Maribat x Bio!Dad Bruce/Adopted Marinette Headcanon

When Marinette starts to accept members of the Batfam as her family, she starts to sneak items of them into her room. In exchange she also sneaks items or little gifts she made for them into their rooms/living spaces. Considering they are a family of excellent detectives, it takes embarrassingly long for them to notice.

"Cute🐈‍⬛"

Winter. What better season to cuddle with your green eyed, cat-like boyfriend that is still getting used to the magic affecting his very being?

As everyone surrounded their favorite dark blue haired parisian who's beauty can rival those of a fairy, the green eyed youngest member of the family nuzzled his head into her neck.

After the incident that happened last week, the family that stayed in the large mansion called The Wayne Manor, consisting of Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Timothy Drake, Cassandra Cain, Duke Thomas, Stephanie Brown, Bruce Wayne, and Damian Wayne, grew a dislike for the cold. For it made their resident magic user go into a deep sleep that they feared was death.

And so, the butler of the family, Alfred Pennyworth, suggested the idea for everyone to move to the head of the house's study, which had a fireplace that could warm them up.

Dick took a particular liking to the idea, as he dashed to his room, grabbed a bunch of soft pillows, blankets, and snacks and ordered his younger siblings to start making a pillow fort that is not too close to the fire to burn, yet not too far so Damian's beloved can still feel warm and cozy.

Currently, everyone is lounging around the fire inside the fort, making sure the girl with pink pajamas named Marinette is kept warm at all costs So she would not fall into hibernation.

No one knows when it happened, but the pets also joined in with the family as they enjoyed each other's company in silence.

No yelling.

No screaming.

No fighting.

No knives.

Just comfortable silence around the fire as it snowed outside.

As the boys heard the purring of a cat, they just assumed that it was the cat named Alfred that did so, especially because the said cat was seated in his master's lap.

… But Marinette knew better.

After all, she was right beside him as he did so.

"Dami, did you just… Did you just purr?"

And like that, the comfortable silence became awkward, neither knowing how to react.

"I do believe he did, Miss. Marinette. Quite adorably too, may I add." Alfred the human confirmed as a fond smile graced his aging face.

The girl practically jumped from her seat into her lover's arms. "Omg Dami, that really was cute!! Ah! I'm sorry I moved! Are you still comfortable? You were just so cute I couldn't help myself" Marinette, unaffected by the bafflement of everyone else from the family, said while fussing over her boyfriend.

Damian on the other hand, was red faced with embarrassment, affection at his angel's fussing, and anger as he saw the look on his brother, Jason's, face.

Knowing he can't disagree with both Alfred and Marinette without disrespecting the former and hurting the feelings of the latter, he simply glared at his brothers, daring them to say anything.

"Very Cute"

Unfortunately for him, he was not expecting his elder sister, Cass, whom he respected more than most, to chime in.

This caused the rest of the family to break their silence and began teasing their youngest. Or in Dick and his father's case, gushing and documenting the adorable display by accessing the room's CCTV so thy can both have a copy of the moment. (unknown to them, Tim was doing the same but with completely different motivations)

Weeks passed, the incident almost forgotten by the family and only being reminded when Mari starts calling her boyfriend "My Dark Kitten".

Until Red Hood, in all his glory, just had to make his brother's life worse.

At first he started telling people how much he admired Dick, next he praised Tim's brain in front of the whole Justice League (really, that should have raised the flags for Damian), and finally he discussed how he was glad to have been taken in by the Batman, himself. (With this, even more so!)

It started off as a normal meeting at first, with the elder members talking about updates and how they can help the situation in paris to help the people heal from the emotional terrorist that they suffered from.

But then the current robin started urging people to get a certain class out of the city and have a vacation that he was convinced they needed.

Of course, none of the members of the JL (other than Wonder Woman and the Bat clan) knew that that class consists of most members of the Miracle Team but most of them already knew the identity of Robin and the Batfam and so Jason began his master plan.

"Aww that's cute, Demon spawn. Just admit you just want to see your angel"

The whole league froze (including Jon, who was also there), wondering if Red Hood had another death wish because he called Robin cute of all things.

"Tsk. What are you implying, incompetent bafoon?" Unsheathing his Katana, Robin glared at Red Hood. "I am nothing of the sort, you imbe-"

"So are you saying A was WRONG?" The ex street kid, mocked. "That your angel was LYING…"

And finally, with a smirk, unseen by the people without x-ray vision because of his red helmet, he finished with the nickname that would create chaos for years to come.

