Okay idk if u wanna do this but May I request a crossover of vita Carnis and Mandela Catalouge headcanons?..

For Adam,Jonah and Mark. Basically they arrive at theyre s/o’s House..and find out they have a pet trimming named Meatloaf or something.s/o treat them like they’re baby like any pet owner would,what are they’re reactions?

Adam

He shows up at your door right as you were getting food for your pet.

It was especially important that you fed it at this particular time so it would settle down for the night...

But Adam's persistent knocking forces you to stop and answer the door, momentarily leaving it with an empty bowl.

"Adam? What are you doing here so late?"

"Did you get my message? Our client wants us to go to his place now. I got the salt and everything."

"...he's gonna have to wait a minute. I just gotta feed my pet and-"

"C'mon, babe. We can't lose this offer. I'm sure your pet's not gonna starve to dea-"

All of the sudden, both of you hear metal scraping and a loud whining noise that sounded like a dying animal, startling Adam while you just stare blankly at him. "You were saying?"

"..what the hell was that?????"

You decide it's better to just show him, so you go back inside and introduce him to your pet: a small six-legged fat lump of raw red meat with a collar around its neck.

"What the fuck is that?? An alien??"

"No, it's a Trimming. And their name is Meatloaf."

"....that literally explains nothing."

After feeding your Trimming and calming it down, you told Adam a little bit about its role in the Vita Carnis family.

Where you're from, they're common house pets, being even more popular than dogs or cats as they were docile and willing to eat anything.

When you're done explaining, he just stares at Meatloaf for a while, who's now swaddled in a blanket and curled up in your lap.

It looks kinda gross, but he is intrigued.

Apparently, it's trained to sniff out Mimics and scream when it detects one....which has saved your life on multiple occasions, and it did the same when it sensed an Alternate in your house not long after you moved here.

That's cool.

He thinks you should bring it on BPS assignments.

Jonah

On the other hand....

When you mentioned owning an exotic pet, Jonah didn't expect anything like this when he showed up uninvited, letting himself in with a spare key.

"Hey I brought some pizza for--WHAT THE HELL IS THAT, S/O?!!

Babe, please don't scream-"

"Am I tripping or is tHAT A FUCKING FETUS??!!!!" He points wildly to the Trimming sitting in your kitchen sink, covered in soap and looking saddened bc your bf interrupted bath time.

Meanwhile, you're pissed off by his yelling and covered its sensitive ears, glaring at him. "Will you calm down? This is a Trimming..you haven't heard of them?"

"No???? It looks like the goddamn chestburster from Alien! What is it?!!"

He was ready to run out of the house, but you convinced him to stay and you explained what a Trimming is, rinsing off the soap while doing so.

Poor guy's still trying to comprehend why (and how) a thing like this even exists, eyes wide as he watches you dry it off and care for it like you would a puppy or kitten.

It doesn't help that you call it "Meatloaf" and have a cute little bow on its collar/head.

Nothing you say will stop him from getting nauseous, suddenly losing his appetite for the pizza (especially since he got pepperoni and sausage on it).

You reassure him it's not gonna go to waste, instead feeding it to Meatloaf in bite-sized pieces.

Jonah's just in shock as it happily devours them with no hesitation, before it waddles back into your arms for cuddles.

You made it your mission to get him to hold it, trying to show him it's not scary at all.

It's....still a work in progress.

Mark

You knew exactly what he was gonna think of your Trimming.

So you explained what it was exactly, even showing him a photo so he's better prepared to meet it when he comes over.

The last thing you wanted was for him to scream "demon" and throw a bible at your sweet little nondemonic meat pet.

But still...he clams up when you greet him at the door, holding Meatloaf in one arm.

"O-Oh, it's..uh....cute...?" Mark tries his best to be polite, yet his face is as pale as a ghost's.

You're just relieved he didn't panic and cause a huge scene.

However, for a normally social creature...Meatloaf became unusually shy around him, flinching away when he attempted to pet it and whining if you put it down for too long.

