APPEARANCE: Anthropomorphic remanence of very old mavka. The entirety of the body is made out of flesh, bones, veins and blood of fallen people and animals surrounding the territory of old Sich. In the chest cavity, a bunch of viburnum flowers grow all the time (they never fade away due to their core - the heart of Kalyna). The chest cavity also is partially protected by additional hands. Often is seen with 3 to 6 poterchata (children's spirits).

PERSONALITY: Protective, sisterly and melancholic, this being is made out of loss and unfulfilled potential. The mostly docile creature spends most of her time underground sleeping.

LIL BIO: At life her name was Kalyna. The story of her death goes as follows in most legends. The girl Kalyna was picking berries in the forest and suddenly saw that the enemies - the Tatars, were coming to the village. She ran to the village and warned her fellow villagers. While villagers all ran to secret underground hiding tunnels, Kalyna distracted the enemies. She led them to the swamp where, after learning about her plan, they killed her. But they still couldn't get out of the swamp, they were in too deep. The girl's blood fell on the nearby bushes and turned into berries with heart-like grains, which were later called viburnum.

After passing, Maroon had 200 years of hibernation. After awakening she rarely appears in people's view, her presence is felt by the smell of fresh blood. She still mourns the loss of her humanity.
