Since I talked about reprehensibly stupid youtubers recently it reminded me of one that's absolutely fine but also said a couple really dumb things. If I recall correctly the one person doing the book vs movie and other adaptation reviews on the yootoob talked shit about Edmund for selling out his siblings for turkish delights. I mean that in itself is harsh considering as a British kid during the Blitz you probably had to sweeten your morning coffee by boiling it in a lead pot, but on top of that he called turkish delights gross ? ..? ...has he never had turkish delights ? Either he's got a very specific distaste for them or he's never read up on what they are, anyway it's fucking weird. And actually I lied I wasn't reminded of that because of that other youtuber prick, I was reminded of it because I got a box of marron glacés on the discount rack from l'artisan provençal (good brand) and I was just wondering what this guy would find gross about those.

F7 eating habits headcanons!

So after seeing this wall of text, a friend of mine asked if i could make one for their eating habits, and who am i to say no U_U

I humbly apologize for the fact that this one won't be as long as the previous one, there aren't that many eating habits headcanons to get ideas from so about half of this will probably just be what i think some of their favorite foods would be- 😭

Anyways, here we go

Merlin

- i feel like he'd be a picky eater, but maybe not the most picky eater out of the group - he'd be the type of guy to divide the food on his plate in "food i like more" and "food i like less" and eat the former for last - it'd be pretty funny if he couldn't handle spicy food like at all - i actually don't know what his favorite food could be- - we've seen he likes carrots in the movie but that isn't really a dish i don't think- - carrots are probably one of his favorite vegetables tho - i feel like he'd have a preference for savory foods (not spicy however, just salty) - probably doesn't ask for seconds very often, but he's done it a few times in the past - always leaves some amount of food on his plate (usually not that much however)

Jack

- SO picky - refuses to eat bird meat - saves his favorite food for last - has called food bad just because of how it looks at least once - "I don't have a sweet tooth, don't be ridiculous" he says, eating his fifth marron glacé of the day - i honestly don't know what his favorite food would be, something fish based maybe- - eats rather quickly, but not like "scarfs his food down" type of quickly, does that make sense- - hates beans - apples are his favorite fruit (yes, even after all that happened with Regina; he avoids eating them in front of Merlin and Snow for a while after the movie's events) - barely ever asks for seconds, you REALLY need to make something amazing for him to ask for seconds

Arthur

- the least picky eater on the planet - scarfs his food down, but he doesn't do it too often and even then he doesn't look like a wild animal when eating - you'll be hard pressed to find a food he doesn't like - probably always asks for seconds - has probably asked for thirds a few times - the group trash bin (aka all the food that everyone else leaves he'll gladly eat) - i don't think he's the type of person to not finish all of his food, the few times it's happened he was probably really tired and fell asleep before he could finish everything - his favorite food would probably have meat and vegetables in it, me thinks - i don't think he'd eat vegetables unless paired with something else, like fish or meat

Hans

- not picky in the slightest - tries the food before calling it bad - always eats less compared to everyone else (because of... reasons..) - probably doesn't have a favorite food, likes most things he eats honestly - takes his time to savor everything, but doesn't take forever to finish his food - always finishes his food - has a slight preference for sweet food, but only slightly - only ever asks for seconds if he's not the one cooking, and even then he doesn't ask that often

Pino, Noki and Kio

- don't ask them their favorite food, it changes every month - not super picky, but sometimes it is hard to find something they like - favorite vegetables are carrots (onions are close seconds) - usually eat everything that's on their plate (or at least they try) - super fast eaters, they can be done eating in 5 minutes if they want to - don't really have a preference for sweet or savory foods, both are equally good in their eyes - usually ask for seconds - have a bad habit of eating so fast that while they're done eating everyone is still halfway done so they either leave the table or they remain seated and talk a bit, either to each other or with whoever wants to - they really don't like it when fruit or vegetables are really ripe, they don't like how squishy they get

His weapon has magical abilities: it can control and create Ice

Despite being cold and standoffish he has a good sense of humor and likes things that could be considered childish

He was a part of a religious organization/cult that manipulated him for decades into slaughtering all types of magical and mythical entities (which is ironic considering he is a magical creature himself, however far removed)

Marni

Marin is known as ‘Marron’ in the Japanese version. I can understand the reason for the localisation change, ‘Marni’ is a much more recognisable name in the West, unfortunately it affects the intended meaning of her name. Marron is French for chestnut, specifically products made from chestnuts such as: crème de marrons (chestnut cream), marrons confits (candied chestnuts) and marrons glacés (glazed chestnuts). In Japan, the chestnut is associated with autumn. Around the world, chestnuts have been a staple part of people's diets from thousands of years, Due to the plentiful supply they have come to symbolise abundance and longevity. Longevity is not something Marni benefits from, she dies young at the hands of Zephia. The memory of her sacrifice to try and save Lady Veyle does have longevity, Veyle will remember her for the rest of her long existence. 

