"why do you keep shipping lokius, it's obviously queerbait and marvel would never do it, so stop wasting your time-"
see the best part of their dynamic is that it doesn't rely on it being romantic! they're character foils, their stories and backgrounds and traits mirror one another's, and they balance each other out. whether platonically or romantically, they need each other. ship them or not, you literally can't deny it. it's not even subtext, it's their canon dynamic.
and tbh who cares if it's canon or not? i get that it would be amazing if the mcu ever did it, and that queerbaiting is bad. but as a fanbase, we don't need to rely on them for material. so much talented artists and writers love it! fandom has never needed permission before, so we don't need to wait on it now.
tldr: let shippers be hopeful and enjoy something! let them read into interactions and throw away lines bc it's fun! don't be mean, thank you

Ok I saw this reblog about how Irondad doesn’t work because “Peter ‘eat the rich’ Parker” would never, and yes! I agree, /that/ comic canon Peter Parker wouldn’t vibe with it.
Tumblr media
However, we’ve gotta acknowledge that the Marvel Universe has become an endless stream of fanfiction— and no, I’m not talking about AO3.
Tumblr media
You have MCU Peter - which is who all the irondadders are referencing. He’s a teenager. Yes, I agree the dynamic is more hardheaded than not, but he’s looked up to Tony his whole life. Tony saved him from being blasted at an expo. Theres some hero worship going on there fs, but he’s his own person too whos gotta figure himself out.
Tumblr media
You have Spiderverse Peter. Specifically Peter B. Parker. He has a baby now :) He has probably never met/heard of ironman and wouldn’t get along with him. They’re both too far on the stubborn asshole radar imo.
Tumblr media
You have Tobey!Peter and Andrew!Peter - both of which have no idea what an Avenger is, nor do I think being apart of a team would float their boat. Maybe Andrew!Peter, but I’m positive the dynamic would be different.
Tumblr media
LETS NOT FORGET BILLIONAIRE PETER PARKER FROM THE SPIDEYPOOL SERIES. The guy IS the rich. Honestly, as much as I love that series and the Spider-Man Deadpool dynamic, not my fave take on Peter.
Edit: it has come to my attention that this Spider-Man is same universe as Superior Spider-Man (who wasn’t mentioned purposefully) Which makes a lot more since IMO.
multiverse multiverse multiverse
Tumblr media
Then theres comics where Peter asks Tony for rich people favors— like borrowing his private space pod thing to get away from the world for a hot minute with Mary Jane??
Edit: yes, he’s terminally ill and he deserves a break— but going to space in multimillion dollar tech is different than a beach weekend and you and I could not afford that !!😭
Tumblr media
Theres just /so/ much content
- Superior Spider-Man
- The Darkhold one shot
- the original TASM comics
- the infinity comic series
Tumblr media
And theres like a shit ton more that I’m just not gonna mention.
My point — there are so many variations of this character that saying “never” about certain dynamics fails to acknowledge the version of Peter Parker people were introduced to. Personally, I read stories and comics from a ton of different angles, but if you don’t, thats alright.
Your Peter Parker is yours <3

Tony knows that Peter's self-care is in the negative values.
Peter will barge into the lab with his bag slung over one shoulder and nearly dent the wall in his recklessness, and Tony can practically smell the sleep deprivation on him. He'll laugh it off, chide Peter a bit on watching his strength, but he sees it.
Happy will message him sometimes, something small like "kid's tired today" or "off day" (he appreciates it, despite his short one-word responses) and Tony sees it.
And, at the end of the week, Tony can only take so many drool stains on his desk.
The first time he tried to say it outright, Peter simply didn't receive it. It took two separate confrontations and a flu that Peter vehemently denied until his condition had every germ in the immediate vicinity feeling self-conscious for Tony to realize that his methods weren't working. He sat Peter down on the couch with an episode of Glee playing and came up with a damn plan.
He was going to fix this. If Peter noticed the suspicious timing of Tony's back pains or impromptu meetings that he had to wait in the lounge for, he didn't mention it. Tony had bullshit on hand wherever he went, quick-witted excuses on the tip of his tongue and Pepper on speed dial. I mean, come on, Tony was pretty damn quick — but not when it came to fake business calls. He spent too many meetings carefully mastering the art of Not Caring (read: having his head up his ass) to know how to navigate any meaningful business conversation. Pepper could lead.
So, eventually, every break that the two took became Tony's fault. Peter didn't have to feel guilty for interrupting Tony's work because of his own poor time management, and Tony didn't have to watch Peter drive himself deep into the hole that Tony was still trying to pull himself out of. Peter started joking again. Tony started to trust the kid enough to look away.
Long work nights turn into early ones with Tony's fingers hesitantly running through Peter's hair, the boy's face smashed unceremoniously into Tony's side. Tony rests easiest when he's doing it for someone else. These nights are slept through.