"Dark Kitten~"

By now Robin was seething with anger. But he couldn't enact on his feelings because doing so would mean agreeing on the questions his adoptive brother pushed forward.

Around them, the entirety of the League was preparing themselves for a fight. Expecting the bat's youngest to attack the ex crime lord.

When nothing came, Jon was practically shaking in fear while the meme "no one plans a murder outloud" was playing in his brain.

"Don't worry, Demon Spawn! Your anger is just making you more adorable! Aww~" Hood kept taunting.

By now, Batman continued with the meeting, ignoring his two green eyed children… and the rest of his children that started joining in.

Sigh why did he get the feeling that this was a petty revenge from three people that were constantly cleaning up their messes?

More time passed as the rest of the Bat family kept calling Robin Cute or Dark Kitten.

There was even one incident that Spoiler accidentally called him Dark Kitten while she joined Robin for patrol, which got confused looks from the rogues at first but then they started calling him that too (even if he wasn't currently dressed up as a cat).

Rogues calling him that got so frequent that he just snapped and yelled, "DO NOT CALL ME DARK KITTEN! I AM HER DARK KITTEN! ONLY MY BELOVED ANGEL CAN CALL ME THAT!!" Which became viral after a random civilian was able to take a video of it and posted it on multiple platforms.

And thus, when Damian finally dropped the mantle of Robin, and started wearing an assassin themed leather suit with a cat-eared hood, everyone already knew what his new name was.

Dark Kitten, along with Ladybug, became a power duo that was known to roam the land in search of different accessories while beating thugs and creating peace along the way.

Even so, people never really stopped calling him cute throughout the years.

And maybe… Just maybe… He has really gotten attached used to the compliment.

But don't tell his brothers that or you may end up in your grave a little early.

How to be a successful vigilante and a dad, by Bruce Wayne [Part 1]

Chapter 1: Baby? What for?

Amelie had a problem. She was pregnant. The baby's father? A certain Bruce Wayne. He was a student at her university and very handsome.

The problem?

Amelie was a married woman.

This could be surprising for such a young woman, but it was the case. She had to get married at 18 to save her family, which was riddled with debt. She didn't have much of a choice at the time, since her sister, unlike her, was dating a promising man (in the end, it didn't work out between them and Amelie had this feeling of injustice in her chest).

So, she concocted a plan. She went to talk to her sister Emily and told her the whole truth. Emily was shocked at first, but then Amelie gently reminded her sister of her own situation. Indeed, Emily was just as beautiful as her twin. However, the young woman was sterile and had not spoken about it at all to her fiancé Gabriel Agreste. However, she knew that her fiancé wanted to start a family.

They would both be winners: Amelie would be rid of the baby and Emilie would have a child who would look like her and who genetically could be hers because they were twins.

They went to their first medical appointments together. Unfortunately, they discovered that there was not just one, but two babies.

Amelie took matters into her own hands. First, she gave the doctor a large sum of money to keep him quiet. The man accepted without any problem. Then came a new and surprising dilemma for Amelie.

"Amy, I don't want two children. One is enough for me."

"Emy, what do you want me to do with the other one?"

"I don't know. I don't care."

"And to say that everyone thinks you're a saint... Does Gabriel know you're a naughty girl?"

Emily looked at her coldly.

"I'm not in the mood for jokes."

"I would have been surprised if you had, dear Emy."

Amelie did not take the teasing any further. Contrary to appearances, Emily was a true witch, and she had no desire to get on her twin's bad side.

"We'll figure it out at the time of delivery. We'll just have to arrange for your fiancé Gabriel and my husband not to be present."

"Hmmm."

So, taking advantage of the fact that her husband was still abroad, Amelie hid her pregnancy, while her sister Emily pretended to be pregnant. The two sisters switched places with each other when it was time for ultrasounds or medical appointments. They always went to the same doctor, whom Amelie had graciously paid. The man would give them fake ultrasounds.

They were so good at imitating each other that Gabriel never realized anything.

I' m starting to understand why Emilie loves him so much. He is such an easy puppet to fool.

After 8 months of pregnancy, Amelie was ready to give birth. Emily arranged for Audrey Bourgeois to take Gabriel with her on a tour of Paris. The two worked together, Audrey was the one who had "discovered" Gabriel. It wasn't very difficult to convince her, this b*tch had a soft spot for Gabriel (even though she was married too, but Emilie wasn't the type to judge).

Amelie's husband was somewhere in Australia partying with an escort girl that Amelie had paid. The woman's job was to keep him distracted, and so far, she had done a fantastic job. Amelie was going to give her a small bonus.