It constantly followed you, refusing to be in the same room as him.

This keeps happening whenever he visits, and he's unsure what to do.

So one day he asks if it'll ever warm up to him.

"Oh! How could I forget? Trimmings usually like it when they're sorta "involved" in conversations..if that makes sense." You tell him. "Meatloaf probably thinks you're unfriendly because you talk to only me when you come over."

"....so..how do I fix that? By talking to it myself?"

"Yep!"

"Will it...understand me?"

"Not sure, but it just likes hearing chatter." You then speak to Meatloaf, scratching under its chin to stir it from sleep. "Hey, Loafy. My boyfriend wants to tell you something."

With the Trimming now looking at Mark, he feels...awkward, but he finally stutters something.

"H-Hey, uh...so I'm Mark. But you probably know that. S/o talks about me a lot and...uh....anyways we've been together for a few months. Sorry if I didn't seem that "friendly" to you, but I hope um...you...approve of us..?"

He trails off as it shifts out of your hold and climbs into his lap, curling up and cooing happily.

His eyes are HUGE and he's filled with fear(tm), but eventually makes the brave decision to pat its fleshy head, hearing it...purring?

Then you see his smile.

You're extremely happy about this bonding moment and had to snap a picture of the two.

'Yeah, this one's definitely for the books'

"Yeah, me and (Y/N) have been hanging out pretty much everyday this month, only besides the short 2 days when she was hanging out with you." (?) said, with a condescending smirk on their face as they stared down at Mark.

"..I see." He turned to look at you, "Is this the one who keeps having you cancel the hangouts?"

"I don't force (Y/N) to do anything, I think they just like a little better than you--" (?) started.

"I'm sorry? I don't like any of my friends more than the other!! You're all my friends, so I like you all equally!! Please don't pick another fight, (?).." You interjected. (?) just rolled their eyes and looked back at Mark.

"We've got somewhere to be right now, so goodbye." (?) said turning around and attempting to take you with them.

Mark grabbed you other arm softly and pulled you out of (?)'s arm lock, and silently lead you two away from (?).

𖠵𝟎𝟏: Mark didn't really initiate the relationship at first, not being all that interested in what relationships had in store.

however, he quickly grew fond of you, and Cesar highly encouraged him to ask you out! and that he did...

𖠵𝟎𝟐: he isn't a very touchy person, but he doesn't reject the idea, either. if you want to cuddle, he'll happily do so, but you have to be the one to initiate it.

𖠵𝟎𝟑: you happened to be a big stress reliever for this man! whenever he feels stressed or overwhelmed, he'll plop himself on top of you and ask if you can rant about something so he can listen to you talk.

𖠵𝟎𝟒: he's always been slightly protective over you regarding getting yourself hurt. when the idea of alternates came out, god, that was multiplied by 100,000.

he would not let you go almost anywhere by yourself. (at least out in public). he'd eye anyone you'd be talking to, trying to figure out if they were an alternate.

𖠵𝟎𝟓: he's a silent lover; he shows he loves you with smaller actions rather than big ones.

𖠵𝟎𝟔: it doesn't take much to make him happy romantically. as long as you're safe and unharmed, that's all that really matters to him.

𖠵𝟎𝟕: isn't much for PDA, but he'll hold your hand everywhere to ensure that you don't wander off anywhere.

𖠵𝟎𝟖: takes really good care of you! especially when you're sick or injured. he'll stress heavily over either one ‹/3 the boy just wants you to be healthy. he doesn't mind either, one of his favorite things to do is take care of you.

𖠵𝟎𝟗: makes sure to check on you regularly to see how you're feeling, physically and mentally; this was heightened after MAD came out.

𖠵𝟏𝟎: has always felt a little awkward around you, given how much he likes you. he sometimes shyly links your pinkies, hoping you'll get the memo that he wants to hold your hand.

for some reason, he won’t directly ask you when he wants affection…

𖠵𝟏𝟏: isn't too big on pet names, but he'll occasionally call you “baby/babe” or “sweetheart.”