on the topic of war crime tribunals/transitional justice in the Kree-Skrull Alliance, Scarlet Witch #6 brings up info on a genocide that's "for ruling eyes" only—the resolution of that story is pretty much something you'd expect from a superhero comic book (which is the type of story they set out to tell so it's like. within genre conventions even though I think it's questionable, though it's framed as adequate and effective access to justice and reparation*) but like. imagine if Teddy pushed for information transparency after seeing how much of his people's history is being hidden from them, or if it delved into a legal battle with the perpetrators of genocide instead of physical combat.
It's mentioned that the Skrulls hid this information because they wanted the Blood Skrulls "out of sight, out of mind"; they wanted to divorce their identities from the Blood Skrulls' (which is understandable if imo not the right way to handle it), and imo also because the genocide of other species isn't 'important' enough to be acknowledged. So if Teddy, the Great Uniter and King of Space, pushed for some kind of public acknowledgement of war crimes/crimes against humanity** committed by the two empires he'd inherited, what would the public reaction be? Whose feathers would be ruffled? Who would be supportive because it's the right thing to do, and who'd be supportive because of some other vested interest?
(also, irl there are international laws for crimes against humanity; would be interesting to see an intergalactic version of that, and the drafting of stricter protocols/policy research/establishing agencies and organizations that deal with investigating large-scale genocide and oppression etc... along with the political squabbles about jurisdictions and sovereignty that you see irl at UN and other international organizations)
Also, it seems like the only people in Teddy's court are him, Billy (Court Mage and Prince Consort), Lauri-ell (The Accuser/bodyguard) and Mur-G'nn (???), which seems a bit wack. You can't run a vast empire with so few people, and even if Teddy is mostly concerned with the affairs of Throneworld it's still really weird that there aren't more recurring characters at the Kree-Skrull court... I totally understand why K'lrt isn't serving the inner court—Teddy shouldn't have to see his mother's murderer day in and day out—but like. can we get a few more ministers on the roster????? I wish there's more opportunities to just see what a typical day on Throneworld is like, y'know? I'd kill for a miniseries that features normal citizens of the Kree/Skrull Alliance just living their life and doing their work, and the royal couple's adventures are only alluded to in the background.
(somewhat related, but i'm actually kind of ??? at Teddy being so okay with the fact that it's an empire that he's in charge of; I wish we got more of his thoughts on what he thinks about the natures of empires and monarchies in general, and his thoughts on institutional reforms etc. Struggles about what kind of king he wants to be has been brought up before, and his showdown with his grandma re:the nature of a successful ruler was pretty badass in Empyre... but being king means you have to approve or veto laws and policies, having to deal with paperwork and weighing advice from people who may or may not have the empire's best interest at heart etc etc. It means confronting the concept of absolute power in the hands of a ruling class determined by birth. It's a bit of a shame that they want the empire to be a thing in the worldbuilding, but don't really invest in developing the empire into a viable setting that feels real/lived in)
*tbf since we don't know the domestic laws of the Kree-Skrull Alliance or any intergalactic law regarding genocide/gross violations of the rights of sapient & sentient life, massacring the people responsible may be perfectly legal in the setting (and thus doesn't violate UN guidelines to the right of reparation, which I used as a baseline). It sucks that there wasn't a formal trial establishing the guilt of the responsible parties, though their guilt was informally established/treated as truth due to the nature of the classified info—the situation feels like executing someone without a formal trial, with all the evidence coming from a classified CIA record lmao (and this doesn't get into the issue of possible innocent blood skrulls—are all of them really guilty/responsible for genociding the monastic order in question? Whoooooo knoooooows!)

