Masiakasaurus

So I've been randomizing the list of Scott Hartmann skeletals for these and I'd never heard of Masiakasaurus before. Which is a shame because forward/outward pointing teeth is one of my favourite design features. Instant fav.

My brain went "Crane!" looking at those long leggies and fishcatcher mouth, and wouldn't let it go, so crane it is! I'm not entirely pleased with it but it's fine.

While it’s small for its size, Masiakasaurus knopfleri (Knopfler’s vicious lizard) has often been referred to as one of the most bizarre dinosaurs, due to its forward-projecting teeth. While it’s not the biggest of predators, this theropod uses its strange jaws to catch and deal with equally weird prey, like crabs.

Seeing as a great number of you follow me for Small Toothy Bastard Content (there are 50 of you guys holy crap thanks) this is probably the perfect platform to showcase one of my own ocs, who, coincidentally, is a Small Toothy Bastard.

This is Coel! He's a masiakasaurus with some metal dental implants due to blowing off part of his face attempting to smuggle gunpowder.

(he's actually a Dinotopia oc, but that's sort of a niche fandom so I won't go into how he fits into Dinotopian politics besides the fact that he makes firearms which are very much illegal in the setting lmao, feel free to ask for more info if interested)

I haven't drawn him too terribly much but I really need to because he's great/awful!
