Catch me thinking of the Moon Boys and Peter/Miles from the Spider-Man game.

WARNING, SPOILERS OF BOTH SPIDER-MAN GAMES MENTIONED

Jake is definitely a father figure to Peter, having known him longer, but a secondary uncle figure to Miles when he’s introduced to the crime fighting family. Physically dragged Peter to his place after Oct and May and took turns with MJ to make sure he ate/slept. Sure, while Khonshu granted him strength with the suit, he had a hard time fighting it out with Peter one particularly nasty night until he broke down crying. With Miles, he takes the kid out in his taxi and just drives until the teen says something. Peter already did a ton to help him with his grief, but to have Jake there listen to his long day at school, or about the music he was working on, or the first time he took out a gunrunner, Jake just listens. They cross paths with him as Moon Knight, and Miles about fainted with delight when he realized he knew someone else’s identity!

(Jake totally doesn’t shadow Miles a lot when Peter finally lets him go on his own, what are you talking about)

Marc is a surprise the first time Miles meets him. One moment, he and Jake had been saving some small girls from their abusive mother, and the next Jake’s suit had turned from black and white to an almost mummy-like suit of white and gold. He also has lost his Spanish accent, taking on a more Chicago twang as he kneels down by the girls and tells them where to go to get help. He introduces himself when Miles and Marc take to the roof, and the teen is confused until he rings Peter up. The American is more standoffish than Jake, which in an of itself is a feat, but softens to Miles fairly quickly when he starts asking all sorts of questions about DID and himself. Miles isn’t judgmental, no he’s so eager to learn about Marc, and while he doesn’t tell the kid a lot, what he does excites Miles as much as the fact his suit changes. Peter just seems happy to see Marc, who sits with him in private later and cries about Doc, and Marc just puts his arm on Peter’s shoulder. He can’t fix the fact the older man is lost into madness of his own design, but Marc makes a few calls to help Peter get on his way back into scientific work once he’s had some time to mourn both Doc and May.

If he and MJ found buying their desired dream home easier all of a sudden, Marc won’t know what you’re talking about.

Steven adores them both equally, excited to have another spider-son to help coach. He and Peter may not fully come to agreements with science and history as their chosen professions, but there have been many many late nights excitedly chatting over old coffee and cold pizza. Peter never lacks for books, bits and pieces of tech for his upgrades, scientific journals and documentaries to watch, and in turn he sits in on every lecture that Steven is able to give with his...questionable teaching papers. While he despaired at first, Miles was glad that Steven took on helping him through school as much as he could. Late night spider work took out his old time for homework, but to have Mr. Knight perched on a buildings edge reading his work out while Miles answered back through fighting, well it helped. Steven is the first one to meet Rio after Miles and Peter worked her through learning of his identity, absolutely charming her despite his occasional stuttering and silently bickering with Jake to let him try the vegan dishes first please!

Miles ends up graduating with honors, and Steven is cheering as loud as Rio is beside him.

Remember that moment in ITSV, when Miles first meets his world's Spider-Man and their spider senses do the thing?

The background behind Peter is as we'd expect; the classic red and blue.

But at first Miles' background is green and purple, two colors he's never associated with at all throughout the movie. As the moment goes on, it shifts to match Peter's.

We are literally watching Miles' fate change and the anomaly happen.

It's well established that the spider that bit him was not supposed to even be in that universe, meaning our Miles was supposed to be something else before it happened.

This isn't true for ITSV, but in every other version of Spider-Man, the main color scheme for the Prowler is green and purple.

Our Miles was supposed to become the next Prowler in his world. And the only reason he's not, is because of the original Prowler. Miles switched his fate with Earth-42 Miles.

Something REALLY interesting about this scene

At the beginning of the scene Miles confronts Gwen about the 'small elite strike-team' comment.

Gwen lies and plays it off, saying that most of them are part-time anyway.

IMMEDIATELY after that in the next line dialogue, Hobie confronts Gwen and asks her 'Gwendy, how much have you told him about his place in all this? - Maybe not enough.'

Hobie is expressioning disappointment towards Gwen. He doesn't approve of her lying to Miles, knowing what's gonna happen to him. He doesn't agree with them keeping him in the dark - which is why later in the scene he says

'I haven't gotten a Scooby Doo, mate. But that's what they want.'

He's warning Miles that they're keeping in him the dark, on purpose.

ONCE AGAIN Hobie showing foward thinking and outwardly disapproving of the obviously unfair treatment that Miles is given. He's not angry at Gwen, but he's willing to tell her straight up that she's not doing or telling Miles enough to protect him.

Miles deserved to know Miguel's motives BEFORE meeting him. That's why he pointed it out then.

He's ALWAYS looking out for Miles