In medieval Europe candied chestnuts were given as gifts by royalty. They were considered a valuable gift to receive. In the Bible, the chestnut was one of 13 foods offered to Baby Jesus, symbolises chastity (immaculate conception of Jesus), virtue and honesty. In Greek mythology children were believed to be found inside old chestnut trees. Artemis, the goddess of children, young animals, the hunt and the forest, turned herself into a chestnut tree to escape Zeus's lust, just like in Christianity, the chestnut is associated with chastity.

Marni is the romanticised image of a Victorian child of upper class status, her apple cheeks, her abundance of bow's and her corkscrew curls are designed to give her a vulnerable sweetness. John Everett Millais painted children with this kind of innocent and sweet appearance. She is dressed like a child and a  porcelain doll. In the Victorian era, a ‘porcelain complexion ‘ was considered the ideal standard of beauty. Dolls would be adorned with an armada of accessories to protect them from the sun, just like what a lady would wear to keep her skin from tanning. A doll prepared children for adulthood. Marni has her bonnet, gloves and her shield. 

Marni represents the fragility of a porcelain doll. Delicate porcelain dolls were given to children as a declaration of wealth. To avoid such a fragile toy was a symbol of wealth but so was the statement that the parents could afford to endlessly repair or replace the doll. Marni is the doll who can be replaced if she is damaged. She is also the plaything of Zephia and Sombron, who can manipulate her with praise to do what they want. 

On her head is an elaborately decorated fanchon with frills, bows and pleats. Her dress is an armoured and fabric variant of a ruffle dress, once again decorated with feminine designs such as bows and hearts. Her leg armour and sabatons mirror the rest of her design. Pink is used as it is the colour associated with little girls.

Since @laindir mentioned something about Ratatouille!Dezel I decided to look up Gameplay Numbers for Snack Preparation.

First five rows are for failures. Not including those failures, there are 35 snacks that can be prepared. Numbers indicate the probabilities out of 100, so they are in percent essentially.

In terms of failure rate, Dezel cannot fail at all (0%), while Edna is most likely to fail (33%). The rank for failure rate is Edna (33%) > Alisha (17%) > Sorey (16%) = Rose (16%) > Mikleo (10%) > Zaveid (4%) > Lailah (3%) > Dezel (0%).

Not counting the failure stuff, Mikleo can make everything, while Edna can make the least (she can only make 14 snacks). The rank goes like Mikleo (35) > Dezel (32) > Lailah (31) > Zaveid (29) > Sorey (27) = Alisha (27) = Rose (27) > Edna (14).

Sorey and Rose might seem like they share similar stats here, but I think Rose might slightly be better at this since she has the highest chance (7%) of making the best snack in the game, Marron Glacé. Out of the humans (who all seem to be bad at this), Rose actually might be the best cook, despite trying to do so with abacus.

If we look at their specialties (by seeing which snacks have the highest possibility for each character)...

Sorey: Pear Compote (10%)

Alisha: Strawberry Waffle (12%)

Rose: Baumkuchen (10%)

Mikleo: Fruit Frappé (7%), Raspberry Mousse (7%)

Lailah: Strawberry Shortcake (10%)

Edna: Chocolate Rusk (12%), Palmier (12%)

Dezel: Baumkuchen (8%)

Zaveid: Grape Mille-Feuille (10%)

As seen from Sorey, specialty doesn't necessarily indicate favorite food. Here are some interesting tidbits:

Sorey can make his favorite, Soft-Serve Ice Cream, but out of the ones he can make, it has the lowest chance of happening (1%). I suppose that's because his favorite has to be specifically made by Mikleo (Perfect Guide's words, not mine), which has a 5% chance of happening, just below his specialties and Ice Pop. It's just when push comes to shove, like when Mikleo suddenly can't make it for him, he will make Soft-Serve Ice Cream himself... while crying.

Dezel and Rose share the same specialty. Makes you think.

Also, there's a skit where it's said that the way Dezel bakes Madeleines is similar to how Rose does it. The chances for Madeleines are 4% for Dezel and 2% for Rose.

You can definitely see from what they can make and their specialties that the seraphim's elements definitely have something to do with the snack preparation here, as mentioned in a skit.

je suis tellement habituée à écrire à r. le soir au lit que ça me fait bizarre quand je me couche sans mon téléphone. ça fait une semaine que je dois répondre à n. pour notre éventuelle coloc à berlin, une semaine que j'ai une amie à BERLIN qui attend que je lui réponde pour qu'on se mette à chercher un appart ensemble et je lui ai toujours pas répondu. je sais pas si c'est parce que je suis terrifiée par l'aspect concret de la chose ou si c'est parce qu'au fond je préfèrerais aller vivre à bruxelles. j'ai rejoint un groupe fb de locations et de colocs et c'est l'enfer mais c'est là que mon coeur m'appelle. et c'est pas à cause de r. mais il me donne envie de me réveiller pouvoir être sur un pied d'égalité avec lui. même si lui non plus n'a pas de job alimentaire, mais au moins il vit pas chez sa mère. oh ça rime. j'ai envie de lui raconter toute ma vie, enfin La Situation et tout ça, parce que hier quand je lui ai dit que j'étais cassée parce que j'arrivais plus à écrire il m'a hurlé une version hystérique de cassé de nolwenn leroy qui m'a fait mourir de rire et puis il m'a rassurée il m'a donné des conseils et il m'a demandé à quel point j'étais angoissée etc et QUI dans ma vie prend soin de moi comme ça?