Two little boys were born. Only three people had witnessed the birth: Amelie, Emily and the doctor who worked for them.

Amelie was feeling tired. At her side, her sister looked at the newborns attentively. They were strictly identical.

"I'll take this one."

"If it'll make you happy. What's my nephew's name?"

"Hmm. Felix. I'll call him Felix-Athanase Agreste."

"Very well. The remaining one... Let's call him Adrien Athanase."

"Why name it if you're not going to keep it?"

"His father has to call him by something."

"His father?"

"That's right. I'll give him to his biological father. Let him do what he wants with the boy, I'll wash my hands of him.

Emily chuckled. Then she took the child she liked best and left the room without a backward glance. Amelie watched her do it. It was part of their arrangement, for her there was no problem.

Amelie entrusted the child to her secretary, a trustworthy woman. Once she recovered from her delivery, she took the child with her and went to Wayne Manor. However, to her surprise...

"Not there? What do you mean he's not here?"

"You heard me ma'am. Master Bruce is away for a while, so I'm afraid he won't be available while away.

"I see."

Amelie was in front of the gate of Wayne Manor. She had taken care to disguise herself so that she would not be recognized. She didn't have time to waste, so she tried her luck.

"You see this baby."

She lifted the baby so that he could be seen by the surveillance camera at the Manor's entrance.

"His name is Adrien Athanase. He's Bruce's son and from now on, he'll be your problem."

She set the baby down in front of the door and began to walk away without a backward glance.

"Ma'am? Ma'am?!"

Amelie got into her car and drove away. The baby was now in the hands of Bruce's servant. It didn't matter what he did with the thing, she didn't care.

3 years later.

Bruce had just finished his training. He had traveled the world to learn the best fighting techniques and perfect his knowledge. He was ready to become the vigilante Gotham needed.

At least that was his plan. When he finally returned to the Mansion, he didn't expect to find a little blonde boy with green eyes looking at him curiously in his kitchen.

"Alfred? What is this child doing here?"

"Hello to you Master Bruce, this is young Master Adrien. He' s your son sir."

Silence ensued.

" He' s my WHAT?!"

Searching for a Maribat Fic (3). Help?

I remember reading this fic in AO3. I'm not sure if it was a Daminette or if it was Bio Dad Bruce or Marinette getting adopted by the Wayne Family. I just remember that the BatFam knows about Mari being the Guardian and then they end up talking about the Lazarus Pit and the effects it left on Jason and Damian. Mari offered to heal them but she'll have to make positions and the healing needs to be private for each person. Mari first heals Jason and she uses the mouse miraculous to use multiple miraculous and one of them was the Cat. She uses it to cataclysm Jason on the chest and his last thought went smth along the line of 'Why?'. After that, I think she revives Jason? I don't remember much about how she brought them back. I do know that she uses her blood for the potion because it needed the blood of someone who is intimate with death or maybe the word was someone who understood death very well. Ofc BatFam doesn't know this until she heals Jason and starts healing Damian. With Damian, it went a little differently. She kills him and pulls/takes the Chaos Shard from his chest and makes a clone of hers jump into space so that the chaos shard can explode in a safe area, which ends up killing clone her. BatFam finds out what she had to do after that and were devestated.

She's about to jump out and transform when Alfred knocks on her door. "Come in!" she calls out.

The butler comes in with a plate of warm cookies, and another smaller plate of fruits for Trixx. "A snack before you depart, Miss Marinette?"

She lights up and hops to grab the plate. "That looks good! Thank you, Alfie."

"I bid you good luck for tonight. The boys are blowing off some steam for patrol."

She shares a laugh with Tikki. "Don't worry, I have plenty of luck for everyone."

Chance Encounters (Maribat idea I'm throwing around)

Marinette moves to Gotham to pursue fashion. She has to finish her last year of high school at Gotham Academy and do an internship over the summer, but if she does she gets a massive scholarship to Gotham University. They were more than happy to help out Jagged Stone's famously young personal designer. Obviously, this puts her in classes with Damien Wayne, who barely talks and only ever calls his brothers by their last names.

Jagged insists on setting her up in a penthouse for her stay in Gotham, but Marinette argues that being a single girl living in a fancy penthouse is like asking one of the Gotham rogues to kidnap or rob her. They compromise on a nice apartment with a state of the art security system, one owned by Wayne Enterprises. Another tenant on her same floor, Jason Todd, stops by to scope out the new neighbor. He seems nice enough, but he keeps calling his older brother "Dick" and Marinette can't tell if that's his name or just an insult. Apparently he does this whenever someone new moves in to see if he’ll have to move. Marinette tells him to let her know if he does, Because she says if he doesn’t feel safe living in this building anymore, she definitely wants to leave. Jason is amused by this and decides she can stay.

