William’s body is rigid against yours, clearly surprised when you so willingly embrace him, burying your face against his shirt. You don’t care if it’s musty, you just want to be close to him.

“You were waiting for me. You knew I was coming,” you murmur into the uniform top.

His arms fold over you, still stiff and awkward. “Yes. I always know.” Deft fingers thread through your rain soaked tresses. “You’re making a bad habit of this. You’re going to get sick, and then of what use to me will you be?” he chides, but you sense something more than a selfish reprimand triggering his words. He was genuinely concerned for your well being.

“I brought a change of clothes this time.” You nudge the backpack at your feet, leaning back to study his features. “You’re hungry,” you observe, eyes tracing over the hollowed borders of his eyes and the dusky, almost violet tinge to his lips.

“It can wait. Go get changed.” He releases you and you reluctantly pick up your bag. “I’ll be in Parts and Service. I’m working on something.”

“What?”

“You’ll see.” He turns and strides back down the hallway, leaving you trailing in his wake until your paths diverge and you step into the restroom to change your clothing. You begin to peel off the damp layers one by one, staring at your reflection in the mirror.

You don’t look the same anymore.

There’s a foreign gleam illuminating your eyes that you don’t recognize. Your movements are more graceful and fluid than they once were. It’s as if your genetic code is being altered, scratched out and rewritten.

You towel dry your saturated hair, making fists in the terry cloth fabric to absorb the moisture, sliding it along the nape of your neck that’s still damp from the inclement weather outside.

Outside. It’s hard to believe such a place exists when you’re here.

The establishment, fueled by your blood, flowing from William’s vessel into it through whatever connection was there, has begun to feel like home.

You finish dressing and then make your way towards the maintenance area. You haven’t been to this part of the pizzeria since you’d explored it on your very first day. How long ago that seemed now, the weeks blurring to months, to nearly a year.

Past the rows of loaded shelves and workstations, the piles of endoskeleton fragments and discarded mascot costumes, you find the owner seated at a cluttered desk covered in pieces of metal and wiring, an assortment of tools scattered close at hand. A single desk lamp draped in the threads of an old spiderweb like the garland on a Christmas tree illuminates dusty stacks of papers with sketches and diagrams etched onto their surfaces. He turns to greet you, the words dying on his lips when he sees what you’re wearing.

“What is that?”

“Just a dress,” you say, smoothing a hand over the row of tiny buttons holding together the knee length dark fabric. “You don’t like it?”

“I prefer modesty and decorum,” he replies, his attention drawn back to the project before him.

“This is perfectly respectful!” You protest, insulted. Somehow you’d imagined a very different response. “So what is it you’re working on?”

“An improvement on the previous designs.”

“Improved how?” You peer over his shoulder, one hand resting on the threadbare material that covers it, gently massaging, but none of it makes any sense to you.

He sighs, setting down a pair of pliers. “If you’re going to be in here with me, I need to be able to concentrate.”

“Am I distracting you?” You let your fingers tease along the collar of his shirt. You don’t know what’s come over you. You find yourself unable to stop touching him, desperate to feel his body.

“Yes,” he growls.

“You could just feed until I’m unconscious. Then I wouldn’t be able to bother you.” Your tone is light and playful, but you both know you’re not really teasing.

He turns to face you, frowning. “You’re too eager.”

“You don’t want to?” You’re unsure of his sudden reluctance to bite you, abruptly releasing his shoulder. You’ve made a misstep somewhere. Perhaps he liked you better when you were meek and mild and demure. You don’t even know how to behave like that anymore. You’re too restless, too ravenous.

“Of course I want to,” he says quietly.

“Did you miss me at all? I mean, is this what you do all day, brooding here, surrounding yourself with all of this…whatever this is. Do you ever think about me?”

The empty hand resting on the desk curls into a fist. “I think about my next meal, yes,” he says, voice clipped.

“More than that. I’m more than that, aren’t I?” Even you can hear the ill concealed plea in that innocent query. You want to be more. You need it.

You need him.

“No, you’re not,” he insists, voice cracking on the words.

You shake your head in disbelief. “You’re lying.”

