Remember the halloween event that the NRC trying to be scary but they all end up looking cute n stuff?

I was thinking the states all the attempt of spook all failed or got them starttel a little, till they say they seen scarier shit and invite them to watch a horror movie

The Ramshackle have full out buffet of food the projection ready for the movie, and full on horror movie marathon is on thanks to some of them download the movies in their devices before coming to twisted wonderland

ALL HOLLOWS EVE!

All the boy's were sad the states didn't react to most of their scares that even MALLEUS did. All of them said they have almost died by something and other things that happened in their state. They then got the idea of putting on their Scary movies to show the twst boys.

New York and Idia were able to pull some shut and get most of the movies to this world. Don't ask how NY just shrugged and said she's been doing this for a while. So most of the states were cooking and making snacks while the others made Ramshackle's Movie theater all clean and good. They had a fuck ton of pillows, blankets, and other comfort things, even plushies!

As the states argued on what movie they should torture show the boys they all agreed on one movie. As above so below. (idk I couldn't decided on one so i picked this one.) Archaeologist Scarlett Marlowe (Perdita Weeks) has devoted her whole life to finding one of history's greatest treasures: Flamel's Philosopher's Stone. According to legend, the artifact can grant eternal life and turn any metal into gold. When she learns that the stone is hidden underground in the Catacombs of Paris, she assembles a crew to guide and document her historic mission. As they begin their descent, the team-members have no way of knowing that they are entering their own personal hell. When they explained that the boys shrugged thinking it wouldn't be so scary.

Oh they were wrong this movie wasn't that scary per-say but it did fuck with you mentally a bit. When it showed the hanged man in the beginning some of the boys hide themselves. As they watched the girl slowly turn insane and basically bringing her friends and other people to their death they all agreed on staying in Ramshackle for a big sleep over. Then the states decided to show them the different slasher movies. Kalim had nightmares for a week, Riddle didn't trust anyone, Trey and Jamil tried to calm them, Ace freaked out Riddle more.

Deuce and the other first years did mess with their dorm-head a little bit but Sebek couldn't bring himself to do his Waka-sama so he did Silver, who was asleep for most of the movie.

“Here we are! A fine meal, if I do say so myself!” Meglapus set two plates filled with eggs, sausage, bacon, and toast in front of Marlowe and Grim. A stack of pancakes was set between them a moment later.

The mouthwatering smell of the crispy bacon and sausage filled the lounge, where Meglapus insisted they eat. Everything looked like it belonged in a five star restaurant, from the fluffy eggs to huge pancakes.

Meglapus set down Minestrone’s dog bowl filled with his own specially made breakfast. “It’s only fitting I make something for all my new housemates.” the merman patted the dogs head as he dug in.

Just as they were about to dig in, an ‘ahem’ made them pause. Looking up with a scowl, Marlowe glared at the six house intruders.

“What do you want?”

Azul chuckled, “I was just checking to make sure my cousin wasn’t being a nuisance-” “ZUZU-CHAN!”

Meglapus all but plowed his body into Azul’s, arms wrapping around him in a bone crushing hug. “Oh, how I’ve missed you!”

“M-Meglapus, please p-put me-!” “we have so much to catch up on! You’ve been so cold to me, almost never answering my letters or texts! How could you be so cruel to your beloved cousin?!” he sobbed into Azul’s shoulder while simultaneously stroking his head, “oh, my poor little cousin, you’ve endured so much. And having to go through an overblot on top of all this-” Azul shoved him away.

“How do you know about that?” he hissed, “the headmaster-” “your friends told me.” Meglapus interrupted. Taking out a handkerchief, he wiped his eyes before continuing.

“You’re lucky they told me and not auntie.” straightening, Meglapus looked down at the smaller merman. Putting his hands behind his back, he grinned down at his cousin.

“The seven know the uproar that would happen if it got out that three overblots had occurred at a pristine school such as Night Raven. Especially in such a short period of time. It’s easy to use such information as blackmail, my dear Azul. You’re not the only Ashengrotto who was a dorm leader you know~”

Azul glared up at his cousin, but any rebukes he had in mind were put on hold as he was lifted into the air. “Now now, let’s not get hasty! I’ve made a wonderful breakfast for my new housemates and you, you better dig in before it’s gone!”