𖠵𝟏𝟐: steal all of his hoodies!1!1 i guarantee you he has thousands. he finds you super cute in them anyways, especially if you’re smaller than him so that you drown in them. (he won't admit that, though).

𖠵𝟏𝟑: a really good cook! he always makes sure you’re eating well and enough ‹3

𖠵𝟏𝟒: one of his favorite things to do is run his fingers through your hair or even brush it if you let him ‹//3

𖠵𝟎𝟏: starting off with alive Cesar. he was more loud with his love! almost the complete opposite of Mark, really.

𖠵𝟎𝟐: a pretty big hopeless romantic, i'd imagine. he loved to take you out on really romantic dates. it doesn't matter if it was a big occasion or not.

𖠵𝟎𝟑: he'd boast on and on about how much he loves you to Mark ‹/3

𖠵𝟎𝟒: a big cuddle bug! he loved to be attached to your hip no matter where you went. he'd hold your hand without meaning to, LMFAO.

𖠵𝟎𝟓: would bring you home the biggest bouquet of flowers he could find and/or afford.

𖠵𝟎𝟔: each and every morning, you'd either wake up to: (A) Cesar literally on top of you or (B) you suffocated in his chest from him pulling you so close.

𖠵𝟎𝟕: Cesar liked to call you “baby,” “mariposa,” and “(my) love!”

𖠵𝟎𝟖: we all know he's a family man ‹/3 he was so excited to start a family and get married. starts crying

𖠵𝟎𝟗: loved to pick clothes out for you and choose your outfits.

𖠵𝟏𝟎: now, let's move on to alternate Cesar...

these apply to the theory/headcanon that any human who gets turned into an alternate still has their original features/personalities from their human self and has at least a silver of their dignity left. (@/hornyforgothdick headcanon.)

𖠵𝟏𝟏: he's a lot more withdrawn because he's scared he's going to hurt you accidentally.

𖠵𝟏𝟐: watches over you very intently while you sleep, making sure nothing (meaning any other alternates/intruders) gets inside your house.

𖠵𝟏𝟑: was very against the idea of affection, being incredibly not used to it (as an alternate). however, you've found out that giving him affection helps calm him down and keep his sanity intact — well... whatever's left of it anyways.

𖠵𝟏𝟒: grimaces at literally anyone else but you, given his nature of being an alternate. for that reason, you prefer he stays at home.

however, he despises the idea of you going out alone because he can't be there to protect you.

𖠵𝟏𝟓: i can't decide whether or not he'd tell Gabriel of you because he wants to make it abundantly clear that you should not, no matter the circumstances, be harmed by his or any other alternates hands or because he fears that Gabriel would purposefully try and target you.

꩜━━ADAM MURRAY, VICTIM 03. . .

𖠵𝟎𝟏: Adam is fairly similar to Mark when it comes to romance. although he more actively sought it out.

𖠵𝟎𝟐: Jonah noticed the way he kept staring at you and kept nagging him to confess because “it’s honestly sickening the way you look at them.”

Jonah was actually the one who gave you Adam’s number, LMFAO.

𖠵𝟎𝟑: he's infatuated with you and doesn't hear the end of it from Jonah and Sarah.

𖠵𝟎𝟒: you catch him staring at you with the most lovesick eyes like 24/7 and when asking why he says, “can’t a guy bask in his lover’s beauty?”

𖠵𝟎𝟓: one to hold your hand or have his on your thigh while he's driving.