I have to ask what happened to Atleza, did she get retconned out of existence or was there a comic I missed. It seems like a wasted opportunity for Adam and Gamora.
The answer is neither! As far as we're aware, she does still technically exist; she just hasn't been so much as referenced since Thanos (2003) & Marvel: The End.
What we do know is this: before the Annihilation Wave hit, Gamora, Adam & Atleza were all happy together outside of reality (see: Thanos (2003) for this).
Then sometime right before Annihilation hits, something bad happens. "It was said that [Gamora] had been humbled by the great powers of the universe, abused... and discarded" (Annihilation: Ronan) implies that, at least from Gamora's side of things, it wasn't an overly willing choice to leave.
Adam's described as being "driven insane by the psychic agony of the souls destroyed in [Annihilation]" in Thanos Imperative: Ignition. This is also where you can see him in the same style costume he's wearing in Thanos (2003).
Adam appears in Thanos (2003) #6 where he says he's going to Gamora & Atleza. This issue comes out in Febuary of 2004. Important because in She-Hulk (2004) #7-8, Gamora & Adam appear! Together! Atleza is never even alluded to! This issue came out in September of 2004.
That whole story ends with Adam, Gamora & Pip agreeing that they'll handle who is going to rule the planet & Adam says it's going to "take a while".
Going off Gamora's mental state, I'd say this takes place before her "humbling".
From alll of this, we can assume that sometime between Adam's appearance in She-Hulk (2007) #8 and just before Annihilation: Prologue (because Gamora's already set up shop by the time the wave fully starts), that they are both pulled away from Atleza.
Adam I think is the easiest to explain; he got some prior warning of the Annihilation Wave, got dragged back, went insane before he could help out. I would say that he got dragged out when Xandar hit it, like he felt all those souls die, but Gamora had already left by then and I don't imagine Adam sitting on his ass while she's leading a cult.
Gamora's... not so easy to explain. She didn't know the Wave was coming, so she can't have left to stop it. She isn't looking for Adam... She's leading the Graces & being a little evil but it's fine she's hot enough to pull it off.
They both get to reunite at the end of Annihilation: Conquest & then they join the Guardians, have several one-on-one interactions & neither mentions the daughter that they are raising.
It's all really fucking weird, I'm not gonna lie. Events from Thanos (2003) get full on referenced later in cosmic Marvel (keeping in mind -- that's the series that reintroduced Peter Quill) so it's odd that there's a whole lot of nothing about Atleza, when it's clear from the first arc that she exists & is important to both Gamora & Adam.
But. There's a very very specific reason I've been mentioning the dates & IMO I think this is why Atleza vanished: Marvel kind of hated superhero kids in this era. Atleza's erasure happens around the same time as OMD, etc, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some editorial meddling going on there. Marvel's real shit at letting characters make big life progressions & objectively, Gamora & Adam having a daughter together is a major progression.
I don't see her getting brought anytime soon, either, or at all, if I'm being honest. Gamora regrettably takes more from the MCU nowadays than she does from her own comics history & it's at the point with her where I get excited if a writer knows what Annihilation is in general.
And because it's not gonna be mentioned for Gamora, it can't be mentioned for Adam, either.
I will say that the best shot of an Atleza namedrop, maybe even appearance, in the coming years is probably from a Ron&Ron miniseries. They're doing a lot of work with that era (the Silver Surfer & Adam Warlock minis are wonderful & I'd highly recommend them) & a follow up has already been announced. Still in the Infinity Watch era, but hey, if they continue, maybe they'll hit Atleza eventually.

finished rewatching Thor 1. How is this movie so good? Like I usually rank it so high but I was prepared for me to be reminded of bad stuff in it or whatever BUT LIKE. NOT AT ALL? Even the now overdone post-credits teaser concept was so spot on then (setting up cap1, the avengers 1, the tesseract, and nick fury, erik selvigs and nick furys involvement) and just like? Hits all the emotional beats, has the best villain (bringing back Loki in avengers 1 really is the best decision of all time I'll get back to that once I rewatch that), does NOT in fact end on a 'saving earth' battle but on Thor trying to save Jotunheim (full circle character moment) and ThorJane is even cuter than I remember holy moly.
This is the first mcu movie I ever saw and I get why I fell in love it, and it was a gateway to the mcu as a whole. It stumbles at times but man it has a vision, one that stands on its own but works to set up future stories. I love it so. When it was made they couldn't have fathomed what it would be a part of but it makes it somehow even more special.

I do think icebeast is like. Not something with potential in the current era but Bobby’s nebulous age makes things so weird like the peak was those of comics where they’re always going on dates together and disappearing when the lights go out when Bobby was ~16 and Hank was ~18 but they really seem to want to make Bobby younger retroactively (and probably Hank a little older too, like compared to jean and Scott). It makes shipping them frustrating
That's a fair enough concern anon, honestly Bobby definitely has one of the strangest ages in comics, like he's not quite as bizarre as whatever Franklin and Val have going on or Kitty and Jubilee but he definitely has a weird one... like again I do think IceBeast is definitely in the text and I think writers would really benefit for admitting Bobby had a crush on him. Also, I think that while Hank is maybe not as unattainable as literal angel Warren, he still is very much so a private crush / fantasy from the best friend thing, and the fact that he's the oldest of the 5. But yeah it is kind of weird how Bobby has shifted from being a kind of childish 16 year old to being more like 14 or maybe even 13 with how fans and writers and artists talk about and depict him in those early days and recontextualises that dynamic into being more one-sided than it might have initially been.