“What is it you think is happening here, exactly? You’re disposable. Another tool to be used like any of these,” he gestures to the array on the desk. “You’re a means to an end and nothing more.”

You refuse to accept his dismissal. “You’re just afraid.”

He chuckles dryly. “Afraid? Don’t be absurd. What could I possibly be afraid of?”

“Because you feel something. And you don’t want to. Because it means being vulnerable and losing control.”

“I haven’t lost control of anything,” he snarls, lurching to his feet, the chair tipping onto its side. “I see now I’ve been too lenient with you. I won’t make that mistake again.” He reaches for you, fingers wrapping around your throat, shoving you into the nearest shelf, the stored objects jostling, sending them clattering to the cement floor as you collapse roughly among them. The unyielding surface bruises your thigh as you land and you wince in pain.

He joins you on the floor, pinning your wrists on either side of your head, one knee wedged between your thighs. His breathing is ragged, pupils blown with desire, a faint trail of drool leaking from his mouth.

There is no hesitancy when his fangs pierce your throat, the familiar sensation wracking your body. Your thighs squeeze the joint pressed between them, clamping down, grinding your core against him. Your entire body is on fire, you don’t care that he’s destroying you, you want him to obliterate you.

He moans against you, a primal, gutteral sound issued from somewhere deep within. He hears you groan his name and it brings him back to his senses, pulling him away from the frenzy of bloodlust, but only just.

The concrete is cold and unpleasant.

You stir, recognizing the warmth tucked against your back is William.

He mirrors your movements as you sit up. Your neck throbs and you have a headache. You don’t think you’ve ever been so thirsty.

”You stayed with me while I slept.”

”Yes. I always do.”

”Why?”

He blinks, confused. “To make certain you’re recovering…”

”Why?” You repeat again. “Why does it matter if I recover or not? I’m disposable, remember? How did you phrase it? Oh, yes. ‘A means to an end’.”

His eyes looked anguished. “That’s not fair.”

”No, what’s not fair is your treating me like this, after everything I’ve done for you. I could have let you sit here and rot.”

You expect him to rage, to remind you he’s in charge and you exist only to do his bidding, surprised when he does not.

“You shouldn’t come here anymore,” he cautions softly.

You stop rubbing the tender bruise on your thigh. “What are you talking about? Why not?”

His chin lifts, eyes flashing. There is a healthy blush in his cheeks and lips, the wan, gaunt appearance from earlier muted by your blood gift to him, his appetite momentarily sated. “Because I’m going to kill you. I’m not going to be able to stop myself.”

“What will happen to you if I don’t come back?”

“I don’t know. The same thing as before, I expect. A type of hibernation. Until the next victim comes looking where they shouldn’t.” He swallows, his voice softening. “It will destroy me, not seeing you again.”

“William…” You touch his cheek and he shudders. Smoothing a thumb over his lips, you lean towards him, kissing his mouth. He’s stiff, surprised at first, but then surrenders, responding to your mouth, his lips becoming malleable, his tongue pliant against yours. You can taste the metals of your blood, densely dispersed amidst muscle and tissue.

You take one of his hands and place it at the base of your throat, tugging downward slightly, encouraging him. The buttons are fragile, easily released. His palm eases over the satin fabric of your bra, kneading the curve of your breast. You feel the flame he’d stoked earlier reigniting, your need still unmet. He cradles your head as you lie back, winding the tie around your hand and wrenching him closer. The hard line of his erection presses along one hip, frustratingly just out of reach of where you need him most.

“No.” His mouth breaks free of yours and his body lifts, the sudden absence of his weight and warmth nearly painful. “No, this ends here.”

“Why? What am I doing wrong?”

He draws the back of one wrist against his mouth, as if to rid himself of the taste of you. “Nothing. Everything. You need to go. Forget our agreement. I’m releasing you.” He stands, looking down at you, his eyes cold, his voice flat and dispassionate. Only the slightest tremor in his jaw betrays the underlying emotion, so neatly concealed you’re not certain if you’ve imagined it.

“This is your final warning. Don’t ever come back.”