𖠵𝟎𝟔: felt horrible he had to stop taking you out in public when he became wanted ‹//3

He insists on any form of physical touch

Literally he could lay down and have you do whatever you wanted to him and he'd be perfectly content

He has a little bit of physical separation anxiety and he does admit it takes a toll on him a little

ok so, Mark wanted you to live with him since he felt you’d be safer that way

not that he didn’t also want Sarah to go with him, it’s just that he had other things to do

but anyways, you live in a small house with him in the Mandela County, so that should be fun

actual hc:

when the news popped up that these creatures named “alternates“ were showing up, Mark thought it was a way to get people scared, like how the news always does

but, he started to get worried from the missing person reports that were happening more and more frequently

you were confused by this sudden change in attitude, you saw your brother get completely engulfed in paranoia more and more each day

he was constantly worried for sarah’s saftey, calling her every second to see if she was okay

and he was even more worried about you, he’d tell you to always lock EVERYTHING and to be aware

this really scared you, seeing Mark so manic made you suspenful of his health

he wasn’t even properly taking care of himself, not taking the time to give himself basic hygiene or even eat

there were times were you had to beg him to eat or sleep. Crying on the floor and asking him to sleep for just an hour

you always overhear him pray every night, telling god to at least save you and to watch over you

even though there were these really depressing moments, there was also very sweet ones

Mark would make pancakes for you for special mornings {all he really know how to make tbh}

depending on if you’re younger, Mark would read bed-time stories to you, to help you calm down and take a breather

he genuinely loves you, Mark tries to say that every day so you don’t feel like a burden

you mostly spend time in his room, Mark tries to keep you close at all times, leaving his sight would make him get a heart-attack

it all changed when Mark got that call from Cesar

right after he came home he told you to pack your bags because you couldn’t stay there

he said that you were going to sarah’s

you could tell he was dead serious from his expression and how quickly he said it

after that night though

you never saw him again .. it was until you heard that he shot himself that you heard about him

He tried to get Cesar to join in too but he declined the offer much to Mark's dismay

Mark is a pretty jumpy person so watching horror movies would be a no go with him

He really likes comedy tho and will only watch a rom-com if it's laughably bad

Mark is a nice and polite dude so if notices that you're cold he'll totally lend you his hoodie

Just give it back tho, he doesn't tolerate thievery

With the alternates running around Mark plans as many sleepovers with you and Cesar as he can for group protection

Plus it makes him feel good knowing the two people he cares about the most (besides his sister) are safe

Mark begs for you and Cesar to get protection for yourselves (preferably a weapon) so that y'all would have a chance at survival if it ever came down to that

At the end of the day he's a caring and loving friend who wants to see his friends be happy and safe

Having a Mark as an older brother will mean one thing; overprotectiveness. He obviously loves and cares for you a lot, he takes responsibility for your actions for being the older brother. He makes you stay away from any electronics like the tv and such. Mark is not gonna risk you getting caught by an alternate anytime soon, but even if that means he has to risk his life for you.

He also makes you stay in your room at night, unless you really have to go to the bathroom. If you need anything like food or a drink, he'll get it for you. Like I said, he's really overprotective.

In another hand, Mark loves to spend time with you! Like maybe playing a game, drawing, or just talk. Even being protective, he still wants you to feel seen and loved.

After he went to Cesar's place, he came back looking horrified and paranoid. You had no idea what was wrong, until he told you to stay in your room and never unlock the door even if it's him. You were worried for him. You were aware of the alternates roaming around in Mandela county, but you didn't actually think one could be in your very own house.

Mark usually brought you to the church with him "to find answers". You hoped that god would somehow save you and your brother from this hell hole, but you came to realize sooner or later that what you guys were living through right now is in fact reality, no one can help you.

Mark heathcliff x reader, Part 1

Warning: Violence, Cursing, Alcohol Use, Abuse

You have been friends with Mark and Cesar since you guys were kids; you been really close to Mark since he lived close to you, and he had gone through the same thing as you did, for example, you got kidnapped by six, so did Mark.

As you grew up, you've been living with your auntie, since your parents died; you had to move out of Mandela County and live with her.

