Her aunt ignored her protests. "Marillion!" she shouted. "I need you, Marillion! I need you!" Sansa Page 1111
Blinded by her paranoia, Lysa uses Marillion to cover up the noise of whatever she has planned for Sansa.
This one is kind of standard. Mr. Martin doesn't describe the Eyrie's hallway much beyond the Weyrwood throne. I think I did a halfway decent job of making Lysa look like a threat.
Here's a song for Easter, appropriately called Easter, by one of my favorite bands. This song is one of all time favorite songs, and it has one of the best and most melodic guitar solos ever, in my opinion.
It's based on the poem Easter 1916 by William Butler Yeats.
"Forgive, forget. Sing never again."
Happy Easter everyone.

This is the video version, which is shorter, and has a cut version of the guitar solo, but it's a beautiful video partially shot on the Giant's Causeway

Here's the original version, remastered, with the full song and guitar solo.
Enjoy!

Here's a truly amazing live version of the song, with the whole huge audience singing and clearly knowing all the words.
"This is a song for the people – especially the children – of Gaza. It was written after many conversations with ordinary Palestinians living in the refugee camps of Gaza and the West Bank. I also spoke with Israelis, to N.G.O. workers, to a diplomat unofficially working in Jerusalem, and took their perspectives into account whilst writing the lyric.
It is not my/our intention to smear the Jewish faith or people – we know many Jews are deeply critical of the current situation – and nothing here is intended to show sympathy for acts of violence, whatever the motivation, but simply to ponder upon where desperation inevitably leads.
Many Gazan children are now the grandchildren of Palestinians BORN in the refugee camps – so called “temporary” shelters. Temporary for over 50 years now…
Gaza is today, effectively, a city imprisoned without trial. We ask you to add your voice to those already campaigning and lobbying for a peaceful and urgent resolution to this desperately unfair situation.
Please check out the “Hoping” foundation (www.hopingfoundation.org) which provides facilities and materials for Palestinian children enabling them to play, learn, and to express themselves through art, music, and the performing arts.
Help if you can. To dream, might not after all, be just a dream."

this might sound insane but I’m listening to Marillion and having listened to a lot of VDGG yesterday… I think Fish and Hammill have similar vocals. they don’t sound alike (no-one sounds like Hammill and Fish sounds very much like Gabriel) but the way they sing sounds similar to me? the unusual patterns of emphasis and sudden injections of emotion. idk just a prog thought!