Since BanBan 6 (when tf is GOB 5 coming out, we’re getting 7 before 5) came out, I decided that the “rewrite” AU (probably renaming it) ends after BanBan 4. Therefore, Rachelle/the protagonist finally, FINALLY gets her kid back!

I originally made his design on the fly back in 2023, and nowadays I don’t really like it. He kind of looked like another design I made, so I ended up redesigning him. Aaron is very much an important character despite his limited appearance; other than Rachelle going to the kindergarten to find him and bring him home, he is also the reason why the mascots end up being on her side. I would have to rewrite a lot of the plot I have already rewritten for it, but he is very much important.

I honestly have a gripe with GOB veering off the original story, which was finding our missing child, and I’m pretty sure the devs are just writing from the seat of their pants, I mean the recent trailer apparently has ALIENS?? I cannot be bothered to check, I don’t really watch the trailers anyway. I’m sticking to the original plot, being “find your missing kid” with my rewrites add-on of “discovering the torment that the experiments went through is still affecting them”. I’m rambling, sorry—

But given Tinky's mascot like appearance and Tick Tock originally being a song by a children's cartoon character in NitW I couldn't help but imagine Tinky singing the rewritten version that appears in the game.

In your pinned post, I'm curious to know what's going on with the bat dragon person and who might be you holding your cat? Poking around the blog hasn't gotten me answers. Or maybe answers are there and I'm just hungry and tired.

I had this whole thing written with pics on my phone, and then the wifi flaked and the whole things became lost into tumblr's void when I hit post, so this is the 2nd version. ;-; But this version has more images so it's objectively better.

That's not me in the image. That's Lily Mills, the main character of one of my original comics I post on Tapas and Webtoons Canvas. Pine Barrens Super Natural is based on the legends I grew up hearing from my family about the New Jersey Pine Barrens/Pinelands, and shojo romance comics. Lily is a mix of me and my sibling from when we were young -that's why she looks like me (and Lyly if you know what they look like from MtW.)

The series blurb & summary of Ch 1&2: Lily Mills and her dad, Don Mills, have just moved into the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. On their first night there, Lily is attacked by monsters that should only exist in legends. Luckily, another super natural monster also rescues her. There's definitely some connection to the super natural hidden in Lily's past, and it's going to a lot harder for it to stay hidden now that she finds herself surrounded by all sorts of Super Natural things.

This comic is actually a reboot of the original comic I started when I was 15-16 in my Sophomore year of Highschool. (It was made on notebook paper.) When I started it I didn't really have a plan for where it was going until around chapters 15-20, so this reboot is taking a lot of loose ends and either cutting them out or adapting them to work with the plot. It's taking me so long to make because I'm struggling with burnout, and I'm now past most of the mental issues I was using it to process so sometimes working on it puts be make into that worst head space. With Lyly's help as my editor we have rewritten and redesigned the parts that cause me problems so once I get back into it, I should be fine.

The little kitty thing is Mascot. He normally appears at the bottom chapters with the credits, in the cover images, and sometimes pops up in chapters with author's notes and comments.

((If anyone wants to head canon any of my characters as neurotypical just know that it is head canon and not supported by anything in the plot -or me))

Below this point are more character descriptions, but just know that most involve spoilers for things that happen after Ch2. I didn't spoil the biggest things just a few things that lead up to them.

The devil catboy is Damian Leeds the son of the Jersey Devil (TJ) and a human (Nancy). I grew up hearing many different stories about the Jersey Devil with many different depictions so this version is a polymorph, and so is his son. Damian is able to change between human, Neko Mimi, and full furry forms. Lily does not know that the Kitty Devil that saved her is Damian. Damian gets a massive crush on Lily. He's very emotionally secure which makes him a great support as a friend, but he also struggle with recognizing that others won't respond to stress the same way he does.

Nancy Leeds works at the local Super Natural Animal Wildlife Reserve. She is also Don's new boss. SN stuff is kept secret from the populace.

Even though Lily and Damian are the central 2 characters, the readers have pretty unanimously voted Erik as the fan favorite. They are a mix of many of the friends I had growing up. She is nonbinary and uses all pronouns. He is a huge nerd, lover of chaos and cringe. When not in the school building, Erik wears a beanie their brother made them that reads "I ♥️ Emo Boys." She's the heart of the group without question.