Azul was plopped down one seat over from Marlowe, Meglapus between them.

“Did you know they were coming before hand?” Marlowe whispered, slipping a bite of pancake to the pets wolfing down their own breakfast. “Is that why you made so much?” Meglapus shot them a wink and smile, sticking out his tongue for a brief moment, before returning to trying to feed Azul more food.

“You’re so skinny! You need more meat on your bones, think of what auntie and Mama would say!” Azul did his best to avoid the fork that kept trying to feed him, some times having his words interrupted by it suddenly being shoved into his mouth.

After all the food was eaten, bellies filled to the brim, they students, pets, and teacher decided to chat and enjoy each other’s company for the remainder of the morning.

Since there was few seating, Marlowe ended up in their new teacher’s lap. Azul fumed at the sight while the twins snickered at ramshackle perfect’s very red face.

“It’s quite alright, dear angelfish, there’s no need to sit so stiffly~” Meglapus purred, propping his arm up on the arm of the chair. Resting his head on his knuckles, he wrapped his other arm around their waist.

“You can lean on me, don’t be shy. We’ve got plenty of time to get know each, so let’s not waste a single moment m, hm?~”

Marlowe opened the door with a yawn, rubbing sleep from their eyes. Minestrone was next to them, interested to see who was knocking so early on a Saturday morning. Grim groaned from his perch on their shoulder.

“Hello, my dears!” a tone that was almost sultry greeted the three. Now the first years were very awake.

A man knelt before them. He took their hand, creasing it once before placing a kiss atop it.

“I must apologize for awakening you on your day off, but I didn’t want to enter unannounced!” the man towered over the three as he straightened up. His height was taller than the majority of the students.

Adjusting his monocle he explained the situation.

“I am Meglapus Ashengrotto, recently hired to be staff here at Night Raven College. I will be on campus staff, and Headmaster Crowley has determined that I shall be taking up residence in the Ramshackle dorm.”

The trio’s new dorm mate grinned down at them with teeth that put a certain pair of eels to shame, putting his hands behind his back.

“I hope we can get along, little ones.”

Angel lives Marlowe cuz they will sing with her and “protects them” from the tweels and Rook.

Lady is likes mind Marlowe but won’t stop her daddy from trying to… learn more about them.

Guppy like Marlowe cuz her big sisters do and her daddy and uncle. Azul is irrelevant to whether she likes someone or not oof

YES YES THEY ALL LIKE MARLOWE!!! If they didn’t I would completely rewrite Marlowe’s personality so they would like them. I love the little pets they have to love me back (lol)

Marlowe actually dislikes most pets because of reasons, but these ones are nice and they probably don’t have rabies (which is their main concern). Angel is so sweet has the cutest singing voice and when she’s there Azul is just the slightest bit more bearable <3 Lady and Guppy are also adorable but they don’t do much to stop their papas from pestering them </3

They don't know each other that well, but Marlowe thinks he seems nice!

All the times they've interacted were with Kalim there, so Marlowe hasn't actually had a chance to talk to him one-on-one

The first time they met, he fell asleep mid-conversation

Like they were just talking in the courtyard and he suddenly passed out

At first, Marlowe thought he fainted due to exhaustion, or dehydration, or something like that because he and Kalim had just come from PE. They were very ready to go check on him before Kalim explained

They still wanted to see if he got a concussion or anything from his fall. Silver appreciated the concern

They've definitely tried to help with his sleeping problem, but failed

Marlowe wants to know who this “old man” he talks about is, but doesn’t push because that’d be hypocritical of them. He’ll reveal who it is when he wants to, and if he doesn’t, that’s fine too

Marlowe loves that he doesn't ask too many questions! Even when he does, they’re not too personal, and Marlowe can usually steer the conversation away with ease

They also love his loyalty. Sebek is too loud and intense in his passion, but Silver is Just The Right Amount of dedicated to Malleus, and Marlowe greatly appreciates those who are loyal

One thing Marlowe does not like is his frequent interactions with woodland creatures (“Do you know what sicknesses you could get just from interacting with them?” “These are my friends, they’re not sick.” “How do you know that?!”)

They hate his guts. So much.