She wasnt nice and she forbid you to mention anyone that lived in Mandela County, and if you did, she would get extremely violent, but you still missed your friends, and you planned to go back to Mandela county and reunite with them; you picked up the telephone and out in Mark's number since you remembered it, you placed the phone up to your ear as you waited for him to pick up.

"Hello?" You heard his voice, he sounded...tired and...frustrated; "Mark..." you said his name as you started crying a little, "Who's this..?" His voice cracked a little, "Its me..Y/N.." You waited for him to say something.

"Y/N....? Why did you leave..?" He now sounded like he was gonna cry; "My Auntie forced me to move here...and shes extremely controlling and shit, can you please send a cab, or something..?" You wanted to get out of here.

"Huh..? Oh yeah sure, you can stay at my place while you...get yourself back on your feet.." He yawned, "Y/N!!!" Your aunt yelled, you flinched and quickly told Mark "I got to go, please be quick about sending me a cab.." you then hanged.

You placed the phone back into its holder; "Yes...?" You walked into the living room, "Who the hell were you talking to..?" She asked as she held a beer bottle in her left hand, she stumbled as she walked towards you.

You took a deep breathe and directly told her "I was talking with my friend Mark-!" she cut you off my slapping you hard across the face, making you fall on the floor, you placed your hand on the cheek that was burning.

You refused to cry as you looked up st her; "DIDNT I TELL YOU NOT TO MENTION HIM!!??" She yelled in your face, and you just gagged at the alcohol smell, "Hes my friend, so I get to say his name if I want to-" you then felt a punch to your face, you collided with the wall.

You shakily breathed as you felt your nose bleeding; you then kicked her in the leg and saw her fall down, but she hit her head on the counter harshly; you watched as she bleed while laying on the ground.

You sat up and looked at her while smirking a bit, you then headd a car close by; so you went to your room and started packing clothes and important necessities, you looked at your notebook and grabbed it, went you went out, you stepped over your aunt's body and went towards the front door.

Your finally going to meet your friend..

Headcanons for Mark, Jonah, and Adam and an S/O who has a bunch of vita carnis Mimics as "helpers."

What would the three of them think of someone who can somehow "tame" these things and just keeps them around as house pets? They just hang out in their home and on their little plot of land (that I'd imagine is isolated because people moved tf away when the rumors started spreading) and keep any threats away. Reader doesn't actively do anything to sate their diet though. Although they aren't opposed to the Mimics stomping out any would-be troublemakers or those who piss them off... They still get their food themselves but use reader's home as a place of refuge.

Maybe the way the three of them meet their S/O was finding out that Alternates were being warded off from there. Idk, I haven't had a chance to get fully invested in MC but the idea just sounds really interesting. Also, I have the mental image of a Mimic putting away the dishes and someone's immediate reaction is screaming "What the FUCK is that?!?!" And just getting this whole explanation of what it is and that this one and all the others are friendly despite it needing to be reminded that the human in front of them is not food.

I LOVE that mental image you described. Mimics just doing chores and human things, only to see an actual human look at them absolutely HORRIFIED

He was relieved to get away from the Alternate-populated Mandela County for a while.

But when you answer the door while preparing dinner, you called out for James (one of the male Mimics you named) to stay in the kitchen...

Without realizing how extremely suspicious that sounded until you saw the look on Mark's face. "Who's James?"

"Oh! He's uh...can you wait here while I-?"

"Is he your new roommate or something?" He jumps to conclusions immediately, thinking you're cheating on him as you never told him you lived with another person.

In anger he storms past you to confront this "James" you were apparently being so secretive about....

Before you could stop him, he sees the Mimic and freaks out, causing it to drop the plate it was holding and screams right back at him.

You're quick to disperse the situation before it becomes a bloodbath, but by then it's too late. Mark was thoroughly traumatized.

When you mentioned living with creatures who kept the local Alternate population out of your town..he didn't think they'd be be skinless humans.

He locked himself in your bathroom, trying to stave off a panic attack as he recites his prayers, convinced there was "evil" hanging over your house.