Alex is Erik's older brother. He is a huge anxiety gay, and introvert. He prefers letting others take center stage while he watches. This does mean he's prone to bottle things up. Luckily he's the type to go to his friends for help after isolating to process. He hasn't had many appearances yet, but what has been revealed is that he really likes fashion and sewing. He has also been weirdly touchy with Lily and even he doesn't know why. The most recent chapter and the next few will have him as a focus.

(Alex and Erik are half Italian, half Columbian American. This hasn't had an opportunity to be brought up in the story yet. I had a bunch friends that were Columbian. Their extended family and specifically their grandparents were very like my Italian grandparents. So I made these two a mix of those just like they are mixes of many friends I had growing up. Even though I've had these characters for half of my life, I have never been able to decide on a last name for them.)

The last of the friend group is Mike Sasha Keith Apple Gate. In the OG version I made in Highschool, I had 3 characters that all played the same role at different times throughout the story so I mixed them into 1 person and introduced him in the plot much sooner. He too hot to remain single and keeps ending up in unwanted romantic relationships. MSK has anger management problems while also completely failing at defending his own boundaries. He has a grudge against Damian and the why hasn't been revealed yet. He's author's favorite and you can tell because of how much effort I put into his outfits and hair. Lastly, it has been revealed that MSK can see Super Natural Energy. It is through his eyes that it's also revealed that Alex's behavior around Lily is cause by an energy around her.

best of all its al niente! thats actually one of the original prose stories for breadavota so its not new (i was wondering when it would get reuploaded), but this seems to be a rewrite :))) i dont have the original but i vaguely remember it, this version is more unified with the music metaphors, and theres a lot more clarity imo so im super happy to see it ^_^

from what i can remember the reason it wasnt uploaded at first was because of similarity to another story so im guessing it was rewritten to have more differences, im glad for it bcuz i felt this was always an essential part of building sc's character even if the prose stories are "optional" contents

first impression: scarecrow REALLY sounds like a parent™. maximum amounts of parent that one can be parent

the way this first line is worded to completely underplay how bien has never had a life outside of exile as just being "a little time spent at home" is so passive-aggressive and what i rly like about this story is that sc's voice is so like medias, it rly drives in that even tho they hate media as their own parent they took after him to some degree

the music metaphors are a cool way to tie in comparing bien to bons own teenage experience

this sounds like an angry mom going to their kids school to complain in the principles office

ahhh this lines, it perfectly has that tone of a parent who is genuinely concerned for you but is just such a massive bitch about it, "all children are the same, they do precisely what you tell them not to do, then they can't even look at you afterwards" especially

i also rly like this last line "as if we were the parasites ourselves" referencing not only how sc is trying to shoot away the crows scavenging the dead soldiers but i think it has that same passive aggressive tone where it's like, "im the one here working so hard and yet you treat me showing concern to you as if IM in the wrong!"

"i hear an excerpt of him in every single one of you" oof... ouch... screaming and crying... also @marisunnycest reminds me of that line you wrote with bon finding a piece of bien in the other soldiers like :")) your mind

idk if intentional or not but goood to me this lines is not only sc talking to the scavengers it almost sounds like them projecting their own feelings about failed parenthood, this sounds exactly like how i imagine bon laments their relationship to media

especially that last line, in regards to sc being forced into maldevaras "mascot" and then being forbidden from ever being a part of it, robbed of the home that the court promised it would give them

also bonus but i searched up the title meanings

they contrast each other with fermata being a note that is prolonged and al niente is when sound fades away "to nothing", very nice detail

as i have recently finished madoka magica (and rebellion) i can confirm Megumi Yakushiji is Diet Homura

Oh yeah she is SUCH Diet Homura. Make a deal with the shady mascot for the sake of the person you love! Do things you consider morally questionable at best for their sake! Discover the mascot was misleading you all along!