Their first proper interaction took place after the Prologue and before Chapter 1. Azul invited them to the Mostro Lounge “just to talk,” he said. He offered up his services, with his usual “If you ever require assistance, I am always here to provide!” bullshit

Azul being Azul found out about their little problem, and with Marlowe having little to no knowledge on this new world, he was looking to exploit that and somehow have them indebted to him

“So, you say you can do anything?” “For the right price, of course!” “Can you find me a way back home?”

Obviously, pretty impossible, even for him

Marlowe didn’t let up. “There are people who need my help. I can’t just leave them,” they said

Worst mistake of their life

That word choice...piqued Azul’s interest. It was deliberately vague. “People who need my help.” Not family, not friends, just people. Were they someone important back in their world? If so, he could probably use whatever skills they had to his advantage

(Obviously, that one statement wasn’t sufficient evidence for such a claim, but there’s nothing a little poking around can’t prove)

And thus began his constantly barraging them with questions, and the exact moment when Marlowe started to find him annoying

This was also the moment Marlowe vowed to never set foot in the Mostro Lounge ever again

If there’s one thing Marlowe admires about Azul, it’s his way with words

He’s a smooth talker. Multiple times, Marlowe has accidentally divulged information to him that they shouldn’t have. They wish they could have that same charisma

They’ve learned that the best way to not fall for his traps is to not listen to him at all

TL;DR: Azul could say anything and Marlowe’s immediate response would be “please shut up.”

Marlowe & Ace ♥️

Best Friend / Headache #1

Their first meeting was not the best (yes, it’s the same as our canon first meeting with Ace)

Marlowe felt very offended that he would even think of saying stuff like that to their face. “Ignorant”? “Go back to kindergarten”? They don’t like being looked down on, especially when it comes to things like intellect

...Okay, maybe those insults were directed primarily at Grim, but Marlowe felt hurt too!

They’ve had to deal with a great number of terrible personalities in the past, and so, they were able to keep their cool. Grim, however...well, you know how it goes

After a while though, his asshole-ness simply turned into annoying-ness, and Marlowe was able to just brush it off as Typical Ace Behavior

When Ace isn’t being a dick, they get along great! Marlowe’s pretty playful, and a bit of a trickster as well, so the two like to play harmless pranks on the other first years from time to time

And by other first years I mean mostly Deuce. Marlowe apologizes afterwards. Ace does not

Ace likes to tease Marlowe about how badly they’re adjusting to NRC school life (and also their abysmal history and PE grades) but it’s okay because they tease him back about how they’re better at alchemy than him

Hanging out with a guy like Ace who just screams Typical Teenage Boy feels really refreshing to Marlowe

Ace asks a lot of questions, partially because he’s genuinely curious about where Marlowe’s from, but mostly because they told him not to and he knows it annoys them. Marlowe knows he’s doing it to be annoying, so it’s more bearable

Marlowe admires Ace’s bravery (though some might call it recklessness). It was during chapter one, when he stood up to Riddle, that they really felt that “oh, this guy is really cool” feeling. Ace’s willingness to stand up for what he believes in inspires Marlowe to do the same

Best Friend / Headache #2

Their first meeting was also the same as the one in-game

After Deuce summoned the cauldron and dropped it on Ace’s head, Marlowe actually screamed “WHAT THE FUCK” out loud. They don’t swear often, which goes to show how shocked they were

They gave him a very stern lecture about how dangerous that was, how he could have shattered Ace’s skull, how other people could have been injured as well...Deuce felt like he was being scolded by his mother

Don’t even get them started on the heart attack they had when Deuce flung Ace onto the chandelier

After getting to know him a bit better, Marlowe starts liking him a lot more

They adore his decision to leave his delinquent past behind! Marlowe greatly values learning and education, so they’re willing to support him every step of the way

Study buddies!