It doesn't take long for Marinette to encounter Gotham's bad side. After a few months of living there she's seen plenty of rogue attacks. She's been lucky enough to stay out of it. After all, if the villains aren't magical there's nothing her Miraculous Cure could do anyway. Her luck is apparently starting to run out though, because now she's being held up at knife point in an alley. She obviously takes the guy down after years of being Ladybug and calls the cops. Dick Greyson is the officer on scene. He's incredibly friendly and is super impressed that she managed to take the guy down, but Dick has seen corrupt cops take people in for self-defense if it means someone else owes them a favor. He gives her his personal cell in case anything like this ever happens again.

Through all of this, Marinette has been spending more and more time with Damien at school. Marinette is hesitant to trust all the smiles and niceties around her after Lila's manipulation and wants to truly get to know someone before she puts any trust in them. Damien is the only exception. She was warned of his reputation as the "Ice Prince" of GA before meeting him and found talking with him to be incredibly refreshing. There was absolutely nothing fake or over the top about him. He was straightforward and down to earth and Marinette found comfort in that. She decided that she trusted him on day one. Likewise, Damien finds her skeptical attitude toward the other students to be incredibly validating. Growing up in the League, everyone was always pretending, even to the other assassins. You had to act a certain way around the right people, and manipulation was the key to survival. Marinette seems to notice people trying to take advantage of her and recognize when someone just wants a favor, and he respects that. Regretfully, and to Jon's great joy, Damien finds that he thinks of her as a friend.

Word eventually gets out that Marinette is Jagged's designer. This is, of course, entirely Jagged's fault. Some good comes out of all the extra attention, though, when she learns that the co-CEO of Wayne Enterprises is a fan of hers. He makes a commission for a new suit and, upon learning of her situation, offers her a position as his families personal designer over the summer to meet her internship qualifications for GU. They set up a meeting in person for her to take measurements once her midterms are over.

When everything is going well though, something has to throw a wrench into things. The Batfamily raids one of Black Mask's warehouses late one night, and Red Hood takes a few too many bullets and a pretty big hit to the head. The kevlar took most of the hits for him, but he's badly bruised and nursing a concussion. It's the concussion that causes him to stumble into the wrong window of his apartment building and scare his new neighbor half to death. Marinette does what she always does and helps the vigilante without question. To do that though, she has to take off his helmet. She assumed he would have a mask underneath or something. He does not. Marinette is not as surprised as she probably should be, and Jason is pissed when he wakes up. He realizes after a while that this isn't her fault. She's been taking care of him since he was too stubborn to go to Bruce, and if she wanted him or his family dead she could have done something about it by now. He decides to put a little trust in her, but keeps an eye on her just in case. This is what clues him into the situation. In her time here in Gotham, she's managed to meet all of the Wayne brothers aside from Duke, and she has no idea they're even related.

Jason, of course, finds this absolutely hilarious and wants to see just how far this madness can go. He sends Duke to her favorite coffee shop. He refers Marinette to the same dance studio as Cass. Marinette, completely on her own to Jason's disbelief, enters the same Ultimate Mecha Strike tournament as Stephanie and absolutely destroys her. Jason lives for the chaos and Marinette is completely oblivious.

Eventually, after a few AO3 tags (slow burn, feelings realization) Marinette and Damien start dating. Damien feels guilty for hiding that he's Robin from Marinette, but he knows that he'd be sharing more than just his own secret and doesn't want to betray his family's trust. He realizes that if he wants to share everything with her, his family has to trust her as well. She'll have to meet them. He tells Marinette all of this, and she shares that she's been keeping her own secret as well. Marinette hasn't told him about Ladybug even after Tikki has given her blessing, and she's been feeling guilty about it as well. She encourages him to tell her whenever he feels ready and assures him that she can wait until then. She trusts him, and she asks for that same trust in return.

Damien trusts her of course, and everything goes back to normal for about 30 seconds. Then, Damien starts trying to prepare her for the chaos she's about to find in his dining room that night. Little by little, Marinette starts to realize that she already knows every single person he's talking about. Only, that means so much more than she could have realized, because if Jason is Red Hood and his brother "the Dick" is Nightwing, then that means Dick Greyson is Nightwing and Damien's older brother, which makes Damien Robin, and oh no she thinks she knows exactly what that secret is that he didn't want to share yet.

