Am I the only one who think that Queen ll is the fucking best album of Queen ? I mean... the songs are just amazing and the lyrics, just WOW. Thank you Freddie, John, Roger and Brian you beautifuls boys for this underrated masterpiece, because of you I just feel like the queen of the world when I listen to the fairy feller master stroke or the march of the black queen with my headphones 😎😎

Haha, okay, I'm crawling out of the woodwork to just... look at these pictures, which are terribly cute, first off.
instagram
But also, it completely brought to mind the massive hate-boner some people on tumblr had for Mary and how evil she apparently was and how much she disapproved of Freddie being gay and his friends. Bruh. Idk who in their right mind can look at these pics, of Freddie's ex hanging out with ALL of his gay friends and partner and no other females, and genuinely think "What a bad person she was for not fully embracing his sexuality and for not being bestiesss with all of his male friends". I'm literally 😂
Jesus.

"For many years now, I have had the joy and privilege of living surrounded by all the wonderful things Freddie sought out and so loved. But with the passing of time the moment has arrived for me to take what was difficult decision to close this very special chapter of my life. It was, of course, incredibly important to me to do this in a way nothing he loved more than an auction and no auction house he loved more than Sotheby’s. What a wonderful and fitting partnership!
Freddie was naturally gifted, articulate and intelligent collector who showed us that there is beauty and fun and conversation to be found in everything he brought. He was inspired by them, he talked about them, and he shared them with all visitors to his beloved home, Garden Lodge. The objects he surrounded himself with were not one of visual beauty, but also pieces that reflected a love of romance and often a hidden narrative that intrigued him or with which he found a natural empathy. From the artistic methods of the Japanese block prints to the intimate 18th-century portraiture, we feel the stories within. His tastes were varied but always led by his love of a piece in whatever form that took.
I have been asked many times why Garden Lodge was not turned into a museum for public view. When asked the same question, Freddie was very clear that he did not wish for it be viewed as such. This sale and this beautifully curated book are opportunities for me to now lovingly respect his wishes while sharing all the many facets of Freddie, both public and private, so the world can understand more about, and celebrate, his unique and beautiful spirit.
It is indeed the word ’celebrate’ that means so much to me in the context of this sale. It is, most importantly, a celebration of his life, his intellect and his influence. I hope you all enjoy it and find as much wonderment in it all as I have over the years.”