Their study sessions often turn into tutoring sessions, though, with Marlowe having to explain the lesson to him, but they don’t mind. They’re very patient, and also good at simplifying terms without taking away from their meaning, so Deuce learns pretty quickly with them

They feel a small sense of pride whenever he comes to them showing off his test scores (still low, but certainly an improvement)

The headache part mostly comes from when his Bad Boy Mode activates

Marlowe doesn’t like violence. They recognize that progress isn’t linear, and of course Deuce is going to...go back to the way he was at times, but they urge him to keep his calm and remember that “violence is never the solution”

Ohh, Marlowe was so disappointed when they found out he, Ace, and Grim went to Azul in chapter three. They didn’t even need to scold the three of them, their eyes said it all

Deuce felt the guiltiest, since Marlowe was always the one telling him not to cut corners. He felt extra guilty knowing how much Marlowe hated Azul. They take so much time out of their schedule to help him study, and he goes and asks for help from the one they hate most...!

What Marlowe loves most about Deuce is his willingness to learn and change. He was able to realize that his past actions were hurting his mother, and grew as a person because of it. He’s still growing, and learning to be someone his mother can be proud of, which is something Marlowe greatly respects and admires

They’re actually pretty close!

They’re in the same club, so they interact quite frequently

Vil originally wanted them to try acting in one of the films he was in the process of making. He handed them the script, gave them some props, and the cameras started rolling

Marlowe’s attempts at acting were not good. The delivery of the lines was stilted, their movements stiff. Multiple times they had accidentally dropped the props. They had no clue why they did so terribly, they’re usually good at this kind of stuff. Maybe it was because there were cameras on them?

Vil eventually moved them to the costume department, just so they could contribute even a little bit

Marlowe’s very interested in magical pharmaceuticals. They love learning about how magic intertwines with medicine, and Vil is more than happy to teach them

Vil often scolds Marlowe for not following the skincare routine he’s provided for them, but Marlowe’s not used to such fancy products and strict routines...they really can’t keep up, no matter how hard they try

There’s a lot he nags them for, actually. Their fashion sense (he’s the one who styled their uniform), their diet (it’s not their fault Crowley doesn’t give them enough money for good food), and their sleeping habits (they’re not used to sleeping early, or sleeping a lot) just to name a few

Marlowe likes a lot of things about Vil. He’s hardworking and confident, but most importantly, he helps the people around him

Vil pushes people to work hard so they can reach their full potential and go from a dirty potato to a shining red apple. He isn’t just concerned with his own self-improvement, but the growth and development of others as well. Even if others don’t put in the effort, he still keeps pushing because he never gives up

Marlowe originally thought he’d be a selfish, crab-mentality kind of person, so finding out that he actually wants to see others around him prosper was a surprise, but a welcomed one nonetheless

What they dislike is his method of doing so. Marlowe is very much a kind, gentle person who believes real change shouldn’t come from brute force. They always feel a little annoyed when he acts so harsh towards others

Marlowe & Grim 🐱

Marlowe called him a “disease-ridden raccoon” when they first saw him, which Grim did not take kindly to

Imagine the Prologue, but all the player choices have an “insult Grim” option

When they found out that they would have to be two halves of one student in order to attend NRC, Marlowe groaned internally. They did not like the little troublemaking furball one bit

All he did was bring misfortune! Their first NRC experience could have gone a lot smoother if he hadn’t caused so much trouble! Disturbing the entrance ceremony, burning an important statue, the chandelier fiasco...randomly waking up in a new world was stressful enough, all that just made things even worse

Honestly, their first few weeks together were terrible. It was all bickering, arguing, snide comments...the ghosts in Ramshackle seriously considered relocating

As time went on, however, the two slowly grew on each other

Marlowe is Grim’s henchman! They buy him food, help him study, and scratch that one part behind his ears to help him fall asleep (which he totally doesn’t like, absolutely not)

Grim is Marlowe’s familiar! He protects them from danger, helps clean around the dorm (if bribed with enough tuna), and looks so cute when he’s sprawled out snoring on the makeshift cat bed they made him

Eventually the arguments turned into playful banter. Marlowe would nag him for not doing his homework, Grim would complain about it, then Marlowe would nag him for complaining, so on so forth

What Marlowe appreciates most about Grim is...his company. He was the first one they met in this strange new world. They both have no place to call home, no family to call their own. All they have is each other, so Marlowe’s really thankful for his company, even if he can be a little annoying at times

Marlowe would never admit it, but they’ve grown so attached to the little monster. They can’t imagine life in Twisted Wonderland without him...but don’t tell him they think that! He’ll never shut up about it!
