Thanks for tagging me @figues . Love your blog, hon.
Favourite comfort food: Three words: maple bacon doughnuts.
Favourite alcohol (or hot drink!): The simple satisfaction of a good rum and coke is beyond compare.
Favourite relaxing activity: hanging out with the lads and talking philosophy while we get increasingly inebriated.
Favourite calming scent: honey suckle or fresh laundry
Favourite relaxing (or uplifting) song: Symphony No. 7 in C Maj. by Sibelius - particularly the climax from 5:00 to 6:30
Favourite white noise: rain, crackling fires, and crickets
Favourite book to get lost in: Wise Blood by Flannery O’Connor, or any Southern Gothic novel.
Favourite chill out tv show: I don’t watch television enough to answer
Best advice you’ve ever had: The best advice I’ve ever heard came from the men’s basketball coach at my university. He was speaking to a crowd.  “A lot of people think humility is self-deprecation. Humility isn’t thinking less of your self; it’s thinking less about yourself.”

Thank you for the tag @marigoldscholar , you are a literal angel <3
Favourite comfort food: oof I do love some spaghetti bolognese, the process of making it and then piling a huge amount of cheese on top of it is heavenly
Favourite alcohol (or hot drink!): For alcohol I like cider I guess (I’m not really a drinker) and for hot drink I loooove hot chocolate, I only have it when I really want to treat myself though haha
Favourite relaxing activity: Listening to music definitely, I have been very into k-groove lately
Favourite calming scent: The scent of my mom’s perfume, it always reminds me of how she is always here for me
Favourite relaxing (or uplifting) song: This changes all the time, but Sunflower Vol. 6 by Harry Styles is what I listen to every morning these days to wake up to an uplifting morning
Favourite white noise: I use this Slytherin Common Room sound while studying sometimes, but I am not the biggest fan of white noise so I don’t use it that often. I do love the sound of thunder and rain at night time though
Favourite book to get lost in: Any book by Agatha Christie! She is one of my favourite writers, my favorite character of hers being Hercule Poirot. I also really enjoy Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, every time I read it I notice all the little details he managed to put into that small book
Favourite chill out tv show: A Young Doctor’s Notebook or Call the Midwife, the first one isn’t a very “chill” show with scenes being quite gory and all, but the slight humour in it amuses me.
Best advice you’ve ever had: My mother always reminds me that it is okay to take a break sometimes. I am known for being very anxious and an overachiever in my family that I sometimes forget to eat, sleep, or rest between studying periods (especially right before exams), and whenever I feel overwhelmed I always remember her words and remember that there is nothing wrong with taking a break once in a while.

tagged by @satie-studies and @marigoldscholar, you’re both so lovely!
Favourite comfort food: bean and cheese burritos hands down
Favourite alcohol (or hot drink!): a real good mojito or white wine, and lactose-free hot chocolate! (or raspberry tea when I don’t want to risk it lol)
Favourite relaxing activity: painting with watercolors or watching an episode (or two) of my favorite show at the moment
Favourite calming scent: right now I’m big into the smell of prickly pear cactus! but anise, lavender, and browning rice are right up there too
Favourite relaxing (or uplifting) song: linger by the cranberries always brings me back to happy childhood memories and makes me feel safe wherever I am
Favourite white noise: I don’t use white noise to study but I love the sound of the rain and the river outside my window!
Favourite book to get lost in: The Hobbit. It’s a little silly, a little serious, and a beautiful story set in a beautiful world.
Favourite chill out tv show: New Girl has been a family staple for years because it’s so goofy and nothing truly bad ever really happens. My dad has watched it six times because he loves it so much!
Best advice you’ve ever had: when I was really struggling to get my academic writing in my target language to a higher level, my professor suggested I look at the specific language in the source texts and steal verbs and expressions to use in my essay. For some reason, it had never occurred to me that I could do that! Now it’s a tactic I use in my native language too