Fortunately for Megumi, she’s not actually in a horror story where the world itself is so actively hostile it needs to be fundamentally rewritten for a hopeful ending to be possible. She goes into it distrusting Fluffy because he’s manipulating her but so blatantly so she knows she’s selling her soul. (Also, pretty sure the cast are at least a year or two older than the Madoka crew on the whole which helps Megumi be a bit more skeptical.) Also fortunately for Megumi, Fluffy is more trustworthy than Kyubey… I have questions about why his particular plan was the best option, but it did work so I guess we have to assume it was.

Also fortunately for Megumi no one told the writers “okay so it turns out this was super-popular so we’re going to make a continuation movie” and then subsequently went “this is a good script but can you give us a sequel hook so we can keep going from here?” Which motivated a last-minute twist. And then that sequel hook/twist turned out to be so massively and immediately contentious that they didn’t keep going for a decade and Urobuchi reportedly wrote the script for the coming movie before working on Thunderbolt Fantasy so it’s been sitting in a drawer since before 2015. Which doesn’t necessarily mean anything about its quality for it to have been shelved, but… Concerns, y’know?

#yeah in case you couldn’t tell I have… Thoughts about the ending of Rebellion #which are pretty fundamentally informed by the fact that this wasn’t planned this was a decision made for further sequels #and while I theoretically think it could work it is 1000% dependent on how they treat her in the followup #which not making for a decade. did not help.#(I’ve also yet to watch Rebellion myself and ‘could theoretically work’ is therefore divorced from how the movie itself frames it all #which matters A LOT in how much trust I’m willing to give the team as a whole for Walpurgisnacht Rising)#but fortunately 13 Sentinels is not a universe stacked against its characters! so Megumi and Juro can escape their fates #without needing to fundamentally rewrite the universe to do so

I see a lot of people say they don't want Joker to be important in The Batman sequels, that they're sick of Joker, etc. but is it just me or do people kind of overstate how ubiquitous Joker is in Batman adaptions? He appears in most of them yeah but that's to be expected when he's Batman's archnemesis. There are some where he doesn't show up, or if he does, isn't necessarily the main/only focus of the villains. The only time I can think of where it got egregious was in the Arkham games, but even then other villains still got a good deal of attention. Or do most of the people making these complaints just not like Joker in general?

Mm, no, I would agree Joker isn't as ubiquitous as he's made out to be in Batman media. However, I do agree with the complaints regarding him to an extent. I'd say it's less about how often he shows up and more about how he does it. Him showing up frequently should be a consequence of him being crucially important. Whether people like it or not, Joker is essential to Batman, that's impossible to dispute -- as you said, he's Batman's archnemesis. But there is a difference between writing a good Joker story and just... sticking Joker in one because he's a popular, titular character.

For instance, in the current Batman run they had Joker be the one who hired Deathstroke to kill Robin way back in the day, and I rolled my eyes so hard. They shove Joker in whenever they're in need of a Plot Twist (aha, it was Joker all along!) or when they have something horrible happen, because of course Joker would do that, he's deranged! Even if the act itself is not in character for Joker. He's come to be used as a plot device when writers don't know what villain to pull out of the hat, and it wouldn't annoy me as much if it were well-written. But instead of trying to fit the story within Joker's core characterization, his personality tends to get rewritten a lot, in order for the writer to tell the story they want. That's how you get... one-dimensional, shallow, typical serial killer and not-actually-funny Joker. So I get how this might make people feel Joker shows up too much, because a lot of the time he's not showing up in the right way, and it becomes grating. I love Joker, but even I am torn between watching his character get skewered vs. not reading about him at all.

Plus, something to keep in mind is the fact that a lot more people watch movies, and not nearly as much read comics. For many fans, the contact they've had with Joker has been through live-action films, and The Dark Knight (2008) especially. Ledger's iconic performance forever influenced what came after. Every attempt at playing Joker since then has had elements from it, and this after Joker got turned into a mascot for dudebros who watched TDK and thought "I'm an agent of chaos" is all there was to him. So many people associate Joker with this "We live in a society" kind of message now -- which Joker (2019) played into heavily, creating a completely different version of him -- when Joker in the comics is so much more than that. It's actually baffling to me how Joker, such a heavily queer-coded character (even within TDK) came to represent toxic masculinity for a lot of people. This, I would say, is another big reason why Joker has become so hated. People have heard of Joker inspiring a shooter to go into a theater and unload a gun into the audience, they've heard about Leto sending dead rats to his colleagues, they've seen all the toxic mysoginist 'alpha' males with Joker posters in their room, and they've landed on this horrid image of him. Which does annoy me to no end, because that's not who Joker is. Joker isn't about wanton destruction, the same way Batman isn't about mindless vengeance. But that's an essay for another day.

