Synopsis : Mandaté par un riche américain, M. Greenleaf, Tom Ripley a pour mission de convaincre Philippe, le fils prodigue de ce dernier, de quitter l'Italie et ses vacances prolongées aux côtés de sa compagne Marge, pour revenir à San Francisco. Rapidement, Tom s'immisce dans la vie du couple, devenant l'assistant personnel de Philippe. Ce dernier l'entraîne dans ses péripéties, tout en ne manquant pas de lui témoigner du mépris.

And again, Khovaire and Sarlona are 'stolen' names from Eberron, but that's literally all the inspiration from that setting; this is all for personal shit anyways.

Dynamics expanded on below, mostly where they stand at the beginning of the 'story'.

Salem Fherai Solaris (any pronouns): "Sole" heir Prince of Khovaire, betrothed to Marion in order to ease war tensions between the two kingdoms. He's constantly accompanied by his personal body guard, not that that keeps him in check. They have a laissez-faire attitude and have for the most part shirked their duties as future King, with the announcement of marriage being a rude awakening to their responsibilities to the throne. While hating the call to 'grow up', they're hopeful that the arrangement could actually work in his favor.

Cal Bennet (he/him): Collar Knight Chevalier of Honor and House for Khovaire. A born werewolf as all Collar Knights are, his duty is to protect the Prince no matter the cost. Having been assigned to Salem since their youth, Cal has held close to his heart a long smoldering affection for the Prince. Knowing that Khovaire would never stand for a Prince and Collar Knight engaged, Cal has kept quiet about his yearning even to Salem, resigned to never have his love requited. At the announcement of marriage, he feels an innate loathing towards the Princess and a justified untrust of The Commander. Quickly though, he begrudgingly forms an attachment to the two Sarlona visitors, finding a confidant in Marion and a long needed equal in Haine.

Marion LaForet (she/her): Sole heir Princess of Sarlona, betrothed to Salem in order to ease war tensions between the two kingdoms, and possibly weaken Khovaire from the inside. A born vampire, the company of Haine is more of a personal need and comfort than actual protection. Clashing with her mother/Queen's ruthless nature as a vampire, she's determined to act in a kind and compassionate manner. As Haine confessed their devotion and love to the Princess, she struggles to follow her heart and her duty to Sarlona. Receiving a letter from the Queen revealing Haine's true identity and birth, adds another weight to her struggle of being a good person or a loyal daughter.

Haine Corvus (she/they): The Commander of Sarlona's armies, an infamous name within Sarlona. Having met and briefly trained Mari in their youth, they grew an attachment to the Princess, and feels a need to protect her despite her capabilities. Stolen from Khovaire as a toddler and as an orphan in Sarlona they were taken into the military and rose through the ranks to now be a major asset to the throne. A growing affection for the Princess was finally revealed and silenced as they set off for the arranged marriage in Khovaire, leading to a hatred of the Prince before even meeting. Despite this, Haine is aware of what Marion must do for the throne and vows to stay by her side, even if it means quelling their heart.
