope you like it <333
in all of your years of living, you had never really prided yourself on being a cautious or deliberate person. no, your brain seemed to thrive on impulsivity, favouring the 'do now, and face the consequences later' approach to life, disregarding the amount of worry it would cause you mere moments later.
and around remus, things only got ten times worse. because on top of your brain's tendency to ignore impulse control, you had an inability to think straight around the man you'd been seeing for the past few weeks, a combination that you were sure would soon prove deadly.
it was only a matter of time, really.
the sun was lightly filtering through the large window of your living room, casting a glow onto remus' side profile that caught the silvery scars adorning his face, the thin lines rippling like lightening across the expanse of his skin.
his hair was a little messy, stray locks poking up from where he had made himself comfortable against a few pillows on your sofa, and his long, slender fingers manipulated the tv remote in a desperate hunt for some half decent form of entertainment.
you couldn't help yourself.
the moment that remus turned to look at you, his lips parted in preparation to speak, you closed the small gap between you, leaned forward, and pressed your lips to his.
and maybe it wouldn't have been too bad, if not for one glaring detail: this was the first time you had ever kissed remus.
well, that, and the fact that remus had frozen, mouth not moving an inch against yours as he short-circuited at the sensation of your soft, warm lips against his own.
after a second or two, though, his mind snapped back into action as he registered what was happening, and the fact that, oh shit, he wasn't kissing you back.
swiftly, remus lifted a hand to cup your cheek, thumb brushing lightly against the top of your cheekbone as he relaxed into the kiss, not wanting to let you think for any longer that he craved anything else but your lips to remain on his for as long as you'd let them.

- final ode
technically a jegulily piece <3
no proof reading lmaoao
cw/tw !! selfharm scars, death, kinda postpartum depression, badly badly wrote bby
a pang of pain hit james as he glanced at the once buzzing room, now covered in a thick layer of dust, regulus had always been an artist, his studio was now just a shell of what it had been, the sense of chaos yet tamed by regulus' soothing presence. in the center of the room regs last piece stood, never to be complete. an painting of lily
regulus had always struggled with words - for as long as james had known him.
reg contrasted james' brash personality same could he said in the sense they both showed their love,
james preferred loud actions, and could easily speak 1000s words standing on top of a table in front of all his friends
where as regulus had always shown his feelings in small and gestures which silently spoke all the words he struggled to say, and thats what this painting perfectly embodied.
shortly after lily had given birth, she entered an deep depression and james tried everything, millions of sweet nothings muttered in her ears, yet nothing seemed to come through to her
but this painting was regulus last love letter for lily, his last ode to them , for all his love for them. thats what the incomplete canvas embodied. the oils still drying, yet the eyes of the artist who had been painting it were dryier then they had ever been. his body was never found so maybe the was hope, hope this painting could be complete, hope they could be them again