Eventually he lets you in and you help him calm down, reassuring him that wasn't the case at all before explaining the Mimics and their role in your household, answering whatever questions he had (which were a LOT).

"Even if they're not demons....why would God make something like that?"

"Maybe..it's the same reason he made the platypus."

"......that's not the same, s/o."

"I know, I'm just trying to help."

Jonah

He's made jokes about the Mimics before.

But he didn't think they were real living and breathing creatures you were coexisting with.

He swears he was smoking something when he saw one wearing your clothes and sweeping the floor with a broom like any ordinary person would.

At first he tries to be chill about it as to not freak you out..

Until he goes into your pantry for a snack and finds shelves with jars filled to the brim with Crawl sticks.

As well as a Mimic curled up on the highest shelf, asleep.

Next thing you know, Jonah's dry heaving over the nearest trash can.

"Babe for the love of GOD please tell me that I'm on some weird ass trip because I can't handle this rn"

"...well maybe if you didn't brush off my research, you wouldn't be as scared." You pat his back before glaring at the Mimic who was just seconds away from lunging at your boyfriend at his most vulnerable moment.

"Jonah, sweetie..rule number one is to never turn your back on a Mimic unless you're running away from it." You make him turn around to face it, and they stare at each other before it eventually calms down and leaves.

Even after you explained how you "tamed" the Mimics, he's too scared to leave your side or be alone in the same room with one.

Their permanent smiles and wide eyes just...give him the chills. Even if they're just staring with curiosity, he always insists it's a look of hunger.

They are aware he's dating you and will playfully threaten to eat him, but never actually go through with it bc you'd probably kick them out and leave them without food.

Adam

(gonna make this post-Catalyst)

He's having a tough time keeping the relationship alive and coping with being an Alternate--a secret he only recently shared with you.

Despite him being the first one you've ever encountered, you're not all that afraid. Just surprised.

You confess to having your own secret to share, taking him to your home where you could talk about it more.

He keeps asking how you could trust him with anything when he looked like a hideous monster. But you reassured him he'll understand soon enough.

After you arrive, he sees the Crawl trees behind your house, but thinks nothing of it until you bring him inside.

You whistle and a Baby Mimic comes skittering towards you on all fours, climbing onto you like a koala bear before you turn back to your boyfriend, smiling.

It takes him a second to connect the dots. "....wait, that's a....Vita Carnis...i-it's a real thing??"

"They've always have been."

"Wow, this is...one hell of a secret. D-Does..that Mimic know what I am?"

"The adults can usually tell, but this little bugger thinks you're tasty food." You scratch the baby Mimic's chin, hearing it coo sweetly as it nibbled on your jacket strings. "But you see why I'm not scared of you? Because I've made peace with these "hideous monsters", just like I've made peace with what you told me."

He tears up at your sweet and kind words, though he listens as you introduce him to the "helpers" of your household aka the adult Mimics who wore your clothing and were doing different tasks.

They all kinda stared at Adam as he awkwardly greeted them, but didn't do anything more.

It's strangely comforting that they perceive him as a human.

At the same time, he feels lucky to not look appetizing to them.

Adam instantly freaked out and went to grab his water bottle and hand sanitizer

After that he put a little bit of hand sanitizer on the cut. Yes it stings but its helpful

You and Jonah were doing a mission in a home

You were on the ground setting up a camera when Jonahs arm moved a vase and it crashed on your head, causing it to shatter

He instantly swooped in to make sure your okay

He checks your scalp, your skin, face, whatever could of been hurt

If any glass did cut your skin, he will instantly pick you up and take you to the bathroom to clean you up

He cleans up the glass after he takes care of you

He is much more careful when working

He doesn't exhile you to a bed or something

But if you do need a hospital trip, like let's just say glass fell in your eye or somthin

That mf stops whatever he's doing and drives to a nearest hospital

Yes he's putting himself at risk to be caught, but he disguises himself best he can cause he's going in with you
