Not all carnivores need to be good hunters. The Tasmanian devil can take on small prey, but it mostly uses its massive skull and incredibly powerful jaw to eat up to 40% of its own body weight every day in carrion. They're not picky about it either! They eat everything including bones, guts, and fur. ©Taronga Zoo

For some reason I came across the lower jaw bone of some vertebrate. This was later identified as a Northern Brown Bandicoot jaw bone.

Alphadon

to be honest it is so funny that there is an animal literally called The Devil because all it does is scream loud as fuck and stink and eat carrion and roadkill and can take down kangaroos and bite through metal traps and steal shoes from human settlements just to chew on them and the guys who "discovered" them thought they were actual demons from hell From the bible. and they just look like this

Brushtail possums caught as part of the Woppa survey assessment. Both female, the first specimen looked like it had spent about a year on its own. The second specimen was much older.