Hear me out, you take both Maribat and the DPxDC (batfam) fanfics. Go through the whole omg bio kids thing, but as for how they came into existence I propose:

That time Bruce was just surfing through time with amnesia while his kids thought he was dead, he meets these two pairs of couples and they all decide to have threesomes on separate occasions bc why not. And when he gets back to the present he doesn’t rly think about it but somewhere a teenage boy will or has turned into a half-ghost-half-not-ghost and a young-teen girl will or has become a magical girl.

SURPRISE! [Part 4 of 5]

SUMMARY: Jason discovers that he has a daughter.

Warning: Some colorful langage.

Chapter 4: WHAT?!

Jason was packing up his new apartment. After Bruce's disappearance, Dick contacted him and asked him to attend an emergency family reunion in Gotham. He couldn't refuse his brother this favor, although he would never admit it. Bruce had left behind two kids far too young to take care of themselves.

Damian was only 10 years old, having joined the family just under a year ago.

Marinette was only 8 years old. She and Damian did not get along at all. They both had the same problem: they were spoiled rotten.

Bruce had clearly destroyed the little girl by always giving her what she wanted and letting her every whim pass without consequence. Damian had the same problem; his mother had made him believe that he was some kind of prince and that the world should revolve around him.

A self-centered prince and a quirky little princess... An atrocious mix.

He didn't want to leave Dick alone to face all this.

It was true that the two men had not always been on good terms, that his resurrection and his aggressive behavior had not helped. It had been a little over a year since he had calmed down and gradually started to get closer to Nightwing again. His relationship with Batman was still complicated. His relationship with Tim was... strange. The kid had forgiven him for his past mistakes, however, Jason on the other hand was having trouble forgetting what he had done. He didn't know how to apologize for it either...

He knew that Tim was still with his friends, but that he was on his way to Gotham. They were going to have to decide what to do with the legacy Bruce had left them, and by legacy, he wasn't just thinking about Batman. What to do with Wayne's enterprise? Who was going to take care of it? Should it be announced that Batman was dead? Who would take over the burden?

Even dead, you're still a pain in the ass, Bruce.

Suddenly, his phone started ringing. Jason was going to ignore it, but then he realized it was Dick.

Strange.

He picked up his phone.

"What?"

"Jason... Are you... Are you alone?"

Dick's voice was hesitant. It alerted Jason immediately. Was there more bad news to add to the pile of crap Bruce's disappearance had caused?

"Yeah, why?"

"I... Can I come over? I... I need to talk to you... It's... It's important. It concerns you directly.

"Hm."

Jason chose not to argue or ask for more, if Dick wanted to see him in person then the problem was serious enough that he didn't want anyone to know.

The man sighed.

He went to his kitchen and began to make coffee. He had a feeling he was going to need a huge dose of caffeine in his bloodstream to take in what Dick had to say.

"I....... I'm not sure I got it all right, can you do it again?"

Dick sighed. This was the third time he'd repeated the same thing over and over.

"Marinette is Xia-Bing's daughter, and yours by the same token."

" .... "

"Yes, I did the tests again, over twenty times."

" ... "

She was selfish, didn't care what people thought as long as she got what she wanted. Hell... He had even heard from Tim that Bruce had given her an island as a birthday present... WHO GIVES AN ENTIRE ISLAND TO A 4-YEAR-OLD BABY?!

What to do?

Would Marinette accept it? She hardly knew him. They had hardly ever spoken together.

Did he want to take on the role of a father? After all this time... After all he had done?

Could he even judge Bruce? The man had given everything to Marinette. Would he have been able to give her that much affection?

Did he have the right to destroy a little girl's life? Because it was bound to have an impact on her... From one day to the next, she would learn that the man she thought was her father was not...

This little girl's life was a lie.

Okay, it's official. I hate you, Bruce.

Respectfully, I am just freak out about the 'death grip' the batfam fandom has on Danny Phantom and Miraculous LadyBug

I just don't like how most authors just forgot the characters themselves, their entire personality and personal plot when they turn them into a 'batkid'

Also, the sheer number of fics, like...at least 50% of the Miraculous x Batman/Young Justice/ Justice League are like that

Most genuine ignore Marinette's wonderful parents or bashing them, went to the typical Fenton-Hunting-Phantom-After-Secret-Reveal or Friends-and-Family-All-Dead

Or Long Lost Twins? Bio Dad Au? Kinda Weird

Or forgot Billy Batson's found family and his distrustfull street kid nature and independent life, not just the 'Yes, Mr Batman Sir' thats his alter ego. Pretty sure Billy, as feral 10-14 year old foster kid, would fucking bite them