hier je discutais avec ru. et je lui ai raconté mes projets avec r. et elle disait que j'avais toutes mes chances de faire évoluer la situation avec tout le temps qu'on allait passer ensemble à travailler, so many chances! j'avais l'impression qu'elle jouait le rôle de mon enabler alors que j'essaie de me sortir de mon addiction. non ru.! non! j'ai du contrôler très fort mes illusions lundi soir aussi quand c. t. la dramaturge m'a écrit pour me demander ce que je faisais en ce moment et si j'avais un full time job, sans préciser pourquoi elle me demandait ça. pourquoi tout le monde a décidé de me mettre à l'épreuve comme ça? comment je suis sensée ne pas m'imaginer qu'elle veut travailler avec moi? elle m'a toujours pas répondu et le suspense me tue. mais peut être qu'elle me répondra jamais et qu'elle cherchait juste des témoignages de loseuses de la vie qui travaillent pas pour une pièce de théâtre documentaire ou je sais pas quoi, comment savoir?

j'ai envoyé mon poème à la revue affixe ce soir à minuit 24 heures avant la deadline, même s'il est pas publié c'est pas très grave parce que ça m'a fait du bien de me remettre sérieusement à la poésie, ça change de mes jérémiades du journal, même si j'y raconte à peu près la même chose. il s'appelle marrons glacés et c'est archi cryptique mais tout ce que j'y dis c'est que je fais rien de ma vie je veux pas travailler je suis coincée je suis bisexuelle je suis amoureuse je suis en feu je me masturbe. y a pas vraiment de fin. en écrivant "trois perles ambrées me coulent entre les cuisses" ça m'a excitée et je me suis masturbée sur mon lit avec mon poème à côté de moi. voilà à quoi me sert la poésie. ma nouvelle façon préférée de dire que je suis bi: délicat délicate - les deux me vont. ma nouvelle façon préférée de dire que je veux qu'on me fasse l'amour: déglacez-moi comme un marron.

4 septembre

premier jour de mer je me suis réveillée avec mon oeil plus gonflé que jamais après une nuit de bave et de larmes et de sinus qui pousse, je me suis levée et j'ai mis un sweat noir par dessus ma chemise de nuit ancestrale en coton épais, relevé mes cheveux en chignon avec une pince et mis mes lunettes de soleil pour aller déjeuner chez c. et quand je suis arrivée sur la terrasse elles ont dit quelle élégance! on dirait audrey hepburn! et c'était pas vrai mais j'étais contente de mon exploit d'être passée de monstrueuse à audrey hepburn.

je reste éloignée d'internet et de mon téléphone sauf pour écrire à r., cet après-midi j'ai écrit plein de petits poèmes avec tous les mots que j'ai notés dans mon carnet en écoutant france inter dans la voiture hier (pas de temps morts dans les transports) et après deux heures et demi d'écriture je suis partie à la plage me baigner dans les vagues, ce que je peux pas faire à la maison. j'ai marché pendant un moment avec l'eau à mi-cuisses pour drainer ma cellulite comme si je venais de lire un article de elle qui me dit comment optimiser mes vacances à la plage pour avoir un hot bod. j'en peux plus de mes grosses cuisses boursouflées et de ma petite taille qui contraste avec mes hanches larges et de mes seins qui pendent et qui menacent à chaque instant de s'échapper de mon maillot. tellement plus que ce matin à la caisse de hyper u quand j'ai voulu rejoindre maman dans la file et qu'un chariot me bloquait le passage et qu'un vieux m'a dit vous êtes mince mais là vous ne passerez pas! j'étais contente parce qu'il a jugé que j'étais mince. voilà.

en sortant de l'eau j'ai lu le livre de léa rivière qui parlait de la rivière justement, comment elle devenait la rivière quand elle était dedans, qu'elle apprenait de la rivière en lui faisant confiance, en immergeant son corps, en étant-avec elle (donna h.), en écoutant comme elle, dans son vacarme, c'était la lecture parfaite de post baignade dans la mer. elle dit plein de choses que je dis dans mon scénario. j'ai fait une pause dans ma lecture pour y réfléchir. est-ce qu'on dit les mêmes choses parce qu'on a lu les mêmes livres ou parce qu'on ressent vraiment les mêmes choses quand on est dans l'eau/dans la nature en général? j'ai lu jusqu'à sept heures et je suis rentrée je me suis douchée et j'ai mangé du pain avec du fromage toute seule avec un soupir de satisfaction.