I stumbled upon the Doctor Strange animated movie from 2007! I had no idea it existed! I ate it up like I was starving 🤤
I enjoyed it because it was a Dr. Strange movie and I love seeing my boi get portrayed in different media.
But I have thoughts about this movie 👀
I know it’s pretty much made for kids, but let me have this
It is a very 2007 production, I feel that I’m so spoiled with animation in general now, the animation felt slow and there wasn’t much in the way magic, 😔
I also didn’t like that there were no interesting women characters, they had a few women sorcerers, but they were killed off pretty quickly
Seriously this dude that didn’t wear a shirt lasted longer than the hot goth sorcerer lady, I was super pissed.
Tumblr media
But I felt better because shirtless chad got dead by the end of the movie so I felt better about it 😌
Tumblr media
Anyway, the female doctor that was once Steange’s love interest is also uninteresting, it’s not her fault tho and even strange’s interactions at her at the end felt forced because we spent no time with her and really didn’t know anything about their relationship other than it was over because Stephen was a prick.
Also I rolled my eyes that she paid for his trip Tibet! Of course she did and she gets no thanks for it really! Wtf Stephen 🤨
I know the Ancient One is supposed to be a man, but I just love that change for the MCU, let me have my strong female characters and she’s more relatable because she wasn’t this perfect master, she’ll always be my Ancient One 🥺
Tumblr media
Now onto the stuff I loved!!!
Naked!Stephen enjoying a hot bath 💦
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He looks lonely in that tub 😉
His Fit!
LOOK AT HIM SERVING LOOKS 🥺😩
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the best part is this outfit comes so suddenly, like I didn’t realize he was “done” with his training 😆 and the next scene he looks like a snack, it was so sudden I laughed out loud but I also loved it. I love his hair 😍 the swept back gray bang really does it for me 😩
That his sister died after he performed her surgery! 😭
Now I didn’t like it obviously, but I think a really interesting plot point and is very much in line with young Stephen thinking he can fix everything, poor dumb dumb.
I actually like it more than the story we got about Donna in MOM, this seems more in line with his character.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stephen protecting and saving the kids in their minds since he said he didn’t treat children and wouldn’t help in the beginning 🥺😩
Wong scouting new sorcerers to train, including mentioning a woman named Clea as the top candidate!!!! I watched the scene a second time to make sure he said Clea 😩😩😩 ✨
It would be an interesting change if Clea was human and got recruited to be Stephen’s disciple and eventual lover 😉
Also Cloakie! The best boi. The moment. The OG real one
Again I know Stephen’s supposed to be Sorcerer Supreme blah blah, but I do prefer that Wong is Sorcerer Supreme in the MCU. MCU Wong would never put up with comic Stephen 😆
Tumblr media
I love their dynamic this way! Plus I think Stephen not officially being Sorcerer Supreme frees him up to do other things story wise like travel to the dark dimension with Clea 😘

@roastyoualive liked for a starter
Logan strolled into his office, immediately making a b-line for his desk. He was running late. After playing dress up to get more funding out of business wackos, it was right back to the school to deal with something about stink bombs going awry in the science wing, and after attempting to air out the whole place, he was racing back to his office to try and make it in time for his next student appointment.
New students, transfer students, exchange students--the fuckin' file was here somewhere. Even under all the annoyance at having to dig, there was a little bit of pride in seeing just how much the school had grown since its opening. Not that he really had a chance to ever stop and admire it, 'cause right now, the kid whose file he was actually looking for got escorted in. Logan waved him over to the sofa as he kept on digging, opening a drawer in the hopes of finding what he was looking for there.
"C'mon in, kid, take a seat. Sorry, day's been busy. Yer Warren Peace, yeah? Were you an exchange or transfer student?"

is Skaar plural?
Please note before I answer this that I'm not plural/a system in any way so my answers are purely as what I've been able to gather from reading the comics over the years and how Skaar is written and presented.
Anyway, I would say Skaar is not plural for the reason that in his character, many writers have intended him to copy Bruce and essentially be a Hulk 2.0. While Skaar talks about his smaller self in third person at times and often it SEEMS like he's a different person, it's not really the same as how Hulk/Bruce/Joe or other comic systems like the Moon Knight System or Crazy Jane from Doom Patrol seem to be written with the intention of hem being plural.
There's never any internal conversation, no regard to the fact that the giant person Skaar grows into is someone else, surely Bruce would at least acknowledge that his son inherited his mental traits as well, right?
Not to mention the fact that most comic writers are not exactly the best when it comes to portraying mental illness either in correct or non-offensive ways. Bruce hasn't always been confirmed to have DID by certain writers, or they choose to project it poorly. A lot of writers even call it "Hulk Syndrome" and automatically give a lot of gamma mutates second personalities simply because they assume that's what happens when you're a Hulk, rather than realising Bruce had a severely traumatic childhood that resulted in him forming his alters to protect him.
So while that's not to say Skaar can't be plural, if that's what makes you happy to see him as and for some to relate to the character in this way, I wouldn't say he is purely because a lot of writers weren't writing him with the intention of plurality and mainly used it as an excuse to have Skaar be able to turn large for fights. After all, a 12 year old isn't that exciting for fisticuffs, are they?