Also... it's become a bit of a trend in the last five years, especially on Tumblr and Twitter; to complain about Joker's every appearance, to wish for Batman to kill him or for Joker to disappear entirely, etc. Obviously not saying there aren't people who genuinely dislike Joker (and that's their prerogative), but there's a bit of a 'getting woke points' aspect to this more recent wave of hatred, which has become more prevalent right now for villains in general. Hating on Joker is an easy way to show your moral superiority -- after all, he did so many horrible things. And it's tough to even introduce nuance in a discussion about Joker with people like this, who only view the world in black and white, because they do not seek to understand. The goal, conscious or not, is more the performance a 'pure' moral stance so that they feel good about themselves, and so others flock to agree with them (which in turn makes the commentators feel good about themselves, and on it goes).

Sorry, anon, this got way longer than I expected :)) In the end, this Joker fatigue many DC fans are having right now is influenced by many factors, and it’s such a pity. When done right, Joker can be an absolute delight.

Takato, the Gallant Dreamer | Codename: "Knight"

Takato in 2011 is a graphic designer student at University, which he thought he could take this path after his adventures with the Tamers and the digimon. Inspired by family and friends, he starts practicing his art and skills, by creating a mascot for his family's bakery business, and so other things. He designed this "Black Guilmon" shirt (and he has a "regular Guilmon" one too) and made some stickers of their digimon partners for their own friends. He still wears his goggles, mostly to keep connected to Guilmon.

Speaking of Guilmon, the digimon are all around again. Takato had discovered a small gate which was able to fit a small Baby II level digimon on it. From there, he and his friends used to send messages for their digimon, until they all popped out of the gate. Guilmon spends most of the time as Gigimon and going everywhere with Takato -- from the classes to long trips to visit Kai.

One day, Takato and Gigimon are walking home when they hear Juri's voice asking for their help with something. That's kinda suspicious, but Takato's curiosity speaks for him and they follow her voice. Once they find Juri... They realize her eyes are red and glowing!?

Dodo

Dodo is a little cartoon girl with curly red hair who is the host and mascot of a kid-friendly website called Dodo's Island. Her site includes games, songs, and animations. Unfortunately, the site is difficult, if not impossible, to close out of once opened, and she has been known to pop up seemingly out of nowhere, wanting to play.

Dodo's Island, and Dodo herself, were the subjects of the first nightmare I can ever remember having. In the dream, I had been playing games in my elementary school computer lab when I found the website, and I realized I'd rather do something else after looking at it for a bit. I couldn't find a way to leave the site, and I was scared because something I was normally in control of wasn't anymore. I was suspicious that it was because of Dodo herself (which was not helped by the sudden game of hide-and-seek she'd begun playing). When I woke up, I couldn't get the dream out of my head, and I developed a brief phobia of curly red hair.

additional: Dodo's Island had a theme song that was a slightly rewritten version of "This Land is Your Land".

In your opinion, what is the probability of us becoming Malenia's "sweet tarnished, dearest companion..." in the DLC? Her cut lines plus Millicent's ending cliffhanger with the needle in the flower (and Miquella's ending cliffhanger with him just slumbering in Mohgwyn Palace per Mohg) has me wondering. That, and she was the game's mascot yet hardly has any presence in the final product.

it's hard to tell. elden ring has already been a bit unpredictable with regards to cut content so far. like, we know the "dlc01" (whatever that ends up being) is going to repurpose (enable?) the cut content with the colosseums. the dlc accordingly could tie a lot into pre-existing content, in a way fromsoftware games generally don't...

