It's August 15th, time to post Kagepro!

Well... and a bit of P3.

So this was actually meant to be linked to an AU fanfic thing but I forgot about AO3's waitlist so I don't have my account today. I might post the prologue later here as a sneak peek (it was only gonna be that and chapter 1 anyway. This is shaping up to be a long long boi). It's the P3 cast if they were in a world with snakes and eye powers like KagePro and... it's A Lot. UPDATE: I HAVE MY AO3 ACCOUNT IT'S HERE!!

Swapping their poses really surprises me, as most of them still seem in-character. (Aigis and Ene having the same pose will never not be funny to me.)

It turns out that if you have coloured outlines on your models adding a simple blackoutshader makes them look so cool it's great.

Transparent versions for anyone who wants 'em.

I spent last night bored as hell, so I decided to just think about exactly how many Snakes are needed for Mary to rewind time and/or control the Kagerou Daze, because I guess these are equivalent feats. 

So, not counting the Combining Eyes or Retaining Eyes, but counting the Locking Eyes, I guess, even if I think they’re less Snakes and somehow just a genetic inheritance for Azami’s descendants because of this vague implication that Azami and Shion and Shion and Mary had the Locking Eyes while alive together, but in both cases the child was too young to know how to activate it so we could never get proof one way or another about it, but whatever, not what this is about. And, let’s count the Clearing Eyes in the total number of snakes for this. 

So, in Manga Route 2, the only Snakes Marry didn’t absorb were the Favouring, Focusing, Awakening, and Clearing Eyes. So, of the 10 Snakes, Marrie only had 6 of them. Only need 60% to become God, I guess. 

In Mekakucity Actors, if I remember correctly, Mary took the Snakes of everyone there without killing them, which is something she can do I guess that was and is never discussed again, man the LN is weird for having Azami pop up and then give startling wrong answers to pressing lore questions like “why do people “””only””” enter the Daze in pairs” or “how do we feed Marry more Snakes,” but, it’s okay, I can and will just assume that Azami doesn’t know how anything works specifically, she just makes assumptions the best she can, as is decently consistent with her character when you look back at the LN. Back to the point, that’s every Snake but Favouring, Clearing, and Awakening (can you also see the pattern here?), which is 7. Alright, we’re going up, so it looks like 6 is still our lower limit. 

And finally, the aforementioned LN, in which, spoilers I guess, everyone but Seto and Hibiya die. So, this means that Marrie has all the Snakes but Favouring, Stealing, Focusing, Awakening, and Clearing. That’s 5 out of 10 Snakes. Ergo, Mary only needs half of what Azami made to, at the very least, control the Kagerou Daze, assuming she didn’t, like, merc Seto or Hibiya after the fireworks to reset time. 

Oh, but I guess the Manga Route 2 and LN Route are assuming that absorbing Saeru into the Daze didn’t give her the Clearing Eyes or the Awakening Eyes to boost her power. So, if we go with the assumption that she does, then the lower limit increases to 7. 

Q.E.D., Marry needs, at the least, only 5 or 7 Snakes to become as god, depending on your interpretation of events. Fun.
