In Mario Super Sluggers, the loading screens contain looping animations of various characters. Although the animations appear to be simply regular 3D models, they are actually prerendered animation files, with each frame saved as a 2D image. As such, it is impossible to zoom in on them or to view them from another angle.
Here is Wario's loading screen animation, extracted from the game's files.

Problem: Playing Mario Super Sluggers only makes use of Wii Remote motion controls, not the nunchuk. Thus, playing the game often means wearing out my right arm, while leaving my left arm almost motionless.
Solution 1 (recommended): Take plenty of breaks and don't play for too long, otherwise your right shoulder will be sore for a couple of days.
Solution 2 (current plan): Switch hands every so often so your left arm also gets exercise.
Normally, games that feature a replay function are assumed to perfectly recreate the game state when replaying it, which will result in the replay looking exactly like the actual gameplay that is being replayed.
However, Mario Super Sluggers contains a glitch in its replay functionality whereby it will show Donkey Kong's expression being different in the replay than it was during gameplay, when replaying a Barrel Swing special move.
Left: how the Barrel Swing appears during actual gameplay. Note Donkey Kong's neutral expression when he pounds his chest.
Right: when replaying the scene, however, Donkey Kong's expression is retroactively changed to an angry one.

DK64 is 23 years old today. Despite the fact that she wasn’t included in the only 3D DK game to date, Dixie is actually not bitter about it. In this video, you can see her congratulating characters from that game.

super nintendo world is nice and all. but i wish baseball kingdom from mario super sluggers was real place you can go to. if not for the baseball, then just for exploring the areas dedicated to each mario character
The Mario baseball games were awesome (well, I've only played Sluggers for reasons which will soon become clear), since they provide such a surprising amoung of lore, especially due to the character chemistry... that K. Rool and King Boo would be pals, but K. Rool and Bowser hate each other (and this makes PERFECT SENSE to me btw)... that Peach and K. Rool are apparently on good enough terms as monarchs that she actually invited him to play ball, while Bowser had to invade.... that K. Rool loves baseball SO MUCH he got himself a new outfit for it and it may be the one thing for which he was willing to put aside his hatred of the Kongs...
...Yes it's the last game my favorite character appeared in for ten years dshfjk
But yeah Sluggers had a very fun amount of effort put into it! I want to go there and explore and watch baseball!!