but the problem is specifically malenia (& miquella's) content was cut because it was subject to a rewrite. (i'm sure there were other factors at play here, but ultimately, that content is incompatible with the final version of the story.) mohg's content in turn was also rewritten a number of times, indicating they may have struggled a lot with miquella throughout development, and malenia's storyline naturally suffered as a result. it seems like she was going to be deeply involved in whatever that story was, so a lot of her screentime and characterization went with it.

i suppose it depends on if they bother to focus on miquella in the dlc; if they do, malenia would naturally become involved, and if not i don't see them continuing her storyline. both her and miquella are essentially the very definition of DLC bait, though, so i'll be surprised if they don't at least get some kind of cursory mention...

#i don't want to say this is necessarily bad writing #because malenia's story has nowhere else to go without miquella - she is already at her endpoint #elden ring

This makes me so hyped.

Steve Armstrong - While the dependence on using only a gun is a bit obnoxious in this test shot, it demonstrates respect to the source material. Also, in other promotional materials they briefly show scenes of Miguel Tanfelix engaging in hand-to-hand combat, so I'm satisfied.

Jamie Robinson - I'm so freaking pleased with this casting. Based on the source material, Jamie should be the most skilled fighter of the 5 pilots. The fact that Ysabel Ortega underwent rigorous training in both kickboxing and muay thai after being casted for this project demonstrates earnest respect for the role. Her hard work is paying off as she gives the impression that she's been working on martial arts films prior to getting this role. I'm interested in how they intend to justify her skills in the adaption.

Robert Armstrong - I'm so happy that they're already demonstrating that Big Bert knows some form of martial arts as in the source material, he's a skilled in various forms of martial arts. I don't Matt Lozano's skills really shine in this test shot but, in the behind the scenes stuff he's posted to Instagram, he seems to have really improved his arnis technique. Personally, I recall him more as a sword user, but materials seem to state that the staff is supposed to be his preferred weapon. I do hope they keep scenes of him practicing or mentoring sword fighting with Steve as technically Steve is the one who is charge of wielding the Voltes V's sword in combat.

Mark Gordon - Not depicted. I'm expecting his whole rodeo background to be completely rewritten and that his beloved horse Eiffle to be written out. It's disappointing, but horses are expensive to maintain on a set. I hope that this doesn't mean that his skills are reduced to boxing. I enjoyed that he was quick to start fisticuffs fights with Steve, but him being skilled with the whip and lasso really did help him stand out from other mech pilots.

John Armstrong - Not depicted. Honestly, if he has no little to no training in martial arts, it'll be fine. But I do hope they maintain him having special interests in naval tech and/or marine sciences. If he's still a talented diver or swimmer, I'll be very pleased. I actually liked his Tako-chan, compared to most other childish mascot minibots from other mech shows, but I'm doubtful that it would translate well to live action.

Update Time!

I won't be posting anything major in a while as I'm currently working on a large project. I won't give away much but simply put I am designing secret bosses for Deltarune for a couple of my friends and some other secret bosses too. Basically I'm building a secret boss dream team. Hopefully they'll become my sorta mascots and such.

In other news I'm thinking of officially rebranding my DeltaSwap take as a Deltarune Chapter Rewritten take. Though most of the swaps aren't the same. So I might just update the backstories to be more different from CR.

DeltaSwap is getting two new versions though. Obviously my classic one. Then Reimagined (which is basically the TS version) and DeltaSwap Rewritten (which is a fusion between my DeltaSwap and the style of Chapter Rewritten). But those aren't in a while. Also every character will be getting small to major updates coming soon. Not as drastic as the changes made to the Winterers Chapter Rewritten but simple aesthetic to help them feel more unique and lively.

UnderSwap is on a bit of hold as I currently have lost a few of the reference sheets for certain characters (more major ones) and what was scheduled as Swapfell is also being delayed since I didn't like some of the designs as they felt more Fellswap.

Lastly I am currently working on sprites for the charecters after the redesigning is done and planning songs for them. Unfortunately I don't play any instruments but these songs are more conceptual and if anyone does want to make them reality I'll be glad to provide my art and ideas.
